Belize family trip
It was great nice and peaceful hotel with great room view.
Gorgeous and exquisite property, every meal was delicious and served by the nicest staff, and our room was amazingly beautiful. I would recommend Dream Valley to everyone!!
Carmen was great and super helpful! Just need some more signs leading to hotel to help people find! Amazing service/ food/ hospitality.
Property grounds are beautiful
We truly enjoyed the quiet, peaceful serenity of the police in jungle, listening to the parrots other birds, howler monkeys, and the meandering Belize river.
Lovely
This place is kind of genius. There's something about the juxtaposition of sitting in the middle of the jungle at night and dining like you're in a metropolitan city (my compliments to the chef). The rooms/bathrooms/patios are massive, with hammocks, and the pool is clutch. Everyone on staff is sweet and attentive. The road to get there is a little bumpy, but think of it as part of the seclusion and charm.
Every thing was excellent the whole stay. Such a unique property with bridges that run from one end of the resort to the other. Absolutely beautiful property, clean and well taken care of. It really was a dream. I stayed in one of the suites that had the jacuzzi on the porch overlooking the river. The restaurant and staff were also wonderful. This was a solo trip for me and actually ran into 2 other single woman there at the same time. It felt very safe so would be a great option if single and not sure where to stay. It couldnt have gotten any better and would love to stay with them again. It even had a smart T.V. which is important while I am traveling alone.
This was a great place to unwind and relax. Our cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. Pools were great to cool off in. The location is great if you have a car as it is close to allot activities… Art Box, tubing, zip lines and Belmopan. The road in is a little rough but not to bad if you go slow
This was a fantastic jungle location. Our room, the owner suite was excellent. What an amazing view. The jungle comes to life in the early hours of the morning. Great staff and food at restaurant. Will do room service.
Belize Castaways
We arrived unexpectedly with 30 other WestJet passengers stranded due to the tropical storm. The staff was amazing! They made sure everyone was well taken care of. Last minute organized incredible buffet style meals for everyone. They even accommodated sever food allergies for someone in our group. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very clean, outstanding staff.
Dream Valley's location is beautiful and the cabins are spacious. We had a rivers view cabin and it was great to sit on the private patio and watch and listen to the wildlife (tons of birds, howlers moneys). Pool is great. 2nd time we have stayed and would stay again.
In the heart of a tropical storm Dream valley had an influx of guests they were not expecting. They quickly pivoted and got 45 unexpected guests checked in, planned meals and even had welcome drinks for everyone. Throughout the weekend staff members worked long tireless hours to make sure all guest were taken care of, even though their own houses were in danger of flooding from the storms. We are forever grateful for all of the staff at Dream Valley for taking the stress out of a stressful situation for everyone who came from Belize when the storm closed the airport and accommodations were hard to find. Thank you is not enough! Highly recommend this place for future vacations.
A hidden gem! We stayed in cabin 1 near the pool. Clean, fantastic size and great service
Beautiful serene property perfect for a very quiet getaway! Staff is very friendly and helpful!
Peaceful getaway in the jungle
Very amazing secluded place along belize river. Cabins were huge with nice bathroom and comfy bed. Facility is lush with beatiful trees and plants. The staff was amazing and helpful. Pool is huge and clean. Would definitely stay again.
The property was family oriented which was the goal of our trip. We enjoyed quality time with our family (whether in the pool or playing fuse ball). Note worthy from our dining experience was fresh meals and natural juices prepared for us by the friendly staff!
Went for our Anniversary, and it was perfect!
Great place to relax
The staff was amazing! However, the accommodations and the restaurant were very overpriced for what they offer. The rooms are set up weird, with the bed on an elevated area (where all the heat rises to). The couch was uncomfortable, and the TV didn't work right. Maintenance around the property was terrible. The trees are all covered in dead palm fronds and need pruning, and we were locked out of our room for 45 minutes because the deadbolt was rusted and wouldn't unlock. The restaurant is expensive with average food at best.
A gem in the jungle
I stayed in a King room with a garden view. I was looking for a solo getaway where I could just relax in comfort, swim, and eat a restaurant on the premises. From the moment I was greeted by Tania and Darcy, I knew that I could not ask for more. Once I took in the unobstructed panoramic view, I was so delighted at having found this place. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed was super comfy, water pressure in the shower was great, and I was steps from the pool. Air conditioning was much appreciated and needed. This place meets, if not surpasses, the standards of an American traveler. Note: This cabin was further from the main building and restaurant, where there are river views and another pool, but I wanted to save money. I highly recommend this resort if you want luxury in the Belmopan area. I would suggest paying extra for the river view units if you don't want to, or can't, walk up and down a trail path.
The staff is absolutely amazing. The pools are very nice, the food was excellent. We would definitely recommend staying here.
A truly lovely lovely place. Hard to find at night for sure but the staff was really helpful.
Truly unbelievable stay. One of a kind jungle experience. The food to the room was incredible.
Everything is in USD, which I can't understand since this property is in Belize. The price of food is RIDICULOUS ( mediocre steak for almost $60 USD) and definitely not worth the price. The road to the property is bad, so it's not easy to run into the village for cheaper and better options for eating. If you're staying for a few nights and dint feel like paying $100 US pretty meal for 2 people, then I suggest making other arrangements for eating. Other than that, the property was beautiful and so peaceful. Howler monkeys passed through in the early morning and that was the highlight of our overnight stay! The cottage itself was lovely. It gets a bit chilly in the river valley at night. We couldn't get wifi in the cottage, so it's a great place to disconnect and experience some solitude. The staff were luke warm, at best. We definitely did not get the impression of feeling welcomed and accommodated. I don't think this a place I would return to again.
We really enjoyed a quite and relaxed time there with a beautiful view of the Belize river surrounded by trees that attracted lots of birds. Staff was most helpful and professional.
We really enjoyed the place
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was easily accessible by (rental) car and great central location to Hummingbird Hwy and San Ignacio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lovely location tucked in the Belize jungle
Absolutely beautiful! The staff were amazing. Carmen was so sweet she told us where to go for cave tubing because we rented a car and did not need to go in a tour. We also got up early every morni g and the staff was kind enough to make sure coffe was ready before 7. I would highly recommend this place so peaceful, friendly and beautiful. Thank you Dream Valley!
Amazing property! The staff was attentive and super friendly. The property itself is a hidden gem off the main road. It’s a log cabin feel in the middle of the jungle. I would highly recommend this property. I washed we stayed longer.
Great customer service, the food was actually the best I had in Belize! Nice remote location. Everything I had hoped for and more.
Jungle paradise
The drive leading up to the resort was a little rough and we were unsure of what to expect. But, upon arrival, we were in amazement at the beauty of the property and the comfort of the rooms. There was so much to see and do that we wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were amazing! We loved being able to canoe through the jungle to see the monkeys and all of the different birds. The only major critique is the slowness of the restaurant, but the food was excellent quality.
Probably the most tranquil resort I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were so friendly. If I ever visit Belize again I’ll stay here again for sure.
truely a dreamy visit.
Friendly staff, who all were helpful. They happily answered all our questions. The welcome drink was delightful surprise. The rooms were private, not Hotelish. Dinner was pre-ordered, so no waiting. New concept, which worked great for breakfast, up and going. quiet, no traffic noise like our first stay was. Nice difference.
Great
Great place to relax, listening to birds and monkeys
The staff was phenomenal. Beautiful location.
Property is beautiful, the staff was always friendly and helpful and the cabin/rooms are very cozy, like a home away from home.
This resort is beyond amazing. The rooms, staff, grounds, food are all top notch. A true Belize getaway with every luxury of a 5 star resort at super reasonable prices. Right on the belize river, with boardwalk style walking paths from rooms to restaurant, spa, tours etc. Amazing Amazing Amazing.
The building was not listed as a hike to dining. Also the pool near the room was half full n pump broken, and room had no place to eat nor coffe/ tea pot aa desceibed 126 usd. Way to high. Requested a discount and was ghosted. Food was decent but you had to pre order food the day before and still was late. Way to expensive....
Beautiful location! Great service. Room was beautiful overlooking the river
Funky buildings! They are on the lagoon side of the peninsula. Pool and lounge area are beautiful. The location is 10 - 15 minute drive from the main area of Placencia not walking distance. The directions are misrepresented through Expedia and you’re contacted via WhatsApp to have correct address - which is inconvenient if you don’t have it.
The property and services were great. The hostesses were awesome. The bulldozer working out back could have started a bit later… the meals were just delicious especially the Cajun chicken 😀
The dirt road was bad and very bad.
A charming hotel nestled near the jungles, and it was an incredible experience. The proximity to the jungle allowed us to witness howler monkeys in their natural habitat, adding a unique touch to our stay. The staff's attentiveness was outstanding, ensuring our needs were met with genuine care. Overall, a delightful retreat blending nature and exceptional hospitality.
It was very tranquil, nice setting beside the river and jungle.
Beautiful site and rooms and got a nice upgrade upon arrival. Could do a bit better with customer service in the dining room. Appreciated the great service at the front desk, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
Gem of a place.
We had a magical time here. The room was fantastic with a very comfy bed and lots of space. The setting is truly magical and the service was exceptional. Our favourite place during our 3 week trip to Belize. Sweetened by the fact that it was really good value.
Loved this place
My son and I really loved this place. The rooms were spacious and super clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great place to stay when going to Tikal. Highly recommend
This is my second time at the property and I really enjoy the ambiance every time. Better attention by the waiters to those waiting long periods of time would be helpful.
Very nice, quiet, remote property that makes you feel like you are in the wilderness.
double charged for the room, room was musty smelling and I feel someone should deliver the luggage to the room as it was a very far walk for a senior citizen
Amazing staff. Everyone is helpful and kind!
Great place off the beaten track to relax.
Great views to the river. Very spacious rooms. They helped us with our ATM tour, overall very helpful. Restaurant can be a bit slow, but the front desk warns you about it. Food is basic.
Peaceful resort in a secluded area. Personnel is very friendly and the whole resort is kept in great conditions. Ony downside the 3 kilometers of aweful road to get there, once off the highway.
Wow. This is the most remarkable place.
Comfortable and unique
Very nice staff & service. Only problem is water. Sometimes no water. But they fixed very fast.
The place is beautiful for anyone who likes the outdoors we really enjoy the weather and everything that they offered. Thank you
I loved the property i was quiet and a great get away loved it
Our stay was way to short. Beautiful location and excellent staff. Do yourself a favor and order The Mayan breakfast burrito! You will not be disappointed
Very unique place setting is beautiful and cabins are awesome.
The rooms were very clean, bed was excellent
More food options
Super friendly staff they were amazing! It's located in the middle of the jungle on top of the river that crosses all cayo, Perfect to get away from everything!
Dream valley
Friendly helpful staff, great location .
We had an amazing stay here. It is clean and quiet. Everything was absolutely fantastic and the location is perfect!! The staff were awesome and the food was delicious!!
We loved this place! An amazing property with wonderful views! The staff went above and beyond!! Food was delicious every day! Beautiful and relaxing!! We will always have fond memories of the time we spent here.
Location right on the river was amazing.A perfect setting.Great restaurant onsite for all meals if you want.Close proximity to lots of activities and sites to visit.
The room was nice but the front door was difficult to open and close and the key kept getting stuck! There were hardly any staff in the resort ever which was unusual! Most communications were done through WhatsApp! There was nothing to do in the resort except a pool. It was very remote and extremely quiet! Not what I expected.
Home in the Rainforest
Perfect place to feel like your home in the Belize's Rainforest listening to the holler monkeys and birds throughout the day and night. Service / Restaurant: Good Local Belizean's local and seasonal fare overlooking their great lawn to the river. Cabins: comfortable, very clean with A/Cs (Suggestions: LED lighting, clothes hooks for jackets and bags, coffee maker in cabin) note: road dirt and lots of pot holes to hotel
Great property in a unique, tranquil and beautiful setting. They should improve the sineage to the property as it is difficult to find and warn visitors of the very rugged roadway.
Very secluded, which offers a unique jungle experience with a variety of wildlife and lush flora and fauna. Staff were very helpful, friendly and accomodating with all our needs. The accomodations couldnt have been more perfect. A gentle evening breeze along the rivers edge with great air flow through the cottage windows. 2 pools available at any time of day. Fine dining available onsite. Would highly recommend, especially for couples. 9/10 4.5/5
The service and accommodations were first class.
Staff was attentive and incredible!! Very very impressed
The scenery was beautiful. It took several hours for the room to get cool with the AC.
The staff was amazing! The casita was so nice and quiet. Slept like a baby. The birds singing, and the Howler monkeys in the distance, really made the place feel like a jungle paradise.
Family or Couple Friendly!
Amazing place to chill. The family cabin set-up is the way to go! Loved it. This was second stay at property. First as a couple and then as a family! It’s gorgeous! 💕
Clean and beautiful property in great natural area!! Loved this place!!
Friendly, clean and helpful. Worth the stay.
A Must Stay!!
The food and service were amazing!
Lovely setting. Attentive staff were helpful with getting us a quick delicious bite to eat and then getting us into our beautiful room. We were the only guests and found everyone allowed us to be very casual. This was helpful and made our stay enjoyable
Great place to leave electronics behind and chill.
We loved our stay at Dream Valley and the Staff made it a very special visit. Due to covid we were one of only two guests at the time of our visit so maybe we got a little extra attention. It is exactly as advertised deep in the jungle. Tranquil and beautiful. We picked it due to the proximity to the Zoo, And Nohooch Che cave tubing and zip lining and that worked great. The furnishings are rustic, so don't expect lavish. Although I will say there was an amazing amount of space and the bathroom was perfect blend of very updated while retaining that cabin in the woods motif and the bed was comfortable. But no dresser or folding racks for your suitcase, just shelves in the closet and LOTS of floor space. The large deck was perfect to chill on. The food was great and the scenery was fantastic. Having internet and a fridge (that was stocked no less) was a great plus providing us drinks right at hand. The pool was very well kept as were all the grounds and very scenic. There are other restaurants near by, but we mostly ate in. We did have one unfortunate incident where security inadvertently locked us out by securing the entrance gate at the front road before we had gotten back to the resort. It meant about about 20 minutes of frenzied calls and texts trying to get someone to let us in. Apparently being the only guests that night through security off and they thought the resort was empty. But other than that it was a very pleasurable stay and we would likely return.
Beautiful property in the middle of the rain forest with lots of neat sounds and experiences. Not exactly what we planed for but very enjoyable.
This place is absolutely magical. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, the food is delicious, and the views are amazing. If youre looking for peace, this is where you find it.
Property was a couple miles off the beaten path and qiite. Beautifully maintained and kept, and very clean. Staff (Tanya) was excellent. Wish we would have stayed longer.
Friendly service and beautiful rooms. Food was excellent
Beautiful property full of nature room was gorgeous
Amazing staff and beautiful property. Would recommend for a relaxing and scenic stay!
The Staff was wonderful and accommodating, the setting was beautiful with great views of the river and wildlife. However, upon arrival, we were told that the television service in the rooms and lobby had not worked for a while, and that the only reliable wifi service was in the lodge. I was able to get wifi in our room most of the time but not always. So it was a great place with the exception of the TV situation, and the wifi.
Dream Valley is a secluded ecolodge about 10 minutes by car off the main highway. It has great nature - the flowers and the river are beautiful! Rooms are nice and big, though a bit dark. Biggest issue we had is that everything on property is expensive - we ate all our meals off property in Belmopan, except for the included intercontinental breakfast (which was subpar). Additionally, the WIFI didn’t work well in our room (#1). For the price, we were expecting more.
Not worth the price
The hotel has everything that is descrjbed, on the river with a ton of privacy in the cabins. I was really looking forward to some nice service and drinks and that part fell flat. The bar area was open but no one would be working until you hit the bell and then someone would come up to assist. They were all very nice but there was hardly any vibe at all. We had dinner here one night and it was just awkward overall, although the food was decent, so the next night we drove about 40 minutes to Sleeping Giant and spent less money there at a much nicer hotel. I wish we had booked that hotel. Again, nothing wrong with our stay we just felt the experience fell flat for the price.
The hotel and setting was beautifull. So many birds to see and hear also the monkeys all around.Tv did not work, and housekeeping ccame in and turned off ac,so coming back to a sweltering room was dissapointing
Amazing Jungle Experience
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself needed a little maintenance. Minor things like the shower getting water all over the floor even when the shower curtain was closed. The sink faucet was loose. The property was very scenic. Right in the river and the canoeing and fishing was great. As a launch spot for rappelling in the Black Hole, visiting ruins, and cave exploration in the ATM cave it was very convenient. Restaurant options were limited but the resort restaurant was very good but a limited menu. They were very accommodating for special requests. The road in is a little rough, but you’re staying the heart of the jungle and it’s being improved upon. Met and exceeded all expectations. I’d definitely recommend this property.
It was very peaceful and they let us use there canoes to fish on Belize River for free. They let us watch movies in there theater room. Very nice people.
this resort is beautiful with great staffs. The place is on the river and hotel rooms/cottages and the board walks are elevated. Walking throughout the property is so peaceful with the sound of the jungle and howler monkeys!!! Resort has a really nice and large cottage feel lounge, the place is beautifully decorated. Pool views are EXCELLENT and the overall vibe is BLISS AND DREAMY. nice sunsets from our large patio area. Being above ground on board walks and wooden patios is an experience. Water sports are provided. Washroom and lodging is clean and spacious. Toiletries are decent/provided (no personal handouts like others tho). Overall, a great place to stay closer to the caves (ATM) and falls.
Excellent staff and service. Beautiful area and views. Peaceful retreat.
Amazing and beautifully appointed resort and rooms. From arrival to departure we were cheerfully attended to by the staff. We will come again but stay longer next time.
Lucy, Edmond and Tania were amazing. The place is a tropical paradise. I could live there!! My only gripe is, and I am nitpicking, is that I wish there were more dining/beverage options since the hotel is far from the city or any other dining options in the area.

Great trip
Wonderful property in the jungle ~ experienced howler monkeys and many birds in natural habitat ~ great trip
