Top-notch
Friendly and attentive service all around - from reception to bar and restaurant. Best hotel in Iquitos, with central location to explore city. Hotel helped arrange for a number of excellent day trips.
Dry nice for Iquitos! Great pizza around the corner . Gym needs some updating but overall ver y good!
Beautiful hotel. Staff friendly, bilingual and very accommodating. I highly recommend.
Very fancy. Staff is very attentive. Cookies are yummy 😁
Only Viable Option in Iquitos!
I really enjoyed my stay at Doubletree. It was in the heart of Iquitos and maintained excellent standards! I want to acknowledge Katherine, she was especially kind and warm.
The best hotel at Iquitos. The personal of the hotel it was very friendly and I feel so confident and relaxed over there
Great food! Wonderful staff. I was hearing by music when I was trying to sleep. They kept working with me to figure out the source of the music and lowered it then called to check if everything was ok. The room is comfortable. Highly recommend
Great Stay in Iquitos Peru
Friendly employees, very hospitable, great service! Would highly recommend to anyone.
People are nice hotel really needs updating
This hotel was very nice and has air conditioning. Other hotels don’t have air conditioning.😛
Nice hotel in good location
Good hotel in a good location.
I got injured while out on the Amazon river. I was able to relax and rest at this beautiful hotel for a couple of days. Food, drinks and room service were above and beyond. I cannot thank you enough for this great establishment
Convenient location with room service
Very impressed with Hilton as always!
There is no competition in Iquitos as this is the nicest hotel in Iquitos. That said, it’s not to the standard of a typical Hilton and is extremely overpriced for what it is. I was shocked they had a live band playing really loud on Friday night inside the hotel that makes it impossible to rest/sleep inside any room of the hotel, regardless of floor. I recommend checking out the Google reviews as it’s an ongoing issue for guests/tourists who have early morning tours. The buffet is good, but not $10 good but very convenient. They offer a shuttle that’s extremely overpriced for 110 soles, however you can get a car service from Iquitos airport for 45 soles with no reservation. I had one load of laundry and they charged me $45USD—convenient, yet terribly overpriced. All said, it’s a nice place with air conditioning and during the week it is relatively quiet. Keep in mind that these rooms are not sound pride in any way and you will hear traffic noise from the moto-taxis from the rooms on the front side of the hotel.
The area around the property is noisy but that's not necessarily a negative. It's Plaza de Armas it is expected to have a lot of people trying to sell you tours or other stuff. Just always be aware of those around you. Overall, the hotel is really nice. The food and drinks were superb. I recommend the Double Tree Iquitos and will return some day.
This hotel is quite overpriced for what it is. The rooms are not noise proof. If you stay in the front side of the hotel you will hear the tuk tuk motors and if you stay on the back side, you will hear the restaurant and pool noise. There is a disconnect in communication between the Expedia app and reception. I prepaid on the app and the hotel wanted to charge me again when I checked in. It was resolved because I had the receipt handy —but it took about 30 minutes. I also had staff knocking on my door (even with the do not disturb sign) telling me I needed to check out when my booking was until the next day. This took me about 30 minutes to resolve (again because I had the reservation receipt). The breakfast is a buffet has options for vegetarians. However, $10 USD is quite over-priced compared to other local options. However it is convenient! The atmosphere of the restaurant is loud and feels more like a roadside holiday inn than a Hilton. They do not accommodate an ayahuasca pre-diet. If you’re looking for a very nice meal, Dawn on the Amazon cafe is walking distance especially if you need vegetarian, vegan, or ayahuasca pre-diet options. For the price, I don’t feel like the hotel or restaurant is worth the price—especially with all the booking errors and impersonal service. I stayed at this place to treat myself, but am leaving here quite disappointed. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Iquitos for a fraction of the price w quiet rooms and much friendlier staff.
Nice location, a typical Hilton Hotel in terms of rooms, amenities, staff.
Nice hotel, good staff
The room was clean and there was plenty of lounge seating in the lobby area which was nice to work in and charge my phone while I waited for my room to be ready. Room service food was decent. Customer service was good. The only thing was that my room was facing the street and being in the very busy Plaza de Armas, the only times it wasn’t loud were between the hours of 130am and 6am. Mototaxis are up and down this street all the time and it is loud. It would be great if they took that into consideration and sound proofed the windows. Definitely take high quality, noise cancelling earbuds with you so you can sleep.
Beautiful hotel. Great restaurant.
Support local not these sharks
The fron desk women were nice at first untill I had guest which they then wouldn't let up into the room i paid for. It was really odd to me that they would deny my guest entrance into the hotel. Then on my last day I asked for a late check out and they said they couldn't due to no rooms available and new guest checking in at 2pm. So I booked another room in the same hotel and went downstairs to check into another room. They were shocked me getting another room with no availability because they were caught in a lie. They then said they could give me a late check out and would cancel my booking. I am still going back n forth with Hotels.com about that. Save your time n money and book down the street at Casa Roni directly. Support local and not these sharks Hotel.com and Hilton.
Iquitos is a town that does not feel welcoming to tourists, even though it is the passage to those visiting the Amazon.
Doubletree by Hilton is a great hotel , tucked away in a super bustling busy area. The inside is clean , elegant , safe and has a great staff. The outdoor pool area with full food service and bar is a great spot to relax and recharge. Highly recommend!
Okay
Very nice.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very patient with us. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. The restaurant food was tasty and well priced. Very easy check in and out.
One of the best hotels in Iquitos
little noisy.
My room has a terrible odor and they pretend to stay in that room, they moved later, and in the check out, they say that we damage the iron and they asked to pay, but we didn’t because we didn’t. But that was a bad experience for us.
Excellent hotel and staff
Almost great
This was a last min book and for being a 5 star in Iquitos it was quite nice and a good break from the weather but with most pricy hotels, you pay for everything. We had gotten a room that was facing the pool area, very nice and quiet. We were then changed to a different room due to a “mistake” that was facing the plaza, meh it was super loud and not calming at all when you want a break from all the buzz. There’s a carafe to heat up water which is always a plus for me so that I don’t have to keep going downstairs for my coffee or tea. There was a refrigerator that was unplugged but I was afraid to use because the outlet was already out of the wall and I was afraid to “actually” break it - I could’ve complained but I was already done and towards the end of my trip
Only problem here was there was no hot water when I tried it on both stages. We were leaving earlier than the breakfast buffet open so they made us a box to breakfast to go for early morning.
The front desk staff was more than helpful during check-in. Also, when I had trouble with a remote, they were very responsive.
My experience at Double Tree Hotel by Hilton was excellent, Edwing at the reception welcomed us with excellent professionalism and cordiality, my wife and I felt very comfortable and satisfied with the treatment and attention, cleanliness, cordiality, professionalism, help and care, I recommend this Hotel and on my next family visit to Iquitos it will surely be my option. Thank you all and especially to Edwing, continue providing that professional and careful service 👍
Ask a shuttle serivce that didn’t arrive on the day I requested. Arrived on the other day I don’t need shuttle from airport.
Ask if I can do can do a fast track laundry and said she will call to confirm but didn’t receive any call in the room.
Just stay for a night to get into the jungle the next morning. Awesome pool, great room service, and quickly and helpful receptionist.
The swimming pool and the Gym.
That place getting old and need renovations soon
My room faced the plaza de Armas. A heck of a lot of traffic noise. My only issue. otherwise a great hotel. Pool area is stunning and I enjoyed an afternoon swim as it was a hot day
Such a great place
Clean and comfortable after several days roughing it in the Amazon jungle. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Good hotel
We enjoyed our stay especially due to the barstaff named Rudy. He is a wonderful embassador for Hilton Double Tree and Iquitos. Made us feel very welcome and gave us helpful information about Iquitos which we found invaluable as we only had one day there. Excellent
Great stay. 5 star service
Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Great service!
Nice and clean. Good restaurant. Excellent service.
If I come back to Iquitos, I would stay here again. I would ask for a room facing the front of the hotel, because they have music at the pool area that goes on until midnight and it feels like is playing in your room if your room faces that way. I had foot reflexology at the spa that was wonderful. I had breakfast there once that although pricey for the area was very good. I liked the lobby very much. The first room i had was musty until the ac was running, then it smelled better. This one had a tub shower combination. The second room had been renovated so it was better.
Generally okay, but not worth the inflated price. The hotel is showing its age and could do with an overhaul: scuff marks, worn carpets etc. However, the main issue is the insanely loud music played all Sunday in the common pool area - had to shout to converse, and the sound was clearly audible in my room. Just not a relaxing place to spend time.
No not stay at this hotel if you plan on sleeping. Never stayed in louder hotel, the have speakers mounted to the floor, and play loud music day and night. Rooms are located on busy street with no sound proofing. Lobby is very nice but it is not the place to stay to sleep.
Good
I enjoyed my stay there. I only spent one night but it was a great night! The property was lovely and clean. The pool was a pleasant surprise because I didn't know there was one. The staff was professional and courteous. There was staff that spoke and understand English and that was comforting. The food was good and the live entertainment in the restaurant rocked! I would definitely stay here again but longer next time!
Nice hotel in a good location. All of The staff was friendly, welcoming and very professional. The music around the pool area was a little loud at night, but I do highly recommended the DoubleTree hotel when staying in Iquitos.
Nice hotel but I didn’t know that it was a party hotel. There was a live rock concert until midnight one night and very loud karaoke on another night. Both of which could be easily heard in the room and kept me from sleeping. Otherwise it’s a nice hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Stayed at this property on three occasions, for a total of 3 nights. Liked the location as it is central and easy to walk for local restaurants, shopping, with easy transportation at the door. Also, the hotel restaurant/bar have a very good and varied menu, with all exquisite food and quality - really enjoyed it.
I am traveling alone so I was worried about safety. The hotel staff are amazing. So helpful, attentive, speak English, friendly, and gracious. I say gracious because I had a lot of questions for my first day. It was worth the extra money for this piece of Mind. My room was clean, bed comfortable, and quiet. I didn’t hear anything. I are at the restraint next to the pool. Staff there wasn’t friendly and attentive. Salad with chicken looked pretty. Chciken was a little tough, but I buy local pasture raised organic chicken at home so I can be a little critical. Lol I originally booked a different hotel that was half the price, but it was canceled the day before my arrival due to plumbing issues. I am so happy it was.
The hotel was very well kept and the staff was very welcoming!
Fifth time to stay at this property and the only 1st world hotel. In the region.
excellent service and food.... the staff go beyond the call of duty.... the decor is very nice
Staff is great and location is great! Ask for Grace at the front and she will take care of you! Only thing you may want to bring are some ear plugs. You never know when the music outside might start . 3 am is not out of the question. Best location in all Iquitos!
This is a very nice hotel in Iquitos. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a very nice pool and hot tub that overflows into the pool below that makes for great ambiance!
The.best hotel in Iquitos, Peru. The Double Tree is the only Hotel which offers amenities, uses trajnedb staff and the best security for international clientele. Location is perfect to access the heart of city only minutes walk away from food, Amazon Market and nightlife. This is the only Hitel I recommend in Iquitos, Peru.
Very loud club music plays until about 12:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays in the pool area even if there are very few people there. They refuse to turn it down. They said they offered laundry service from 8 am - 4 pm but when I asked on Saturday at 2 pm (when I checked in) they said it was too late and to ask again in the morning. I called around 7:30 am to make sure I could turn my laundry in and they said they wouldn’t be able to get it done before I checked out at noon. I had one load. I also asked for a late checkout and they said they were not able to give me one. The bathroom and shower were dirty in my room. Something crusty was on the bathroom counter that I had to wipe off and there was black hair in the shower. I have blonde hair. When I called front desk and asked if they could tell my neighbors be quiet who were still partying very loudly at 2 am they said they would but then didn’t. I had to go down to the front desk to ask again. At that point the young man who I’d spoken to on the phone said he had been too busy to ask yet, but all he was doing when I got to the front desk was chatting with four other employees who were all standing around doing nothing. I had just spent a difficult two weeks in the Amazon with little sleep and was facing a 35 hr journey home the following day. I only needed two things from this hotel, clean laundry and some sleep. They failed greatly in providing them both and basically made me feel as if they couldn’t be bothered.
Very good hotel. clean, excellent location.
The rooms inside that look at the pool have single pane windows and the noise at night when you are trying to sleep is very loud. I would recommend staying in the inside rooms
5 star quality
Hotel was great! Surrounding area had restaurants, etc….but is rather run down. Looks like best hotel in the city from what I saw.
Seems like the nicest hotel in the area.
Location and security.
Front desk wasn’t very helpful in assisting us
The pool was great, also the restaurant was wonderful
it’s on the main square
No follow through
I have a disability and requested a late check in and to ensure that I had a room with a bathtub. I arrived and there were no rooms with a bathtub that night but they promised to move my things to a room in the morning - it never happened despite several requests. To be eco-friendly, they do not clean rooms while there. They did not, however, let me know and I left things on the floor to be cleaned because they were soiled (e.g., towels). There were a few requests made and in all but one, there was no follow through. I suspect that there is no better hotel in Iquitos, but this was not a nice experience.
Location centered City was Dirty
Sorry to leave such a bad review…:Dated property with poorly ventilated, moist/damp, smelly rooms. Not once did I achieve even a warm shower. The curtains were a struggle to open and close because the rod mechanism was destroyed with the ropes hanging and knotted. Then there was the drape itself…at first I thought dried blood but realized it was contents of the coffee maker splattered and dripped. The bathroom faucet was broken so water (a lot of it too) would run back and pool on the counter whenever I used it. The closet doors wouldn’t slide to open again without a struggle. Did I mention the shower? I sure did but let’s talk about that again. No pressure and no hot water at all!! The gym was a joke so I didn’t use it. The reception staff were nice but unable to resolve issues. The pool is nice but overrun with kids in diapers. The restaurant food not good, the staff friendly but service was extremely slow. This experience really made me feel like I never want to consider a doubletree hotel again or any other Marriott property. To me that bad.
Pool and Jacuzzi were not open. Location is great, right in the plaza. Few nice restaurants around, atm close
Enjoyed our stay. Stuff very helpful.
Hotel was as expected.
Excellent experience
Excellent Central Hotels
I loved this hotel. Centrally located, clean and well-run, I wouldn’t change a thing.
The Double Tree in Iquitos is very, very nice! The staff is wonderful and helpful, it’s a beautiful place with great design and really nice comfortable rooms, every accommodation, super careful with covid prevention, great food and delicious drinks, nice pool and even a poolside d.j. On fridays and Saturdays. Love it!!!! Will definitely stay there on my return trips to Iquitos.
Best place to stay in Iquitos. However was not up to typical Hilton standards. No oatmeal, only one towel in bathroom (no hand towel or floor towel). No non dairy creamy, No decaf coffee. Hotel property had deferred maintenance.
The good: hotel staff is friendly, restaurant food for dinner is good and the pool area is very nice. But that’s about it. Check in was frustrating because they insisted that our room didn’t include breakfast and that they had no way to check it. I had to wait until the wifi worked to prove it to them and then there was no apology. They did include it after that but the breakfast food was not even average. I paid for a king suite. The whirlpool tub did not work and the towels were frayed on the edges. Finally, one of our dinners took 45 min for a waiter to show up. We complained and they had to pull an employee from their events area to help us. The total dinner time was 2 hours! Not even all the tables were full we were shocked that they couldn’t pull this off. We spoke to a manager upon checkout who insisted the hotel was 5 star. We explained the above and they made a generous adjustment to our bill but be careful with this hotel.
Nicest hotel in Iquitos by far. Wifi actually worked in rooms. I think they throttle it eventually though because it seemed to slow down with heavy use. Stayed in other hotels in Iquitos and nothing came close to how nice this place was. Pricey for Iquitos but worth it if you want a hotel with modern feel.
Great hotel in great location. Staff very helpful
Nice place! Friendly staff!
Overall was a very good experience! Nice hotel, nice rooms! Only issue was you only had hot water in the morning and late evening for a hot shower!
Rudy is the best!!
For any weary traveler looking for an unquestionably comfortable nights sleep, this is the place. The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable. Service is also excellent. Rudy at the front desk has been there for two of my visits (July 2018 and November 2020) and he is there to solve any problem you may come across.
Great rooms - Great location
Only there for one night but will be back for more! Beautiful hotel - right in the centre f Iquitos. Great service!
The best of the Worst
I find it extremely interesting the number of 10 star reviews on here? Lets be clear on something, this is NOT a 4.5 star hotel. To be honest it is barely a 3 star. The Raddison I am writting this review from, right now is vastly superior. The food was disgusting in my opinion, and the construction of the building is shoddy and poor. Charging for bottled water in the room in a country where potable water is not available is a bit much and the service is hit and miss. However other posters are correct that it is by far the best option in the city, this is more a reflection of Iquitos than of the hotels quality however. On the plus side you get a great view of the main square where every Sunday they have a millitary parade to "keep the people happy" I have never been a massive fan of Hiltons to begin with, but this hotel was definately not up to the normal standard.
Seems to be the ONLY top notch hotel in Iquitos town centre and is up to the usual Hilton high stndards.
Iquitos is not a big place and this was definitely a nicer property. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We ended up doing tours a recommended by the hotel. Price was slightly higher, I am guessing due to commissions but it is a safe bet. Location is pretty good, right in the main square and a block from the river front.
Convenient location and landmark. Efficient check-in and check-out process. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms for restful stay. The restaurant on the lowest level was fine. One thing I wish were a little different was the TV and electrical outlets - the dish satellite TV somehow didn't work. Some of the electrical outlets also had no electricity. I stayed in 2 different rooms on 2 different nights. Both rooms had these minor issues.
I’ve had a really bad experience in this hotel, however this was dealt with by the staff in a good manner and professionally. The staff are really nice as they have looked after me after I had a little issue in the hotel. Although my stay in the hotel wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed the experience. I am happy with the outcome and how things were dealt with. The hotel is bit old fashion and needs refurbished. That said, I would come back again and stay in the this hotel for another adventure.
Nice pool. Clean rooms. Pricy since breakfast is not included.
Good location hut the property was going through renovations
Our room was on the 5th floor. It was very noisy due to construction on the floor above us. No rest for the weary!! I caled the front desk and asked for a room on one of the lower levels. After 15 min the front desk called to say that the construction would quit at 3:30. But they continued working til 5:30. Two nights at an expensive hotel with no rest.
Best the city has to offer and a great escape from the hustle

I was walked in my room by staff, they came in all the way into to the bathroom to see me nide and proceeded to talk to me like I’m this was normal. they did not knock to clean room
