Outstanding Service and Support in a Challenging Situation I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Windsor Hotel & Suites and was deeply impressed by the exceptional service from the hotel staff. During my stay, I accidentally drove down an icy ramp in the parking area and couldn’t get back up. After calling CAA and learning it would take over an hour for assistance, I reached out to the hotel for help. The staff responded immediately and went above and beyond to assist me. They came with salt to melt the ice and even shoveled the ramp to ensure I could safely drive out. Their kindness, quick action, and willingness to help truly made a stressful situation much easier. While my car did sustain minor damage from sliding into a wall, I am incredibly grateful for the staff’s efforts, which ensured my safety and allowed me to resolve the issue quickly. I highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Windsor Hotel & Suites, not only for its comfortable amenities but for the exceptional care and dedication of its staff. Their support during a difficult moment made all the difference.

Excellent

The room was not as clean as expected. The chairs were old and dirty, the heating system was loud, through out the night some guests talked so loudly in hallways and that made it impossible to sleep. The overall experience was below average, but the staff members were friendly.

The beds (and mattresses) are dated. They make noise. The doors of every room make a loud noise. You may wake up in the night if your neighbors are getting in or out. Parking is not in the same building though connected, and parking is expensive too.

I like that the check-in was easy and the attendant was very kind and friendly. The room is very nice and clean. We have everything we need.

Great view and comfortable

The 2 queen suite was wonderful for our family of 5! It was nice to be able to put the kids to bed and still have a place to talk and watch tv. Beds are comfortable, pullout is not, but I guess that’s pretty typical! We enjoyed our stay.

Nice view of River.

Very nice place to stay! It’s very clean and the bed is very comfortable. This location Has a great view of the river and is so beautiful to look at in the night! Will return again!!

Loved the river view from our room!

Front desk didn’t pick up and housekeeping didn’t communicate. Needs do not disturb signs and microwaves in the rooms. The view was wonderful and the front desk staff was very helpful. Nice guys.

We loved this hotel. Friendly staff. Everything was very clean and modern. Gorgeous suite. Great view of the water and Detroit. It was a perfect spot for our mini getaway!

Great place - nice location - but the tap water came out white as milk. Really gross.

Nice place. The front desk staff weren't very nice or welcoming, but the room was nice. Do NOT believe them when they tell you that tou have to buy the parking pass. I specifically asked if there was a public parking option, and they lied to me and said no. You can park for cheaper in the exact same parking garage that you pay them to park in, especially if you plan to be out at all during the day. It was a rip-off

Very clean. Comfortable bed and front desk loaned me an umbrella to go out for a short walk to go out for dinner. Breakfast buffet was good fresh food with attentive pleasant staff. If weather had been better it would be a great place to enjoy the waterfront park/statue gardens.

Front desk staff friendly checkin was quick and easy . Hotel is very clean and modern . The in house restaurant had great food and friendly service . We had a river view room . Easy walk to casino . We will definitely stay here again, Also the warm chocolate chips cookies they give you on check in ,, delicious!

The toilet did not work in our room. Staff did not take this concern seriously and in a timely manner. The manager did not offer and resolution who was on duty during the morning of November 9th 2024

Very disappointed in the internet connection. Glitchy at best. Not accommodating to business people.

Great stay and great view of Detroit from the room!

The reception when ai checked in around 1:30 pm yesterday was terrible. He was so rude to me with very tough straight forward words. He didn't even smile at me, with a very bad and aggressive attitude. I don't think I will come back even tho everything else was amazing.

We choose to stay there to catch the events bus to go hockey game in Detroit.

It’s close enough to restaurants that you could walk to them. It’s close to the casino where we went for a concert. The only downside was that the parking was across the street.

Service was satisfactory. Bed was uncomfortable. Room was noisy - easy to hear people next door. Breakfast buffet was not worth the price. Food was not good. There are cheaper options that are just as good or better in the area. Disappointing for a Hilton property.

Very clean and nice place. Staff was very friendly and dealt with my grumpiness cause I barely slept. We came here right after getting married and the hotel staff did such an amazing job decorating our room. I think I found my favorite hotel chain to stay at now it wasn't too expensive either. There isn't free parking but it was expected since it was in the middle of a busy city.

Room was perfectly comfortable with a beautiful view of the Detroit Skyline. Guest services was friendly and accommodating. Wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely return.

This is the best and nicest hotel in Windsor, Ontario. Have stayed at others including highly rated nearby hotels and hotels just across the river in Detroit. This is the go to now and there's no point in going back to any other unless this hotel is fully booked, which happens very infrequently.

Love the customer service and the hotel was great and River Room was also great.

Room was updated and clean but could hear people in next room talking at a normal conversation. No soundproofing between walls. Parking was off site in a city parking garage and was an extra $28.00 daily. Had to walk back to hotel Construction was ongoing in front of hotel on the street. Would not go back almost $400 a nigh dor a 2 star hotel

Incredible view of the water, rooms are clean. Bed was a little old and not very comfortable. They have a self self coffee / snack area and the security confronted me trying to say I was stealing which was embarrassing since I paid, maybe they should get rid of that if they can’t monitor it properly

Great location and view from water front room

Absolutely enjoyed my staff there. Everyone is so polite and friendly. Receptionist Renae was so warm and welcoming. Hotel is located in an ideal location, where you can just walk and enjoy the beautiful sceneries.

I like to stay in Double Three, it is alway clean, but this one. The office chair is so dirty that you don't want sit at.

The most rude staff i have ever encountered. The lady supervisor in buffet area was exceptionally rude. I am surprised how is she employed in service industry.

Location

Area under construction. Detours and parking was inconvenient.

There was much construction in the area which made it harder to navigate. The waterfront walk area is lovely and the view of Detroit is great. However the hotel business section doesn't work- 2 computers that don't work. There seems to be confusion about what is included- as in- I thought breakfast and parking were included but they were not. Parking lot is BEHIND the hotel and with street closures it is challenging to get in and out of.
