This hotel has a hotel meets air'b'n'b vibe in a great way. We stayed in the big 4 bedroom suite which had 3 bathrooms and a kitchen. Awesome location as we never got in the car after we arrived and parked.
Great hotel with a very modern design. The heated pool was excellent and check in process / amenities were convenient.
Great property!! We loved EVERYTHING about it. The only reason for the 4 star was because the streaming function wasn’t working and they didn’t have enough complimentary coffee for all of our days.
Excellent spot
Not a fan of the dirt-stained mirror in the private bathroom. Felt unnecessary. Wish there was some other form of storage to put clothes away but not a deal breaker. First time at the hotel and it was a great experience. Will definitely be staying again.
Feel better than home! Very friendly and efficient communication. Will definitely visit again soon!
Not only incredibly clean, but the service is very welcoming and quick to check in.
Lovely rooms and great value. But comes at the expense of service. All communication is virtual, and there was very inconsistent response from staff. Issues with TV and nobody solved it after asking for two days. Asked for refill of coffee and nobody did it.
We loved everything about Drift! We stayed in a two room suite over looking the pool, with an incredible view of the mountains. The entire vibe of the room was right up our alley, and we enjoyed the patio and hanging chair. One thing that really stood out for me was the fully stocked snacks and drinks...all reasonably priced, no insane price gouging like you find at most hotels. Location is perfect for Thursday night street fest, shopping, and dining; parking and check-in was a breeze. Also, the room smelled amazing. We found out after check-out it's Drift signature scent and candles were available to purchase...definetly will be purchasing on our next visit!
Great place, very spacious and clean. Loved the room and its view. Loved that the fridge had an ice maker and grocery outlet was down the street. Only thing that I dislike was the showers water pressure but other than rhat everything was good.
Three complaints: No onsite gym, suggest to partner with close local gyms for a discounted rate or package rate. No small towels and didn’t know how to request new towels. Room had an adjoining door. Could hear the neighbours like they were in our room. The last night was awful, they were being super loud, dragging furniture across the floor and were up till past 1am. We couldn’t sleep and had to put on noise cancelling headphones to drown the noise out. We should've been placed or upgraded to a different room w/o an adjoining door or be refunded the last night of our stay.
Excellent property- nice big rooms, modern. Online checkin and checkout. Nice swimming pool. Highly recommend
Amazing property with really good staff. My only irk was the walls are super thin. We had a lot of noise from the room above us. No complaints about the hotel
Okay...a real front desk person, please
There were loud young women next door and it was difficult to fall asleep. The lack of a real person checking me in caused problems - emails claiming I didn't send the right ID and selfie, for example. All of that wouldn't be an issue if a real person was at the front desk.
Our experience was great . We arrived at 2 PM and our room was already ready. We love the fact that there was a kitchen to cook as well.
Great friendly staff and virtual concierge as equally amazing..
Amazing
Family trip for 1 night. Hotel was gorgeous and Modern and clean. Check in was a little unclear and wonky
My husband and I had an amazing 2 night stay at drift. Everyone we came in contact with were so nice and professional. Loved the hotel itself and the pool was perfect. We will definitely come back!
Great place.
Great room, great location only downside was WiFi but overall it was great.
Check in was a little rocky but the hotel made up for it! Such a cute gem and was very clean. A wrap around porch that had a direct pool view! I would recommend.
easy check-in and lovely property!
Great hotel - clean and comfortable.
Awesome
This hotel is not for the “normal” hotel guest. Be advised, you will have tiny bathrooms (in the studio room) and the mirror is antiqued (little brown spots all over the mirror) so you will not be able to see yourself to get ready. There is no closet for your clothes or shoes, the shower is fine but water will splash all over the floor and you will have to wipe everything down so you do not slip and fall. The AC unit is the type you might see in a very old property (individual units per room) not central air like we are all used to the last 50 years. There is no office, so you have to text all your communication to a nameless staff person. There is no housekeeping. If you need something, you have to text for it, and maybe you will, maybe you will not get your request taken care of. I would skip over this one and go to a regular branded hotel - Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, etc.
Will definitely be back. Perfectly located to shops and restaurants/bars (walking distance). The room was amazing and the bed was soooo comfy. If I had a couple critiques it would be cushion's for the seats on the room balcony and a more generous pour for drinks as they were quite pricey. The staff were friendly and personable. Other than the (very minor) suggestions, Drift will be my choice anytime I’m back in PS.
Strong smell of room spray, gave me a headache. Staff was accommodating. Loved the free parking. Actually liked the concrete flooring. Minimum staff, never saw anyone else around hotel.
I loved this motel. Just be advised that they don’t service your room unless asked for and if you pay a fee. The service was great, and everyone was so friendly.
Elegantly simple room with a nice view of the mountains. Restaurant and pool were convenient and fun.
KARAM WAS AMAZING !!!! ANESA WAS WONDERFUL MADE US FEEL LIKE HOME
The rooms are spectacular, pool was clean and warm, service was incredible! Can’t recommend this hotel enough
Views from living room and empty properties near by and no late check out available
The staff were very accommodating and communicated promptly for my requests. The rooms are well stocked with the exception of storage space for clothes. I don’t understand the concept of hanging your clothes on exposed hooks and having nowhere to unpack your clothes but find it increasingly a design choice in newer boutique hotels. Anyway I really like the property and the location- the pool is very nice and seating seemed to fill up quickly so get your loungers early. This was an incredible value for what you get and I appreciated the free parking right outside my room. I would definitely consider booking this hotel when revisiting PS.
Convinient for down town
First, the suite was unbelievable! Not only was it huge with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths but the modern, sparse style was very asthetic. I loved that there was lots of food and drink for purchase in the room and it was all reasonably priced. Self check in was a bit of a mess and took too long. There were two staff members sitting at the bar on their computers big they had to get a manager to help figure out why their system wasn’t recognizing the Expedia confirmation number. Then they wanted to charge me again even though I’d paid Expedia so I showed them my receipt. The pool was ok, not great and even though the manager saw the kids jumping in the pool, splashing and using water guns, he did nothing. The pool wasn’t relaxing because kids were out of control and they let too many people in who had used Resort Pass and not paid for a room. . The walls in the room are thin and it was extremely noisy. We heard a kid running upstairs for hours. There’s no one to help with your luggage; it’s all do it yourself. The bar style was cool but overall not enough staff working. The best thing was the room. We didn’t even want to go out because it was such a large room which was nice since there were 5 of us and we had been squished in other hotel rooms. We ordered Postmates for dinner and ate in. I’m not sure we’d stay here again because $1000 is a lot for a suite considering everything else wasn’t up to par.
Clean. Modern. Well designed. Hotel was perfectly located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Really walkable. Great pool area. Free self parking was a plus! We would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay!
Great hotel and bar! Centrally located by downtown, easy access!
We totally enjoyed the hotel, very chic!!
Fun vibe, great location, check-in a bit off.
Very hip downtown hotel. Fun vibe and great location. Just a bit odd to check in standiing in the middle of the restaurant with someone on an I pad?? Why not a little desk i the corner somewhere?? The precheck in process was a bit of a nuisance and ours got very convoluted with two rooms reserved. Overall, I would return and tell others the same.
Fantastic experience. Frequently visit PS, first time at the Drift. This was easily our best experience here at the Drift. 10/10 recommend! Amazing experience
The hotel is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and approachable. The esthetic of the room was great however there were a few items we felt are essential for a hotel. Storage in the rooms was lacking. No closet and drawers requires us to have open suitcases on the floor. No towel hooks at the restroom sinks made washing face and brushing teeth awkward to find a towel on the wall behind you, one full length mirror in the living room was not ideal for 8 women getting ready to go out in the evening. We really felt each bedroom should have its own mirror. The last recommendation would be to have a larger toaster oven. Again in a four bedroom suite it is safe to assume preparing food for a large party would be happening. As well as the coffee drip. We literally had a line waiting for the first cup of coffee. Otherwise our stay was great
Great location! Beautiful rooms w comfortable beds & furniture plus I could link my phone to the TV!
Smart design, clean, easy parking and close to shops and restaurants.
Staying here made our trip!
We had the best time here. Our room was stunning, more space than we needed, and pool was amazing. Staff were kind and Maleza was lovely. Will absolutely stay here again
We very much enjoyed our stay here. A couple small things - the a/c in one bedroom was dripping water overnight and the missed a stain on the toilet seat. Everything else was clean, functional and very nice. Great location.
Property was great . Need a makeup mirror as the mirrors in bathroom are speckled. No microwave . Toaster oven only
A big step above a normal hotel room.
The property has bare concrete floors and bare bulbs for lighting, I’m sure this is a hipster cool thing but does not make for comfort also it was very austerely furnished not even a chair to read in. Probably the worst feature is lack a front desk or person on the property. The $40 a day resort fee was laughable. This is a motel of last resort.
This is absolutely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Palm Springs! It was truly serene and wonderful, and the staff are incredible! The rooms are dreamy!
Drift is the quintessential Palm Springs experience. Effortlessly cool. Close to all the shopping and dining and drinks you could ever want. The rooms were expertly appointed. Can’t recommend enough.
Very spacious. Big balcony. Great pool area.
We loved this place and would go back to stay in the same room. Lovely and tasty details. Living space could be more comfortable, less spare. Wish they created space for recycling. Loved all the amenities, although the coffee could be more plentiful and tastier.
The property was amazing. Nice sized rooms and beautiful pool and dining area. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Rooms were very clean and tone of restaurants and bars walking distance
Apartment was great as far as size, layout, cleanliness, etc. But a lot of stuff that would make sense to be there was not there. No closets, no microwave, no simple condiments (salt/pepper), kitchen was just not set up very thoroughly.
loved it
Perfect place!
Soooo amazing! Rooms soo pretty. So many amenities I didn’t even think we needed. Filtered water, ice, pour over coffee, every room had its own bathroom. Robes, beds soo comfy, everyone so nice and attentive. Great location - right downtown, walking distance to everything.
Condo hotel at its best. Great location. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Minimalist decor. Hope it keeps it up.
Great stay, minus hidden fees
We had a great stay. Mind you there is no front desk, so check in is coordinated via text message. The room was clean on arrival, but there is not maid service during stay. There is also $40 resort fee per person that is not advertised until you go to check in.
Great place!
Our stay was wonderful and facility great! Only comment is that for the two bedroom two bath, there was only one lounge chair and a sofa for four people.
Our party of four fell in love with this place! We traveled as a group of four and stayed in the four bedroom unit. Every inch of this place was meticulous. The design and landscaping was lovely and the pool area and restaurant were favorites of ours. We used the complimentary bikes one day and that was fun! We would travel to Palm Springs again just so we could stay at The Drift again.
Love the clean modern design and the relaxing atmosphere.
PROS: Comfy bed and pillows/modern beautiful rooms/lots of towels/wonderful bath products/super friendly service/spacious 2 bedroom suite/strong blowdryer/great location/fabulous pool and cacti garden. We had a late check in but the staff compensated by offering us free drinks which we enjoyed by the fire pit! CONS: There are only 2 hooks in each bedroom for hanging clothes. It would be nice to have a dresser or a closet somewhere to store clothing/mirror in bathroom is beautiful but you need a magnifying mirror somewhere/ kitchen is gorgeous and minimal but it would be nice to have some scissors, salt & pepper, and some dishtowels. We loved this hotel and would recommend it regardless of our list of cons
This is a very welcoming place. We really enjoyed our dinner too!
Great Hotel
Great boutique hotel and excellent location to downtown Palm Springs!
Great friends trip
5 friends stayed in one of the 4 bedroom suites and we had a fantastic time. The rooms had great space and the beds/linens/showers were all wonderful. The location couldnt be better. Every staff member we encountered was super helpful and friendly. The outdoor space is great, we really liked the firepits in particular during a cooler season. A larger concrete hottub for winter season would make it perfect. We loved the kitchen equipment as well and used it daily. A few notes as to why i didnt rate it excellent. Whoever chose the bathroom mirrors doesnt wear makeup or contacts because they chose spackled mirrors? Very bizarre, they were essentially not functional. There are also limited hooks and no where to dry towels. We had to hang them on chairs. There was also no furniture or clothing storage in the bedrooms. The suitcases went on the floor and we piled clothes on the floor too since there are no dressors or stands. A minimalist look is cool but there also needs to be some improvement in functionality of the design choices. Could also consider having smaller size seasoning/condiments for the kitchen. We requested salt and pepper which was quickly brought to us (amazing service) but having easier access to some cooking staples would be super helpful. We would absolutely come back and i would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very nice and spacious room. However, you have to have a smartphone to stay here. No live help except when you first arrive, a young person meets your car and your room number and code to get in is texted to you.
The staff was absolutely amazing.
Staying on the ground isn’t advisable.. could hear the heavy walking from upstairs at 5am. Maybe they need some carpet and ask the guests not to walk with such a heavy steps
Really good but could be better!
Amazing rooms - some of the best i have ever stayed in. Great location. Pool area is lovely. Only think that lets it down is the lack of any staff. Online is ok in theory but sometimes you just need a desk to go to to speak to someone! It wouldnt put me off staying again but the service does let it down slightly. When i am on holiday round the pool i dont want to have to go into the bar to order drinks, but there was not any poolside service most days we were there.
Comfort and convenience
The Drift hotel was well designed and the suite was great for a small group who eants to be in the heart of Palm Springs. The staff was very friendly and checkin was very easy. Rooms had everything you would need for your stay and has a ton of addiotional items stocked for purchase which adds to the convenience.
Love the layout of the room and all its amenities !
Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely amazing place to be. Loved the staff, the hotel, and the rooms!
the property was perfect for our stay. The staff was awsome and very accomodating, they even gave me a upgrade as I had requested a Balcony. Would definately stay again.
Very modern approach and works surprisingly well. Quality food and cocktails. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved our space. It fit all of our party comfortably. Only downside was the parking. There weren't enough so we were lucky to find street parking. I know there is a parking structure across the street but we didn't feel comfortable parking across the street in a public parking space.
