Not up to the Hilton brand

Room was loud. Housekeeping didn’t come before 4 PM. Blow dryer didn’t work. No hot water. In general room in poor quality. Front desk never answered the phone. Didn’t return my deposit when I checked out and charged me an extra 400$ for no reason. I caught this on my credit card bill and they said they’re going to fix it, but have not done so yet.

Amazing Service

Great service, amazing location and very helpful staffs. I had a late flight and they let me to stay a litter longer, I'm very thankful for that. Excellent room, very clean, I really recommend this hotel.

It's the second time I stay at Hotel Itaim, and I would definitely come back again. Excellent service, delicious breakfast with many different options and I've had a really good time in the pool. Room is spacious, very clean and the bed is quite comfortable. Frigobar items are expensive, so I would not recommend having anything from there. In the overall, a very good experience.

The location of the hotel is in a nice area within São Paulo. There are lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. However, this hotel is only one of many to choose from in the Itiam neighborhood. The price is reasonable, but in my experience comes at the cost of very poor housekeeping service and a disturbing desk staff policy where they let themselves into your room at 10 o’clock at night while you are sleeping to ask, “Is there is anything you need?” There are no safety bars/chains on the inside of the door so if/when they want to come into your room, there’s no way to prevent it.

The location is fantastic!! lots of options walking distance, very friendly staff, great breakfast and good value for the restaurant very friendly staff at the restaurant. However their system wasn't working properly and the whole reception of the hotel and so on smell frying something like that, not very pleasant the smell at all. A part of that everything was ok.

Location is excellent. Close to almost anything in Sampa. A Uber drive away.

Great location and hotel staff is very helpful. The breakfast buffet is fantastic! However, the condition of the rooms was a bit disappointing. A bit run down and in need of deep cleaning. I would suggest staying at the Tryp Rua Iguatemi instead.

Primitive resources

Put me in a room near the elevator. Buzzer for open door sounded too loud inside the room. Very hard to rest with that annoying noise. Internet DiD NOT work. Even we were three guests claiming at the front desk at the same time, the staff still tried to convinced that there was a problem in our iPads, Android devices, etc. Spent three hours talking to tech support. They reset their system four times but could not fix it.

Business Hotel

I had a pleasant short stay at this facility. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The internet was a little slow and my colleague and I both had trouble connecting in the breakfast area.

Great location, just ok hotel

This is a 3 star, maybe 3.5 star hotel in US standards. Nothing really fancy about it to make it a 4 for sure.

Nice hotel in the middle of Sao Paulo

I had a great experience at the TRYP. The front desk staff were friendly and flexible in terms of early check-in and late check out. Everything I needed was within walking distance and the best part was the rooftop pool with views to Sao Paulo's Jardin neighborhood.

Great street

This is an old hotel with small rooms and very small bathrooms with just shower stalls. The only reason I stay here is that I like that all rooms have balconies and the the street is so cute and beautiful. Also service is good but very limited options.

A Great business hotel, conveniently located.

This is a great business hotel. It's safe, clean, modern, conveniently located, and a very good value. It also has an excellent and varied breakfast. I stay here once or twice a year for about 3-4 days each, and it is always good. My last stay in December 2014 was the same. But I have two quibbles. First, the toilets require many flushes to get everything down. This is unacceptable. Second, on this trip, for the first time, there was no staff who spoke English.

Rooms very small, very noisy as well, as all doors slam and one can hear next door neighbors. Very basic amenities. If one just needs to sleep, this is a place. Great view from balcony.

Great hotel in a great location

We stayed at the TRYP Sao Paulo Itaim Hotel for 10 nights during the World Cup and thought it was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and clean and the surrounding neighbourhood was clean and felt quite secure. Reception staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay until the end when they thought I had not paid because they had not received payment from Hotels.com. They withheld my belongings and were threatening my friends with theirs if we did not pay AGAIN.

Nice rooms and location - terrible internet

Requested a non smoker room - was put in a smoker room. After complaining they changed. Rooms are nice for São Paulo and the rate. Wifi Connection is absolutely inadequate. Website to connect is very cumbersome. Then they give you 24 hours for free for a 3 days stay. Did not have time to complain (wifi was included in rate). Internet speed was pretty bad - 764kb download and 256kb upload. - almost like modem speed. They really need to improve this for a business hotel. Location is good - lots of restaurants and nightlife in walking distance.

I have stayed here many times. I love the location. It is convenient, safe, quiet and many good restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. The living room and kitchenette make this hotel feel like a home.

Room had an awful smell. I had to buy an air freshener to help. There is only one chair in the room and it is not comfortable, good lock if you want to watch TV sitting down.

Have stayed at most of the TRYP hotels in Sao Paulo and the condition of this hotel is the weakest of the group.

It was a "fair" overall stay. I felt a bit disappointed when my late check out request was accepted, and then I was disturbed by staff asking me what time I was plannning to leave, way before the previously agreed late check out time.

Good choice for Itaim and southern districts

Tryp Itaim is conveniently located at the heart of Itaim a busy and sophisticated neighborhood. I try to stay there everytime I travel to Sao Paulo.

Overall a good hotel. One gripe, they need to overhaul and upgrade the workout room - the equipment is old and does not work very well.

The stay was bad, the service desk was slow and bad prepared, the room conditions was bad, the air conditioning was noise. The breakfast was ok.

Awful experience

Reserved a non smoking room with double bed. Checked in, got a room with two single beds, okay no problem. room is kinda of old but okay. unpacked. went to a meeting, came back room as full of cigar smoke, turns out im on a smoking floor, clothes everthing stinking of cigar smoke. so they move me, yet again ask for room with double bed, get two singles. okay, then air conditioner, is leaking water, drip drip all night and its not even that powerfull. food is awaful and i endedm on sunday night had an omelette i ended with with food poiseing which left me with fever and diarahea for three days and my stomach is still not right, at peak times during check in and out they have one person at the desk, waits are horrendous... stay very far away

Tired hotel in good location. Small TV with limited English channels (no sports) or news. Room is smallish with noisy wall mounted A/C. Pool is nice on the roof. Very friendly and helpful staff.

So before I begin I should warn u, sao paolo in jan is expensive. That being said the tryp is decent for the price. Need to get tvs that arent 200 yrs old but good local and nice staff. If u can acford 200 a night dont stay here. If u want a placeto lie ur head this is the place for u.

Clean, friendly, nicely located.

The staff was extremely helpful and patient with our questions in English (we spoke no Portuguese). The room was modest but clean and appropriate for the price. When we walked up and down the street, we found many nice restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs and felt very safe.

Room size

The hotel is conviniently located and it caters to business travel. The rooms and specialy the bathrooms are extremely small. Over all the value for your money is good with good service.

Needs Urgent Renovation

The hotel is at a great location but the interior needs urgent renovation. The rooms and the bathrooms are old and small, and there are only two small elevators for all the guests. I suggest looking for other options before choosing this hotel.

Nice, but could be better

I stayed in Tryp Itaim for an extended weekend. The location of the hotel is very good, at walking distance from Shopping Iguatemi, and some good restaurants. However, the room seemed somewhat outdated, and the breakfast buffet was good, but not as complete as one usually finds in Brasilian hotels of this category.

The hotel staff is friendly but the accommodation was poor. Not enough plugs in the room, wallpaper peeling, carpet stained and needs a good lick of paint everywhere.

Bom hotel, quartos de bom tamanho, roupas de cama e toalhas de boa qualidade. Café da manhã satisfatório com pouca quantidade de frutas porém com estação para fazer ovos e tapiocas bem feitas. Excelente localização, ótimo bairro com muitos restaurantes e comércio bem próximos, com boa sensação de segurança nos arredores. Ótimo local para se hospedar em SP.

O hotel é bem limpo, camas confortáveis e quarto amplo. Tivemos um problema com um vazamento no banheiro que a mangueira da ducha higiênica estourou e alagou todo o quarto, estava dormindo e não percebi. Mas o pessoal do hotel nos acordou e trocamos de quarto imediatamente, por sorte não molhou as malas que estavam suspensas. Achei o café da manhã fraco para o nível do hotel. Tinha bastante variedade, mas as quitandas e pães não estavam gostosos. Apesar do vazamento o pessoal do hotel foi bastante cordial e nos deu todo o suporte necessário.

Tudo incrivelmente perfeito! Claro, é o minimo que se espera pelo valor da diária, mas o atendimento e qualidade do hotel são admiráveis e merecem reconhecimento. Fui recebida com um cookie de chocolate e nozes e uma equipe super atenciosa, o elevador só funciona a partir da apresentação do seu cartão chave do quarto, me deixou muito segura! O unico detalhe que pontuo aqui é que a TV do quarto poderia ser mais moderna, a atual não é nem smart e a internet não é das melhores. Mas no demais, iria novamente sem duvidas!
