Have stayed many times for business. Lots of weddings so very expensive. Bar staff not very cordial. Need folks with better English. Club lounge is a must! Always enjoy the team in the lounge.
Great property. But needs some updating for the rooms with price being charged !
Good
Beautiful hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly
Great place will definitely use again
Perfect
Everyone in this hotel goes above and beyond and makes sure every single guest’s needs is addressed. Everyone is amazing but just to name a few names like Ahmed(bald-headed), Mostafa, Mohammed, Mazen, Ihab, and so many more. I am just mesmerized by everyone professionalism and knowledge and dedication. I would recommend this property a thousand times.
I had a great experience staying for the second time at this hotel . George the receptionist was a great help providing the room that we needed with “ VIP lounge access “ Qamar also showed us the options between different rooms to make sure that we choose the one that we liked .breakfast was amazing same as all the restaurants in the resort . I would go Back again an and again for the great customer service that they have . Dania Hajjar
Was great
This is one of the best stays ever. The hotel is incredible with great restaurants, fabulous breakfast, rooms spacious, pool fantastic, and the staff made it all worth the while, they were attentive and curteous so make sure if you stay here you tip them well. We took the airport shuttle and it made the airport experience very smooth you just have to arrange it with the hotel before you come. I was extremely sad to leave and will definitely come back here next time! This hotel is in new Cairo, far from all the sights but it's all new build, clean and traffic is easier on this side of town, the hotel will arrange a car for any trips you need or hire a private driver. I highly recommend this!
The service at the hotel was beyond expectations . Everyone was friendly from the moment we entered the hotel and we got welcomed by Mr. Mahmoud Adly whom we have known through the hotel over ten years ago and since then we decided not to try staying anywhere else in Cairo other than the Dusit because of the pleasant way he treats us during our stay . I really can’t believe that he didn’t forgot us even though we visit every few years . I can’t thank him enough for his kindness and professionalism and getting everything ready for us before our arrival . We didn’t take a moment at the reception as everything was already done which amazed us . Rooms were very clean , had every in them , very quiet at night , and people were very pleasant and friendly . I would also like to extend my thanks to all the team who work at the pool, the restaurant, and the business lounge for their manners and professional way in treating their guests no matter how we get upset they were still able to absorb that and responded in a very kind and professional way. Thanks to everyone for everything .
I enjoyed the view and meal
Dusit stay very enjoyable
Lovely hotel, big spacious comfortable rooms and bathrooms, nice pool (bit cold but hot weather makes it fine), breakfast excellent, restaurant range great, check in and out very easy, staff all very friendly and smiley but service can be very slow (might wait 40 mins for a drink, similar for the bill even if ask three times) but seems city wide (relaxed culture maybe) and sometimes you can tell staff keen for a tip. Did put on the Premier League football for us when requested and helped look for a lost necklace. Hotel location was great for us, near airport and family, but distant from pyramids and souks and museums. Generally very good. Spa is next door and was sold out for four days ahead.
.
👍
Great location and amazing swimming pool with hot top jacuzzi A couple of comments should be developed 1- service around swimming pool should be started early in the morning before the starting time of day to avoid guest bothering 2- porkiny (covering swimming suit) should be avoided because this is not the best for hygiene of the swimming pool Other than that, all things are perfect 👍
Great
10/10 all round!
Don’t know what to say than utter amazing service, and experience. All the staff members were incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. Very much recommended and would come back when visiting Cairo again!
I had a very great stay at this hotel, the staff was extremely helpful and professional... helping you to the maximum without asking. In addition i want to thank Mr. MAHMOOD who is working at the reception for such amazing service
The property itself is really nice but unfortunately, the staff were beyond incompetent which ruined my entire stay. I had booked two nights (paid in advance), but due to Visa complications I had to delay my stay. I emailed the hotel and they confirmed my reservation had been changed. Upon checkout, they attempted to charge me one night's penalty stating that it was a condition of my reservation being changed in the first place. This is not at all what was agreed upon. 3 different people harassed me at reception and they continued to call my room past midnight on my final stay. It is quite shocking that a hotel of that quality hires people who are this incompetent and unethical. I certainly would not stay there again. There is no value in what you pay by any standard and I have been to 108 countries and travel 6 months per yer. A completely terrible experience.
Very good hotel with nice staff in a convenient location.
Stayed at room 2255 with a great pool view and access, woke up to greenery, birds chirping, and lovely sunshine
Had a great experience. Would come back to stay here for sure.
Very nice place to stay
Return stay in Dusit Cairo
This was my second stay in Dusit Cairo, the hotel is a calm oasis in the midst of a bustling city. Food quality excellent, friendly staff and great facilities.
Great
very disappointing
I was looking forward to staying at this hotel and was put in a pool side courtyard room. Unfortunately, this room was one of the worst I have stayed in for a long time. The roof was leaking from a broken pipe. I was sat outside so only noticed after a while - after it had leaked into my suitcase and soaked most of my clothes. The floor tiles were either chipped/ broken/ or loose. Plug sockets were hanging out of the wall The towel rail fell off the wall whilst I was having a shower There were no lamps, so you could have total darkness or all ceiling lights on. I complained to the staff who were just not interested. My flight was delayed so I had to extend one night, I insisted on a new room and explained to the reception staff that my room is terrible. The response was 'yes, those rooms are better in the summer.' and then still charged me $300 per night. I would not stay here again
I had a pleasant stay. Nice and big rooms, friendly staff, prime location, and easy accessibility.
old, poor quality and poorly cleaned facility
it was short stay and difficult to judge in fair way
Excellent lobby, Pool, and dining areas, I have to mention how appropriate and honest the staff were , the night staff found my wife lost purse, she hadn’t realize or even report it , there was a lot of money in it and that’s a real good thing
one night trip
very clean. helpful staff. breakfast is not good, very few selection.
The hotel is beautiful however staff members need to understand the meaning of a do not disturb sign. It means DO NOT DISTURB. 5-10 minutes after placing the sign constant knocking on the door, I expressed that I have a DND sign and still the knocking kept on going and to top it off they kept calling the room to get my attention. All because they had sent me the wrong adapter for my American plugs ( which took at least 4 phone calls to get the staff to understand what I was asking for) and they wanted the wrong one back. I get it you need it back but understand the DND sign is obviously there for a reason when I expressed my concern to the staff members they didn’t seem to care they just said ok. This property was recommended to me by multiple people but I don’t think I’ll be staying here again. The couples massage was amazing.
Amazing
Good dtsy
My go to hotel in Egypt when i travel for work, close to everything. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Yess the food is so fresh however you won't find traditional Egyptian food like Molokhia there haha
It was under construction
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nice and clean hotel, with large rooms that are very inviting and accommodating. Large bathrooms w spectate tub/ shower and glass partition from tub to room so you can watch tv. Power shade provided privacy.. quite unique! Only drawback did not know about hotel entrance “renovation” taking place that detoured yes to the back side of the hotel. Overall great experience!
Big hotel
The hotel is so big and I had a very far room which made my stay not so comfort, Such a big hotel and they have very bad breakfast, this really made me disappointed and it was nt only my opinion all the group. But the team were very nice.
Over priced!
Over priced hotel, should be 3 stars not 5!
Business trip
Nice hotel with good level Of service
Nice stay, pools and relaxation in New Cairo. Hood service and classy hotel overall, a bit overpriced too.
The staff were very rude, and did not honor my changes requested through Expedia. They charged me $854 for a single night stay because they counted the first two of three days as no shows, despite having requested the changes through Expedia timely that should have remedied this. To make matters worse, i needed to stay a second night and they charged me another $300 for that. The final straw was when they showed up at my door on the final night of my stay, with a security guard telling us to leave, because our stay had expired. They made a mistake and misread their own records. I would not recommend this hotel if it was half the price. It was the most expensive place we stayed during our whole vacation and by far the worst. Very, very rude staff as well.
I arrived at 11:45 AM . I went to the 1st receptionist , he asked me to go to the other one . I went to the other one , he told me the room needs sometime . after 15 m I got it . The room had two flies . When I had a shower in the morning , the water was all over the place outside the bathroom . I went to have my breakfast , the waiters were drained and did not bother to offer anything . I had to bring the forks, knifes and spoons . One more thing was the cleaning person next to ATM Machine down the hall , every time I go there to change money he was spying on me and cleaning around the machine . So weird !
Lovely evening at tierce
Beautiful hotel, very clean, staff is friendly.
Family trip
Very nice hotel. Restaurants are very good specially Tao.
Did an extension. Could not do that direct by the reception. Had to go through Hotels.com to get a good price. The hotel has a very inflexible approach and rigid management procedures. All others OK but not any special.
Great service , wide rooms good hotel amneties and nice restaurants. Location very convenient
There is noting unique about the property as it is normal. The staff service were coming to the room on regular basis and they monitor every single movement to me and my guests which promote me to find another place. the staff are not professional especially the receptianist as well as at the swimming pool. Some fighting at the pool with the hotel staff teams together. They donot allow guests to enter the room during the day which makes me loose business. actually, I donot recommend non-egyptains to stay in this hotels as the international hotels have the same rules and standard while in Egypt there is something else running far from the professionality.
We enjoyed our stay in Dusit
We had some issues with the hotel’s cleanliness standard during COVID-19 the only precaution the staff had was the mouth masks that’s it but entering cabins with shoe and without cover shoe and many other in hygienic acts, couple of room defects which had to be fixed while we were in the room example the electric curtain motor had to be changed .but overall it was a good stay , food also is very good
Hotel staff were terrific and helped with every question or issue . Ashraf Mahmoud , the Chief Concierge , was of immense help . Mohammed Hany was helpful at the front Desk . Florence Ong at Guest Relations helped us a lot . Very nice and professional people there . Thank you
Hotel under renovation, for the price per night condition was not acceptable. Water dripping everywhere
Not far from Cairo Intl airport and service airport pickup went flawlessly . Hotel staff at check in were very helpful and couteous and comped us 2 mornings of buffet breakfast for the stressful day we were having .
Clean and organized .. There is difficulty getting to the room .. There are restoration works inside the hotel.
Great
The hotel was fine. I stayed there before. Everything was as expected. They seem to have been over booked and they have me a free upgrade to a suite. But honestly the best thing about this stay, was Hotels.com. I did mistake with the dates of my booking and it was non-refundable. I don’t know how, but they managed to get me a booking for the correct dates with the same rates. Thank you guys a bunch!
In this hotel, there was a construction in the lobby that made the entire area full of dust , bad smell, and noisy . And outside on the terrace the exhauste gave as well a bad smell that irritated people senses.
Mainly it was good< only the sound of air condition was so high
Good location for my needs but quite a distance form central Cairo.
Perfect business stay hotel in cairo
Hotel is fantastic, i would strongly recomend for business travel. Checkinn/checkout takes time need to be quick however staff is friendly and supportive. Property is well maintained. In good weather lot of outdoor venue to spend time. Food was excellent recomend Tao restaurant.
The atmosphere at the place was very vibrante and relaxing at the same time. I loved it
Nice clean room Staff is always helpful Great breakfast
Staff was not kind and things were promised that was not delivered. It was my wedding and expected to get what was said as we were paying a lot of money there.
Bath tub that can be seen from the bedroom or cannot be seen. Having that choice was neat
Nice but basic
Nice lobby but basic rooms Good location
Nice place to stay - not enough to do outside the hotel ! You could not go for a walk in the evening etc.
Beautiful place... slow check in despite confirmed reservation
Staff training is needed in this property, while the intentions are good, they lack the proper training to solve problems
The property is well kept, gardens are very nice, pools are beautiful. Nice area around the pool. Restaurants in the hotel, are Superb!
By far the best hotel in Egypt. Perfect location, excellent staff and service, very friendly management and front desk (especially the supervisor was super helpful and kind), the hotel is grand and spacious, the rooms are very comfortable, the restaurant options available are among the most popular in Cairo, and the spa is also top ranking in the country! An impeccable hotel and fantastic experience 🙏 I’ve decided to make Dusit Lakeview my corporate hotel for every business trip.
Always a pampering experience, Asian hospitality in egypt
Noce
Nice
Business trip to Cairo
Nice modern hotell. As you would expect it an breakfast had a good selection.
It’s a nice hotel but too expensive for the average service that they offer. Won’t go back again.
Good Hotel for Business - once wifi is sorted.....
A decent business hotel for work in the New Cairo area; It is also a popular venue for weddings, so the ground floor reception area can be noisy on some nights. My main issue was the wifi in the bedroom - it did not work properly for 3 of the 4 days of my stay. I had to go to the reception area to send emails and surf the internet.
Not as excepted
It’s normal , in swimming pool we asked for towels it never came , we call room service for water it came after an hour maybe , air conditioner was not efficient, receptionist was very good ,car parking tecket guy was very silly as we are staying from his pocket
The location is pretty good.not all the staff very friendly.i was not impressed about the food.the carpet in the room has a smell.night time there was a nice music band.
Be careful
It was a good one, but staff are not honest and cheating
Awesome hotel great stay made my trip to Egypt an amazing experience.
Large hotel close to the airport
We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, the room was not clean enough and we had to ask for water and shower gels to be provided, we had no reobes in the room (not great for a hotel that rates as 5stars). However, hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We had a trip to Giza pyramids with Ahmed and it was a highlight of the trip. Overal, overrated hotel, wouldn't give more than 4*
Rooms needs more care and maintenance...cleaning need more attention...but room furniture are getting unstable
Very shocking !! The bed matetrs is terrible ... furniture is very old .. room is overused
I love staying in dusit hotel, I may come back for
the staying in Dusit Hotel was amazing, in every thing Reception helpful in check in or check out, cleanness food rooms .....etc. except it is some how a little far from the city center.
Confusion on Check In!!
I booked via Expedia - which was 5 nights only be told only 1 night had been reserved. They would only except the full rate for the other 4 nights!as it was early morning - no point in arguing !! Getting into the room the TV was not operational / the kettle failed to work. Basically NOT a good start. The last time I stayed it was a pleasant event , everything worked and went well - let’s hope it was a ‘one off’
Great location
I liked the enterance but I wasnt impressed with the room. I didnt like the bathroom and it wasn't very clean or in tip top condition. I stayed four nights at the fifth floor, three of them were very noisy from the music. Couple of things I asked for weren't available. If youre looking for location near by everything in its neighborhood then its a good choice,, and 20 minutes from the airport. I don't find it good value for the money I paid.
Horrible staff communication
We made reservation for the buffet restaurant in the hotel and they confirmed the price for each person four times by four different people but at the end they charged us twice as much for each person and when we asked about it they all refused to help and said these are the prices Take or leave it. We had no choice to pay and leave. Staff were rude and no mannor.
Luxuary hotel
Love this beautiful hotel in Cairo, Egypt. Mostafa the concierge was so helpful and accommodating. He arranged my visits to the Festival City Mall with pick up and drop off transportation. He also arranged a must-see tour of The Great Giza Pyramids. Ask for Ahmed Halem for your personal tour of the Pyramids.
Nice hotel and pool
I m a regular guest where I ve visited Dusit Thani almost every year since 2014. My concerns are about the cleaning stuff they became very bad moreover they do not clean well the rooms. For breakfast and the quality of food also was changed, last year was really Better
Expedia charged me double the asking price of a walk in customer, on non refundable reservation.
Great Location
Nice Neighborhood. The front desk manager was of a great help.
Food very good, clean and spacious rooms, staff friendly.
Staff are the weakness
Good hotel with inattentive staff. It's very hard to have them do their basic job like check out, order a drink in lobby, etc. seem to be busy but doing nothing. We had to go to get a staff member to come to our table anytime we wanted to order something. Staff ability, dress, and manner do not match this grand hotel. Please train your staff properly.
Ok Hotel but not a great experience
I had somewhat disappointing experience when I arrived. For a couple of hours both the wifi and the TV were not working, even after calling the staff several times it took them a while to fix it. This was my first time coming to that hotel and I heard a lot of good feedback about it but the first impression was not at the level I expected. I visit Egypt once a year and try to have my kids enjoy their short stay but that experience was not great. Not to mention that when I reserved the room I wasn't aware that the main pool was under construction and I was surprised after arriving. I'm so disappointed to do this reservation and end up with this experience and had to deal with construction at the site while I was not informed before making the reservation.
Wonderful Hotel from all aspects. Room is spacious. Although, the breakfast menu is every day the same, but I have enjoyed it. Overall, the hotel is fantastic.
Best Hotel for Europeans (Bar etc) in New Cairo
Stay there meanwhile during all my trips to Cairo, friendly staff, great SPA rooms are far away from festivals and bankers and therefore quit
Beware overpricing when booking this hotel.
Beware of this hotel. They charge you 45US$ for breakfast if you include it in your reservation and it cost only 300 EGP (15 US$) when you buy it at the hotel. When I was trying to discussed about that unfair pricing they were very arrogant blaming Hotels.com and expedia for this overpricing breakfast and in the end it was my fault as I could have reserved room without breakfast online? You understand how they are trying to fooll people whenever they can, so very poor attitude for customer service? During winter time hotel is cold, stuff speak poorly english and are arrogant, so I would not recommend to stay in this hotel.
The hotel is nice , but the staff are terrible
The room service is very slow , and the front desk staff and management are not friendly, I wish they have used staff with some customer service experience , it would have made a big difference, Life guard on the pool is not wearing swim suit !!!!! Should be a five stars hotel but managed by a two star hotel management.
Beautiful hotel near AUC campus
We chose Dusit Thani due to its location near AUC campus. We enjoyed the pool area, the lobby lounge, and my daughter had a massage. We had a wonderful experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful facility. Clean room with fridge and a nice balcony overlooking the second pool. Free wifi. If your activities are going to be centered in the New Cairo area, this is an excellent choice.
I'm disappointed of how things changed..
I've visited the hotel when it was first established and it was super comfortable and clean and great for value. But this time I wasn't that happy. The room was comfortable but not as clean as it used to be. I can see that most of the other guests staying at the hotel were not of the same social class which seemed a bit chocking for me. I couldn't go to the pool because I was being checked out by everyone, as if I was a weirdo for wearing a bathing suit while alot of women were wearing the burkini thing. There were LOTS of children. There was a belly dancer by the pool at night and the music was SUPER LOUD, I couldn't sleep. I reported this to the reception several times but they did nothing. And when checking out the receptionist insisted that my reservation did not include free parking although it did and i showed her my reservation, so after debating for a while she finally said she'll add it on a complimentary basis which was provocative for me so I insisted that she wasn't doing a favor, and this was my right, so she gave the free parking ticket. In general, unlike what the hotel used to be, it cannot b more than a family hotel with a very low social class standard, not a very friendly staff, with a "not bad" level of cleanliness. So definitely not for a solo traveller,or a quite comfort stay, at least during summer.
So relaxing
