Basic hotel. Very clean. Great location near the Metro to easily get to the Acropolis or Piraeus. Recommend walking in the evening to the Astiggos area - great bars and restaurants and only a 10 minute walk

I checked out after the first day.!!! And they kept my money for the night s I wasn’t there! Aweful! No shower looked like a hostel

I think some people might rate this place lower than I did. But as a solo male traveler, I don't need much. This place served my minimal needs. Some things worth noting that I did not know ahead of time: This hotel is in a somewhat run down part of town. Lots of graffiti, beggars and metal bars on shops. I asked the front desk attendant about my boundary conditions and he said after dark, on the nonmajor side streets maybe it is not so safe but during the day, main streets it is fine. I never had any trouble, but I followed his advice. It is a very short walk to the metro subway station at the Omonia square so very convenient. However, outside of the square, there are very few restaurant or bar type resources. But, only a couple of metro stops to Syntagma square where there are many options and a connection to the airport and one more stop to Acropolis station where the Acopolis, Agora, the Agora Museum, Acopolis Museum and National Archaeological Museums are.

The Elite Hotel Athens is an excellent choice if you want to stay away from the tourist areas of Athens. It is in Psiri and Omonia Square is several blocks away. This is where workaday Athenians are mostly seen and heard along with a bit of what you’d see deeper into the Omonia area. There are lots of cafes, small restaurants, shops, & pharmacies. The Elite is situated within 20-30 minutes walking distance of the main attractions in any direction, but Omonia metro is the closest station and is the main transfer hub for the entire metro. The hotel’s facilities are adequate. There’s nothing fancy. But you’ll receive daily housekeeping if you want it, and there’s a breakfast option you can pre-purchase. They are extremely accommodating and will even prepare a small plate of food for you earlier if you need to eat before the breakfast is available. The only thing to note is it isn’t a restaurant, and the breakfast is only for guests who have pre-purchased the option, the offering is limited to just a few items. The guys at the front desk are incredibly kind and they can answer any question you might have. The elevator is small and typical of this era of building, fitting 2 persons at a time. The stairs are steep but make for a good workout! I do recommend a white noise app on your phone, the sounds from the street outside can be noticeable and the noises echo through the hotel sometimes too, which is expected on a busy street.

I enjoyed my stay here very much, this was my second time to stay at the Elite I stayed for 5 days, it suited my needs perfectly as it is at a very central location, and close to the Metro, the local area has improved a lot in recent years. It is clean and the staff are very helpful, however be aware it is a older building, the lift is a piece of mechanical history worthy of any museum. I plan to stay here again on my next visit to Athens. Philip B.

We had a really horrible experience, would not recommend. Mould, loose light fittings, air con full of cigarette smoke, road to noisy to open the door.

Very noisy and basic, but good location

Do not expect comfort

The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly. But the overall condition of the rooms is unpleasing and the building would benefit from a renovation. The doors in my room did not close properly, doorhandles were missing, the sockets were loose, etc. . Also, my "shower" consisted of a hose mounted next to the toilet and a drain in the floor, so the whole bathroom got wet while showering. The hotel is also loud at night. The time you fall asleep is determined by the end of your neighbor's film or Youtube-video. I didn't expect to get luxury for the amount I paid, but I hoped to get more than just a room and a bed. I would just come back for one night.

Perfect location and price

We picked this hotel for its location to several landmarks as well as the proximity to the metro as we had 2 days after our cruise in Athens. We were able to walk to Acropolis/Parthenon and Ancient Agora (recommend this), Plaka on one day and the other we walked to the Monument of the unknown soldier (watch the changing of the guards!), Anafiotika, and Panthenaic stadium. The hotel was simple but the staff allowed us to check in 2 hours early and were friendly. It was a tight space for the 5 of us but all we did was sleep there. Lots of extra bedding and towels. Old but clean. We faced a busy street so heard a lot of motor cycles at night but for the cost and locality was a small price to pay. If you stay there are 2 great places within walking-first Delicious Souvlaki (across the street 5 min walk great lunch) and Migada which had an amazing Spanish/Indian meets Greece selection.

We were stuck and had no place to go. Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend unless you have no choice. I can't say a single good thing about it.

On a budget?

Very simple hotel. I mean, BARE. 0 amenities. With that being said, very clean, very friendly services, and exactly what you'll need if budget is top of mind.

Godt, billigt hotel til et kort ophold

Vi bookede et værelse på forhånd, da vi egentlig bare skulle tilbringe en halv dag i Athen, og have et sted at overnatte og have vores baggage. Kort efter vi havde checket ind, begyndte en stor tordenstorm og skybrud, og kort efter var der strømafbrydelse på vores etage. Vi sagde det til receptionisten, som ville fixe det mens vi var ude at spise. Da vi kom tilbage var strømmen fixet. Men så fandt vi ud af at det eksterne badeværelses toilets vand løb, og man ikke kunne skylle det ud. Vi sagde det til receptionisten, som ville fixe det mens vi gik ud igen. Da vi kom tilbage, sagde den nye receptionist at vi havde fået opgraderet vores værelse, nu med eget toilet der virkede. Vi kvitterede med at give drikkepenge med de beskedne sidste 5€ vi havde i kontanter. Receptionisten ville ikke tage imod først, men vi insisterede. Da vi spurgte om der var et sted tæt på hvor man kunne købe vand, gav receptionisten os to flasker vand, samt to kolde dåseøl på sin egen regning. Personalet var super flinke og hjælpsomme da der opstod problemer. Værelserne var udemærket til prisen, lagener og håndklæder var rene, og der var shampoo og sæbe. Helt udemærket sted til prisen ved et kort visit.

Petit hôtel simple très bien situé. Prix très abordables et qualité très satisfaisante. Personnel très sympathique et à l’écoute. Pour un séjour où l’on utilise sa chambre d’hôtel uniquement pour dormir quelques heures avant de repartir à l’aventure dans Athènes, c’est le choix parfait !

Vain toisessa huoneista oli ilmastointi. Kylpyhuoneen lavuaari oli likainen ja osittain rikki. Huoneessa juoksenteli torakan näköinen ötökkä. Yhdestä sängyistä hajosi osittain pohja. Meidät ryöstettiin hotellin edessä, mutta respan työntekijä ei auttanut mitenkään vaan käski lopettaa itkemisen ja käyttäytymymään hotellin aulassa. Viimeisenä aamuna respaan oli tullut uusi ihminen, joka oli auttavainen ja ystävällinen. Hänen takiaan annamme yhden pisteen.

L'hôtel était bien placé pour les visites, mais la chambre était côté rue, donc très très bruyante. Salle de bain propre mais vétuste. Très bon accueil du personnel en général.

das Hotel ist zum schlafen gut geeignet das Bett war bequem, das Personal sehr freundlich das Zimmer sauber ein Manko des Hotels, besonders das Bad ist wirklich renovierungsbedürftig wer allerdings ein kostengünstiges Hotel bevorzugt und nur Abend's zum schlafen im Hotel ist und ansonsten den gesamten Tag außerhalb des Hotels verbringt, ist hier richtig. ein weiteres Manko ist die Umgebung leider viele Obdachlose, Bettler, Drogensüchtige und Prostituierte aber trotz dieser Umstände gibt es in der nähren fußläufigen Umgebung des Hotels etliche Geschäfte, Supermärkte, Restaurants, Imbisse, Bars, Cafés die Auswahl ist wirklich groß!

Rommet var lite og trengte oppussing, aircondition bråkte og selv om heldigvis hadde rom mot bakgård var det generelt mye støy i løpet av natten. Betjeningen i resepsjonen var topp.

Todo muy viejo y es demasiado caro para lo que ofrece. Lo bueno es que la recepción es 24 horas.

Voor een goedkoop hotel, waar je toch alleen slaapt is Elite OK. Er was warm water en de kamer en badkamer waren schoon, de handdoeken en het beddengoed werden dagelijks ververst. Er was een ijskast op de kamer, geen tv. De stopcontacten gaven alleen stroom als alle kamerlichten aan waren. Er was eerst alleen zeep, geen shampoo; dat heb ik via een Expedia-enquête gemeld en toen was er shampoo. Ontbeten heb ik er nooit, de ontbijtruimte was erg klein en er was eigenlijk niets te krijgen behalve sinaasappelsap. Mijn kamerraam keek uit op een muur met in een nis een duivennest. Bijna had ik een duif binnen, dus her raam kon niet echt open staan. De airco blies warme lucht de kamer in, maar dat was met de afstandsbediening niet te regelen. Het pand was nogal gehorig. De klink van de kamerdeur zat los. Soms werkte de lift niet. Het personeel was aardig, vriendelijk. De wifi was goed, ik kon zelfs aan een Zoom-meeting deelnemen zonder problemen. Het was OK voor een keer, maar ik had, ondanks de lage prijs, toch ietsje meer comfort verwacht.

Hyggelig betjening

Anbefales ikke for barnefamilier grunnet biltrafikken i Athen, men ellers helt fint for overnatting til en rimelig penge. Kjøleskap og Aircondition :)

Cuartos con servicios de baño muy estrechos e incomodos, cuando toca el baño hay que hacerlo como en una capsula si hace un movimiento fuera de lo nornal, queda todo el cuarto mojado, mucho precio por tan poco, lo unico que se rescata es su ubicacion, el ascensor al publico es un ascensor para transportar viveres no personas

El baño de la habitacion no tenia cerraduras, el aparato del aire acondicionado estaba colocado en una habitacion contigua en donde estaba las camas La puerta que da al balcon no cerraba.

It’s what you’d expect for the price. The rooms are certainly not for hanging out, they’re for sleeping. Beds are surprisingly comfortable, but don’t expect any aesthetics, it’s completely bare. The shower was broken and had water coming out the other side. But hey, it’s a really cheap room in the center of Athens, you can get anywhere quickly by walking or metro, and it has a fridge and AC (though the AC is so loud you’d rather not have it running). Overall don’t regret booking it! Towels were changed every day and the reception was friendly. Be aware that you’ll have to pay ~0.5€ per night tourist tax.
