disappointment!
i fell for the pics on expedia, once there i was told they gave me a twin bed instead of a king size bed, the room is old, nothing like the pics, the only plus point is that its near to SF Spa
Lovely stay
It was an enjoyable stay with friendly staff in Eco Luxury Hotel.
Give it a miss.
Clearly the pictures are Artist impressions cause the hotel looks nothing like the pictures online. There is nothing luxury about this hotel. I have been in budget hotels with better amenities. Breakfast is disgusting with very little choice about from the files. I would not recommend.
Not What We Thought We Paid For
Paid $100 (USD) a night, photos and descriptions on Expedia vastly differ to what you actually get. Room service just walked into our room without knocking, my wife was sitting on the bed in her underwear....um, hello...! Overall, not a good experience.
we were quite disappointed with this hotel. The room did not live up to the pictures or the title of the hotel. Bed was so hard it was extremely difficult to get any rest and the bed base was broken and made a terrible groaning sound every time we moved. We had a top story room and we could hear animals (?) running around on the ceiling at night and in the early morning making it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was very ordinary and if you were not down by 8.00am there was little in the way of western food except eggs and bread which was only suitable for toasting. We asked for more bacon but were told they had no-one to cook because staff were on holiday for the Chinese New Year. There was no laundry service available for the same reason and then on the last morning there was not even butter for the bread. When we asked we were again told there was no butter because of the holidays and when my husband insisted they reluctantly brought out a teaspoon of butter on a plate. Most of the staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful when they could, but were limited in what they could offer. The location was pretty good though and most of the old quarter highlights were within walking distance. We are not convinced the hotel was worthy of 3 stars.
Good located
Photos showed are misleading, the hotel is ok but not as good like in the photos. Very close to a cool neighborhood and walking distance to different tourist attractions.
4/5 hotel with 5/5 service
Service great, breakfast great, room with 24/7 ac and no disturbing sound from the street
Great location
Friendly staff. Nice big clean room.
Nice hotel, close to the center of hanoi.
Frindly staff, clean big ŕooms, elevator, good breakfast, Staff is willing to help with information etc.
Disappointing hotel
Good location. However room was poor, only had a bed & didn't even have a window. Bathroom was terrible, roof leaked & was incredibly small. Wouldn't come back.
Not as advertised, bed bugs & dirty
DO NOT BOOK - This hotel is not the same as the pictures in Expedia. It was filthy and had bed bugs. The room was beyond basic and over priced for what it was. Several guests checking in complained and didn't stay, some got new better rooms at Eco. I ended up paying for a new hotel room after 3 nights and losing the money. Staff are pleasant but lie when questioned on facilities advertised such as safe in room being none existent. Was told they would improve for me but nothing changed.
Awful
Awful...beds are like boards, noisey from rooms above, very compact room with tiny bathroom - basic breakfast with no other dining options & only basic tv channels. Our 2nd trip to the area, we paid triple local hotel rates for 1-2 star rating.
Decent hotel and good value for money
Hotel staff (Anna) were very helpful with organising Ha Long Bay tour and even shifted our accommodation dates which was convenient and saved us $$$ on the tour Hotel didn't look like we expected (pictures) but was still clean and a short walk to the main streets of Hanoi. Breakfast was also decent compared to what our friends are getting for a more expensive hotel near by.
Nothing like the pictures
When we book this hotel through Expedia, we look at the pictures and we fell for it... once there the hotel was not even close to what they show you, our room was small, badly clean, the toilet was in the shower (literally), the bed hard as rock, there was mold in the shower and hairs left in the drainage area. No safe to stow your valuables, and the hairdryer is so useless that is like not having one, and there is no window in the room. The breakfast super basic and not good at all. The reception wasn't great and the staff not welcoming. To be honest we couldn't wait to go. The only good thing is the location, but you can get better hotels in the area than this.
Great stay Hanoi old Quater
I made reservation in a quite short time. When I arrived the first night, they can not offer me a double bed room, I had to slept in a no window double bed room. Then I insisted, they upgraded me to a double bed room with window, eccentric helped in moving my all luggages. The room was particularly clean, and ok quiet. The weather there was usual, no need to open the air conditioner; if needed, you could used it around the evening through night! The showering system was not so even, easy to use; you could have only whole hot or whole cold water sometimes! Otherwise, everything was perfect!
Awesome Hotel!!!
My stay at Eco Hotel Hanoi was great!!! The hotel is in a great location in the center of Hanoi within a very short walk to all of the action. My room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too. I definitely recommend staying here or at Eco Luxury Hotel right down the street. They are both owned by the same family. I had a really awesome experience doing a motorbike tour with a hotel employee named "T". If you're adventurous and want to see Hanoi through the perspective of a really cool 23 year old local, try to book a tour with this guy. It was truly one of the best experiences of my life!!!
Very friendly, helpful staff. Included breakfast was very good also! I would gladly go back.
Windows
We arrived late 23.00 everyone helpful nice room With Window .Steven very helpful .You need to ask for a window. They need to drop the luxury bit
Great value in old town Hanoi
Great price and helpful staff in this hotel. Don't expect five star amenities, but this place was perfect for our two nights in Hanoi.
Convenient location
The breakfast is quite ordinary
Convenient hotel!
I really like it!
Not impressed with Hotel and Service.
Hotel room was dated. Not what we expected. We booked a room with a balcony and ended up in a room with no windows. Felt like a dungeon. Tried to tip the staff member for bringing up some waters and he didn't accept our tip cause he wanted more. The front desk clerk Anna was very nice which was a plus.
Pleasant trip ..friendly staff and helpful..very enjoyable trip..
Pleasant trip and helpful & friendly staff. Nearby to most attraction .
ok
Location ok, staff friendly but not so good English. Room clean but noisy, thin walls
Nice hotel
It was nice and comfortable hotel
The best location in hanoi
An excellent room with massive queen bed. Loved the wood floors in rooms. The location was perfect, close to the park and the lake. A large number of excellent restaurants in the walkig area.
This hotel was nice but basic. If your looking for somewhere to only sleep then this hotel is fine. Was clean and provided wifi. The service was fantastic from the staff always asking how our day was and if we needed any help with ideas of things to do. Was central and we were able to walk to majority of things such as the markets and the lake.
Hotel in the middle of the action
The hotel was waiting to pick us up from the airport. Our room was a good value and we had breakfast. They also stored our luggage for us while we went on a tour
Suite was very comfortable, great air-conditioning
Anna was great, she was very very helpful and accommodating!
Very disappointed
Let's start with a positive, the location is fine being central in the old quarter. The negatives are extensive: - breakfast choice was extremely limited, often having to ask for butter only to be told they were out of butter - mattresses on the bed were old and extremely hard, add to this stained sheets - towels were really thin and tattered, they ripped quite easily just when drying yourself - there was a musty smell in the apartment, the ventilation was not great - the bathroom had a bad stench due to the water sitting on the bathroom floor behind the bath as it was not flush against the wall - mouldy shower curtain and when we mentioned to get this cleaned, it was removed but when asked for another one, we were told that it was being cleaned and no replacement being offered - Anne is friendly, only to get a sale for a tour. When no tour was being booked through her, she was not so friendly To end on a positive, the breakfast staff were lovely
Q H Tran
Nothing to complain
Hung Ozi
Very friendly staff, clean room, good location, but not much of breakfast choices.Well recommended
Kind staff, uncomfortable beds, unlike photos
The staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast was good and had a nice selection. The rooms do not resemble the pictures and were a little more run down. Beds were hard and felt like lying on a box spring. Staff was kind and offered to switch is rooms but we ended up choosing to stay in a quieter neighbourhood after our first night. That's said, if you prefer to be near the famous sights then this area, The Old Quarter, may be what you're after
A safe place to stay in Hanoi
Great hotel. Nice staff. All facilities were available. Good for the money paid.
Cancelled stay, got refund
I originally booked 5 nights. When I arrived, the room that I booked was somehow unavailable, so I was put in a smaller, noisier room in the back of the hotel. I had to figure this out on my own, as the staff members were not forthcoming with information. Long story short, I called Expedia and they got the first night free for me. I spent the first night there, but after a few more misadventures and communication breakdowns, I called Expedia again and was able to check out of the hotel the next day get a discount on the first night and full refund for the rest of the booking. I spoke to the manager for a while before leaving, and he was very kind, very understanding and apologetic.
Visit Ha noi
Hotellet ligger ganske sentralt - Ha Noi old quarter.
Super Lage, sehr freundliches Personal.
Super zentrale Lage. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in fußläufiger Nähe. Preis-Leistung top.
Erinomaisen siisti ja loistava palvelu
Suosittelen. Voisin varata uudelleen.
