Got there early about 6 AM very friendly help me with things to do. Asked me if I wanted an early check in which I did for a very reasonable fee. I had my laundry done as well. Price is right place was clean. Elevator would stay here again.

When I got to hotel, it was early around 8 o’clock. Asked me if I wanted to early check in which was wonderful. Help me with any information. I have .clean great location. Very friendly elevator great for the price.

Staff was helpful

This is a nice, affordable, and cheerful hotel. Some rooms have working TVs, while others have non-functioning safes.

It was fine for a couple of nights. Rooms were quite worn but clean enough.

Hi recommended hotel, very comfortable and valuable. We had a great time at the hotel, just a bit pity that we couldn’t stay more due to the rooms are fully booked. We will be back in the future for sure.

Excellent service, super friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable (beds are firm which is normal in Asia). Great location in the old part of the city to explore on foot

Great location. Awesome staff - very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help you at every turn, and will give recommendations and suggestions for things to do and see, as well as where to eat. Super polite and unfailingly cheerful. A pleasure to deal with.

The facility is quite old and hallway is narrow, staff are ok, but the price i paid and just one night it’s ok.

I stayed at this location for 5 days. The hotel itself needs some upgrades. Other than that, it's located in an excellent location, walking distance to Hoàn Kiếm Lake and night market. All staff members are super nice and very helpful. I would stay here again.

The hotel is located close to all the main attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a little small, but it is to be expected for the price and location.

Our experience was not great. We've stayed in several places around Vietnam and these beds and pillows were by far the most firm and uncomfortable. We found that sometimes the room was rather smelly. I'm not sure if it was cigarette smoke or musty. I was contacted by the hotel about 10 days after booking that there was a 'pricing mistake', and that I could pay more or cancel our reservation. The message was polite, but I found it a bit unusual. On the plus side, the location is great.

It was good

The hotel is in the historic district of old Hanoi which was close to everything we wanted to see. Most things we wanted to see were within walking distance - lake, water puppets, war museum, Hanoi Hilton, night markets, shopping, etc. Staff were outstanding. Very friendly and helpful, especially the young ladies behind the reception desk and the doorman. Will definitely stay again next time I am in Hanoi. We stayed for 8 nights

The hotel did not honor the price we booked here at Expedia. I don't care whatever reasons happening at the hotel that made the price increased when we arrived as I booked because of the cheap price just to store my luggages for me to hang around before heading to my trip at night. Good thing they didn't charge me because I told them I won't stay overnight. But they told me they would charge extra $5 next time I come back. So I just canceled my reservation for my stay on 11/17 to 11/18 because of their sudden changes in price even though we booked ahead.

Cramped but you get what you pay for

This hotel was perfect for a couple of short nights in the city. We had a ‘junior suite’ on the road front, with a balcony. The circular bed in the room was quite uncomfortable, but bearable. The addition of a further single bed made the room quite cramped. The bathroom looks like a high standard but the toilet flush was a little dodgy. No breakfast is currently offered but there’s plenty of options locally. Airport taxi booked was good value and on time. Staff were all very friendly. There was loud building works from around 8am from the basement where they are revamping the hotel to offer a breakfast area for guests.

The place is good for value but pretty old. The big rooms are nice but the room without any window was kind of muggy. Old building but good price

Very poor hotel and experience

At check-in I was told the room I booked had a leak and I was going to be put into a smaller windowless room but the next day I would be changed, the next day he said they were fully booked and would not refund the difference I had paid, he tried to convince me what I paid was for the smaller windowless room. After saying I will speak to hotels.com he magically found me a bigger *upgraded* room. The room had a window to a shaft storing air con units, the room was not clean, and the sheets were stained and had blood stains on them.(check pics) cleaners are screaming and shouting at 7 am I understand things go wrong but lying to me about being full and then trying to be smart and tell me I wasn't owed a refund is the worst part, never mind the dirty room.

Wonderful time in Hanoi and the Hotel is good

QQQ3838. First, Thanks Alex for his excellent services when I were in Hanoi. The hotel is located in old downtown and our room that facing the front is a bit aged, but excellent. Our flight was late late due to Covid-19, but the driver was right in the Airport at about 3AM to pick us up. The Airport Pick up is strongly recommended. The breakfast has small good selection, coffee is great. Enjoy it very much. Taking bus is not so hard, many bus run by the hotel. If all possible, I will recommended to stay in Hanoi at less one week. So much to see and eat....food is good a price reasonable. One last thing, People in Hanoi is nice. A small shop give away free mask to people. We got one and will keep it for good memory.

Older hotel, excellent location, nice staff

This hotel is not very old, but it looks a little tired and dated. But you get what you pay for and it is very affordable. Location is the best and the staff was very friendly, helpful and nice. The room felt like I was in a 1970's adult film! ha ha... It was the honeymoon room with a round bed and some faux leather features. A good place to stay for a fair price. Certainly not high end and not low end, a fairly decent hotel with no frills. Room, towels and sheets were clean. Hot water takes 15 minutes and frig provided. Safe in room too for locking valuables. They have 2 other sister hotels in town.

Good service but small room

When we arrived we were not given the room we originally booked. It's much smaller... The room itself is kinda old but restroom+ shower is brand new. Service is definitely good, laundry does washing and folding. For the price $30/night it's a nice choice, I just wish we were given the room we booked.

Awesome location - I have stayed in several Hotel in this area and this my favorite part of Hanoi. Great breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Rooms a little on small size but for the price still great value. Give it a go

Staff amazing. In old town very busy area. Staff arranged for pick up from airport arranged our tours and when we left by train to Hue staff ride in the cab with us and took us to our sears on the train and stored our luggage for us. Their service was just great

The hotel stay was great. Decent sized rooms, cranking ac, good breakfast pho, decent location and a very attentive staff- I'd for sure stay here again. We booked a ten day tour which had a few days in Hanoi(with included a food tour with a great English speaking guide), overnight in Ha long bay and a few days in Sapa and Tam Coc. All in all it was a great trip and very well organized.

Very nice hotel for a five day business trip

This was my first trip to Hanoi and I was staying for five days, including one weekend. Accordingly, I was very curious to see how things would work out. Wherever possible I am using public transportation from the airport, and that worked very well in this case. The bus stop on the 86 bus from the airport is just about 200 m from the hotel. From the pictures of the rooms, I was actually expecting a much larger hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave good advice. The location is very good, as it is close to the old town, but not directly in it. Especially on the weekends, it can become very noisy in that area but this hotel was very quiet. The Wi-Fi worked very well, but there was no desk and working with the laptop was quite a challenge. That was the only downside.

The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable. Mr. Alex is always ready to help and assist. The space is as advertised and served well for three weeks! Always ask questions about laundry service and day trips. Highly recommend the property.

Excellent hotel + friendly staff + location

It’s a great stay with Eclipse Legend Hotel in Hanoi and it’s my 2nd time staying here. The staff are very friendly and informative. Many places and famous local food are walking distance from hotel. If you are considering to visit Halong Bay or Ninh Binh(Kong Skull Island where they film King Kong) do get in touch with their customer and sale department to arrange the tour. Eclipse Legend Hotel is a good choice for all types of travellers. I will strongly recommend this hotel.

It was okay

Location was great! However, the hotel needs a lot of update. We had booked 3 rooms and 2 of them had issues with bathroom that could not be fixed. If they make small investment in this property, it can be pretty amazing! Wish the staff guided us a little better with restaurant and spa options..

This location was convenient to Sapa Express bus station. We just stayed one night but the staff were helpful.

We had a great time here! not only because the hotel is right at the center, near many tourism spot and restaurants but also the great helpful staff. they seems able to read your mind and offer right away what you need. , is one of them. his service makes us feel like in 5 star hotel. I definetly come back here next time to have his service.

I'm extremely angry because they sold off my room and then when asked about the honeymoon suite they said they upgraded me to a deluxe for free which was a shittier and cheaper room. When asked they got upset and told me that I didn't want the room I paid for.

This hotel has become my default hotel in Hanoi and will be the only hotel I stay at when I visit Hanoi. It is in a ideal location in Hanoi's "Old Quarter" down a small quiet laneway. The staff are excellent and Amanda at reception is extra helpful.

Close to Hoan Kiem

I had a wonderful time at Eclipse Legend. Very convenient and walkable distance from Hoan Kiem Lake so it felt good knowing I didn’t nhe have to travel far to feel like I was part of the city. One quick note I may add is that while they do charge for an extra person fee (if you originally book as one), they don’t tell you beforehand as I only found out on the day of checking out. Not a complaint, just a warning for everyone to be sure of how many are staying in the hotel. We also stayed on the 6th level of the hotel and it would be quite loud from either other hotel guests or staff at 11pm at night.

The Service is awesome, everyone is really nice and gives you tips how to enjoy hanoi! They will try to make your stay perfect! The Breakfast is delicious too and the rooms are nice as well :) I have nothing to complain, i will definetly come back again :)

Friendly, hospitable staff, who weren't pushy about tours (which is great for Vietnam), and spacious, clean rooms with a decent view. . Fruit selection, iffy pho, plain bread(in the land of amazing breads!) could all be improved. All in all, recommended, and we had great value for our money!

The hotel location is really excellent, you'll have short ways to all sights. The staff has good language skills, is friendly and well informed about attractions around and gave us good advices where to go. The breakfest varity is sufficient. Overall the Hotel is worth every cent.

Brilliant location, superb helpful staff. They made our stay in hanoi the best in Vietnam trip. Hotel is in the middle of busy city center, close to all the famous sightseeings and local restaurants ( we loved them a lot ). we could find food all the time from morning till night. Room is very worth for the money you paid for.

Stayed here for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. For the price we paid, I think this hotel exceeded my expectations. We could walk to anywhere in the Old Quarters from the hotel. The room had comfortable space for 2 of us and it had everything you need. Clean and cosy. The breakfast selection wasn't aplenty but there's enough variety to choose from over 3 days. The staff were also very helpful and polite. I will stay here again if I am returning to Hanoi.

The hotel is very near to many attractions and places like Hoankiem lake,water puppet theatre.., etc. My most impressive thing was about the staff. They are so kind and very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to everybody

We stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights and I am so glad that we chose this Hotel.the room was just gorgeous, it was large and had the most comfortable bed with amazing pillows.Our room was cleaned everyday and the breakfast included in the price of the room was outstanding.Location was perfect.

Nice hotel, bad start

This hotel is situated on the outer edge of the old quarter. Literally minutes walk to everything. We booked a superior room for 4 nights but when we arrived we were told they thought we’d booked for two! I showed them the booking and that was rectified. We were then shown to a room that could only be described as a cell. It was small, cramped and no window. There was no floor space for our luggage and I had to access my side of the bed by climbing over my husband, not ideal. It was very claustrophobic and very hot resulting having to have air con on constantly through out the night. The ensuing result made my husband extremely ill. We spoke to reception about this, as needed to ask them to find a pharmacy for medication for him. We also requested a move and was told the room we were in would normally be for an over night stay. We were offered a different room at an upgrade price, which we obviously took. The new room was spacious and had a balcony door that could be opened, so light and fresh air. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was ok. I’d recommend anyone booking here to check they have a window if staying longer than one night.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. We booked the Lan Ha Bay cruise and Sapa tour from here. The staff offered reasonable tour price. The tours are good and worth it. Hotel offered a room for shower after night train before we departed to airport. Overall, the hotel staff and services are good and professional.

reat breakfast but small portions. Staff speak phonemenal English. They are so helpful and friendly. They helped to arranged taxi to pick us up from the hotel and take us to the airport after coming back from Halong Bay even though we where not a guest anymore. At the airport we realized we left a bag in the taxi, called the hotel who called the taxi driver.. The driver came back with no complaints or along for more money (I did give the guy a tip).

Pros - value for money, the staff were amazing, decent choice for breakfast, centrally located with lots of shopping and food options in the area, room was clean and spacious Cons - some rooms have no window and limited English channels on the TV Tip

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Charming staff, good location

Like most of the Vietnamese staff we have met so far, the staff at Eclipse were fantastic and very helpful. The room was OK but a bit small even though we took an upgrade for 10 USD per night (if not, there would have been no window). One tip would be to ask for a room away from the front of the hotel because the road is noisy even on the 6th floor. Breakfast was the worst part of the hotel so if you're not bothered by this don't worry. The food was OK I guess but the room you had to eat in was hot and didn't make you want to eat particularly. Lobby was very small but looked like most of the other hotels we saw in Hanoi. Very good location, 10 mins away from the old quarter. If you are interested in a Halong Bay tour, the staff can talk you through it and you can book it through them so that if something goes wrong, they can help you (although nothing did and we went with A class).

The location and the staff were great, but the refrigerator was broken and couldn’t use it.

Arrived late & was directed to local restaurant which made delicious food. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We decided to stay another night but as our room was booked we needed to transfer to another floor. We did this twice more as we just loved the great people who ran hotel. Can definitely recommend this hotel. Lots of good info and helped us book onward travel.

Nice hotel

Very nice place and within walking distance to many places. It looked sketchy at first because the hotel located in an alley and not easy for taxi to get in and out. The hotel can arrange transportation too. The room is nice and roomy. The bed is comfy and the shower and bathroom are clean. Went on a day tour recommended by the hotel clerk and turns out great!!! Before you leave for a walk from the hotel, make sure you look at the alley entrances so you can find your way back. Even with a little map, I was lost a few times because the roads are all crooked! God bless!

Excellent Staff, Great location

This should be one of the most satisfying hotels we have come across. The location is excellent, with all important places in walkable distance. The restaurant had an excellent spread for the breakfast which was complementary. The most exciting part was the staff, who were very proactive and attended to us at every point. They even offered us to pack our breakfast since we were checking out early!

This was my first time to Vietnam and hotel staff helped in so many ways, from suggesting places to eat to finding solutions to my problems. Rooms are spotless and modern, the breakfast perfect and everyone was so nice. Their good service even extended to helping us book our airport taxis and confirming our cruise/train schedules. Highly recommended to stay with them!

Much more than I expected

It was my first port of call in Vietnam as a single traveller and I was so well looked after. The hotel team were at all times friendly and thoughtful and were very kind and professional. Jenny in particular offered excellent customer service. The rooms were very clean and comfortable but do ask for a room with a window or balcony! Is located in the Old Quarter but not in middle in the action, and i appreciate that when you are in a crazy city like Hanoi!. I would thoroughly recommend staying here and it is very close to where you will want to be!

Very nice boutique hotel

The hotel is great but it is the staff that make Hanoi trips special. Hotel made it so easy to organize my hanoi trip, the hotel arranged all the necessary bookings for the halong cruise and the day tour that we wanted (if you book the tour with the hotel, taxi pick up on arrival is free).We love the Eclipse, we loved Hanoi but it was the pure care and dedication of the lovely staff that made this a chosen hotel for others to enjoy. Thank you for looking after us and we look forward to seeing you again on our next visit.

Perfect time in Eclipse Legend Hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the rooms were clean and very comfortable .We stayed for 2 nights and had little time to explore the city, so we were very happy that the hotel is located in a nice area. Staff was very helpful in showing us around and we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel when we went on a 2-day cruise to Ha Long Bay. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend! Would happily stay there again!.
