No compensation for NO POOL
Came up for spring break, chose your hotel over others even though it was more expensive, the pool was closed, its the ONLY reason we stay at hotels, there was no compensation or reimbursement, even when I asked if they could discount the pet fee for our datchaund for the HUGE inconvenience the answer was no, the people on the floor above us were loud all night and the floors were like paper. Worse spring break stay ever
Felt very safe an clean here
There was a mouse in the dinning room
I specifically search for and book hotels with pools b/c Itravel with my children. When we checked in, they told us the pool had been closed since September (5 months!) so we spent extra money to use a hotel pool but didn't get to use one.
This is a lovely hotel centrally located in Anchorage with easy access to shopping and dining. The room was a great size and clean. We love the amazing breakfast and the staff was very kind. Only downfall was the pool Was under construction and we were not notified. It was a disappointment when we checked in.
Breakfast order made wrong. No bowls for cereal or oatmeal. No brown sugar for oatmeal. Biscuits were hard.
The room smelled weird. There were stains on the wall. The bathroom sink sprayed water out. I only stayed one night so it wasn’t worth the complaint. The police were called for a homeless person in the lobby. The place is going down hill and cost really isn’t worthwhile anymore.
Very nice. Good bed. Clean
Twice I reported the secure lock was broken. Unfortunately the room didn't get cleaned once and we had to switch out the towels, garbage and get toilet paper. The service didn't come until late afternoon for two days, when we needed to be in the room. I love staying at this hotel, this is hopefully some valuable input for you. Thank you.
Great experience. Only disappointment was NOT having a pool. When I book online it doesn’t say it’s out of service. My kids live to swim. Luckily they offered their sister hotel Home 2 as a substitute. Next time I’ll just go through them and it’s cheaper. Excellent overall.
great breakfast
The staff was friendly and the breakfast was the best that we've eaten in all the hotels we have stayed in so far. The bed was comfortable.
Great staff!! Clean rooms!
Front desk staff friendly. Chose a good room for us based off our needs. Will stay here again.
Best Place Rver
This hotel has become our choice place to stay in ANC. The staff (all of them) are conscientious, helpful and understanding as well. The breakfast is first rate. Great place to stay!
Nice and quiet
Very nice clean facility. Employees were well mannered and very helpful
Room was comfortable for us but hide-bed for kids was very uncomfortable and not enough blankets. Also bathroom was setup for someone in wheelchair- which I’m not. Shower head is only about 4’ high and I’m 6’3”. No shampoo in dispensers. Good breakfast
We booked this hotel specifically for use of the pool. When we booked, there was absolutely no indication that the pool was closed for maintenance. I even called a day before checking in and talked to the front desk clerk and she did not mention the pool was out of order. My kids and I were extremely disappointed.
Pool was out of order and was not listed when we booked. Was able to use another Hilton pool, but disappointed it wasn’t available on site
Very disappointed to learn pool and hot tub were closed due to maintenance, these hotel options being the main reason we chose Embassy Suites Anchorage. Desk clerk was extremely gracious. She said an orange banner notified guests of pool closure on the Embassy website; however, guests rarely book through a hotel website anymore. Embassy needs to come up with a better way to notify paying guests of pool being unavailable. After driving 6 hours from Fairbanks and counting on soaking in a hot tub, we almost cried to learn that hot tubbing was not an option.
Stores close within walking distance but in winter parking lot needs bit more maintenance. One of reasons picking Embassy is because of pool and hot tub which we found were both closed for maintenance, that information should be given when booking so as to allow finding different place to stay.
I believe it is the best hotel room in Anchorage and I’ve stayed at all of the top hotels in ANC.
The staff especially the restaurant staff was wonderful. It was through Thanksgiving while we were there at the time my husband was put in the hospital. We live in Fairbanks so being away for the holidays is very hard but Embassy suites made it so much better Thank you
Best hotel stays in Anchorage in 23 years. Quite, big rooms, separate seating area. Hot showers. Safe. Great madeto order breakfast. In the middle of Midtown. Cant say enough good things. Totally worth the $$.
Excellent breakfast
Nice hotel, very clean and they had cribs for my baby
I didn’t like being on the first floor it was too cold with 2 little ones
I have stayed at this property several times. This time, had kids, staying for the pool. Only to find out it was closed. Expedia needs to stay updated. Jus were pretty disappointed!
Bottom floor hallway smelled of weed, large dog barking in the middle of (1 or 2) nights, glass at side door to the parking lot smashed, closed. Pool closed for closed for maintenance. Food in the restaurant is very good, complimentary happy hour at the bar was nice.
Nice hotel; pool out of order
It was very clean and stay was nice. Bed was HARD but sleepable. Pool has been out of order since September. Had I known that I would have booked elsewhere.
Close to everything we need to do in town.
Thanksgiving nightmare
Upon arrival we were told dinner would be available until 8pm. At 4:30 we were told the restaurant was no longer open. The pool and hot tub were closed. This hotel has seen better days. The first room we were given was very worn. The door at the end of the hall was smashed. The couch had holes in it. A dog barked and barked until we finally asked for another room. Second room was better.
Dont go for the pool
Pool has been out of comish for two months apparently. Loud hvac noise above room. Bummer!
Gre At place to stay.Food wonderful.Nice and clean
Really enjoyed the amenities. Would like to see the Alaska Rate at this hotel again.
Great Breakfast!!
Cheap as hell and very rude
Service was rude as hell the pillows for the king size bed were tiny ass couch pillows and breakfast was gross omg for the price. It was not that good I had nicer service else where there pool apparently has been shut down since July they tried to act like it’s all over all there third party sites but it is not
great location and parking
Good
I ran into a number of issues with my accommodations. The heat didn't work during the two nights that i was there, despite a maintenance man coming up to "fix" it. The cold water in the bathroom sink didnt work - as in didn't even turn on. The coffeemaker was disgusting. The staff was pleasant and accomodating, but the issues make staying there again, untenable.
Always great!
We always have a great stay at the Embassy!
Staff was lovely!!
We enjoy our stay every time we are there
Enjoyed our stay 😊
Clean, convenient
Clean and pretty hotel but in a weird location. Felt safe inside the hotel but not outside. Breakfast had a great variety but was ridiculously slow. Expensive for the area it is in.
There was no way to turn up the heat. We called the front desk and they said they would send security to check it out, but they never showed up. Everything else was excellent. Nice spacious suite.
Broken pool = broken hearts.
We chose this particular hotel because it had a pool. Hotels.com did not show that the pool was under construction, yet their website did. It was unfortunate because both our girls really wanted to swim and we even stopped off before checking in once we arrived in town, just to purchase new bathing suits. Everything else about the hotel was amazing.
Accommodating. Very friendly and quick service
The king suite was perfect for us. It allowed us to use the kitchen for warming leftovers and chilling drinks. A tv in each room made it possible to watch our own shows at the end of the day. The bed and hide-a-bed were both comfortable. Shower pressure was great and pump shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were complimentary. Although the pool was under maintenance, we were pleased to enjoy free snacks and two drinks at the manager’s reception daily.
Will stay here again, but update!
Love the home feeling here. Do see a lot of wear and tear in the bathroom. Paint, clean caulk, trim needs updating. The toilets are short. Kitchen area needs updating chairs. And why do a kitchen with no supplies? No soap or dishes or towels. This room holds a family but you don’t give anything of use for the kitchen- no spoons for coffee, or even decent coffee. Everything looked clean, smelled nice. Comfortable beds.
Bed was very hard. Shower was very good
They always take care of me, and my family. Only place that is comfortable to me.
Wonderful
Staff was not the nicest. We were repeatably only given 2 towels for our family of 5.
Can’t beat an Embassy Suites. Centrally located for what we did each day. Breakfast and the Happy Hour are such a great perk of staying at an Embassy Suites.
Pool and kitchen needs upgrades. Room cleaning needs attention. It’s expensive, there are better hotels nearby below or at price.
Good Pet Friendly Hotel
We really loved staying here. They were pet friendly, but I wish they had a neater area for pets outside to use. They had one small area for pets to do their business, but it was very small and totally overgrown with weeds. And the pet waste trash can was always full. All the amenities for humans were excellent. We loved the breakfast, happy hour, bar, and restaurant.
Terrible service
Ok
The person at the front desk had the worst possible attitude.
No room cleaning. Front desk said you have to request specifically for room service when we asked. No mentioning of this at check-in. Pool closed for construction. Paid premium price for pandemic-era experience.
Great resort except pool closed
If you’re considering staying at this property make sure that you request turndown service as it’s not a standard. It’s only done on a request basis. We were never informed of this until the second night when I had to request towels and toilet paper. There were no signs posted anywhere indicating this practice. Secondly, prior to booking I visited the hotels site directly to view their amenities and benefits. No where on the site was it indicated that the pool was under construction and not usable. It was a hard shock to find out the day of checking in with children. Obviously a pool with kids is a must. It was very disappointing to find this out last min. I would gladly booked elsewhere and paid more for this benefit. Hard lesson, I guess always call the hotel prior to booking.
Roomy
The property was very nice and the staff was great. Absolutely love the beds! The best buffet breakfast of any hotel I have ever stayed. We would definitely recommend this property!
Was not told that there was not daily maid service. Came back to no towels. It was resolved quickly. All staff were fantastic except one front desk person. She does not present herself well.
Embassy suites was a lovely hotel near grocery stores and other hotels. Felt it was in a good area. Great view of the mountains. Evening reception with drinks and light snacks. Full breakfast was great. Staff was pleasant. Bed was not comfortable but everything was clean and working. Pool was closed for renovations unfortunately.
Nice clean hotel with a full breakfast and decent restaurant and bar. Rooms are large and spacious and clean. Hotel has a great presence and is adorned with full animal mounts that represent Alaska. The hotel is starting to look a bit dated but will serve both business customers as well as families and tourists. Like a lot of Anchorage the area has its share of sketchy characters and street people but not as many as downtown location. There is shopping and restaurants nearby but you may want to rent a car if you are staying more than a day as there isn’t much to see close by. Some of the staff were awesome and friendly. I would stay here again.
Property was great however I had to ask 2 sister times and wait for 2 days to get more towels, washcloths, have the conditioner
The stay was great as always.
Great locations, walkable to different restaurants
Disappointed that there was no housekeeping
I have family in Anchorage and stay frequently at this hotel. Enjoy the pool, fitness, breakfast and drinks. However housekeeping never came to the room and I stayed 5 nights. Covid was over years ago - stop using it as an excuse. Housekeeping should come daily for the price of this hotel.
Over all excellent and very relaxing, but the house keeping always asking if what time we will check out every time we us at the hall way the day before checking out..
Nice and friendly!
Comfortable beds. Easy parking. Nice lounge and breakfast area.
Loved the breakfast
Always great to stay for a weekend with kids
Nice property
I have stayed at Embassy Suites twice now over the past three years when I come down to Anchorage to shop. The staff have always been very friendly and very helpful, the rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast is amazing!! Always tasty and so many options over the many days we are staying there is great. This is right next to the midtown mall and REI so it’s great for shopping
Free drinks, although I don't drink. Omelette station.
I love the rooms and the breakfast!
Room was pretty dirty, hotel is definitely showing its age and rooms need updating.
Like that they were very good about moving us when their was a leak in the ceiling
It is a great help to load the breakfast and the cocktail hour. Snow should have been removed from the parking lot not enough room for parking
The pool area was a total shot show. My child felt unsafe. There were so many people not following the rules and making it a dangerous place. Management was told and nothing was done about it.
Delicious breakfast, beautiful lobby, staff was good but getting towels took for ever, room was good but had scuffs, dirty bath tub area. Showers in spa area were cold and didnt have high pressure. Parking was tight.
Comfortable stay in a central location
Pool was very noisy at night with a ton of people but went back in the morning and was nice and quiet.
Great place to stay!
We are Hilton Honors members - many years. I felt we were given substandard consideration because we booked through a 3rd party. Ground floor - furthest room from the lobby, cold room. We are Alaskans, so when I say cold - it was! Scheduled for 6 nights with NO housekeeping services. When I requested service, what we received was the bed straightened and the garbage removed, one clean towel and no clean cups/glasses, coffee or toiletries. This is NOT the service we are accustomed to receiving at a Hilton! My husband is almost 85 y/o and the “hike” to the lobby and the front door was ridiculous! The entry way by our door was too dangerous to use because of ice and snow. Bright spots - the breakfast was great, as usual, and “Windy” at the lounge was awesome, as was Iris, at reception. I would have thought for a price of over $2,000 - you could do better. And, we are tired of hearing that you have cut back on services because of COVID!!!!
The room is very nice! The pillows are ridiculous! Flat and uncomfortable!
Convenience for shopping
No transportation from and to the airport
Staff is very helpful, Good hotel facility Near the shopping mall, restaurant…
Always a nice stay.
I wish that turn down service didn’t have to be requested over a multi-night stay, and the hot tub was down for a good portion of our stay. The breakfast also didn’t meet the standard it has on previous stays, which was disappointing when it’s usually a highlight during our visits with three kids.
Our first stay at this hotel was so excellent. So the minor faults on this one are in comparison to the first stay. The hot tub was out of order. And our server at the restaurant was not great. The bartender had to come over and fix our drink order personally. Breakfast buffet was really picked over. It was still excellent but compared to our first stay it was a little disappointing, especially at the price point.
Excellent service, excellent amenities. Would love to stay here again. Well worth the visit.
I loved staying here. The rooms were comfy. Most employees were courteous. When checked in they forgot to tell us when the free drinks expired, had we known we would have grabbed deinks prior to going to the pool. The hot tub jets didn't really work which was a let down. The breakfast was our favorite part of our stay. It was amazing and loved the cooks.
Great place to stay. We love the breakfast and evening reception. Easy parking. Nice rooms and little gym.
Great location

No airport shuttle. Short staffed desk
Hotel advertises on hotels.com that there is a airport shuttle. Staff advises that the shuttle was discontinued in 2020... 5 years ago. That equates to $50 of unexpected uber / cab charges if you have a large group and many bags. Staff not at desk for check in. Had to wait for someone. Staff doesn't pick up calls to front desk. Have to call several times for things like bedding, conditioner is out in the shower.
