A quality hotel 0nly 5min walk from lake and park and just a short bus or tram ride to town centre. Room facilities include a kitchenette.

Incredibly easy to get to from the airport. Short walk to the lake. I was very fortunate to have a renovated executive room which was airy, inviting, spacious, with ample storage and sitting/ writing/ breakfast facilities. The kitchenette was thoughtfully appointed.Travel pass provided by the hotel ensured seamless sightseeing and convenient food shopping at nearby coop and lidl ( good prices, fresh produce). *I had read a review above shampoo/ conditioner not being provided - and had packed my own. Note also that there is no hairdryer ( did not concern me but may be useful information (.

All the service was excelent. The people of the hotel was extremelly gentle and ready to help! The breakfast is very good.

Don't go when it is hot!

Hotel is nice, staff very good, but with no air conditioning on a 40C (90+) day, it is uninhabitable. Fans and open windows were no solution. Miserable night.

At first glance it was NOT What I expected, very worn down, things were broken. But after the first day or so it felt allright. It was clean and the staff were very nice. It was a very good location. Breakfast was ok.

Easy access to tram, buses, and train to the airport

Very upset after staying here. I could get over the dirty bathroom and very tired decor and facilities if the staff were kind and friendly but unfortunately that was not the case. I don’t think I have ever experienced such a lack of respect. On check-in there was a misunderstanding (caused in part by me and in part by the hotel). I apologised for my mistake but was treated harshly and not listened to. Since that point the hotel made mistakes and I was understandably frustrated. The last quote of my stay was that that they didn’t care that they were rude to me.

Good alround stay

At first I was worried about this hotel due to the previous reviews but actually I thought it was good value and was very centrally located. Something the website doesn’t state is all public transport is included for guests which was a nice benefit. Breakfast was also included. Overall a clean hotel that was good value with great service

The hotel room had one available plug point for the fan or charging the phone or laptop. Upon complaining to the reception that amenities were inadequate for the price, I was told to go someplace else if I did not like it there. Very rudely cut the phone on me. Overall the night staff are not necessarily solution providers - they don't have skills to deal with irate customers or provide solutions for guests. The morning staff however was helpful on other requests and were responsive.

I imagine that many online-daters often feel the way I did when I arrived at the hotel: whose photos were those? The hotel's neighbourhood is rather untidy looking (the hipster area known as the Paquîs) when you come from Rue de Lausanne. It improves a bit when you continue towards the lake. Overall I was disappointed, and certainly don't think it was a good deal for the money. The lobby looks dated and needs a renovation, the room was ok (also dated) but did not have air-conditioning, which was a big problem that night. The breakfast room is quite nice, but the breakfast itself rather frugal. As said, the neighbourhood is trendy, with plenty of restaurants, and might be safe, though certainly does not look so at night, due to the proliferation of loitering groups of young males. Bed was good.

Very clean, okay value for Geneva. Not enough plugs in the room (had to unplug a lamp to plug in my phone). Would have been nice if they had fresh fruit at breakfast. Also, the phone message light would not stop flashing and the did not know what to do so I had to disconnect and put it in the drawer (no big deal).

I have been going to this hotel regularly for the last 15 years and I will continue to go there in the future. The only problem this year was the extremely hot weather and the rooms have no air conditioning.

Nice room, great value, minii kitchen, but no AC

The hotel was a nice mid-range hotel. The room was good, and included a kitchenette, which I liked a lot. The staff were nice, and the included breakfast was quite a passable spread, not just coffee and a muffin as many hotels provide. This is a nice bonus in a city where eating can be pricey. However, the lack of AC was a killer. It broke 30 degrees celcius that weekend, and there is only a single small window in the kitchen. The balcony doors were sealed shut. I would have happily given a 4 star rating, but the combination of jet lag and hot room meant I wasn't sleeping very much. At least there was a little fan. But overall, a nice place, nice staff, good value. Out of the summer months, highly recommended.

Just average or below average hotel

This hotel is not very good value for money. It has a recent coat of white paint but it is very outdated. Room is just comfortable for a night stay. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room nor they have any room service. I suppose you are expected to look after yourself. It mertis two stars - probably lower three.

The hotel is just OK. Good wifi but breakfast is really bad.

Staff was terrific, and the room was clean and comfortable. I paid a bit extra for the "executive room" with a king size bed, and the upgrade was worth the small additional cost. The room was a bit edgy in design and decor, which made for a fun experience. The hotel is two blocks from the tram line, and like many Swiss cities all hotels in Geneva give a free metro pass to guests so getting around the city is very easy. I would recommend the Drake and will plan to stay there again.

Business trip

Very convenient location, free breakfast has good selections. My international flight arrives at 7:30am, and the hotel allows me to check in at the early morning, very appreciated. The hotel itself is a little old. Overall a great choice.

Nice people, nice place

I received a discounted stay, but the normal rates are actually quite modest (especially for two people) for Genève. The place was clean, my room had a kitchenette (very helpful), and I had a good night's sleep. The employees were very courteous, helpful, and efficient. Good location -- near the Lake, transportation, the train station. In all, highly recommended!

Functional hotel good for business trips

The room is functional also due to small kitchen! The mattresses are ok but not good. The location is very practical close to station, lake, restaurants and UN. The breakfast is not inviting and the breakfast room feels like in a youth hostel.

Great location, 5 min walking distance to Lake Geneva. Convenient tram location (#15) to/from central station (Geneve), walking distance to main bus station, as well.

Good hotel conveniently located

Stayed for a couple of nights. The hotel was good and very conveniently positioned. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I walked there from the station. It was good for public transport. It is in easy reach of the lake, which great for a swim. Would definitely use again

Well located hotel

Drake long champ is a friendly hotel in a great location, just 2 minutes walk from the lake. There are plenty of local restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and all speak perfect English (which is helpful because my French is embarrassingly bad) The public areas are modern and warm. The rooms are very clean but quite tired, it did look like some renovation is happening so hopefully this will include a fresh coat of paint and a new bathroom door in the bedrooms. I would have expected coffee making facilities in the room which would have been nice. The bar area was a little disappointing, it consists of a wine machine which you buy vouchers from reception for. If there would have been draught beer and a bar tender I would have been quite happy to drink there instead of going out All in all, a friendly little hotel that could do with more facilities. I would be happy to stay there again on my next trip to Geneva.

Avarage place, run down ,Needs some paimting and updates,needs new carpet. No internet service, They ask for payment to use internet 7 franks for 30 minutes or 17 franks for 3 hours.The internet in shopping center charge 4 franks for a hour.In Switzerland you need conector for electrical outlet other wise you cant use them .they are different even you are in Europe.In this hotel they want you to pay for them 6 franks . It will be better if they lend you one and you return them when you leave like the hotel I stay later on. The stuff was asking me to pay bill for a hotel even I book and pay on line.

Average convenient hotel

basic hotel for a short stay. Room old and needed a revamp especially the bathroom. It was nice to have a small kitchen in the room. Air conditioning would help. Cant help wondering if you could get better accomadation for this price.

Location is excellent, 300 m to the Lake, Mon Repos park area, 15 min to min to Carnavan railway station. Brekfast is nice, tasty croissants. Welcoming staff. Transport card available. Both French and Russian speaking lady Elena was very kind to explain the way to see the sights of the city and the transport to get there. Enjoyed my stay at the hotel, wish to come back. THANK YOU. This hotel is mid-range, central and reasonably priced for Geneva which is expensive.

I am comparing this hotel with the Steingenberger Herrenhof Hotel, Vienna, which I would give 4.9. This hotel is basic but adequate and very convenient to walk to the lake and to the centre of Geneva. Trams and buses ran within a few yards and the station was within easy access. I would give it an overall rating of 2.5 as the beds were very firm/hard and the pillows very thin. The breadfast were quite adequate but basic. There was nowhere to enjoy coffee or tea during the day other than on ones bedroom. The sitting area was in a corridor. The hotel was quiet .

Good thing about this hotel is that it has kitchen with every room. It has good location. It is 10 minutes walk from WTO HQ. It is also near to Geneva lake and also not far from Railway station. One bad thing about this hotel is that it does not have air conditioning which may cause problem in summer.

A konyha használhatatlan, a hotel kiválasztásakor egyik fő szempont volt. A szobakártya minden nap elromlott és vissza kellett menni a recepcióra, hogy újra aktiválják.A szobában egy használható konnektor van, a konyhában töltöttük a telefont. A fürdőszoba ajtaját nem lehet bezárni. Nincs légkondicionáló.

Gute zentrale Lage, sehr sauber, Zimmergröße angenehm, Parkmöglichkeit gut. Lüfter nicht ausreichend bei Sommertemperaturen. Eine Klimaanlage wäre besser. Duschen ist nur in der Badewanne möglich. Schwierig zum Ein-und Raussteigen (für ältere Personen ).
