Average stay with night market nearby

The room was quite spacious as we had a corner unit in the newly renovated tower. However, the sound proofing was quite bad and there are a lot of door-bangings and people knocking on the walls. It's a great location with the night market about 5-10mins walking distance away.

Great service great people

Great team of people that serve with passion and heart. Constantly greeting us and even offered to send us to train station. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel is just next to the city area. Overall a fantastic stay for us!

Very good location and short walking distance to ziqiang night market and golden triangle. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Bed is clean and complimentary breakfast is good and decent.

Adequately-sized room for 4 persons with a toilet that compliments the number in the room. Generally clean and comfortable stay. Guests can make free use of bicycles. Breakfast could be more varied though. By the third day, we had to eat out!

The hotel is located on a quiet street but just round the corner, 2 mins away are convenience stores, shops, restaurants and even a market. The night market is a 5-min walk in the opposite direction. Room and bathroom are spacious and clean and I found the shower area to be very spacious.

We booked 2 rooms. They gave us room 703 and 709. But room 709 air-conditioning malfunction... Auto cutofff after few mins, have to change to room 706. Air-conditioning work this round but facility was old and run down vs room 703 and 709.

Excellent Hotel to Stay in Hualien

The hotel is excellent as they have free pick up and drop off from/to Hualien station. We were given free upgrade to family room without even requesting it. The hotel staff gave good advice on what to do and eat in Hualien and the location of the hotel is perfect! The hotel even provide free bicycle rental for us to cycle around Hualien to watch sunrise ! The breakfast buffet spread was good and fresh. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. We have enjoyed our stay very much. Would strongly recommend all to stay with East Town.

Good two-night stay...

Staff spoke English and were very helpful. Good sized double-room with comfortable bed and all basic amenities. No room safe. Air conditioning controls only in Chinese. Strong shower sounds from adjacent rooms. Buffet breakfast only until 9:30 am, but good healthy selection. Walking distance to Dongdamen Night Market, shopping area and restaurants; nearby a laundromat and a 7-Eleven. Good two-night stay.

Hotel with good service

Hotel has good customer service and provides free shuttle service from the train station. Rooms are also fairly clean. However, it was pretty squeezy for a room for 4. We barely had space to fit in our luggages. Also the room does not provide additional power points. We had to unplug the one for television to charge our devices hence we end up not being able to watch TV when we are in the room.

Wonderful gem for a family.

Excellent stay. The location was perfect in the center of Hualien, 10 minutes from the nightmarket. Fast wifi, clean room, all amenities were already available in the room without request. THe bathroom was clean and HUGE. THe room was very comfortable. What really was a standout was the friendliness of the staff. They gave excellent recommendations for surrounding food vendors and night market stalls. The breakfast was great. Plentiful and filling. It was a nice blend of eastern and western choices. Since we stayed for 2 days, it was very appreciated that they made an effort to change the meals from a day-to-day basis. Very well recommended. Will stay again.

The location of the hotel is not very near to Hualien train station. It is about 10 minutes car ride (taxi) from the Hualien train station. The hotel receptionist staffs are friendly and approachable. The room (accommodating 4 persons) and toilet size is spacious. The toilet itself has 2 basins and many toiletries. It is about 5-10 minutes walk to the night market and it is easy to get around from the location of the hotel.

Wonderful little hotel for a family on a budget

We booked 2 rooms for 4 adults and a toddler. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is centrally located in Hualien. It is about 5 mins from the night market. The staff was extremely friendly and suggested a number of great things to try at the night market. We highly recommend the "number 1 bbq stand". Breakfast was nice. It was a nice blend of mostly eastern but some western selections. The typical congee, veggies, small pickles if you like the eastern stuff. Eggs, toast, sausage, and bacon for westerners. It definitely was a nice spread to start the morning. If it doesn't fit your bill, the cafe next door also had a great breakfast selection. Try the basil egg omelette. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was huge. Our king size bed was great and not too soft. Overall a great experience, definitely recommend!!!

Kindest, friendliest staff at comfortable hotel

Helpful friendly staff. Breakfast 7 out of 10. I booked for another visit a few weeks later. Really liked it. No view from my room but not important to me. Had fun walking to several markets, three less than ten minutes walk.

It's my #1 choice to stay if I return to Hualien

One block away from shopping and restaurants. Night markets were 5 minutes away on foot. We arrived at around 6 and the staff volunteered to give us a brief overview of where to eat and shop. We had three rooms. All rooms were clean and pleasant. Breakfast choices were sufficient. Fantastic value for a great stay. Small hotel with an attentive staff. Will definitely stay there again if we visit Hualien.

It is well-located, within walking distance to a night market. Just don't go to a foot reflexology clinic near the hotel. I ended with up with terrible rash and insect bites that were extremely itchy.

Excellent hotel service. We had 3 nights at this hotel. The room is not 4 star class but well maintained and clean. More over, hotel service are excellent. They are very helpful. I would stay this hotel when I return to Hualien.

A smart place

A good choice in Hualien. We had a standard room and it was very spacious. Bed was comfortable and air on very good. Location fine. Building work next door wasn't a problem. It seems you have to ask if you want housekeeping so bear this in mind. Free transfers to and from the railway station. Would definitely stay again

A great hotel near the city centre

The reception was quite helpful in recommending where we could go to walkabout near the hotel, as well as places to eat.

Very good service

The hotel runs a reliable shuttle to and from the station, which is good because the area around the station is a bit unsavory. It's close to the new "tribal" night market and the shore as well as day markets and downtown, such as it is. The staff were great BUT all but one spoke virtually zero English, if that's an issue for you. They were nevertheless extremely well-trained, patient and attentive, which is why I'll probably stay there again next time I visit Hualien.

Booked the room for after hiking relaxation in Hualien. Hotel is somewhat dated but comfortable. Bathroom suffered from the high local humidity. All the amenities were available as advertised, the hotel helped store luggage after checkout so we could explore the city, and they gave us a ride to the train station!

Nice choice in budget

The twin room is not big but clean, and the bathroom is super big! Hotel guys are friendly and polite. Breakfast is so so, I think you can eat less to have more famous food in Hualien. Near to the downtown and they provide free bike rental.

Great location, great breakfast, great service!

Excellent service with free shuttle ride to the train. Some staff speak English well while other staff don't speak much but that didn't affect the great level of service that we experienced. Breakfast is one of the best we've had staying at hotels - full Taiwanese breakfast with options to make a "American sandwich" if you don't fancy Taiwanese food in the mornings. We loved it however, even better than many restaurants! Location is great with the night market within a very short walking distance and a great porridge restaurant nearby. The two downsides were the mosquitoes in the hotel/rooms and the room not always smelling the best like muggy water, perhaps its the air conditioner. However these wouldn't prevent us from staying there again! Very satisfied overall!

Great stay!

The managers of the hotel were super friendly and helpful. They picked us up from the train station the day we arrived and dropped us off when we left. They also provided many options of sight seeing, from group bus tours, to free bike rental, to assistance with renting a scooter. We chose to rent a scooter, and they drove us to the rental shop and later picked us up after we returned the scooter. We also took advantage of the free bike rental provided by the hotel. The hotel was comfortable and wifi was fast. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel is centrally located close to food, shopping and bank. Highly recommended.

Great hotel close to the train station

This quaint hotel had staff that really went the extra mile. We needed to rent a scooter to head up the Taroko Gorge , which I told the front desk staff, they made all the calls for us and arranged the scooter and one of the staff personally drove us to pick up the scooter. They really went out of their way to help some Canadian travelers. The hotel itself was a bit older but kept really clean. The breakfast which was included in the room was satisfying though not that extensive. The coffee was excellent which is always a good way to start the day.

Perfect for your first time to Hualien

I chose the East Town 26 because for the price and reviews I couldn't find anything better. It appealed to us because the free shuttle from the Hualien Train station to the Hotel. I booked our Train tickets online, and emailed the hotel (had to look up contact email information on their website. Google East Town 26 to find.. in the email I meantioned our arrival time to Hualien. They called me the next day and confirmed the time and that they would be there. A man picked us up outside of the Hualien Train station Front Entrance in a newer Black VW Diesel Van with Air Conditioning that had East Town 26 clearly marked on the van. Upon arrival, we were asked for our passport only and the smart card to our room was given. It's a key that is just waved in front of the lock and it opens. We stayed on the 5th floor in a standard double room. Upon entering the room, you have to put your key card in the slot next to the thermostat for the electricity to be turned on to the room. After it has been taken out, the lights will shut off in a matter of seconds. We were pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness of the room. if you sleep with 2 pillows, you could probably ask for a second. The flatscreen TV was quite new and a selection of channels was nice. The breakfast was typical Taiwanese. Me and my wife just had toast with butter and strawberry jam and coffee (cream and sugar) but it was comfortable. Overall this was an effortless hotel for the price and we would stay here again.

Comfortable stay if you don't mind the small room

Room looked like newly renovated. Room is clean but small. Can be quite a squeeze, with not much space for an open 24" luggage. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast spread is decent. Quite happy with the stay. Will recommend friends to this hotel.

The room was really clean and the staff were very helpful. First time to Hualien with family so we were unfamiliar with the surrounding. They helped with booking train tickets back to Taipei to familiarizing us with the surrounding. Recommended

Close to Hualien city and train station

The room was adequately comfortable, and the hotel manager kindly upgraded us to a bigger room that was available at no extra charge when we paid for an extra roll-away bed. It has a quaint rooftop garden on the 6th floor, doubt anyone goes there much, but it's a nice touch. The next day when we checked out and needed to get to the train station, they kindly offered their van service to the station. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and seem to go out of their way to make our stay in Hualien a better experience!

Nice helpful and polite staff

Very friendly staff... Polite and modest even when I cancelled my pre-arranged half a day trip. Facilities are a bit old but Clean. Free shuttle services to train station. close to qi xing tan by bike. Nice little town.

A wonderful stay!!!!

We were picked up from the train station by Chewy. We made sure to call the hotel before arriving. He was right on time. Chewy picks you up at the Tourist Information building, which is a 2 minute walk away. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff goes out of there way to give your advice and directions. We used the hotel bikes that are free to guests the first day we arrived. The second day Chewy dropped us off at the bus station to get bus tickets to see the gorge. I ecommend renting a scooter, which we did on our third day. The friendly staff helped us to arrange this. The hotel is under renovations so you may hear noises outside the building during business hours. This was not a problem because we were out. The room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very delicious. The hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area close to the night market, many shops, and restaurants. Also down the street is the beach. I highly recommend this hotel to any friends.

East Town 26 Hotel - Hualien

Hotel is well located, 1 min walk to main streets for shopping and eating. Rooms are large and clean. They also provide helpful free transport pickup and return to the train station and airport. Staff are friendly and helpful, but English not so good, mainly Mandarin speaking. So your English emails may not be responded to ! Overall, highly recommended at the good price.

Convenient location, excellent service.

Hotel is close to a lot of famous food stalls (as recommended by hotel staff). An 8-hour tour of Hualien and its sights can be booked by the front desk, which is worth every penny because of all the sights you could reach versus struggling with the lack of a convenient public transportation in Hualien. Hotel is close to the train station, and pick up service is available from 9am onwards. Hotel room is spacious and clean, breakfast spread is good. Very recommended!

Pleasant hotel close to street markets and shops

Good central position with extremely helpful staff. Great to be able to borrow the hotel's bikes free of charge so that getting to the bus station was quick and easy for excursions further afield such as visiting the Rift Valley and Taroko Gorge. The breakfast was simple but adequate. It was clean and the staff clearly wanted to help if they could. The staff could speak a little English which was useful. There was free wifi but no safe deposit box.

Strategic location, clean room and good service

The hotel in s very strategic location. Near and walking distance to many attractions and food. Service is good and helpful. Provide lots of famous restaurant information to us. Big room that give us real enjoyment. The problem is hotel name display at hotel in English is different.

I booked this hotel based on reviews, and I was not disappointed. Pros: - well located, 3 minutes walk from the popular 'triangle' of city center shops - good WiFi signal in the room - very nice room for a very fair price - they gave me free ride to the train station upon check out (rather than pay a taxi) - front desk staff were eager to help with my touristic plan (thought it was challenging since they don't speak English. We used Google Translate to communicate) - fair breakfast to those who eat oriental food - free computer connected to the Internet in the lobby Cons: - staff speak very little English - poor breakfast for those who eat just Western food - note that the sign outside the hotel does not say 'Easttown 26" but rather something else ("The King Chen's"), so it might be confusing to find the place

不會再次光臨

1.連續住兩天，一共提供兩張房卡，但第二天打掃的人員把客人留在房內的房卡抽走。 2.櫃檯人員只有到十二點，但我們是連續住兩天，還好第二天晚上九點就回到旅館，才發現磁卡已失效，請他們補磁，不然超過時間難道要我們露宿街頭嗎？ 3.洗澡水太小就算了，還忽冷忽熱，不是太燙就是冰水。 4.冷氣一點都不冷。 5.隔音極差。 6.停車場太遠，一點都不方便。

入住時房間有嚴重煙味，反應後即時的用臭氧機除臭；過段時間有比先前還重的煙味，服務人員來看過後，就換間房間給我，服務算還蠻積極的。隔音設備不錯（因有淺眠的習慣）整晚沒有被吵醒（第二次把我安排在電梯旁，沒有聽到機器運轉的聲音）

服務員很親切，微笑滿月，且壽星當月還特別準備，親筆手寫寫卡片，還送小禮盒，實在讓人很溫馨，很貼♥，週遭環境很方便，很熱鬧市區且有夜市，早餐也蠻好吃的，速度很快，值得拜訪住宿，CP值超高

今回を含めて4回目の利用です。 繁華街から徒歩数分で行ける距離と、スタッフの方々が親切で値段も手頃なのがいいところです。 室内もしっかり清掃されています。 朝食もブュッフェタイプで豪華ではないですが、美味しいです。 あと少し古いですが無料のママチャリも10台ほど用意されていて花蓮の街ブラをするのに便利です。 また花蓮を行く際には利用したいと思います。

靠近東大門夜市又在市中心,去那裡都非常方便.

這間酒店地理位置很好，房間整潔度很高。 浴室很乾淨。

用餐區外看的到一包一包的垃圾，讓我在用餐興致大大減低。

大通りから一本入った静かなホテル。 スタッフの方が少し日本語を話せる。街の地図をくれ、簡単に説明してくれたり、雨が降っていた時には傘を貸してくれたり、出発時にタクシーをお願いすると迅速に対応してくれたり、とたくさん配慮してくださいました。 朝食は品数こそ少ないものの、十分な水準と思います。 また花蓮に訪れる際には泊まりたいと思いました。

部屋の設備や内装は古くて窓も開けられなく快適とは言えませんが、受付の責任者の方が大変親切で、バスツアー等大変お世話になりました。なので、印象はかなり良かったです。

地點非常好

離東大門夜市很近、離花蓮市區也很近、交通非常方便。價錢非常划算合理、房間非常乾淨、早餐很豐富也非常好吃、特別是滷肉飯很香、下次有機會去花蓮還想再住一次。

괜찬았어요

가격이 저렴한만큼 만족도는 생각하기 나름인데요 우리는 두살짜리 아기랑 함께여서 조금 불편했네요 1박이라 다행이였답니다 방음 심각하게 안되구요 창문이 있긴한데 그냥벽이네요 화장실은 넓어서 좋았구 물수압도 엄청쎘어요 청소상탠 그냥그랫던것같구 침대시트도 약간까슬거렸어요 직원은 친절하셨고 조식도 가짓수는 별로없지만 먹을만했습니다 아이랑 가기엔 그렇구 그냥 친구나커플은 하루이틀정도는 머물만합니다

空調的聲音太大了

Great location and friendly staff. Very close to Dong-da-man night market (around 7 minutes from the hotel) and 1~2 minutes to the day market. This was my second time to stay here. Will come back again.
