A small number of units is good. You need a hire car if you want to stay at this end of Port Douglas. Magnificent gardens.

Out of town; can walk to the beach which is quite & hardly any tourists there.

Dream catcher apartments is a comfortable, quiet and cosy getaway, with the magnificent 4-mile beach a stroll away.The local host John is warm, polite and accommodating.Higly recommended.

My stay here was amazing! Was perfect location for the Finish of the 4th leg in the Marlin Coast Challenge. The place was spacious and all amenities provided. The pool and spa was a great way to relax the muscles after the long drive from Brisbane and after the race. I will definitely be back and highly recommend thank you 🙏

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, quiet, romantic and nothing is too much trouble for the owners if you have any issues. Highly recommend staying here.

Really exceeded our expectations. Very large room, very comfortable and close to Port, lots of amenities and a 100metre walk to Four Mile Beach. Room was well appointed and quiet location. Happily stay again next time I'm in Port.

It was very central to any where you wanted to go great places

Enjoyable stay, close to beach with dining and bar opposite. Little bit of maintenance needed but nothing to detract from a nice stay.

Beautiful property, loved the feel of the place and the staff were amazing

The staff was amazing. I broke my foot 2 days before my holiday and traveling was a challenge. The property owner and staff were the friendliest I’ve encountered, went out of their way to assist me and even gave me rides around town when needed. The property itself was like a tropical paradise. Away from the crowds of the city center but near restaurants, bars, and the beach. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit port Douglas but want to avoid crowds

Away from the hustle of Port Douglas centre

We had a lovely stay at Dreamcatcher. Close to the 4 mile beach. Good walks close by. Friendly and cooperative staff.

Tropical setting in handy location. Well furnished. Excellent pool. Undercover parking inadequate.

Run down property. Had a few rainy days there and used blanket which smelled of other peoples oders place was neat but not hygiengly cleaned. Some lights did not work, kitchen windows curtains were fryed, pool did not look clean enough to swim in..

Perfect location for us. We wanted quiet, away from hustle and bustle. Shuttle bus into town was only a phone call away. We had all we needed especially being so close to the beach. Highly recommend.

This was our favorite stay in Australia! The room was spacious, and it was one block away from the beautiful beach. Its a quick 5 minute drive into town with lots of amazing restaurants and shops. We loved our stay!

Comfortable apartment but quite dark inside. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay there. Good wifi and easy parking. Good restaurant across the road.

A beautiful brightly coloured unique beach style apartments surrounded by lush tropical gardens and swimming pool. John the manager was very easy to deal with. You felt at home as soon as you walked in. The Four Mile Beach is at the end of the street. Transport easily accessible from right out the front to take you into town or take the 45min stroll up the beach. The kids enjoyed having their own space in the adjoining apartment. It was a 5 Stars from us.

The property has beautiful landscaping, and is very close to the beach and restaurants.

Didn't like anything Very poor conditions ,wasn't clean coffee machine dirty ,Tv wasn't working .Remote corroded and batteries covered in acid.

Good sized apartment . Needs renovation , showing age . John is perfect host . Would book again 😀.

Owner was very helpful, allowing us early check in, help with bags and advice. A big apartment with good wi-fi. Very good value. Good kitchen facilities. Very happy.

Chilled out oasis

We very much enjoyed our 4 day stay in the Dream Catcher. Our room was spacious, and had 2 balconies overlooking the pool and gardens. The atmosphere is really layed back and the facilities are great. It's 50 meters to the amazing beach and there are bars, restaurants and cafes in walking distance.

5 days pure relaxation on Four Mile Beach. Loved being a little out from Macrossan Street. Al quiet little oasis.

The setting and surrounds made this place unique and homely

There were bugs which was bad but since it’s summer that I kind of expected. Pool didn’t look very clean b the apartment was really good.

The apartment was lovely and the area stunning. John is a lovely guy and a wonderful host. Had a brilliant week at Dreamcatchers and would most definately go again. Very happy on all counts

This property is right next to the one of the entrances for the 4 mile beach. Literally, its a two minute walking distance and you are at the beach. Across is the shuttle bus stop that runs every 15/20 minutes and will take you downtown for $8AUS round trip. Or you can drive downtown and a approx a 3km or 2 mile drive. The property itself is nice. Spacious room with full kitchen and living room. The owner was super nice. We had locked ourselves out once and hadn’t realized it until we got to our excursion so I called him and he told us to enjoy our day and call him when we get back so he can let us in. There is a tavern and the Beach Shack restaurant across the street from the hotel. Both are local spots that are affordable compared to other places in the town. FYI, most reef excursions will pick you up from your hotel upon booking :)

Nice decor, spacious apartments with plenty appliances. Relaxing environment with a tropical landscape. Property manager was accessible at all times and friendly. Definitely recommended.

Room not what was advertised, and a/c and fan not.

Booked for three people, but got there and room had only one bed. The booking was clearly made and confirmed for three adults. Had to pay extra for a second room, which had no functioning air conditioning and a malfunctioning fan. Made for unpleasant and uncomfortable sleeping.

The property was handy to the beach and the Outrigger Canoe Boat house although some way from the Port Douglas CBD. It does have a shuttle passing the door every 20 minutes. Our ground floor apartment was spacious well equipped and suited our needs. Accessing it past the outside smelly bins and cleaning gear wasn't great but beyond that it was ideal inside. The undercover Carports are a bit small but they do provide off street parking although we couldn't open the doors once parked. A bit of shuffling sorted that out.

Perfect and affordable location near beach

My hubby and I stayed in the deluxe studio apartment which was perfect. Besides for the workers next door who decided to start banging from 7am, our entire stay was perfect. Close to town, right on the beach, decent sized apartment. We didn’t use the pool but it seemed small and cute. Would def stay again. Highly recommend

Spacious, close to beach, nice pool & garden.

Enjoyed a comfortable week's stay. Ideally located only 100+ metres from the four mile beach and 7 minute drive into heart of Port Douglas (local shuttle bus stop right outside). Friendly and helpful host. Would happily stay there again.

Apartment was very spacious, bright, nice deck big enough to sit and read Located very close to the beach I had a car, but location is bit away from central Port Douglas, only 5 mins drive John was extremely helpful, always immediately available. After some successfypul fishing, he obtained an esky and ice to help me get my catch home to Melbourne. He also coped with. Me loosing my key at a late night cabaret show, letting me in after midnight, with a smile , not a growl.

Obliging manager

Stayed for a week in late August . Beach ok for walking but fair way from protected swimming beach . Coffee and restaurants nearby 4km plus to town centre. Pool was smaller than imagined.

Relaxed sanctuary

The dreamcatcher apartments are ideally located close to beach. It is a quiet little sanctuary that is brightly decorated and comfortable. There is opportunity to relax by the pool & enjoy the peaceful tropical garden surroundings. Superb!

So good we didn't go out

What a great place to stay - brilliantly planned around the artistic pool setting, great colours and brightness - all the amenities you could want in a spacious apartment.. A fair way into Port Douglas shopping centre (4 minute drive) but a pub is across the road and an excellent restaurant around the corner. 100 metres walk to the beach. Yep, would stay again if we went back to Port Douglas

Spacious Relaxing Apartment

Loved staying here! It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The pool area was lovely and it was in a great location close to the beach.

Nice apartment just a short stroll to 4 Mile Beach

We stayed in one of the spacious studio apartments that featured a lovely balcony. Dreamcatcher is in a nice sheltered leafy location adjacent to the lower end of Four Mile Beach. The Port Douglas town shuttle bus stop out front, however I would recommend travelling by car for convenience of seeing local attractions and main town precinct is some 3-4km away. Had a friendly greeting and introduction from the site manager on arrival. Comfy bed and good spacious bathroom. The general condition of the apartment and complex was clean and tidy however attention to the meal area was a bit lacking as we felt the need to clean all utensils and cupboard interiors before use. Given the good size of the apartment the kitchenette was only basic. Only one burner was functioning on the communal BBQ which caused some inconvenience one evening as we had to make other arrangements for cooking food already prepared. The free internet was great. Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay at Dreamcatcher

Close to beach and takeaways , bottleshops and bar

Reasonably good value for money. Our unit we had, had poor hot water supply. Manager made out we didn't know what we were doing on how to use a hot water tap. Funny that as I've never had any trouble with that anywhere else in my whole life of living on this planet. We put up with it , but intermittedly had only warm water sometimes. Sometimes not hot at all so struggled to do the dishes in the sink. And yet other times there was plenty of hot water. Maybe a problem with tempering valves I think. As I've done a bit of plumbing myself over the years and also found tempering valves are sometimes a hit and miss thing. Too higher input temperature can effect their performance. Apart from the water problem we would rate it as a comfortable place to stay , its nice and quiet , close to beach and also buses stop right outside the place which is very handy for going on the day trips offered at Port Douglas. The units are very spacious and have good air circulation and air cond.

Great home for a family holidays.

We were extremely lucky to have been upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment - this was extremely kind of John and we are very grateful. The location is perfect - 2 min. Walk from the 4 Miles beach, in a quiet street. Kids loved the pool, and in general we had a wonderful holidays. John is so very helpful - he is genuinely interested that guests have a good time. He gave us great advice in choosing a Barrier Reef tour, went and bought a new DVD player for our kids to watch a movie, and in general was very kind and knowledgeable. Would totally recommend his place.

We got upgraded for our stay - which was AMAZING! The room was so spacious and the service was second to none. The whole process was so easy! It's such a nice quiet location, we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the Dreamcatcher. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. John was only too happy to help with our enquiries. Excellent proximity to the beach. The only thing that let it down was the pool, which we felt wasnt clean enough.

Quiet tropical paradise just out of town.

We had a great stay and enjoyed staying at the smaller resort/apartment than some of the massive packed resorts nearby. The pool and gardens were lush, and they lit up at night for a great atmosphere. I would recommend hiring a car as its a couple of km out of town, and its easier to get to the various activities around Port Douglas and in the Daintree.

We found the unit spacious and adequate for our requirements,and being only a short walk to the beach,made it even more attractive.There were some maintenance problems which John corrected with a minimum of delay and inconvenience.

somewhat disappointing.

We booked 11 nights as we wanted to stay in one spot the whole time during our holiday. Booked a Luxury 1 Bedroom which is advertised with a King bed, however on arrival we were shown to our room and we discovered there was only a queen bed. After speaking with the manager and being told that is one of the luxury apartments we said why is it advertised with a king bed then on the website?? Turns out that was not the apartment we had booked and that there was some mix up and that the luxury apartments had been double booked some how. He did move us to the correct apartment after a couple nights and then said we would have to move back to the first apartment for the last 3 nights again. We ended up asking for a refund for the last 3 nights to go stay somewhere else with a King bed. After checking with him twice and being told he had refunded us we left and then checked the following day with bank & wotif to find no refund had been processed. Luckily Wotif contacted him and sorted it out. A part from this the apartments are in a quite location (not in the centre of town you do need a car or catch the shuttle into town) and homely. A bit more of a regular cleaning roster for things like fridges etc mite need to be considered as the fridge in 205 smelt terrible and I actually went to supermarket to get stuff to clean it out and try get rid of the smell with Bi Carb before even putting anything in it.

Ok but no return here for us.

Huge potential that has been lost in ageing rooms, appliances and bedding. When they say King bed it should be a King bed.

Wonderful and so quiet

Had a great four night stay and the apartment was wonderful. Large apartment and very short walk to beach. John was so helpful and when asked for a few thing (locked key inside apartment with John going to get key and holding it for us and the loan of a european to Aus power plug), he had no hesitation in helping out. Highly recommend staying here. Don't be put off by distance to Port Douglas central as there are many many shuttle busses and vans that will take you and drop you back at the apartments for $5 per person.

Great apartment, very close to the beach

Nice apartment in a great spot, literally 1 minute walk to amazing PortDouglas beach. Very clean, air con, free wifi, kitchen has cook top and microwave. Very friendly and helpful owner. Fold out bed provided for my daughter.
