No wifi

Hotel advertises wifi but has none. They have changed to a quarantine hotel and attempted to refuse to honor reservation. We had to be very insistent

Emergency Stay.

It was an emergency stay and they took good care of my parents. They returned from the US after many attempts and as soon as they arrived in Cebu it was locked down.

Enjoyed my stay here.

Quaint hotel with friendly staff. Not the easiest place to find as it's set back from the road and located on the second floor. Still, once there enjoyed the stay and had no problems whatsoever.

Close to all amenities like restaurants, malls, and entertainment areas.

Difficult to find. Room was specious and clean but offered no view. Breakfast is a choice of two meal, no buffet. No amenities except foe for airport shuttle. Bathroom is slippery if wet and its a high step to get in and out of the tub. If i knew what the hotel looked like crim the outide i would have booked elsewhere. There is construction going on all hours of the night and a night club is near by so forget about sleeping at night.

Need elevetor

It was not a perfect stay but I have nothing to complaint about. If there were any flows these are situations that you experience in any 5-star hotel. Staff were polite helpful and courteous. Even the shuttle driver was very helpful. Kudos to you guys.

Cozy and convenient

Place was clean and very reasonably priced, but the service (especially at the front desk) was very nice and accommodating. Close to the airport with a free shuttle.

Room was good nice and big. but it would be nice if they have simple things, simple but big help like a clock for their foeign costumers to see local time. It has a complementary drinks but if you want tea or coffee you have to ask for a kettle, it doesnt make sense why they didnt have it inside our room for easy access. also need a good toilet seat, it was wobbly, falling appart and too small for the toilet bowl itself. Nice breakfast but too bad we found a bug on our bacon. Overall it was a good stay we didnt take it too much of a deal because we we're just staying overnight.

The price was right and its a good place to sleep, however its not a very nice hotel, and the hotel is located above a gay club/bar. Location near a mall but far from everything else (including the airport).

The room was very clean & comfortable. The people were very nice & helpful. The tub was very soothing. The hotel shuttle got us to the airport right on time.

Lies

I stayed four nights in a pleasant room. When I had to stay a fifth night my room was changed and I was told the aircon was just turned on and was warming up. The attendant Lied. The air conditioner never became cold all night. Otherwise my stay was pleasant. But they wouldn’t do anything about the aircon or a better room!!!

2 nights at Dulcinea

The rrom we occupied is spacious for two people. However the water pressure is low and the way the bathroom is set up.. there will always be pool of water on the floor outside the bathtub after a bath. Another thing .. there is no dining area, the food is delivered to our room everyday. The food is good though and the delivery is on time. The hotel lobby is found on the third floor, no big deal just that it was not explicit in the information provided. Overall, a bit pricey. There are accommodations with better offerings but at a lower price.

We liked everything ,especially the in room free breakfast and hot water shower ,the staff are very friendly ,helpful and attentive

I had a speedy check in. Staff was really accommodating and very nice. I was blown away by my room. I booked the king suite and i can tell you that the room is huge , the bed is so comfy.You get the best value for your money. The only downside is no elevator. But the staff was very helpful and carried my luggages(they're very heavy) all the way to 2nd floor. Will definitely stay in Dulcinea again.

Hotel evaluation

I don't like the location. it's on the 3rd floor but no elevator. Service is okay, breakfast is better than other hotels and the room is spacious so with the bathroom. The building is not very clean.

We got what we paid for. Nothing fancy or luxurious just the basics with good staff attitude and manners.Breakfast was ok. The airport pick up and drop off was ok as well. We will not hesitate to go back there and enjoy Cebu. I would like to give special mention to the lovely ladies in reception, they were very accommodating and friendly.

Dulcinea hotel excellent choice for airport.

A very nice functional hotel right across the the street from a very large shopping mall, a 711, and a McDonalds. Not to mention a busy shopping area in general. A good breakfast was served along with a nice clean room. This hotel is very close to the airport with a free shuttle. I will stay here from now on when flying into and out of Cebu.

An okay hotel

Lobby on 3rd floor so have to carry up the stairs. A 5min walk to Gaisano for restos and shopping. The view of waterfront is marred by many shacks. It's okay for the price.

Very nice hotel, rooms are big and staff very professional.It is on a busy road so if u need transportation u can get. Walking distance to a mall and there lots of places to eat. Granted there is no elevator to get to the 3rd floor, but if you got lots of luggage, like we had, staff. security are more than happy to lug it up, thanks guys! Free breakfast was great and delivered to your room. I would for sure recommend this place if your staying in Cebu.

Value for money.

The front desk ladies are helpful with smiling face. Does not provide bottle water in room but can request water container. Free water from water dispenser at lobby. House keeping is disappointing as complain the hand towel had stain and request to pay! Breakfast is pre-order and deliver to room. I book for two person so entitled two sets of breakfast even on myself. Will stay again when come to Cebu.

Not bad... Quiet, except for the rooster.

The room was clean and spacious. The staff friendly and supportive. Food choices for the location were not very convenient unless you like roasted pig from a street vendor in front of the hotel.

The rooms are ok and comfortable for a short stay, the staff were also very friendly and polite. What it needs is a form of mechanical lift, like an elevator, for guests with heavy baggage.

Short leisure break in Lapu Lapu

Lovely room, spacious and clean and very nice breakfast served to the room. The complimentary airport pick-up was much appreciated, specially as my flight arrived 90 minutes late. Friendly helpful staff.

the only bad thing is the wifi connection been on/off continuously. the rest is just perfect.

Pros and cons

Pros rooms are spacious and quiet , staff is nice and friendly price is fine, close to main airport and supermarket/shopping Center. Cons they serve breakfast, 2 main choices, but no restaurant. I can’t say about other rooms but our had a quite bad smell and had to buy few ambient deodorants. Apparently they couldn’t move us to another room..

Beautiful hotel in Lapu-Lapu! The only issue may be that the roms are on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Other than than, you simply cannot find fault with an 800 ft room, king-sized bed, full bath, and free room service for breakfast!

Not so nice

The website touted free airport shuttle, yet we had to hire a van to pick us up twice. The second night it rained and there was a leak in the ceiling right over the bed. Got wet! To both of these complaints the hotel staff just said sorry but did not offer any concessions. Lastly, this hotel is on the 3rd floor and there's no elevator.

We couldn't use the bath as the plug was broken and no TV reception only local channels room smells of cigarettes

Nice hotel/ no elevator

Check-in process was fast and commendable. The staff was extremely courteous and promptly responds to our requests.. All suites/rooms and reception desk are in the 3rd floor with no elevator. Bringing the luggages to our room was no problem since they had plenty of help. We chose Superior room, with free breakfast and shuttle. We re-booked on our return after our mini vacation in a nearby province. We were surprised we got upgraded (same price) to a family suite..

Nice hotel. Questionable Area

Decent hotel. Good value for my money. The view towards the water was a bit of a shock.

No elevator

Nice hotel but no elevator. Requested shuttle to pick up at airport but no show. Had to get a taxi ride. Breakfast is good and staff are friendly. Bath tub in the bathroom is placed too high and not good for people with short legs iif getting a shower.

Great for a quick, hassle-free layover

A great option if you're looking to stay somewhere near Cebu airport for the night. The suite which we were kindly upgraded to was well-appointed - appreciated the bath - and there was a mini-mart located conveniently at the ground floor of the hotel entrance. The hotel also offers a complimentary airport pick-up, just arrange in advance of your arrival.

Highly recommend for the hotel

Fantastic hotel, room service and cleanliness was amazing. Can't pick any faults. Just one little problem with the area .....oh my god its getting a taxi on the busy main road is horrendous. Ended up getting the jeepnees and believe me they smaller here in Cebu then in Manila. So if you over 5.5ft good luck ha ha !!

Great for a stopover if you're flying out the next day - a short uber ride from the airport. Generous breakfast served in the room. Large room. Nice view over the river.

Room was exactly as described in photos, which was a pleasant surprise. Large, clean and well- equipped. Almost as good as some 5 stars I have stayed in. Great king-size bed. Helpful and on-time driver to airport.

Bed bugs

I am covered in bed bug bites after one night. Hotel appears fine, but bugs are hungry.

Good hotel, the recipient was cheerful. The room was clean. The most exciting thing was that I could watch movies.

Shuttle service does not exist slight bug problem

Stayed in room 304 right next to the front desk which was also next to their kitchen area for the breakfast serving. There seemed to be a small bug problem on that end of the room if any juice glass was left on the counter. Also don't count on the free shuttle service to and from the airport. It's basically not there was told I would have to wait for the driver to get there both directions and would have to wait 45 to 60 mins for him to arrive. Ended up just taking a taxi both ways.

Comfortable

Very comfortable bed ,clean room and quiet , the only downside was the hot water was not working in the shower/ tub at the time of our stay .

Disappointed with Dulcinea

The staff were nice, but the location I don't really liked. We stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights, but I don't think they changed the sheets, they only iron the top.They don't have good choices in their breakfast and sometimes they served cold! I saw a few roaches in the bathroom. The tub is dangerously high to step in and out of.

Stay in Mactan island.

Overall, It was okay. I am not sure if stay there again, though. 1. Breakfast is served at room. At least I like it as I do not need to change for BF. But You must hand over a request from one day before. You won't get it otherwise. 2. A kettle is not at room. You need to get water(cold and hot) from the dispenser at the reception. I like coffee so I cannot count how many times I said hi to reception. 3. There are small cockroaches..... yea.. in the bathroom. 4. The staff is friendly and efficient... Whenever call, RA came to our room quickly. 5. The location is good as there is minimart in front of building and shopping mall is on the opposite side of the road. You can get a taxi without uber or grab. 6. Free transportation service from/to airport comes in handy.

The suite was spacious, with living room, a study area and king sized bed. I slept well and relaxed. The room seems noise proof.

Bring and plan to use SOUND CANCELLING headphones

Sleeping was almost impossible --the Karaoke Club across the street was VERY LOUD in till VERY LATE --

Room too dim. Can't do office work at night

The room is too dim at night which is very hard for me to read and do some work. They have no reading lights. Then lobby is too small which when many guests arrive, the area get congested. I suggest they extend their lobby too.

There is no more restaurant, so you have just room service and say a day before, what time you'll be awake for breakfast. To sit down in the room is just an armchair and a normal chair, on a luxury stay I understand something different.

Best deal on mactan

If you don't need a swimming pool you can save at this place. The menus and info brochures need to be replaced to cleaned well.The shower can turn the bathroom floor into a lake if your not very careful. There was only warm water. Avoid the recommended restaurant streetside in front of the hotel. You can experience fine dining for near the same price.

Nice View

It was a very nice hotel at a reasonable price, but there is no elevator and it is on the 3rd floor. I was going back to the U.S.and my 2 checked bags were big and heavy. Also the stairs are not inside, so it was a hot humid climb. I did have a spacious room with a nice view of the harbor. The service was good. It was also across the street from Gaisano, which is like a Philippine Walmart, so my wife was able to stock up on a few things she cannot get in the U.S.

Shower is probably need to be emprove.

U NEED ELEVATOR

Less than 10 mins to airport but cleaniness is bad

In 7 minutes (*without traffic jam) you can reach the airport. It is convenient location with some food places even at late nights if you want to grab a quick bite. But be mindful of safety and dress like a local because it can be very dangerous on the streets at night. I like the friendly customer service but I am shocked that nobody cleaned up my room. The breakfast I had during the day was left in my room till night when I came back. The toilet had some rust and is not entirely cleaned. Toilet is quite important to me and I rate it as 2/5 stars.

A bad try in a good location

There was no airport pickup or drop. The Air-condition seems to never work properly. No room services. So it was a bad choice.

Great stay for a great price

Very surprised at how nice the hotel was considering the location. Needed a affordable hotel close to the airport but when we pulled up I was a little skeptical. But when we went inside I was very impressed with the hotel and staff.

Ok hotel

It was a Nice hotel. The taxidriver was not sure where the hotel where, mybe the most negative With the hotel, that it was not very well known. The hotel sevice was Nice and very polite. Mybe some noises in the reception in the evening, but for my purpose to meet some friends it was ok.

hmmmm maybe try somewhere else next time

this hotel is ideal for somewhere to stay close to the airport - however next time i will try the hotel opposite the airport ( i think it is the casino hotel) the dulcinea is small but clean. the airport shuttle service was never operated and the breakfast is very limited and not that good. i only had a coffee as not much left and what was left did not look that great. the surrounding area is a bit strange with what appears to be a girlie bar in front of the hotel and a suspect health spa next door. i would look at other hotels close to airport however this one was reasonably priced so would stay again if other alternatives were too expensive rooms are clean and comfortable

No HOT Water

Hotel is a third floor walk up - no elevator. Rooms have big beautiful bath tubs. We had NO HOT WATER two of our three days stay. Included breakfast was very good.

Not so good

Location was isolated so you are completely dependent hotel services. All needed services were available but not so good. Breakfast and outside swimming pools (chlorine purified) were good. Beach was so so, quite small. Service was not good, in front desk, we have to wait to get room after 3 pm. and when you complain it they were offering downgrade on the room.There was many better options on the island but unfortunately all reserved so we end up here...we couldn't recommend it to anyone..

A perfect place for a few days.

I had a superior room booked for 6 nights.Got an early check in,which was fantastic.The room faced the front,there was a little traffic noise at times, but overall nothing to keep you awake.The room size was perfect, great bed (very comfortable) and i liked having the bath for a relaxing soak. Water pressure on shower was low,but ok.Plenty hot water at any time.Breakfast (Included) simple, but adequate selection. Overall staff were very very pleasant,Free shuttle service,I rate it very good value for the price. Would happily stay here again.

I just ended staying in the Dulcinea Hotel for several days, and I am 100% for sure I will definitely stay in this hotel this hotel again when I return to Cebu. There are many reasons for returning. The first is a very comfortable and large bed. Next would be a nice little restaurant on second floor that serves a modest but very tasty breakfast (free with the reservation), a staff that is as nice and attentive as can be, and a house cleaning staff that really cleans and keeps the room nice. They even iron the sheets and pillow cases. On top of all this the rate was excellent with the discount. This is not a three or four star hotel, but I have been in some four stars and five stars that do not have as comfortable a bed. The Dulcinea is not plush or offer useless amenities one expects in a highly “starred” hotel, but what the heck. If you want an excellent, comfortable, conveniently located, clean hotel with a great staff and a good rate, STAY HERE! Some minor flaws. The pillows could be softer, so if you like a soft pillow, bring your own. The water pressure is adequate, but not strong. I found the tub to be slippery, so be a bit careful. Convenience is also a plus. It is across from the Gaisano mall, which is average, but one can take a V-Hire from the side of Gaisano’s Mall to SM, which is quite a nice mall for shopping. Cost? About 50 cents. In Gaisano Mall there is a restaurant called Mang Inasal. Order the spicy chicken. GREAT!

The experienced with dulcinea hotel was just good the problem of our room in this hotel is the toilet.The water in the shower was so low and the water heater is not working. But they have the best bed that we never had in other hotel (expensive hotel).

First night only shear on my bed had to ask for blanket second night my bed was made u again with only a shear the third night my bed wasn't made up shear blanket folded up and left on my bed for me to make up my bed will not stay here again

Fantastic and close to airport

I stayed at this hotel the last two days of my trip in the Philippines this hotel was in a very conveient spot close to shopping and the international airport for the price this cannot be beaten.

Overwhelmed, when I realized it was on a third floor without elevator and bell boys, but the security officers where very kind to take my suitcases to the floor. But the room was a pleasant surprise, it was large, clean and comfortable, overlooking the river and the bridge and the lights at night was very pretty. Unfortunately, They were doing work with fire escape during the day and it was noisy the 2 days I was there.
