I love the area where the hotel is located. My one gripe is that the hotel needs to be updated. There are no usb ports in the room. The space needs some sprucing up too. A paint job and carpet change would be nice.
All staff members were extremely helpful and polite. One of the TVs in our suite had been unplugged from power and cable so we had to reach behind furniture to find cords-it was very dusty behind furniture. Bed was extremely comfortable. Water pressure in shower was not great. Sound buffering between rooms could be better-we could hear noise from adjacent rooms. Breakfast was great but should make hot food accessible from both sides to improve flow of people.
Staff was absolutely incredible, completely made the stay a wonder. Is now the go-to when in DC
Great
I like the breakfast, the happy hours, the location and the room
Great breakfast and happy hour
Clean room. Great breakfast. Complimentary beverages and discount on dinner! Pool was small but fun for kids!
For the price, I’ve had better
It was okay. One elevator was out of service and the pool was overwhelming chlorinated that when you walked in your eyes would start to water and get irritated
They gave our room to someone else and only had a King suite available. One person had to sleep on the floor the entire stay and they didn’t even have extra pillows to give to us. It didn’t seem as though the staff communicated with one another, as we had to explain our parking situation each day and each shift. They didn’t have parking available to us either.
Great
The rooms and beddings are a bargain, without doubt. I will repeat. The breakfast is the low key, and reaching front desk, mission impossible. The bell hop or concierge is very knowledgeable.
Erica was great at check-in
Will stay in this location again !
very satisfied. The stay and service were beyond expectations. Thanks
What a wonderful stay! The hotel staff were lovely and restaurant
Stay here, clean, friendly, great amenities
amazing stay, clean rooms, friendly staff, helped with accommodations (having kids in adjacent room. Awesome breakfast (do not miss omelet line!!!), pool and hot tub hit with kids and parent’s tired feet;). Not to mention happy hour! win win for all. those who wish can work out, while we indulge;)
We have stayed at this hotel many times. We like the convenience to everything and the buffet breakfast. It is a great place for families to go. The staff are very friendly and accomodating
Little market across the street was so helpful with kids. Super safe and clean area. Walkable to many places, ubered a lot with kids.
Great stay
The moment I walked into their doors I felt very well taken cared of. Ty e breakfast was great the beds was comfortable and the house keeping rocked. It was a wonderful stay.
Great place to stay to do DC with family or couple! Great breakfast and just a wonderful place to stay to walk into Georgetown and other places in Washington
Great Hotel
It was amazing, very clean and spacious room. The staff was courteous and helpful.
Excellent services.
Great people, great food, great amenities, great atmosphere!
Customer Service was amazing!
Clean, great staff, & convenient. I had one minor issue with the breakfast staff. He didn't want to give me mayonnaise because they only give it out for lunch/dinner. Fortunately the manager was right there, I told him, problem corrected.
Nice
Wonderful stay, lovely warm reception and such helpful hospitality from all the staff we met. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, very good for families. Thank you too to the housekeeping team for the daily room service and fresh towels etc.
Great experience!
Very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly . The breakfast in the morning was very good and the receptions in the evenings were nice also. This hotel was close to the airport and to the museums. The next time I visit D.C. ,I will stay here.
We visit it dc every year and this is our favorite place to stay
Electricity problem on the first night. We had to find an alternate hotel.
Power went. Hotel said it would be resolved in a few hours. But did not notify us that it was resolved. We had to check out of the hotel early and find a new hotel. They said they will refund us for the day we lost but still have not several days later.
Festive atmosphere for the Christmas and new years holiday period. It was perfect for walking into Georgetown and DuPont circle. We enjoyed the evening receptions and meals at District Tap. Breakfast buffet was ample but overcrowded and chaotic. I suggest they reorganize the crowd flow and add extra cleaning staff during peak times at breakfast. All in all, it was a great value and we were satisfied.
Unfortunately the power went out last night. Very, very cold! The staff, however, were most accommodating, and were even able to make omlets for breakfast.
This is a beautiful hotel with excellent service from all staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant service was great and the food was delicious. I will definitely stay here again.
Comfortable rooms, great staff
Clean and fun
So far excellent property!
Staff was wonderful. Highly recommend.
Everything is amazing
Very nice hotel l, nice room , good brekfast , not good restaurant food.
I
Loved the breakfast and cocktail hour welcome. Loved convenient hot tub/pool. Disappointed that hot tub cleaning occurred in am hours so last day of visit we could not use. This was one reason we booked here. Overall a good experience.
We were very appreciative of the accommodating staff.
Really good hotel, good breakfast, lots of options for food, close to everything
Call hotel to verify reservation
Checking in was lengthy (about an hour) due to the hotel canceling my stay - instead of x'ing just the one day we added on ahead of the week, they x'd the whole stay for both of us. They did blame it on Hotels.com, but I showed them the app's confirmation, and after remarks back and forth and moving future visitors to other rooms, they eventually accommodated us. Now I'll always call the hotels to verify my reservations. Also, the sheets are very rough, the dining area is very cold (temperature), they charge $100/room for early check-out, and food is not available between 2-4:30p.
Clean, spacious and quiet rooms
Not worth the money!!! They do need to fix their showers- you would have to turn on the shower for at least 40 min to get hot water , otherwise water is hardly warm. Also, water pressure is so low. I have long hair and it took me forever to get the shampoo off my hair due to low water pressure. Rooms were outdated and not well cleaned. Will not be coming back.
Wonderful
Stayed during inaguration. Location was convenient. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful and housekeeping did an amazing job keeping up with the large number of guests. Breakfast selection was good and great way to start a day of sigh5 seeing. Would definitely stay again.
Getting a suite is the way to go with kiddos. Desk acts as a dinner table. Couch and TV in the living room is great. Probably walkable to the national mall in the spring and fall, but a taxi/uber/lyft is required in winter and summer. Breakfast is long and plentiful.
Nice hotel in Georgetown. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants and the metro wasn’t too far.
Eyricka is the best front desk person ever...I'll be staying here every time I come to DC
Great hotel and will be back
Neat hotel, but extra charges through Expedia booking were a bummer.
You asked, I answered
The things I could say nobody to transport luggage up to the room or down from the room, they said nobody was available and I'm handicapped and the continental. All you can eat buffet breakfast. Most all buffet breakfast is switch to Turkey sausage, which I prefer regular pork sausage and all the food was cold except the omelets and that was greasy. I don't know if they're even using real. Eggs I did not see them. Crack the eggs They had it in a liquid form that could have been poured out of a container. Don't know if the scrambled eggs on the buffet were powdered or liquid or fresh. Didn't taste so well. And we're cold as well as the hot cakes. A good thing to have would be at a waffle maker, like some cheap hotels and make them fresh yourself. Had a little bit more complications with check. In in Canada, the week, 4 for New Year's Eve add Niagara Falls. I wasn't happy about that, but other than that, the rooms were very nice
I would give it a 5 star... The only issue was the cost for parking. I had to get a parking via spot hero for half the price one block away.
The check in process was horrible, and the staff who checked me in she did not know nothing and the fire drill went off from kids playing but the whole hotel was kids it was not way the hotel Did not know it was a party it was to many kids
Staff was friendly! Property is nice and spacious.
Stayed 7 nights to see the DC Area. Staff and policies super inconsistent, one day we needed to enter thru the side door with the use of room key without signage or staff direction, staff could see us but did not interact, just let us stand in the cold watching us try to figure out the unmarked key card reader was what we needed to use to gain access, next day we must enter thru main revolving door. Breakfast and evening welcoming super inconsistent, no signage or staff directing anyone. Unnecessary lines caused by poor staff leadership and management. They lost the lobby tv remotes and unable to display nfl games on any of the tvs despite close to 100 guest buying food and drink, wanting to watch end of season games also unavailable in room. Woke up early by housekeeping wanting to turn down the rooms hours before checkout time, even on the days we were not checking out, no do not disturb door signs available. Rooms were very clean and pleasant. Things they don’t tell you in advance, obnoxiously high parking cost ( like stadium prices) to park on site. several times more expensive than nearby options. So factor that in your budget or plan to park a few blocks away. They consider themselves a “destination” and charge an additional destination fee that’s also obnoxiously expensive and not disclosed in advance. None of the amenities were worth using let alone coming here for. The pool is very small and the hot tub was shallow and gross with skin and oils caked on.
We will be back!
Beautiful! Great breakfast! Friendly staff! Clean! Great place to stay
Their breakfast buffet is EXCELLENT.
Front desk staff were helpful.
Great service and amazing amenities.
View
Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is above average, especially omelets. Happy hour crowd made it difficult to dine until after 7 PM.
Our stay was wonderful! **Close walking to the bus or train station. **Decorated nicely **The restaurant at the hotel has happy hour each evening with complimentary snacks and beverages (including alcoholic drinks) **Breakfast is fresh and delicious each morning **$25.00 food voucher provided to use at the hotel restaurant - Chicken Quesadillas were so good!! **Room was prepared and clean- plenty of towels and bed was comfy. Very spacious **Everyone that works there is kind and attentive
Enjoyed the stay and location. Would rebook again!
The staff was outstanding. Kevin, the Doorman, helped us several times finding quicker and often less expensive rides to monuments and museums. The room attendents did a great job and kept the room clean. The kitchen staff did wonders from removing dirty dishes to making omelets (loved to watch the cook flip them eggs) to replentishing the food bars. All was very well done.
Excellent location. A lot of places to visit and eat around. Rooms clean and news. You need to improve the dinner restaurant quality. Food unflavored. Good breakfast. You need to clean the restaurant floor in a better way. In general a good hotel to stay if you want to be near DC area but far from the traffic.
Aside from smelly bathroom in our room (smells like someone smoke cigarette in there), everything was great. Breakfast was excellent and room was clean and spacious for us.
Big room, clean. Heating not strong and water not always hot. Nice pool and hot tub but too many people. $25 resort charge per day a little excessive since the pool facilities are always full. Nice and pleasant stay overall, great location. Not all members of the staff are nice but they are all polite enough. We would come back.
The entire staff attentive to the guest, Pleasant, nice, very informative with areas to visit. I loved the breakfast choices. Room was very spacious and comfortable.
Property was well kept, enjoyed our weekend stay.
Reserved King bed but was told only two queens available. We previously stayed at the suites on the 9th floor The District. Got one more night at Embassy on the 3rd floor. That suite was not renovated and more rundown.
10/10
I liked everything about the property the rooms were very nice the beds were very comfortable. The only thing that I would look at maybe adjusting as the closet where the hangers where you hang your suits and dresses are too low and there's too much shelf space, and the ironing board doesn't even fit in the closet. Other than that to stay was very satisfactory. And I would definitely be staying here again when I come back to DC.
Great hotel
Nice hotel. Very modern and clean. Not so great check-in - wait time was long. Exceptional breakfast buffet, including an omelet station.
Embassy Suites is easy in and out, comfortable bed, quiet (I asked for a quiet room and the front desk delivered!). In a great area of NW DC between Foggy Bottom and Georgetown. It's a huge facility with rooms facing both inside the facility and outside (Window facing out from the bedroom of the King suite. Didn't eat there but snacks and water were readily available. Nothing fancy but good value. If you want small, quaint and high end, this isn't it but does the job for the basics. I felt very safe!
Excellent!
The hotel and staff were excellent. I enjoyed everything. My only complaint is there were only 2 elevators working so coming and going got a little complicated in the morning during breakfast.
Our first time here the room is spacious and comfortable!
We had a wonderful stay!
Very poor hotel
Very dirty hotel. The bathroom doors had back hair stuck to it. Uncomfortable beds. Woke up both nights with back pain. Stayed for 2 night and was very disappointed with the hilton honors. They charge 25 dollars fee a night that is a credit to use at the hotel and if nkt used if lost. I felt it was fraud as you are forcing me to buy something that I don't want to buy. Plus when we wanted coffee there was none available. We picked this hotel because it was rated well however would not recommend staying here. Moreover, the parking at hotel was 60 dollars a night. Total rip off.
All very beautiful
Staff
Second time staying, included breakfast is above average and staff is awesome. Hotel has ample space for guests to sit around in the lobby/restaurant/bar area, very relaxing. Room for a family of 5 was big and clean. Evening reception drinks also great. Will stay again when coming to DC.
Great stay for families
We had a great stay with our 3 kids. We love that they can go to sleep and we can stay up later in the living area. The breakfast is always the best part as well!
Friendly staff
Weekend in DC
The place is beautiful. Friendly staff. Had a couple of minor issues that were taken care of immediately (tv didn’t work and toilet wouldn’t flush). Didn’t like the $25 daily fee added, even if they did give you credit at the restaurant. Just a gimmick I didn’t appreciate. Liked the happy hour with snacks and free drinks. Pool and hot tub were super nice and clean. Overall a good stay.
The hot tub is very small. Breakfast is very busy and we couldn’t find a table to sit at each morning. Very limited weight lifting equipment in gym. It’s mainly cardio equipment
All Good
Property seemed nice but I had a terrible time with the room I was staying in. The heating wasn’t working and I literally spent hours talking to the staff to get it resolved - finally around 11:00 PM they said I had to move rooms.
Everything was great and the free breakfast was good.
great stay
we loved the clean room and the comfortable space surrounding the room. Breakfast was amazing and I loved the amenities. The front desk was cordial and helpful. The only person ho was not nice was the lady at the pool. She id don't want us to take the towels with us to the room. She did not smile at all.
Prime location with exceptional service!!
Everything You Need
Great Hotel. Breakfast was awesome and location is great
Birthday trip
Was a nice hotel, plenty helpful staff. Happy hour was a treat! The pool was very nice. Close to everything we wanted to do!
People in the room next to mine screaming and banging called front desk and nothing was done.
Very nice hotel suite. We really enjoyed most everything. The staff were very friendly from Kevin the bento to the waitresses at the bar and restaurant. I have to say the TV options were not optimal. It would be nice to have some on demand along with some regular TV like dish or local cable.
