Every thing was great

Hotel could used renovations, carpets old and dirty, pool area and lobby outdated. Bathroom in room had plumbing issues

The property was clean and nice, enjoyed the nonsmoking but no night life or entertainment. We had to go out to enjoy any music, dancing, etc. No pool bar, no vibe.

Staff was great. Area around Hotel had a lot of abandoned construction sites.

Our time there was great the only thing I would complain is the drinks are

I loved our stay everyone was friendly the hotel and room are perfect clean, walkable to restaurants, a market and oxxo . Hotel is in zona dorada which means you need to take a pulmonia to get to el malecon but that’s not a problem at all just take your drinky, Drinky and enjoy the views

Loved the Double Tree by Hilton. Everlyn was a great host at the pool. Enjoyed my stay.

Excellent employees

The staff was amazing!! Our room was very very clean and kept supplied without asking. We ate every evening at the restaurant and always had a very pleasant meal and a great selection. Will be booking again for next year!

Our room was an ocean view on 15th floor. The bed was a king size luxury with great pillows! The room had blackening blinds and we slept beautifully! The room was cleaned every day and in good repair. The bathroom was starting to show a little age but was very clean. The staff was very good to us- even brought tables outside for us when we asked. Location is great- lots of restaurants, bus stop and Ubers plentiful if needed. The pool wasn’t heated but not uncommon- so a little too cold to swim in January. The Hilton welcome cookie is amazing!! We would definitely stay here again-our 4th time to Matzalan but first stay here.

Great water view facility.

Loved everything about this hotel — the beachfront location, the view from my room, the comfortable bed, the staff, the convenience to good restaurants in the area, the public bus just a block away. Glad I picked this hotel; would definitely stay here again.

The service and cleaning and food

The hotel was clean, our room and especially the bed very comfortable, fabulous views. Great pools and lounge areas. Location is fantastic-walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. Our housekeepers Liliana & Madera were very friendly and made sure our room was spotless every day. The general manager Ben greeted us while going through the lobby one afternoon and took the time to chat. Good happy hour margaritas. Appreciated the filtered water filing stations in the hotel. We will be back.

Our stay was great! Service, breakfast, view, pool were all great!

The property has a spa, pool, gym, buffet (for an extra cost), beach access, bar, Starbucks, indoor ATM, parking... it has just what you need. This was the 2nd time in 2024 my son and I stayed here. My son loves it here. The rooms are spacious with plenty on space for storing personal items. The mini fridge is a plus.

This property is totally neglected! Old towels with stains, ripped towels, shower heads old and don’t stay in its place, bar is not functioning at the pool. Empty mini bar at the room, old bedsheets. All other hotels have the same view and better pools for the same prices. Customer service at the lobby was bad. I advise to stay in another hotel.

Hotel was very nice! I had an ocean front room and the view was amazing. Hotel was clean with very friendly staff. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby which was nice for my daily iced coffee fix. Breakfast buffet was good. Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful beach front property!

As soon I entry my room by the bathroom walking there where two dead outdoor roach. And the room was not clean the floor were dusty. The next day they cleaned and did a good job so it was good after that.it would be good before giving the room to have someone to check the room.pools clean nice ocean view.

Staff were great the entire stay.

The building is young but the mold in the shower is black and fans are not working well! There was a tips under the bed as well as other items. The kitchenette had no glasses, no cloth, no dishes. When we asked for dishes and cutlery we were told no - but we did obtain them from the kitchen. The guests were allowed to blast their music which clashed with the pipes in music! Not great!

The hotel is closed distance to restaurants, shopping stores, markets and beach. Hotel is clean has a restaurant in the 3rd floor and bed was very comfortable.

People were friendly and helpful! Stayed there before and plan to stay there again if the price is right. Would love if they offered all inclusive again, so much easier and cost effective

the hotel closes down the pool area, including access to the beach, early at night. like blocked completely. not what I want on my vacation. Hotel did not handle room charges well. they told us 'there is a block on your room' when we tried to charge to our room. The hotel WAS paid with a credit card. And, did not ask for any further reservation? very odd.

Property needs a better Air conditioning and more cleaning.

I’m happy I stayed at this property. It was safe, clean and had all the amenities I needed. Breakfast was great, pool area is nice, I could get my laundry done, there are water filters everywhere, cleaners are great, all doors double locked, there is a large safe box in everyroom and it’s right near everything including the elaborate Shekinah beach club. I’m from Australia, and I would say it has all the western comforts I needed and wanted, but it’s a more of a modern experience than traditional - sometimes I felt like I was in the Mediterranean.

The property was nice but there was mold everywhere above the bed in the shower around the bathroom vanity I would have preferred to have been able to get the ocean view because the street view was very loud from 8pm to 4am I was able to get some sleep after 4 am it was quite it I did like the pool area it was a beautiful view in the pool side

Check in was later than it was supposed to, keys were not programmed right, it was very noisy around the hotel and rooms were not that clean. Bedding and pillows were not great either

Great view hotel looks nice from outside,but for the four days of our stay my room was not cleaned my bed sheets were not changed housekeeping made the bed but used same sheets. The amenities were not available bottles were empty. And I noticed mold in shower and in walls. Definitely not staying there again

Didn’t sleep the 3 nights I was there was in the 6th floor glancing the street there’s a club next to hotel loud music till 4am everyday Monday thru Sunday

No water for two days

2 dias estuvimos sin agua en el hotel, no tiene area de playa, las olas pegan en la barda del hotel, no te dejan meter bebidas al area de alberca y ahi todo super caro, al triple de lo que te puedes conseguir enfrente un refresco. No tiene actuvidades en la alberca que entretengan al cliente o algo para hacer ya que como dije, la playa no es buena wn esa area.

Very nice hotel! We loved the room, and the city views from the balcony. Our room was kept nice and clean. The only down side we experienced is that the hotel kept running out of water. Sometimes we would have to shower in the Spa area. Other than that excellent hotel choice! The pool area is beautiful! Would recommend.

Por el precio que pagamos esperábamos algo diferente. No se ve como en las fotos. Las instalaciones necesitan mantenimiento, el área de alberca está poco cómodo, la playa en frente no es family friendly, casi no hay espacio de arena. Las calles alrededor son muy ruidosas, con mucho tráfico, la comida en el hotel está más o menos, varias veces tuvimos problemas con la regadera y el baño, logramos hacer cambio de habitación. No regresaría ahí.

We had an excellent experience at double tree Mazatlán .

We stayed at the property for seven days so we reserved two rooms four months in advance the only problem was that they gave us the rooms seven floors apart but after that we had a happy stay all the staff was very nice, we would stay at the Double Tree again. Thank you

El personal o staff sí es atento y amable. Sin embargo, faltan algunos detalles de organización y más personal en áreas importantes; las instalaciones les falta también más mantenimiento y limpieza… incluso en el primer día en el cuarto hubo una mala experiencia, porque debajo de una almohada había un insecto vivo y entre las sábanas había residuos de alimentos previos a nuestra llegada. Se puede mejorar para una mejor experiencia y satisfacción general en el servicio de hospedaje, principalmente por parte del área directiva o administrativa del hotel.

The hotel was pretty decent compared to the pictures. Upon our arrival the sink had like pink toothpaste smeared and was clogged. We didn’t know the room had a balcony which was nice but the lock was broken so we couldn’t lock it. The breakfast was alright but the lunch was really good. All the workers were very friendly and our housekeeper Maribel was the best whenever we needed something. They didn’t have enough pool towels or seating almost our whole stay due to people that were not staying there being there so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool until our last two days after staying there nine days. Overall the stay was ok if it’s your first time visiting but i wouldn’t stay here again in the future

Not enough elevators when they’re fully occupied

I booked four rooms on Expedia and had nothing but problems as soon as we tried to check in. The hotel overbooked room so we had a very hard time getting our rooms. One room was ready on time at 4pm, the next at 5pm, the next at 6pm and the fourth was not ready at 7pm so we had to go complain. The hotel staff was completely unbothered. My whole party missed our restaurant reservations because we had to deal with the hotel issues. It was such a horrible experience. They said we would not get our money back if we canceled the 4 rooms. And that check-in time is just an estimate, they were not obligated to have our rooms ready on time. We had to complain 4 times to the hotel staff for the 4th room. At 7pm, they agreed to finally give my guests a room and changed the check out time for all 4 rooms until 1pm. Come to check out time, they did not make any notes and did not honor what the hotel manager Geraldine stated to us. Geraldine and her staff were completely dismissive and rude, maybe it’s due to inexperience. The rooms were dirty, old and had mold in many locations. We requested towels on 5 different occasions and did not receive them. We would wait a couple hours and no one would bring them. We had to go to the reception area to physically get them ourselves. Service was beyond horrible. We will never book here again.

The Hotel and service was good. The pool close at 8pm, no towels out doors or once they cleaned the room and I called to request towels but they never showed up. There were days where the room service was excellent and some days no towels no clean sheets.
