I liked the fact that there’s so many different types of sun loungers, on the beach, on the decking overlooking the beach or around the pool or on the pool, bean bags and cabanas. The food is excellent and drinks are typical all inclusive but staff are so friendly and helpful, they just seem to enjoy making your holiday special. We even had a birthday cake and champagne left in our room, such a lovely gesture.

Amazing hotel, great cocktails, staff very friendly, only downside was the housekeeping wasn’t great

We loved staying at this hotel, everything was perfect, there is nothing to fault. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, beds are comfortable, delicious food, staff are lovely and the location is great. I would recommend to anyone!

Great 4 night stay (again)

2nd time we’ve been to the hotel. Still a great hotel. Food great and very clean. Rooms are modern and the hotel staff are friendly. Cocktails not as nice as last time but still some great options. Shame Billy isn’t at the island bar now but was nice to see some familiar staff.

Nice hotel but not 5*

Overall this hotel was great for a short stay. The food and drink was incredible and there was plenty of variety. The hotel itself was very modern and clean and the pool area was really lovely especially if you manage to get one of the pool beds. Something this hotel is lacking though is entertainment, they hardly played any music by the pool during the daytime, or maybe they did but we couldn't really hear it; And at night the entertainment was very mellow. Although this would be perfect for some people, we did become bored as a younger group of females.

Thoroughly enjoyed a week's visit in October. Hotel is beautiful throughout, very modern design and meticulously clean. The staff are fantastic and friendly. The pool area is one of the best I've ever visited. Huge, spectacular pool area with a brilliant pool bar in the middle. Highly recommended.

The proximity to the beach was an extra bonus abundance of meals breakfast, lunch and dinner made it a remarkable Holiday for myself and the family

This resort was stunning and provided a relaxing and fun atmosphere for a much needed holiday in the sun. The staff were excellent and the restaurants were wonderful. Don’t go without trying the melon baller!

Limited restaurants

We loved our stay and are thinking of making it an annual trip. Loved the way drinks are served in hard plastic glasses around the pool. Buffet food was always interesting and tasteful. The Greek restaurant was a special experience. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Only downside is the noise from the aircraft landing, but we got used to it.

The reception are helpful, the cleaners lovely, the pool’s amazing, the bars, the buffet restaurant and the coffee shop are great, the shuttle bus to town is a bonus and so convenient! The Greek and Italian restaurants aren’t the best, I would skip them to be honest, the Greek was not Greek I got candy floss for a starter? And a Drink with a candy cane? you only choose your mains and the rest is decided already. The Italian dinner was awful, the wait very long, not a lot of choice. The lunch was a bit better but I wouldn’t go there again. The location is a bit out of the way but again the shuttle can be booked so easy to get to town apart from that it’s only 15/20 minutes drive from the airport, the beach is beautiful, beds on the beach are always available! Entertainment is mixed, go to the rock and roll on the Wednesday, it’s the best one. They love doing it and it clearly shows. All in all an amazing trip!

Hotel was lovely, staff friendly, location was good, although beach was pebbles. Food was varied and good. Only real disappointment was the entertainment, which was lacking. Would be good idea to have an information pack in the rooms.

Beach was gorgeous. Hotel was ok. Dining options were very limited and food taste wasn’t that good. Reception and housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful but other staff (dining, bartenders, etc) wasn’t passionate about their jobs. We asked for bottled water and one of the bartenders. Overall we liked our experience but service and food wasn’t even comparable with resorts in Mexico, Turkey, and Caribbean islands.

Read lots of reviews about this hotel so was worried it may not be as good as it seemed, but it was very good, agree with all reviews stating it’s a 4 star hotel not 5, it lacks that extra bit of luxury, but is excellent value, bufffet food was really enjoyable as well as all the bars, rooms were basic but we’re fine for what we needed, if you don’t like a firm mattress these are firm, I’m not a big fan of firm mattresses but surprisingly slept well on them. We were there last week of the season so everything was winding down, the beach bar closed which was dissapointing, surely there’s months to clean and tidy everything away for the season, but seemed to be done whilst customers are still around. Entertainments was ok but again, not much atmosphere due to end of season, and some of the staff where winding down as well I think as some weren’t too polite, but I can’t complain, all in all thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its amenities, small football pitch to have a kick around with the kids, played tennis everyday and is all included in the price. The pool is freshwater, so if it’s a big deal to have lots of play with the kids on holiday, then be warned it’s absolutely freezing, we made an effort to go in the pool everyday, but was a real effort, and took a while to warm the kids up afterwards.if you enjoy beaches then the beach is ok for sunbathing, for playing on the sea again, not great as the rocks are really painful on the feet, having said that it stop the kids.

Enjoyed my stay, but could have been better!

Well located beside the beach. Good food options. The only minuses I have discovered is a lack of signs by the buffet so it is very unclear what contains what protein and the mattresses are very hard. But plenty of pillows and throws to compensate a little. The buildings and rooms don’t really feel like 5 star facilities in my opinion. It was lacking that luxury feel.

Electra Palace

Good pool, bars, restaurants.

This is a beautiful hotel and spotlessly clean. Food in the 2 a la carte restaurants is of a high standard but can only be booked once per week. The canteen is disappointing and badly laid out so everyone has to join the same queue for the cooked meat and mains. Rooms are nice and I had a lovely view of the pool but bed was rock hard. Main bug bear for me is there is no table service at any of the bars so you have to queue for your drinks. I don’t particularly enjoy queuing especially whilst on holiday. (Elvis does try his best though). My friend usually drinks vodka and cranberry juice but was not allowed cranberry juice as apparently it is only for cocktails. Bizarre!!

Definitely yes

Beautiful hotel with very good service, friendly and efficient staff, despite being packed with people (3rd week of August). So dinner in the main restaurant could be quite loud, fortunately they have two much quieter restaurants, too. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and sound-proof, beds are comfortable. The hotel itself feels somewhat rural, but "life" - shops and restaurants - is just 5-10 minute walk away. As there's also a private sunbed area, you won't be bothered by people selling you all kinds of stuff. Overall we were very satisfied with the experience and would go back on first chance.

Great hotel, good price

The hotel is kinda old and the ac in the room wasn’t great. Coffee machine works only since 10:00 which is sucks. Otherwise everything was perfect, the staff is nice and the place is clean.

Great place to stay in Rhodes, very relaxing, even the few planes flying over didn't disturb us. Great to be right on the beach. We hired a car which made it easy to get around. A clean place with good service. A great team of people. Loved the indoor pool and the gym. Would definitely go back.

Ridiculous Rules

Friendly and helpful staff. The food was fresh and varied. Location wise only a 10 minute drive from airport and 25 minute to Rhodes town. The hotel is situated on the flight path but this didn't bother us at all we couldn't hear the planes from our room. One thing to note is that being on the Western side of the island it is very windy! Beach is pebbled so you will need to bring protective swimming shoes. Hotel is definitely not 5 stars and not luxurious by any means. The gym was terrible, totally outdated equipment that was basic and dysfunctional, also having the staff clean around you when training was not nice. Men having to trousers at dinner is a joke, management need to sort that out. When we asked for an iron and ironing board we were refused due to "health and safety reasons". My husband and I travel every month and we have never anywhere in the world have been refused an iron. We would not stay at this hotel again.

the hotel is excellent, the staff are very helpful. The only think you need to pay €6 for bus to go to the town. they should offer a shuffle bus for guess. we appreciated the art of Alex. the hotel has different activities for everyone.

Really nice, attentive staff and great food; however, we booked a superior double room and had 2 singles pushed together which wasn't particularly comfortable.

Amazing honeymoon

We stayed at Electra Palace second week of October. Weather was very nice so we spent lot of time at pool and the hotel beach. Pool is huge and very very clean, there is also entertainment at pool area. Hotel beach was also very clean and organized, had enough chairs and umbrellas. Also, had beach bar and very polite bartender Mr. Michalis. All employees were very nice, helpful and smiled all the time. Food was excellent, compliments for restaurant manager. Would stay again for sure!

Great holiday in a great choice of hotel

Beautiful Hotel with lovely setting beside a beach.Staff were very friendly and the buffet meals had a great range and variety.Pool area was very spacious and well kept and there was entertainment to enjoy in the evenings

Relaxing stay at beach front hotel

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel for a week in mid July, I could not recommend this hotel enough. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above our expectations to make our stay comfortable. We had a 3rd floor sea view room, initially we were on the 2nd floor which was over looking the roof but the second day we were lucky enough to be moved to a different room which was certainly worth the price for a sea view - the beach is absolutely beautiful!! The rooms were fresh and modern and also cleaned daily which was a pleasant surprise. The entertainment round the pool was good and had something for everyone, I found the small shop by the pool very handy for supplies as the closest shops were a bit of a walk away. We did however hire a car for 3 days through the desk at the hotel which was very handy and a lot cheaper than I had found online - was a great way to explore Rhodes! All restaurants were approximately a 15-20 minute walk away but was good to walk it off after a substantial meal. The buffets at the hotel I found to be a bit of a let down, I didn't think some of the food options were a good as they could have been. But all in all we had a lovely stay, the hotels private beach was a sure highlight along with the live musical entertainment by the bar. If I went back to Rhodes again, I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

Not a 5* Hotel

When booking a 5* hotel you expect the experience to be wholly pleasing. The staff at Electra Palace were particularly unhelpful and seemed to resent the fact that we were staying on an all inclusive basis. We also had to rely on other guests to tell us where an when we could eat during our stay, as the front desk did not provide us with this information. the quality of food also puts this hotel at well below a 5* establishment. There was sufficient food, but it was simply a mass produced, all you can eat buffet. We have stayed in hotels where the same was offered, but the quality was a vast improvement over what was experienced at Electra Palace.

3 star hotel with 5 star view

food- not many choices but ok quality, amenities- heated pool/jacuzzi would be nice, entertainment - host of latin night was horrible, rock and roll band pretty good, service- poor, couldn't book a la carte resto at reception, had to waste time and wait for main resto manager/host at certain time, payment for special request not all done at reception, chased for payment instead of normally settling bill at end of stay, everyone was pleasant but not well organized...no hair conditioner available

Perfect hotel for a family

Upgraded to executive suite with Sea View from Junior suite upon arrival. Cleanliness and facilities are fantastic. Staff are very friendly and cooperative. Spacious rooms. Restaurant staff are very cooperative. I would strongly recommend to double check with the restaurant staff about the contents of the food as the label does not detail.

Very impressive hotel

The hotel staff is terrible when it comes to accommodating guest. It's almost as if they forgot they were in the hospitality industry. When asking the front desk questions they made it seem as if I inconvenienced them. Totally wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Very clean hotel. Food variety excellent, shame we couldn't try the Chinese restaurant it was fully booked on both nights.

Nice hotel by the beach, more 4* than 5*

Had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the Electra with 2 young kids. Nice clean hotel with good facilities. However, lacks the *5 star comfort expected such as having to find your own table for meals. Also no waiter service except at the Italian restaurant. Haven't tried the Chinese so can comment on that. Overall, good value for money and would stay there again.

Nice hotel, very clean. On the (pebble) beach.

Spend two weeks in August 2015. Nice hotel very clean and well maintained. Food was very good and good variety. Almost every meal two-three seafood dishes included (including mussels and escargot).

Lovely hotel right on the beach

We had a lovely few days, everything about this hotel is good including the food and service and it is close enough to other shops and restaurants. Plane noise is annoying but did not spoil our holiday.

Nice hotel, unfortunately under the flight path

Nice hotel set about half way between airport and Rhodes town. Food OK, buffet style. Drink albeit all inclusive was a bit on the weak side. Only major drawback is that the hotel is directly under the landing approach for the airport, which goes on most of the day and night.

Unfortunatly one individual let it down

I had booked to stay at The Electra Palace hotel as part of my much needed relaxing holiday for one. Primarily booking here because the beach is a stone throw away, the gym facilities are adequate and good value of the all-inclusive offer incl. flights. Unfortunately my plane was delayed several hours due to bad weather resulting in arriving 3 hrs. later. I had by this point been on a plane for 8 hrs, 4 hrs flight, 4 hrs additionally due to the weather delays. Happy to arrive I was eager to see my sea-view room and start relaxing with a glass (or two) of wine on the balcony, arriving at 11:20pm means you are left to deal with the night porter who can't do anything other than hand you your room key. The hotel had booked me into a wall-view room. Any dialogue exchanged with the night porter was pointless, that my room was a sea-view room I just need to be taller or that he was "just the night porter" and advised I see main reception in the morning. Not wanting to kick start my relaxation holiday on the wrong foot I stayed in my wall-view room my first night with the view to visit main reception first thing. Again unfortunately I clearly didn't go to the right person because the incredibly rude woman at the main desk had no time to hear me out and pretty much told me to F-Off if she had had the vocabulary to do so. A good 25 minute conversation with Expedia saw her begrudgingly change my room to a sea-view room - hurrah. The rest of my stay was brilliant.

Great value

We stayed here to ease the pain of some awful return flights from Manchester and it was the best money we could have spent. Hotel is beautiful and only 5 minutes away from the airport. The all inclusive deal is great value. Plan to go back at some point.

Normal hotel near airport, not luxury.

Hotelrooms where clean, but not very silent, lot of noise cloud easyly hear from balcony or from corridors. Food was guite good and taesty, but often ended and the staff didn't notice that. At breakfast the cupps where not clean.There was lot of russian people at the hotel and they have their own way to behavior.

The SeaView upgrade could be a rip off.

Disappointed with the room and "so-called" sea view. Paid extra for a sea view room. The room actually faced north east, parallel to the coast. so if you step out on the balcony and turned to the left you could see the sea. From inside the room, the only view was of the hotel next door. When I questioned the front desk about the "upgrade" the reply was that the room was rated a Sea View room. There were plenty of rooms that did have a straight on view of the Aegean Sea. Not sure why they had to stretch the truth to include these sideways views as upgrades. PS, the buffet was not well maintained so if you don't get there early for B-L-D, you may / will be sorry.

Trevligt hotell

Vi hade bokat poolutsikt, men fick inte det, sa till direkt och fick byta dagen efter utan problem. Rummet rent och fint. Maten helt ok. Servicepersonal i restaurangen var snabba och trevliga. Bartendern vid ”Strandbaren” var duktig. Underhållningen på kvällstid var varierad, så den skulle passa alla. Kommer gärna tillbaka.

We had a fantastic stay at Electra Palace Rhodes! The buffet was delicious, and the Greek restaurant was perfect. We also appreciated the control of abusive occupation of lounges by the pool, which made us feel protected and ensured a fair experience for all guests. I encourage doing that on the beach as well. The team put in a great effort to make our vacation perfect, and we really appreciate and thank them for that. We were really happy with our experience and are excited to come back again next summer.

Familjesemester

Super mysigt hotell, stora och små har kost sig massor. Fint hotell, bra mat och god service med undantag av en dam på den italienska restaurangen som var sur mot allt och alla. Nästan inga norrmän eller svenskar. Det var det enda barnen saknade. Men en söt svensk tjej som jobbade på barnklubben.

Struttura ottima, cibo buono, bellissime piscine, personale gentilissimo, camere molto belle, spiaggia accessoriata, jacuzzi, cibo e bevande sempre a disposizione. Siamo stati una settimana in super relax. Unica pecca aria condizionata troppo alta e forse qualche iniziativa in più per gli adolescenti. Nel complesso comunque ottima struttura, super consigliata.

Fluglärm und Gym negativ

in Prinzip ein schönes Hotel - kleine aber moderne Zimmer - MiniBad ! und Dusche in der Badewanne wirklich sehr eng - das Gym ist ausgedünnt , und sollte, wenn man es Fitness nennt schnellstens renoviert werden - ist eine Schande es so verfallen zu lassen. Das Frühstück ist wie das Abendbuffet mit allem bestückt. Der Fluglärm ist sehr störend und ist 24h.

Excellent hotel

Our stay at Electra Palace was excellent, 5/5! I can truly recommend this beautiful hotel and might come again one day. We spent one week there and were first time in Rodos and we enjoyed every moment. Service was overall very friendly and prompt, and the staff was helpful. Special thanks to the bartenders at the pool bar for their professional and relaxed service! The cleaning of the room was also really good, nothing to complain. The pool area was really beautiful and it is a huge plus that the hotel has also private beach. There were enough sunbeds in both pool and beach area. One minor development suggestion would be to take better account of food allergies. For example my mum has celiac disease and it would have been easier for her if the food suitable for her would have been clearly marked in the restaurants. Anyway this wasn't a big deal as every time when she asked from chefs which food would be safe for her, the service was excellent and there were also plenty of options for her to eat. The chef even made special desserts just for her couple of times, which was really nice.

Einst von weg: ein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist es definitiv nicht. Es gibt andere Destinationen (zum Beispiel Süd-Türkei), wo bereits in 4-Sterne Hotels einiges mehr bietet. Positiv ist das freundliche Personal an den Bars und Reception. Hingegen im Speisesaal könnte man die Freundlichkeit noch ein bisschen verbessern. Sehr schöne Pool Landschaft, sehr grosszügig, aber das Wasser war eiskalt. Hotel befindet sich grad am Meer, allerdings Steinstrand (gemäss Unterlagen war es nicht klar beschrieben). Am Abend war sehr wenig los, vermutlich lag es am Ende der Saison. Unser Zimmer war relativ klein, auch das Badezimmer war nicht grosszügig und die tägliche Reinigung liess zu wünschen übrig (Gläser/Tassen, Löffel wurden nicht ausgewechselt). Grundsätzlich wurde nicht sauber gereinigt. Wir waren zu Dritt. Was ich von einem 5-Sterne-Hotel erwarte, ist ein richtiges Einzelbett für die 3. Person (16 Jahre) und nicht nur ein unbequemes Bettsofa. Speisen/Buffet: es gab es nicht sehr viel Auswahl (in Vergleich zu anderen Hotels), auch die Qualität war eher mittelmässig. Die bereits fix fertig zubereiteten Salate beim Mittagessen waren jedoch sehr lecker (gute Idee!). Das Essen in den Themen-Restaurants hingegen war sehr fein und auch der Service gut. Was positiv zu erwähnen ist, war die Möglichkeit, dass uns gegeben wurde, beim Auschecken noch ein Zimmer zu buchen (kostenlos), um uns noch vor der Rückreise (abends) frisch zu machen.

Familieferie

Super pænt hotel beliggende på stranden. Personalet er venligt, faciliteterne super gode og placeringen lige så. Dejlig mad og drikke - særligt kage udvalget er godt. Plads til forbedring: poolen må gerne varmes en smule. Det er lidt for kold en pool, hvor selv havet i oktober er en del varmere. Bedre kaffe og mere varieret buffet vil også være godt. Endelig kan jeg ikke anbefale airport-transfer, som er alt for overpriset. Hotellet opkrævede 32 euro per vej, og jeg kunne på taxa-meteret se, at det kun blev 13 euro per vej.

Wir waren als Paar für 5 Nächte Vorort und es war nahezu perfekt- 1-2 Nächte mehr wären schön gewesen. Besonders aufgefallen ist uns das zuvorkommende und besonders kolante Personal. Denn wir bekamen ein Room Upgrade, da keine Pool View im vorherigen gegeben war. Das Frühstück/Mittag war sehr ähnlich aber super lecker, das Abendessen variierte ein wenig. Die Eisdiele, das Snack Bistro und Weinbar waren ein Highlight. Auch das Italian, aber vor allem das Greek Restaurant waren eine besondere Erfahrung mit 5 Gängen und Weinverkostung. Die Pool Anlage ist sehr modern und stilvoll errichtet- die Barkeeper haben den ganzen Tag einen super Job gemacht und limitlos die leckersten Cocktails gezaubert. Die live Musik von 21-23 Uhr war auch sehr angenehm. Strandhandtücher konnte man mit Karten beliebig wechseln. Der hoteleigene Strandzugang mit Daybeds und Liegen war klein gehalten aber völlig ausreichend. Das Hotel verfügt ebenfalls über einen eigenen Shop und einen Spa Bereich. Da das Hotel in der Einflugschneise ist, fliegen regelmäßig sehr tief die Flugzeuge über das Hotel- der „Lärm“ hat uns persönlich aber überhaupt nicht gestört. Das Gym des Hotels ist hingegen leider nicht so gut und sehr spärlich ausgestattet, das wäre ausbaufähig. Die Sauberkeit des Hotelzimmers hätte in unserem 2x Zimmer etwas besser sein können. Leider gab es in den Zimmern keine Handtuchhaken, was ebenfalls zu wünschen wäre. Dennoch würden wir wiederkommen und es jedem Paar weiterempfehlen!

Et hotel med meget at byde på!

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold hotellet. Vi manglede intet - personalet var søde og hjælpsomme, omgivelsernes flotte og eksklusive, maden var god og varieret. Vores datter elskede isbaren og bageren, som man kunne tilgå det meste af dagen. Vi havde læst, at det var svært at få bord på de to øvrige restauranter der er på hotellet, som man må benytte sig af under sit ophold, men dette var ikke tilfældet for os - det gik nemt og uden problemer. Alt i alt en fantastisk ferie, som vi allerede drømmer om at genopleve igen :-)

The hotel itself was really in good condition. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Overall experience with small kids was relaxing and felt safe and taken care of all the time. The gym is really small, which could be a good investment for the hotel, but other than that, everything was really nice. I didn't mind the airplanes flying over, it was exciting for the kids. Maybe pool water (the sides) could be washed/changed more often.
