The service was excellent the view from the room they gave us was obstructed with trees. The staff at the restaurant and hotel were excellent. Manuel and the chef aram and Stephanie and the team were all very good.

Have a beautiful beach

I am very disappointed definitely this hotel is not a resort and it is overpriced for the services offered. The level of the staff is mediocre and slow. It does not fit the description of a “resort” and food is poor quality. I would definitely not go back here. Now we have to stay here for 7 days….thank you for your attention.

No HOT water to enjoy the beautiful spa on the de!

I booked a room with a spa which was beautiful but there was NO hot water to enjoy the spa experience. The first day there was hot water but after that nothing. I called the front desk and service people came but the problem was never fixed. The service person said it was a fuse or ? Never got to the root of the problem. I felt the staff knew there were problems with the hot water from the start but pretended that there was no problem. I stopped calling as I didn’t want this to ruin my holiday in the Seychelles. I paid a lot of money for that room to not get hot water. I feel that this is just a basic expectation?

My stay was excellent, the beach I would rate as one of the best on Mahe. And a special mention to the staff, especially the front desk and bar staff. They are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying there and I will return there one day

What a wonderful experience! From the minute we walked in the hotel, the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and always attentive and available to help. The hotel manager Doreen went above and beyond during our check in to make sure we are comfortable after our long flight and to get us into our room as soon as possible. The restaurant/bar staff was always professional, attentive and personable. We loved being serviced by Tolera in the restaurant and Chef Abhishek who made us some spectacular meals. Also , the Assistant Manager Binaya was extremely attentive and surprised us with some special treats at the end of our stay. Thank you so much Double Tree Seychelles Team for the great service and for making your customers a priority!

Great resort. Everyone was nice. Special thanks to the hotel dining team - Vivian, Carol, Amanuel, Doreen, Sorab, Aisha, and Gokul. We recommend this place for a family.

We checked in around 1:00 PM and patiently waited for the room as the check-in time was 2:00 PM. Finally, we got to our room around 3:00 PM. The temperature inside the room was about 85-90 Degrees Fahrenheit with AC running at full blast. We waited until evening, thinking the AC was working overtime and might start cooling by evening. No Change even after Sun Down. I called reception and complained about the AC. After an hour, the maintenance person finally shows up and says that he has fixed the AC. I asked him to come back after 30 minutes as there was no change inside the room. He came back and said that AC was not working and left. No news after that, and he just disappeared. We were too tired to fight the battle and slept after taking two strong pills. I went to the reception in the morning, complained about the AC, and was told that the AC was fixed/working. I told her that I must be crazy to complain if the AC was working. I asked the receptionist to give us another room, and finally, around 2:00 PM, we were moved to a room with working AC. What a relief. We should have walked out of the room the evening before and demanded a room with working AC. No apologies from the hotel; it seems that the AC is not working in most of the rooms. Shabby service from the Hilton Brand of Hotel. Definitely, not recommended.

Great experience!!

Great experience with the Doubletree. The front of house staff were extremely helpful and have a great process set up for socially distanced check-ins. They were also extremely helpful answering our questions about navigating the island. The room was impeccably clean and had lovely tropical flowers sprinkled all about.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being from USA we were skeptical about the quality we would be receiving as Double Tree in the states aren't the best. The hotel was nice clean and up to date. The staff was extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. We were celebrating my birthday, the staff called me to wish me a happy birthday, sang and provided me with a cake during my meal and left a cake towel on my bed. It made me feel extremely special! the rooms were cleaned daily. they even straightened up the little clutter we left around. there was a mini fridge, coffee etc. The beach and pool are BEAUTIFUL! Very visually appealing! The negatives: the food at the hotel is extremely subpar and overpriced. Luckily we only did half-board, we ended up getting lunch from local shops, like the one across the street, It was a fraction of the price. Wouldn't have mind it being expensive if it was delicious...or at least good. The live music that they have is...ehhh, but they were extremely nice and tried to be diverse with their selections. The hotel doesn't provide airport transpiration. B/c the cab drivers know you are a tourist, they will charge you 800 seychelle roupees= $58.99 or 52.16 Euro EACH WAY!!! (Absolutely ridiculous!) My partner and I ended up using their public transit a lot of the time and used the saved money on other activities. If you LOVE the beach water, make sure you have swim shoes, it is extremely rocky and there are a lot of shells

Average hotel on a nice beach

The location of the hotel is really beautiful. A nice coral reef, blue waters, granite rocks and white sandy beach.The resort has its own beach and there are other two beaches where it is possible to walk without meeting anyone. Our room was clean and big enough, but the air condition wasn't very effective. The sunrise from the hotel balcony was really nice to view. The staff was nice and helpful, although a bit slow to my European mind. The food was good, but the choice not as extensive as we had seen in another hotels.

Its a building site outside on the patio. They are all over the roof. Its a disgrace.

Tired, but trying

Fails the Hilton H reputation by having a motel feel. Lots of broken ‘things’. Little info/knowledge on excursions, marine life. Expensive for what you get, as a result. AC problems, no kids club or family activities other than a few board games, pool table. Night entertainment was just once a week. Staff friendly and helpful. Food tasty and plentiful. However, congratulations on sponsoring and supporting conservation and eco issues. A tired hotel, but still trying hard.

Amazing and worth it

It was hidden away from all the hotels which made it very unique. The beach was quiet and the hotel itself is well maintained with very warm staff.

Great find on Mahe Island! Wonderful hotel with very welcoming stuff. Everyone was marking sure we have everything we need. Short drive from the airport, easy parking. All rooms have a see view (included in the price) with a large balcony - equipped with patio furniture. Nice beach - good for snorkeling. Highly recommended to everyone! Very clean and well maintained hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

5nights in seychelles

Lovely hotel, average service average breakfast

Room a bit old and need repair. Jacuzzi bath is not working and a number of power switches are not working. Internet conbection is rather slow.

Very nice boutique style hotel

The Doubletree Hilton Allamanda didn't feel like a Hilton and that is a good thing. Very friendly and personable staff, OK rooms and an absolutely stunning view. Food also very nice, with only a few hiccups during 7 days stay in September 2017.

All staff are not kindly and friendly. I will not stay here.

This is the best Hotel in all of Mahe Island

This is the best hotel you can ever think of when you touch down on Mahe Island.I will rate them a 5 star in my own opinion. There was no delay on arrival. We were checked in quickly into our room after cooling us off with a beautifully prepared tasty cocktail juice at the lobby by an Island damsel called Shana who was at the reception on our arrival.She's lovely and always filled with glorious smiles.In double tree,there are two hidden beaches beside Double tree hotel. Lovely sand and rock beach. Another worker with potentials was Ronny. He gave us all the info about the Island. That young dude is a genius giving helpful info that brings your desires and mind pictures to reality. Watch out for Binaya, He is wonderful chef from Nepal. He surprised me with my home-country kind of barbecue fish with our kind of spices too on no extra cost.Customer satisfaction was at its best. I got a surprised free birthday cake. My room was re-decorated without my consent.The dinner kitchen team/staff sang me a birthday song being orchestrated by this wonderful woman name Andriane. I love her.She a lovely mother. Always trying to look for anyway to make you happier & satisfied with your dinner.she literally everywhere.And finally Rania, her lovely face and smile constantly would remind you that the sun is not the only radiant object on earth. I got more than my monies worth. I will repeat this place again.

Beautiful quiet setting in The Seychelles.

This resort is a beautiful small hotel on a gorgeous beach. It is on the south end of the island which seemed to be quiet & a bit remote. To get to the town of Victoria, you can rent a car for the trip about 45 mins away. On the north end of the island you can find water activities.

Easy hotel by the beach. Great for relaxation.

Watch out for harmless but disturbing flies. Come in hundreds (no exaggeration) into your room unless you take precautions with sunset. Unfortunately, the hotel does little to alleviate this problem. Had to ask for extra towels to cover the door gaps. The food quality is average, make sure they understand your order in full. Try the coctails! If gonna use fitness, make sure that the A/C works before you go in. All in all, still a good experience. Great beach. Friendly staff. Consider renting your car from the hotel.

Mahe, Seychelles: Double Treat

We spent two nights at the Double Tree on Mahe in the Seychelles -- the first day of our arrival and the last night of our stay in the Seychelles. On both bookends of our great vacation, we were well treated and pleasantly surprised by the magnificient views from our room -- looking to the east and the beautiful sunrises over the Indian Ocean. The reception staff was most gracious and added to our stay when on the last night we were lodged in a most spectacular room. And the view from the lobby, looking out over the infinity-edge pool was breathtaking! It does cost about 700+ Seychelles rubies to get from the airport to the hotel and no restaurants are conveniently available, so dining is at the hotel's somewhat pricey facilities. Otherwise, a great place with stunning views and a most amicable staff, especially Tania!

Everything you would expect and more

We had an excellent stay at DoubleTree, Mahe. The room and resort was much better than we expected. The pool as well as our roo had awesome views: the sunrise in particular was something to be enjoyed. We were treated well by all the staff. They were especially helpful when my rented car wouldn't start as the battery had died and they helped jump start it. They could provide some snorkeling equipment for sale/rent at the resort since most of the tourists would want to do that. Considering everything, I consider the stay as time and money well spent. We stayed in a double bed room with king size beds, a patio and a bathroom with all the amenities. The walk around the hotel and along the beach is very soothing.

Great for rest & relaxation

A great hotel with all rooms facing out to a fantastic sea view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet varied with themed dining cuisine. Hotel positioned on a secluded beach with opportunities for kayaking or snorkelling.

The hotel itself is great, but a few let downs

The hotel itself and the location are fantastic. It is a very clean, well kept building, with lovely rooms, big and well appointed bathrooms and a massive balcony with fantastic views over the beautiful looking pool and the ocean. I loved the setting and the room, but was let down by a few things during the stay that I felt need better communication or attention. 1. The pool was out of order for the entire last day of our stay, which was not well communicated and was a dampener on the stay given I had not yet used the pool. The ocean was a bit rough so it was disappointing not to be able to swim on the last day of the holiday - no apology or explanation was given by staff. 2. It took over an hour in the restaurant to deliver the meal we ordered which was a simple order of a burger and fish and chips- it seems that little attention is paid to guests who are not taking the very expensive buffet meal option. This was exacerbated by the lack of any explanation for the delay and lack of effort to make it up. We were then overcharged for the drinks we ordered (charged for alcoholic drinks instead of non-alcoholic) and no effort was made to apologise once the mistake was pointed out. I just didn't find the level of service under these circumstances reflective of the price of the hotel or the restaurant. 3. There was no do not disturb sign provided and room service was annoyingly in the room every time we came back from breakfast. 4. The bed was hard and sagging on one edge

Paradise

A great hotel from arrival to departure, all requests are handled brilliantly by the lovely staff. A very friendly atmosphere that makes you feel at home during your stay. Food is good too, with all staff around to cater for your needs, including a big selection of drinks, cocktails, smoothies and fresh coconuts!

Great hotel, on the beachfront

We stayed at Doubletree by Hilton for 4 days and 3 nights. It is around 20 mins from the airport, 30 mins from the town centre and located right on the beach front. The staff are great and extremely helpful. There are a couple of great restaurants around if you don't want to dine at the hotel itself.

A perfect place to spend unforgettable time

Very nice hotel on a beautiful quiet place. Staff and manager very nice and helpful all the time, they fullfilled all our wishes. We had a great stay, enjoying the view, the swimming and the snorkelling outside the reef. Left and right of the hotel there are also perfect beaches with almost no people. We loved our stay at Double Tree on Seychelles and will be back again!

Wonderful hotel, highly recommend. The nicest Doubletree ever... nicer than many Hiltons we have stayed at.

Seaside Resort

My wife and I stayed here three days. This is not your typical Double Tree -- It is a seaside resort that we loved. Very comfortable rooms the infinity pool and lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach were great. Restaurant food was great --especially the fresh pastries -- could swear we were in France! Hotel staff was well trained and fun -- felt like we were treated like VIP guests. Highly recommend this resort -- also the location was in a quieter part of the island which we really appreciated.

Picturesque Ocean View

We had a marvelous stay in Mahe, Seychelles at the Doubletree by Hilton Allamanda Resort. We enjoyed wonderful interiors, picturesque ocean views, very good service and friendly staff. Staff provided a personal touch, making every effort to say hello and check in on our comfort. They were eager to make our stay enjoyable and managed to entertain an energetic three year old. I am sure her daily cookies helped! We had an excellent stay and have recommended the hotel to friends looking for a pleasant get-a-way.

Relaxing Stay in Paradise

The location is fantastic, beachfront and a nice place to swim (the snorkeling is pretty ordinary though!!). The staff were really nice, attentive and well experienced. The rooms were very comfortable, the room service was good in Seychellois terms. The food quality and staff in the restaurants were excellent. Thanks for a great stay!!

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at this hotel for our honeymoon. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. We also dined few times for lunch and dinner at their restaurant and we thought the food was very good. The rooms were a great size and the mattress and pillows were absolutely amazing! Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay with them again if we come back. Thank you :)

The employees are really young and hence do not speak English very well it seems (simple words as "airport transfer" or "included / excluded"). Many time we were confronted with extra cost or unexpected situations because of this.

We really enjoyed our every moment in this fabulous hotel. The hotel crew was so nice, courteous, friendly and professional. I would like to thank every one of them from the bottom of my heart for their meticulous service and candour that made us feel home during our stay. I appreciate dear hotel manager Ms. Doreen for creating such a warm and comfortable hotel atmosphere. The hotel is in a very nice location where you can enjoy a lovely ocean view and the serenity . You may even choose not to leave the hotel during your whole visit but do not do that, explore the amazing Mahe island. The forests, mountains and the botanical gardens are also as astoundingly beautiful as the shores. Being now in our apartment in downtown Istanbul, we feel like having seen a beautiful tropical Seychellois dream . I am sure you will also enjoy your every moment in the Seychelles and in this hotel.

The room was beautiful, fantastic sea view. The air conditioning was not working in the first room and after reporting this to the property they changed our room without any difficulty.

Personale gentilissimo. Abbiamo fatto il check alle 7:00 in anticipo di 7 ore e ci hanno accolto nelle zone comuni finché la stanza non è stata pronta (alle 10:30 quindi molto prima del previsto). Anche in uscita poiché avevamo il volo nella serata ci hanno fatto utilizzare la piscina e subito prima della partenza ci hanno dato una stanzetta per farci la doccia e risistemarci. L’auto noleggiata con loro ci è venuta un prezzo decisamente inferiore (la metà) rispetto ai preventivo online. È andato tutto benissimo e consigliamo la struttura per tutti.

Das Zimmer ist schön gross und entspricht den Bildern. Der Whirlpool auf dem Balkon und auch das restliche Interieur wirkte bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Service hätte für diesen Preis besser sein können. Mussten mehrere Male an der Reception nach fehlenden Dingen fragen, wobei es am Schluss trotzdem nicht immer geklappt hat. Für diesen Preis würde ich nicht nochmals kommen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen war sehr lecker!

Service navette impeccable. Petit hôtel très bien situé avec beaucoup de charme. Piscine a débordement sur mer très jolie. Plage impeccable. Grande chambre bien équipée avec petit spa. Par contre restauration lamentable, qualité des repas et du petit déjeuner très basse. Service restaurant aussi mauvais.

Fantastisk beliggenhed, men slidt hotel

God mad, god service, fantastisk beliggenhed ned til stranden, med palmer og hvid strand. Men hotellet er slidt, vores værelse var ikke renoveret de sidste mange år ( nr 107),skimmel på badeværelse, dårlig aircondition, gamle og små strandhåndklæder, dårligt motionscenter, ingen aktiviteter. Så derfor den lidt hårde bedømmelse. Relativt dyr i forhold til sammenlignelige hoteller på Seychellerne.

+ Lit confortable, grande chambre, super douche à l'italienne. + Personnel a l’ecoute, tout pour satisfaire sa clientèle (intolérance alimentaire, menu spécial..) + Très bons plats au restaurant le soir et déjeuner superbe. +/- Très belle plage en face et à côté de l’hôtel mais pas mal de cailloux et oursins (prendre des chaussures d’eau). - Etablissement vieillissant dans l’ensemble (porte et armoire qui peinent à fermer, prises et coffre fort qui fonctionnent une fois sur deux...)

Hotel situé sur une plage magnifique, un peu isolé. L’anse Forbans vaut vraiment le détour. Très bon spot pour le snorkeling. Toutefois l’hotel est en peu vieillissant, il mériterai une rénovation. Le personnel est très amable, nous avons été surclassés dans une chambre avec jacuzzi sur la terrasse. Le petit déjeuner est varié est très bon, surtout les gaufres chaudes.

hotel un po' fatiscente. personale cordiale ma privo di qualsiasi interesse verso alcune piccole esigenze quale : macchina del caffe espresso non funzionante ( segnalato ma mai eseguita sostituzione) vasca idromassaggio esterna non funzionante ( al tentativo del primo riempimento si è allagato il terrazzo. Anche questo segnalato ma senza risultato) dimenticanza nel portare asciugamani, bagno schiuma , shampoo ed altro( personale da rincorrere per poter avere il minimo indispensabile colazione e cena da presentarsi all'apertura per poter accedere al buffet in quanto terminato ciò che era stato preparato non veniva riproposto quindi bisognava accontentarsi di ciò che era rimasto mare inaccessibile poiché il basso fondale era costituito da alghe robuste e pungenti e da numerosissimi ricci

Buon hotel per uno stop over tra un'isola e l'altra. Personale molto gentile ma necessita di manutenzione essendo il tutto un po' "stanco"

Nice hotel with beautiful surroudings

We are satisfied with are stay. The room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. It was a very nice view from the balcony. Some of the staff was very service-minded and attentive but some of them were not. The pool-area was nice and the beaches also. Food was good. We also tried the spa which was nice.

GEWELDIG

Prachtig kleinschalig hotel met de faciliteiten van een groot hotel. Bijzonder vriendelijk personeel, prachtig strand en uitstekende snorkellocatie. Mooie uitvalsbasis naar zowel het Noorden als naar de Westkust. Heerlijk tot rust gekomen en genoten van alles wat de natuur en het hotel te bieden hadden. Uitstekende Spa faciliteiten waar de massages (met de branding van de zee op de achtergrond) een absolute aanrader zijn.

Never again

This hotel desperately needs to improve on its service. The breakfast is good, but that's about it with the positive aspects. To give a few examples: I found a long black hair in my fish fillet, drinks we ordered did not match the description in the drink list, waited15 min for the bill at dinner, towels in our room were not replaced, problems with the refridgerator in the room, room phone not working,.... Would not recommend this hotel.
