Everything is good, but it is a little bit confusing to walk from station to hotel.
Do not eat here..
Service in restaurant is beyond dreadful I was sat at a table.. then after 25 mins i walked out.. I was.bored sick, not asked if i wanted a drink.. or a starter or anything.. was ore like 45 mins to be fair... This hotel has a poor restaurant.. eat out!
.
Good choice to see Anna voyage but other than that a bit too far out
The staff were nice and helpful regarding the stay. And the overall it was good, would recommend for others.
The shower was dirty, one of the receptionists cut me off when I was speaking to them on the phone - the gentleman who checked me in was lovely and helpful and daisy who I spoke to at check out was really nice. When we got to the room I noticed there was already a hole in the wall so I notified someone on reception so that I didn't get charged for it and he just completely dismissed my comment so I notified daisy upon check out who acknowledged it and made note of it on the system which should have been done when I first reported it. The bathroom was not very clean and the non slip mat had dried blood or something on it
Excellent
Liked breakfast Too far out from central London Noisy bed Noisy air con Good shower
Amazing experience
Amazing experience
Outstanding service
Excellent service. It was my little boy’s birthday and the staff made him feel very special.
The staff were so polite and friendly and allowed me and my travelling companion to check in earlier than the set time
Lovely hotels spacious , friendly, very comfortable and clean! I would highly recommend s staying here.
Very nice hotel to stay, staff are exceptional they will go to any means to provide a number one service to you so if you want to 1st Class Customer service then look no further we have been 5 or 6 times and every time it gets better and better, thanks
Stay if at Excel but location is not great. 10min walk through park/construction site. It’s an old hotel, lift not working but staff were great
Typical London. Pay top price for a room, parking on top. Pay for it all. Very expensive for not much at all.
Great transport link, walking distance to London city airport. On the river with great views. Very clean and modern. Dining / bar options closed early with customers directed to Just Eat
Bad layout, poor condition, not at the Excel
Lifts are through the main restaurant so you have to pick your way through packed diners and servers every time you enter/exit the building, extra awkward with bags. Bed rock solid and bedding smelt like stale water, air conditioning started an awful loud death banging at 3am with no apparent way to turn off - you can only adjust the thermostat. Claims to be 5 minutes walk from the Excel but it's actually 20+ minutes walk from the back entrance all around the roads - better off staying further away near a DLR/Liz stop and you'll spend less time in transit!
Weekend stay
Pleasant experience. Appreciated the extra water and snacks as nothing local in walk from DLR. Staff very helpful.
The only problem was that the bar closed at 11pm our group had been out for a meal and got back at 11pm to be told we could not have a drink.
Really terrific welcome Lovely size room Helpful and kind staff Bed was small and springs were rather noisy not very comfy Amenities in room really good Close to overland rail for the 02 and the city Very good value for money
Not anything special. A disappointment
For a double tree, a very unremarkable room with a ‘water view’. The room was in was so far round the building the promised water view was nothing short of a gap between a building. In checking out and picking up my back the staff member could not have been more uninterested
Super easy to get to the excel centre, only a short walk but a nice distance to go. Super easy to get around london, the dlr station is in perfect distance. A nice little bit of life around the hotel, with the pub just being over the road. Really good.
They forgot to book my early cab!
Needed a 5 am taxi to airport & booked with reception around 4pm the day before. Next morning 05:00, no taxi & reception knew nothing about it. Not good enough, i expect better from a Hilton hotel.
I'm a big fan of DoubleTree but this one was a little lacklustre. To be fair, check-in was superb. Staff is incredible, and they made the experience so easy. Quick check-in, and checkout. Easy to charge things to the room and pay. Dinner was disappointing. It was pricey and the quality was mediocre at best - I can cook better at home. In the room, we had no mini-fridge which was disappointing. Would I stay here again, yes, but I would probably eat out or order takeaway, or just stick to burger and chips.
Ok
Cookies and Cupcakes
It was our anniversary and they left us some amazing cupcakes in our room to say congrats, which was so lovely. They were also welcoming guests at check in with these ridiculously delicious warm cookies… I still dream about them. Bed was super comfy. The only thing I’d ask for improvement is to make the TV a smart tv, so that we can access our Netflix etc, but it’s not a big deal at all. The baked goods up for it
Hotel was great, bed really comfortable, and the whole site was very clean. The breakfast was varied, but the hot food was a little cold unfortunately.
Room had a strange smell, other than that pretty clean
Front desk attendents were friendly and helpful. Communications needed to be available for breakfast prices and types of breakfasts. Maybe post it at the entrance. Staff had to scurry around for a breakfast menu when we asked. Room felt very tight once the sofa bed was out. Perhaps not rate this room as a family room but a regular room so we don’t get our expectation dashed. This room was a bit strange in the bathroom mirror had a two square feet area that didn’t fog up after a shower. Be warned there is no good options for food here . The only good place is a Chinese restaurant. Food is quite good but they are not available for breakfast.
Easy, affordable and clean. The decor of the inside of the building done to high standards.
Good hotel, but a long walk from the Custom House Elizabeth line station.
There was no fridge in the room to keep water or milk cold or any other drinks for that matter. All Hilton hotels should provide a fridge in the rooms i paid £195 a night for a deluxe room really not happy about that. I expected a fridge in my room and having to pay a charge to have food in my room not expectable. Also the lighting in the room and bathroom is bad. that needs looking at. We had people on the river with a drone looking in our room not good either. Also I told the cleaner that i did not need her to clean my room or empty the bin. To my surprise when I came back from restaurant to order food, I found her in my room why ? I already told her not to worry many times - if a customer says no then they should respect that.
Very friendly and helpful staff Clean and tidy and lovely lounge bar
A great hotel with friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Handy for London City airport. Food is pricey.
Absolutely disappointed with the service and the condition of the room. Very bad odour in room and things were broken and missing. We spent the first 3 hours trying to get someone to come and sort these issues out. We asked for a change in room but the manager said no due to us booking though Expedia. He said if we booked directly through them then they wok
The actual Hotel was ok and staff were friendly and the food was good. The room was small not an accessible room like it was meant to be, could not open a window on an extremely hot day. Bed was like a concrete slab. Bathroom sink had 3 cracks in it, shower overflowed and flooded bathroom floor and into bedroom. Room smelt of damp and mould. Road works all around the hotel and also next to Airport runway
Lovely stay, even got warm cookies on arrival
The aircon was loud and impossible to turn off. I called down to reception who said it would turn off by itself but it did not. It was like being next to an airplane taking off all night, so I didn’t sleep at all. I usually like DoubeTrees so this was a huge disappointment. Service was friendly though.
Very uncomfortable bed, bathroom dated.
Friendly staff, easy check in, great location with easy access to transport into Central London
Staff fantastic
Comfortable
Comfortable as usual.
Comfortable and convenient
Comfortable, but room quote small. But did what we needed.
Overall ease checking in and out. Used restaurant and bar with excellent service. If we're in the area we will definitely use this hotel again!
Comfortably
Comfortable stay
Comfortable stay
Really clean and comfortable stay. Lovely room: it’s spacious, bed is comfortable and bathroom was good. A few amenities could have been added (slippers and hair comb), but otherwise, well accommodated.
Overall my stay was good. Wasn’t given a cookie at checkin as they have no vegan alternative, in 2024 in the uk that’s shocking. The room was bigger than I was expecting so that was nice. There was hair on the table so cleaners either missed it or it was theirs. At breakfast staff were helpful. Decent vegan options. They also have gluten free items if you need that. As the property is close to city airport it’s very loud when planes are near. Only stayed one night as was at an event at the ExCel centre the next day, perfect for that.
.
It is one of my worst stays in a hotel. The directions to the hotel were not up to date as there is building and road works. Around the hotel where building work was going on could have been sealed off better with better access. The rom was OK but felt more like a 3 star hotel. Another guest complained of phoning reception and no answer. I had the same experience and had to call 4 times to get through prior to srrivsl. No instructions on how to control the air conditioning. The staff were OK when I complained 3 times about the loud voices, shouting, loud music, banging on floors, walls and doors from other guests?
Ok but aggressive parking company
Hotel is fine but watch out for the parking on site. £15 for 24 hours and they are very strict ( external company ) This would put me off staying again.
It was right by the station and had a nice view of the river. There are definitely great spots around Canary Wharf and Common House. The bathroom layout is weird and the room was a little small.
Comfortable with good transport links into the City.
Great hotel
A wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. We were given a free room upgrade, which was an absolute bonus & a great start to our trip.
The surrounding area is dangerous to walk in
Great location to access the Excel Convention Centre. The hotel offered great service, with friendly staff and Fitness and restaurant amenities. However, the bed we gad was not comfortable, bumpy and squeaky. Thanks
Great stay
Great location
The stay was lovely, hotel was in a great location
A Queen River room would have been nice
The place was exceptionally nice and staff were friendly
Hotel room was very clean and service is great! Thank you for the mini fridge and the complimentary snacks!
Everything was very nice except for the pillows. They were probably the worst pillows I’ve ever slept on
I had a great time at this hotel. I will definitely be back.
Lovely weekend getaway
Wonderful stay. Everyone so friendly, everything so clean. Lots of little touches to make the stay special - like a warm cookie in arrival and snacks with our drinks. Couldn’t ask for more from the staff. Lovely room with a river view. Big bathroom with walk in shower. Large TV. Spotlessly clean. Only gripe was the bed was far too hard and noisy neighbours through the night but it didn’t ruin our stay. Ideal to travel to central London via DLR - about 6 mins walk. Great to have lots of parking too. Will be back next time we head to London.

Last minute surprise booking for gf birthday, was amazing and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to king suite. Very nice service, and great chilled bar downstairs. It is slightly out of central London, however from Liverpool Street it’s only one line you have to catch (Elizabeth Line) or the DLR
The room was for wheelchair access, did not like the bathroom experience although it was fully adequate. I was offered a change but i think i was misunderstood in requesting the change and was not enough of an issue to persue as I was late for an event. I felt the cost was high for what the room was.
Nice hotel
Friendly staff are efficient service. We were given complimentary warm cookies on arrival which was a nice touch.
Fab stay!
The hotel location was perfect. However, there should be a fridge in the room, considering a hotel of this class.
Lovely hotel
Fantastic staff always make you welcom
amazing stay, super clean, got my room upgraded and the room decorations were so cute!
Freindly staff
Lovely stay for my daughter's birthday. Everything was perfect. Staff went above and beyond to make it a special stay. Would definitely stay again. The cookies were lovely and a nice touch! Thank you.
Great overnight stay
Great location and super clean.
Our room was exceptionally clean. The air con wouldn’t turn off which was a nuisance and we did report it. They tried to fix it but couldn’t. The coffee machine didn’t work properly either as the pods wouldn’t pierce so it kept giving me cups of water. Fortunately there was a kettle too so I used that instead. The bathroom was spotless!
Great Hotel
Great hotel friendly and helpful staff
We have stayed at this hotel before and agin today, but this time the the room had dirt in and carpet was ripped, bed was very uncomfortable it was not the normal double bed it was with wheels, squeaked alot. I feel i would need a refund or part of it.
Good hotel for Excel
I chose this hotel for the location as I was going to an event at the O2 Arena. Unfortunately the surrounding area is a bit of a building site at the moment but the public transport links are great and there is very good signage around directing people to the hotel. The hotel itself was really good, lovely bathroom and all very clean. The bar was also very nice.
Excellent service , clean
Very lovely hotel, very quiet, very clean . The only negative is the heating
All as expected
The staff were great and very helpful and the hotel as a whole was very nice but our actual room was a bit of a letdown. I booked an accessible room and the first issue was that the AC wasn’t working. It took a couple of calls but after an hour and a bit, someone came up and confirmed that it was blowing out at 21°C despite being on the coldest setting. Ultimately, the only solution was bringing a fan up to our room which helped with some of the heat but not all of it. The staff member who brought the fan up even commented that our room felt humid. The other issue was the bathroom; because it was an accessible room, it was a wet room-style (which made it so much easier with my mobility issues!). Unfortunately, the entire bathroom flooded from my 10-minute shower and none of the water drained. My husband also had to shower so we left it for half an hour, thinking it was just taking it’s time to drain but when he opened the door, it was still full of cold standing water. Luckily this was the morning we checked out because we weren’t able to get back into the bathroom because the water never significantly drained and we didn’t have suitable shoes. Upon checkout, my husband said that he alerted the front desk because I was mortified to leave the bathroom in that state but there was nothing we could do. Overall, the hotel is lovely and the location is fantastic! The breakfast buffet was amazing as well; I couldn’t believe all of the dairy-free options.
I love the view and how cleaniness it is.
We checked it late they has issue with it. We ordered vegetarian breakfast and served us meat .they don’t understand English
Room sub standard
Good hotel. Our room was quite noisy with the ventilation going all night and was really hot in the room. Did sleep pretty well though. Over is a good place to stay. Breakfast is really good, plenty of selection. Is really handy for the skyliner to the o2 and close to the DLR.
I was recently stuck in the left elevator for 30 minutes, and despite my attempts to call emergency services, there was no response. This is an unacceptable situation that needs to be addressed immediately as it could have potentially been a dangerous situation. It is essential that all elevators are properly maintained and functioning correctly at all times for safety reasons.
Smile please with clean plates
Hotel is nice and lovely to stay. Only downside was the plates and bowls in breakfast area were dirty and not cleaned properly. All staff working in the breakfast area on Saturday and Sunday for some reason seemed very miserable and not even one had a smile on their faces.
Worth a stay.
The hotel itself was much better then it had been before. Last time we stayed before covid we had the wrong room and had a rude experience. This time round it was much better, friendly staff, clean and tidy. The only issue I had was that the room was so hot and you can’t open the window, we had the aircon on the entire time but still so so warm.
The bar was really nice and the staff was excellent
Fantastic
Great stay. Wonderful food and quick check in and out.
This property was average, not very impressed with the cleanliness or the service.
The hotel clean and the staff were good, but the room doesn’t have a refrigerator and very small and also I can’t control the temperature climate of the room because it’s very limited control.
Loving everything. Love the view😊🤗 THANK YOU MUCH🤍❤
Poor meals option
The room is good
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was great (we visited during a heatwave). 20 minutes into the center of London on the DLR, but also great restaurant and bar on premises plus another pub next door. So convenient to LCY. Can recommend highly!
