Our room was very clean. The beds were the most comfortable beds we’ve had at a hotel. They even brought us a popup play pen for our baby to sleep in.

Nice place but the cocktail lounge was closed which I was looking forward too. Pool was very comfortable. Heated pool.

Customer service was awesome hotel room and lobby super clean top notch..But woken up the next day at 7:30am morning lawn care service cutting grass loud blowers and ect. I was at the 4th floor..

The rooms can have an update. The parking it’s very inconvenient. People don’t fallow rules in the parking lot. A lot of police officers stays there so you will be safe. I suggest to give them an area to park.

Always love coming back and our stay is better than the last. Goes without saying our first stay was exceptional.

Upon check in, we got to room and we noticed it was warm, we lowered the ac and left for dinner around 8pm, came back around 2:30am and the room was still hot, ac was not working, took another 20 minutes to be switched rooms. 2nd stay here and it’s the second time they have to move us because of ac issues. Such a beautiful hotel, but it’s inconvenient having this problem. Won’t be staying here anymore.

The hotel is okay. My room kinda smelled like smoke and had a weird stain on the ceiling (I hope it was ketchup). The bed was needing a better pad on it. So, meh. Better than some, but nowhere near excellent as far as property maintenance goes. Could use a renno and new mattress wear

Had to change the dates within 12 hours of booking and they wouldn't help or change the dates. Just took the money and gave the middle finger! It is hard to see a company in the service and hospitality business be so inhospitable. Never again!

The night is pricey to NOT include breakfast and not having at least some ammenities in the entrance like many other hotels do. Some refill water, some snacks included would make difference. The hotel is outdated, we used to go in other greater years. The only advange, is the space of the rooms.

Love this Hotel! Huge rooms, hot water, comfortable beds, just over all a home away from home. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here.

It was not good experience.room was not properly clean and shower door is broken and receptionist try to find the reservation and then try to over charged breakfast was included but they are trying to pay me for that

We love staying at this hotel, staff is always friendly. This time I gave a 4 on the category for comfort due to the bed mattress not being too firm. Usually, the times I stay here the beds have been pretty firm. The carpet was a bit dirty, had my grandbaby crawling and when I picked her up her knees were black which meant the carpets were not completely clean. Which I understand they will not be 100% clean.

Property location was amazing super close to the mall and many shopping centers, the hotel itself was amazing going up the elevator is so cool because of the view of the courtyard. The rooms themselves were super nice and clean, the room size was perfect!

I received a room with television that only works for 5 minutes, then the picture dies and theres only sound. I would have to turn it off and on to see picturea again. Since maintenance took a long time to report, they moved me to another room.

First room -bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all. I don’t think. Moved to a second room. It was full of cigarette smoke. Third room was clean.

Liked the big common space groups could hang out and talk. TV’s were nice to watch college football. Warm cookies are always the best!!!

I always stay at the Double Tree Suites when I have business in McAllen. Friendly staff, great restaurant and bar, close to the airport.

This place is pretty run down and desperately in need of a renovation. Staff was great but the rooms are extremely dated.

Mini Get-Away

We just wanted to get a hotel with a swimming pool and a little get away from the house. The hotel is still very beautiful, we liked that the pool was inside and away from the hot sun but would of been nice to get a tan if they had an out door one. The rooms are pretty big and spacious, with the living room area separated from the main room. The bed is very comfortable. Also was able to order a drink from bar and have it delivered to my room so that was nice.

Keep traveling

The hotel is under some type of a renovation , but that doesn’t mean the room needs to be dirty. There was lipstick on the light switch in the bathroom, garbage found at bottom of my bed. Just seemed dirty to me. I bet it was premium 20 years ago. Parking was limited near the hotel.

Love the place but it could use some managing

This place is always amazing. The place is very clean and neat. It’s relatively peaceful. The only thing this time around was the pool area. There were alcoholic drinks left all over the tables, multiple unattended teen children with some long water gun like toys, wet our phones, and belongings as we attempted to sit by the pool area. Also they had a very loud boom box. It was like a dance club and well, this isn’t the norm for Doubltetree. It was not a childlike atomosphere. Very messy and unkept.

It’s a good option for shopping. This used to be one of the best hotels in the area. However, now it feels very old. This time the room seemed clean, but found a used band aid and hairs in the toilet.

Stay at Double Tree because it was conviniente location and has indoor pool. Room wasnt clean at all, shower is too small, stay 2 days and did not clean the room even if I ask to. Hallway has dinner disher for the 2 days I stayed.

Perfect hotel to stay

No fueron a realizar la limpieza a la habitación argumentando que se “tenía que avisar” en caso de querer el servicio. Previamente nunca mencionaron esto al momento del check-in.

Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. What I was Unhappy about, was the lack of counter space in the bathroom.

The room is awesome. Two separate bedrooms and baths, a living room, and an area with fridge, sink, and microwave. The interior of the hotel is nice as well.

There were ants in my room.
