We had a great time staying at El Dorado Prati! The host, Andrea, was fantastic and was helpful during our stay. The location
Good communication with owner .
Andrea and Marco are so helpful whether you need info with sightseeing or stores or transport or room questions. Always in a very kind and professional way. I enjoyed talking to both.
I chose this property because it was about 2 miles from the Vatican and other reviews spoke very well up the safety of the neighborhood. Our host Andrea was very hospitable and helpful. We were able to get an early check-in. I appreciate the fact that Andrea reached out well in advance or our trip. Our rooms were very clean neat and tidy. Marco the Houseman is very pleasant he doesn’t speak much English but he will do his best to help you. I appreciate it the fact that we could go anywhere we wanted to buy walking or catching the bus I have a block to the subway. We learn our way around very easily catching the subway and bus was cheaper than doing the taxi as we were there for a week and a half. We were very pleased with our stay.
Very clean rooms, host was quick to message with information with checking in and if needs arose.
It is a nice Gesture house 6 rooms close to Vatican far from downtown ver close to public transportation nice friendly staff quiet nibou
Was a very nice place to stay with recommend soundproofing the walls so neighbors aren’t disrupting you and you’re not disrupting them other than that great value Dining nearby was great
overall good stay
This is an excellent place to stay while in room! The check-in is very easy. Andrea is very very helpful! We will stay again when in Rome. Side note: Bring ear plugs. Lol
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Thr area was well connected to public transit and lots of walkable locations for quick shopping and food. The doors for other guests and entering the hotel are quite loud which woke us up. If I add any constructive feedback for the owner it would be to work on that issue. However, we really enjoyed our time and would recommend
It was our first time in Rome and this was such a comfortable place to stay in- we had such a responsive & helpful host as well The location was just a little outside of central Rome but nearer to the Vatican. The surroundings were quiet and accessible with plenty of bus stop options. We were able to use the kitchen to our discretion although it would have been nice to know that you can’t use the microwave & kettle together The only thing that was a slight problem was our double bed was two single beds pushed together and they kept coming apart at times when sleeping so it would’ve been nicer to sleep on an actual double bed. However, overall, this was a lovely stay and definitely recommended for those looking for an accommodation in Rome.
It is an apartment style room and was more than spacious for my son and I who were travelling. It was extremely clean and well-maintained! There is a small grocery store across the street and new stand and a pharmacy, so essentials are close by It is just a short ride by cab/taxi to the Trevi fountain, Vatican, etc. Andrea was extremely easy and pleasant to deal with, very quick in responding Marco was also very pleasant Would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome/Prati.
Great place for family
Andrea the Host is fantastic!…10 out 10. Highly recommend. He was very attentive. He arranged my pick up from the airport. He provided me with a list of local restaurants which was extremely helpful and helped me with storage of some of my luggage’s….the B&B is very clean. Market and restaurants are walking distance….
Extremely noisy, not clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating room change
Apartment was lovely and very clean. Area was safe but need to walk or get public transport into centre.
Loved the quiet meighborhood
The room was quite basic, but very clean and comfortable beds. The host is very friendly and recommended some great ways to get around Rome. The walk is about 15 mins to the nearest metro station, and about 25 min walk to Vatican City. Very central without staying in Rome centre. The kitchen is very accessible with a fridge and freezer you can use and iron/ironing board.
Hard For A First Time Visit
The place we stayed was clean but for a first time visit not a good location to tour. We were in an area that was not close to the center without hailing a cab or taking a bus. Cabs are few and you have to know which direction to take the right bus. We learned that the hard way. No one was there for two days so we had to wing it figuring things out. This isn’t really a hotel. It wasn’t bad but was not what we needed as a first time experience.
Andrea and staff were very friendly and cared a lot about the comfort of the accommodations. The room was very clean and on a quiet street which allowed us to recover from our jet lag and long days of walking easily. This guest house is ~30 min from the Vatican walking and about the same to the center of Rome depending on what time you catch the bus. Reviews about the mattresses are true but I love a firm mattress, so it was great. The guest house is also close to a number of local restaurants. We had a great meal at Madeline our first night. Andrea is very communicative and gave us all of the proper instructions for arrival.
Súper cómodo, muy limpio , fácil para movilizarse y muy tranquilo para descansar
Nice, cosy guesthouse
Nice, cosy guesthouse. Communication with host was great and very easy transport links. Bus to metro right outside (4 stops or 15min walk) and lots of shops around.
Great place to stay if in Rome and looking for local attractions
Great 3 nights!
We had a great stay at El Dorado, got a great price, and amazing location. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, the beds were comfy and the staff and communication were great!
Excellent place to stay, very convenient, walkable distance from the metro station, and the Vatican. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Located on a great area for shopping and eating. Just as a recommendation, before hiring a cab from the airport to the property, double check the taxi fare with the driver. They might charge more because it is outside the center area of Prati.
Great Stay! Host is awesome, very helpful! Great location!
A weekend in Rome
Excellent room, modern, comfortable, clean. Property was located in a quiet, nice area. We walked all through Rome! Directions to check in were super clear and there was also excellent communication and service. Thank you Andrea for accommodating our unexpected change of plans!
Great hotel for family holiday
The hotel is amazing. Reat location, supermarket and really good neighbourhood. The staff are very kind and helpful and the room very clean and comfortable. For family trip is amazing to have a kitchen available. Wonderful experience
Hotel was awesome, the owner was very friendly, I originally book 2 nights and ended up staying another night. I really wish I could go back in time and be in Rome. Everything was close by there is a panifificadora next door and cafe in front of the building, we went walking to Vatican
We stayed here for the week and really enjoyed ourselves. The host of the property was great! He was friendly and very helpful with getting around Rome. The area around the property is great. We liked that it was Not crowded and we felt very safe walking around at night. There were nearby places to eat and bus stops were within walking distances. The property itself was clean and simple. If we ever return to Rome, we would definitely consider staying here again!
Wonderful stay in Rome
Excellent accommodation which help my stay to be very comfortable, event thou it is just slightly away from the central location, I love the fact that I was staying in a local neighbourhood away from too many tourist. Vatican is only 20 minutes walk, central location of the City is only short for ride in public transport by metro/bus which you can now your contactless credit/debit card especially if you don’t pay foreign exchange for each transaction. The host has been wonderful, he has explained everything about accommodation and recommendations to make your trip more enjoyable, he always been contactable via WhatsApp if you need anything help or have any questions. When I come back to Rome, I will come back to this accommodation.
Everything was Great
Everything good and the property owner very kind, the only thing is the location, no bus stops in front of the place, there is to walk to the station so wasting around 40 minutes to arrived to turistic locations
This property is central to all sightseeing , the host was very helpful in giving us all the information. About getting around , the room was clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated, We stayed over for a weekend and would definitely come back .
Amazing!
It was exactly what we needed for our quick stay in Rome. I loved staying at El Dorado Prati. I’d stay there if I’m ever in Rome again. It was clean, comfortable, had a homey feeling, it’s location is perfect for sightseeing the mayor attractions in Rome and Andrea is so nice, respectful and helpful.
Ideal for a few days stay
Staff were very welcoming, helpful and very knowledgeable of the area. Kept in contact though we had a very late check in due to flight delays. Easy to get around Rome from the accommodation. The facilities are basic, kettle and microwave are available with tea and coffee. If you want a self-catering option, this is not for you. The accommodation can be noisy at times if other residents are in but ideal if you are in and out most of your stay.
We enjoyed our two nights here! The room was clean and tidy when we arrived and our host was very friendly. The area felt safe to walk around at night. It is a bit of a walk to the heart of Rome, about 20-30 minutes but taxis are easily accessible if you don’t want to walk that far. I would recommend!
Not what we expected, but ok for the price
Pros: - Very helpful and accommodating staff. - Easy to find and check in. - Cheaper than most other accommodation in the area. Cons: - The kitchen is a shared facility with several other rooms which we did not realise when booking. - The rooms are not quiet. You will hear lots of noise from the street and other guests. You will also hear the cleaning from 8am every morning.
The place was easy to reach and near to the transport or walk to see the tourists places. The service was excellent and the room was so comfortable for all my family (2 adults and 2 kids)
Very comfortable and safe .
Sehr gut.

No one welcomed us when we arrived. The room had mosquitoes that left us bitten during the night. In the middle of the shower, the hot water is cut off by the person who manages the apartment. The kitchen is not well equiped. It is used just form fridge/macrowave, not for cooking. I heard some noise during the early morning.
A due passi dal centro. Personale gentilissimo. Camera grande e pulita con varie possibilità di parcheggio.
Very good
