THEY wanted to move us for our last day to a hotel far from the activities we came to do and would have required back and forth taxi rides. No towels in pool. Room soooo dark i had a headache trying to see things in room. Balcony door does not lock. Our room keys stopped working and no one at desk.
Clean place. Close to all action
Gooo
Great property for price. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool, nice friendly staff will stay again
Kids enjoyed the pool
Close to Clifton hill
When we arrive everything was ready. Easy access to most attractions. The only thing was that the sealing light wasn't working but the staff came in to check it out. It wasn't a big deal as table lamps were functional. Overwall we like the stay and would come back again as well recommend the place. This is our experience on November 30, 2024. Ka
Close to clifton hill perfect area
Great location, steps away from all the action in Niagara Falls. Great value
We’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and it has usually been okay for the price. Nothing fancy. However, this time we had an horrific experience. On the side of the toilet paper roll after using the toilet paper we notice a large amount of blood on the toilet paper, which we had been using. After seeking medical advice we were advised to go to the Emergency, which we had done. The hospital took blood and provided vaccines for Hep B and additional shots. However, we will not know until 3 months where we have contracted any blood infections. The entire situation has and is causing us tremendous amounts of stress. I’d stay away!!
Not enough light in the room
The positives: The free parking was really convenient and made things easier for us. The front desk staff, both in the morning and evening, were incredibly nice and accommodating, they even giving us two extra bags of ice, which was really appreciated. The room itself was clean, and I liked that there were two sinks—definitely helpful if you’re traveling with someone else. The shower had decent water pressure, which is always a plus. Unfortunately, the toilet was leaking, which was a bit of a hassle. The area wasn’t particularly quiet. The beds weren’t very comfortable either. The room didn’t come with a microwave or fridge—just a coffee maker—which was a bit limiting. The building itself felt old, and the bathroom floor was quite slippery, so be cautious there. Also, the lighting in the room wasn’t great—there weren’t enough lamps, so we had to open the window during the day to get enough light in. Overall, while the staff was wonderful and the room was clean, there were a few things that impacted our stay. With a few upgrades, it could definitely be a more enjoyable experience.
I would stay here again! Well worth it!
it good near main attractions on Clifton Hill. what i did not like is the deposit of $250 charge that i did not know about when booking on website until i showed up at hotel also, that deposit will not be return to my account until i leave then three business day after that i receive my deposit back, that was very annoying to me. i would properly not stay there again.
I had bedbug bites in Room #222. They changed the sheets, but the problem was not resolved.
I stayed there twice (in Room #115 and #222) and got bedbug bites. I showed the bites to the front desk, and they said they would change the sheets. As everyone knows, changing the sheets does not resolve the bedbug issue; they need to hire an expert to eliminate the bugs. I stayed here for business and was supposed to stay longer, but I canceled all my reservations. I contacted Expedia about this problem, but since the plan was non-refundable, they can't provide a refund. This is their responsibility, not mine. I will write about this because I don’t want other guests to face the same problem. I am very disappointed with Expedia as well.
Great place near everything. Clean and convenient
The hotel is great has in door pool, 1 minute walking distance to the skywheel, speedway etc.
Close to downtown Niagara, but the mattresses were shot Don’t know if I would stay there again
Yes it’s amazing for me close every thing
If you're looking for new, this place is not for you. It is very much a 2 star hotel but our experience was good. It is located perfectly on the doorstep of all the Clifton Hill amenities. Walking distance to a huge selection of restaurants. There was always someone our sweeping thr grounds outside and cleaning inside. The room with the pool was waay too hot to sit in without being in the water. We booked 3 rooms. Luckily our room was fine. It had an updated bathroom, clean matress and no smell. The air conditioning unit was probably one of the first units invented but it kept our room cool. One party to our group had a room that was not so nice. It had a damp feeling and musky smell that we assumed was from the bathroom as it was old and there was mould in the ceiling and bathtub. But it had a new AC unit. LOL The third room was ok, newer bathroom but had a small odor. Overall, the place wasnt worth the inflated prices they were charging for labor day weekend but I would stay there again if I had to.
A woman was staying next to us and stayed up all night talking loudly and lauguing. This went on for our two last days. Other than that, the staff were great and the room clean.
The room was less than basic. No microwave. No fridge. Selection of tv channels next to none. Pool was cold and no towels. Given one bath towel per person in the room also. Location was the good feature.
The room wasn't the best, if i'm honest. No fridge, very dated and cheap furniture, and the bathroom and fixtures were a little beat up. And I was on the lower balcony and their was a woden broom stick wedged on the back of the door of the balcony door, which wasn't exactly reashuring haha. But the bed was pretty comfortable, pillows were pretty good, staff was very friendly, parking was super easy, and the location is amazing. Everything is pretty well within walking distace. It was reasonable price for a Sarurday compared to some nicer hotels. But it's like anything down there, you kind of get what you pay for
Lots of noise outside the room on street late at night. In early morning too much noise in hallway. Doors slamming people coming and going at entrance area
Amazing!
Awesome
Clean very close to everything!
This motel has BEDBUGS in ROOM 222, We stayed Sat. Aug 31st - Sept 2nd 2024, I called the motel after I checked out at 5am because I was so itchy I could not sleep and informed them when it was daylight and I was able to see my arms and legs. I went to ER and was told, I had bedbug bites and was having a bad reaction. I called to informed the hotel and a manager was suppose to get back to me and has not. PLEASE DO NOT STAY, yes it may be convenient because of the area, but u do not want to bring BEDBUGS back home or go through what I am going through, with this itchiness and even had to get a shot due to the reaction. Hotel needs to change those comforters and do better. PLEASE DO NOT STAY
Great location and fair priced, free parking. Good experience overall.
.
We showed up 3 hours early and there is no public washroom 🙄
Outdated, but clean. No fridge or microwave, but comfy bed. Close to all attractions. Very convenient. Staff sort of friendly. They were kind enough to keep our travel bags only to have the storm soak them, wonder where they were put. Some electronics got wet. Overall ok. Pool water was cold.
Non smoking but room stank ok old smoke.
The stay at this hotel was ok to be close to the falls and attractions, thxs but beds and pool need some upgrades
Very clean and friendly
The staff was Excellent, the rooms were very clean, has a good size indoor pool, 1 min walking distance to the speedway, skywheel etc. Will definitely be back again soon
Area and affordable price
Neighbouring room very noisy,tv on late at night, patio doors wouldnt open, plus side very central and easy to get to places, coffee maker filthy on arrival, old coffee mouldy inside machine, staff very helpful
Basic accommodation was as expected. No frills but clean, and comfortable bed. Room was very quiet, no street or neighbour noise, but AC unit was a little noisy but not terrible. Pool is very small but my son enjoyed a swim. Staff exceeded expectations, super friendly and helpful.
Horrible service
We arrived around 1pm and check in is at 3pm. I ask nicely is there anyway we can get in our room a little early. No we have no clean rooms. That’s fine I obviously want a clean room. So I ask can we at least park here until we check in since we are guest. They wouldn’t even let us park there for 2hrs until check in. So we had to use a parking lot 2 blocks away and pay $30 to park for 2hrs. The room was semi clean and extremely outdated. The mattress was horrible. They require a deposit at check in which sits on your credit card as pending for 2 weeks. The only good thing about this place is the location.
Loved it
The staff was excellent! They were very helpful with our questions & information with activities around the falls. The room however was not the cleanest. The air conditioner/vent was dirty & loud. The bathroom toilet seat was broken & we were missing towels (there was enough for 2 people, but we were 3).
So running down, bed are not great!
Rooms were ok. No fridge in the rooms. Staff were excellent.
Stayed one night. Older hotel but well looked after. Close to everything and the bus stop to get to the falls was very convenient. Pool was small but clean and enjoyable. Front desk was helpful and very pleasant. We wld stay there again.
Location was everything. Literally one minute walk to Clifton hill attractions. Not too close to be loud but just right. It was very spacious for me and my family. I would have like it if it came with a mini fridge and microwave but it was great.
Clean, easy parking, good staff!
Really liked the size of the room, heated pool, the service and cleanliness of the property. Only thing is that the building or our room could use some renovations. Also a microwave and or mini fridge would nice.
Small budget-friendly hotel.
Family with 2 kids of 8 and 11. We stayed one night to see the Falls mostly. Arrive soon to have parking. Everything is close by walk. Main advantage. The hotel is ok, honest and clean. Mattresses really need an update. Your stay will mostly depend on the quality of your neighbours, walls are thin. We were lucky.
The property was clean, safe, super convenient, and within walking distance of everything and there was public transport stop nearby.
Great location. Outdated facility. Clean! TV channel signal is not clear.
This was a great cheaper alternative to staying in Clifton hill. Just a very short walk (2mins) and you’re in the center of it all. Security Deposit is more reasonable that the other options around (250$ as opposed to 500$) can use a debit card for deposit so the refund is instant on checkout. Pool is gross. Would definitely stay here again.
Worked for what we needed. Very convenient location and staff was friendly
The place needs updating, our room is old but clean. The location is great especially for families who have young kids that needed to have a little rest or nap. Wego is a few feet away, so as the lots of food options.
Overall not bad. Really close to Clifton hill and size of the pool were a plus. Rooms are outdated but clean enough. No towels provided at pool. We did cook out in the parking lot and weren't bothered by anyone.😁
Clean rooms but would be better if had a mini fridge
Stuff was amazing
Very good for the Money
Disgruntled
Booked two room and young lady said I only booked one I was charged full price for second room Another lady Marianne noticed the mistake as there were two rooms booked, one under my name and one under my friends. The hotel did not correct their error.
We really enjoyed staying here. Check in was easy and the staff were super nice. We loved how close everything was and thought it was a great hotel overall.
Shower and bathroom has mold and the fan doesn’t work. No fridge or microwave. It would have been nice to get a food voucher or something since there is no breakfast included. Would be nice to have a smart tv to connect to.
Very clean hotel in heart of Niagara Falls tourist area. Excellent room rates.
This was right in the heart of Clifton Hills without being super pricey. The staff are SUPER friendly. They give you bags of ice when you ask. It is a very touristy area so it is nice being right across the street, but far enough it is peaceful. The fan in the bathroom didnt work and you could see it was causing some damage. Having no fridge makes it a little hard but again the bags of ice help a TON. You can stay after checkout, just have to pay to park, so no need to find parking. It is right on a wego bus route so super nice if exploring.
On this trip, I was travelling with family and we were looking for a place that was very convenient to Clifton Hill and all the attractions for Niagara Falls. This place was exactly what we were looking for. It wasn’t a huge, great big property, but it had all the amenities that you want very close to multiple restaurants and dining options there was a pool and, both nights that we stayed here we used the pool and there was only two other people in the pool at the same time as us so it wasn’t crowded. It was just really relax and it was almost across the street from Clifton Hill so it was just a great location and a really good stay. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms are clean , just a nice place to stay if you’re looking for something convenient attraction
Price was right! Happy with our stay.
The staff were very nice and helpful. Location was great.
The room smelled musty and was very dark. Not enough light anywhere to see inside the room. Many of the outlets did not work. Parking was tough during the day as the hotel sells spots to people visiting the tourist area. Staff were great and helpful. It’s a tired property doing its best. Price was really good all things considered.
This is a perfect spot if you want to be near Clifton Hills however we were disappointed with a few things. We wanted to get ice, however in order to do that you have to go downstairs and go outside to another building so it was inconvenient and there was no fridge in the room...not the cleanest room either as the comforter and carpet were dirty.
Right across the street from Clifton Hill. Very convenient to shopping, dining, and attractions. Red Line and Blue line are 20ft away from there driveway. Only 5-7 minute walk to the bottom of the Hill and great views of the American and Niagara Falls. Daily room service, and staff onsite 24hrs. Only negative thing is no mini fridge or microwave in rooms .
Good location... about it!
Room was bot clean, questionable stains on the chairs. Lack of handicap parking. Lack of towels needed to ask multiple times. Bery basic room with no basic amenities suck as a microwave or even and ice bucket.
Our weekend was amazing! Parking is great and so easy! The only issue I really noticed was the pool water is low and found some bugs while swimming with my child! It is an outdated building BUT it’s so close to Clifton hill and restaurants! The location is amazing , it took us 10mins to walk to the falls! I totally recommend this hotel and the staff was amazing and very helpful, if I go back to Niagra falls I’ll definitely come back and stay here
It’s really close to Clifton Hill. Everything other than the location is very poor.
Surprisingly our stay at Econolodge was above our expectation. Don't get fooled by the outside. It's a very good affordable option to be so close to Clifton Hill if you have a family. Plus the pool was working fine.
I liked the convenience of location to Clifton Hill
Good location, nice staff. Clean. Need a little renovation.
Good property for a night stay
Econo Lodge Good location. Fix lights, Microwave
Great location, free parking, Located in front of Ferris wheel and Go-Cart ride. Rooms need more light. They need to fix the tube lights. They can improve service and provide atleast 1 microwave in the lobby or some common area for the customers.
Arrived early, for some reason was charged 20$ for parking on a Monday morning... 10$ parking sign was up at 3pm when I checked in... asked if it was possible to check in early. Was told No with no real checking if there could be a room ready... Otherwise, location is good, rooms were clean and price is cheap. I'd still recommend if budget conscious.
The overall area & surrounding sights are easily accessible from your location. Very fun & entertaining experience by all who attended.
We enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again!
The room we were given should have been remodeled 20 years ago the rugs were worn and dirty. The comforter also worn and very dirty stained very displeased with the room was not worth the money
The security of the place was nice. Is very close to everything.
good
Best location for Clifton Hill
Always a nice place to stay while in Niagara Falls. It's all about the location near Clifton Hill! And the rooms are always clean! Cheap for Niagara region. Will be back again next year!
Its was nice and quiet.
Good location ,staff was very friendly .
The air conditioning is on point. The staff were kind.
Close to all the attractions and restaurants and 10-15 minute walk to the falls. Very Convenient location. The motel is a bit dated they could get rid of the carpets in the rooms. The room was clean and it served its purpose for the weekend. I would stay there again.
Terrible
Everything we wanted was close by. All of our needs were met.
Excellent location to everything Niagara Falls has to offer. Very friendly staff who made it easy and fast to check in. Both the hotel and rooms were clean and newly renovated (bathroom fan did not work though), but the price made up for this. Pool was excellent, especially after a crazy hot day walking around the Falls. I highly recommend this hotel!!
love the swimming pool
Central location & cleanliness
Older looking hotel and amenities. Split into 2 buildings. Ice machine only available in the main office, no mini fridges so hard to keep drinks cold in summer
Good access and easy to book.
Great location!
Great location at Niagara Falls! It is right at heart of town and 5 minutes walk to Victoria Park by the Falls. Front counter staff were friendly. But there is no mini fridge and safe at room.
Great Service!
There was a cockroach in the bathtub. No lights on the entrance to the unit. We had to look for the light switch which only turned on the lampshade on the table at the far corner of the room. We booked for two people. But there was only one set of coffee packet.
Vey clean room and friendly staff.
My stay was fine and price was right for how little time I spent in my room. Close to all the action, and everything was walkable. Room was fairly clean, but incredibly dated. Check in was easy, but I noticed some other’s checking in were having a hard time getting information about attractions and restaurants and were quite frustrated so I helped them out. Luckily I spent minimal time there except to sleep. I only picked it for location and because I could park.

Wanted to charge me extra to park at the property before check in time😡😡
