Nice restaurant

Check in process was very slow. Even though there were 3 person in front of me. The whole check in process took me half an hour. Room had a smell but it was gone after awhile. Housekeeping was very slow. Was out for a couple of hours, when I came back, the room was not tidied up. But the staff were all very nice and smiley.

Stayed 3 nights. This Doubletrees was not as plush as the one as in Seattle. However, the breakfast buffet was the best in JB. Staff were friendly.

Beautifully maintained and very comfortable. Not many shops and eateries around so less convenient if you need a late night snack or early breakfast - unless you eat in the hotel. Walking to the nearest mall takes about 15 mins depending on pace.

4-generation Family trip

This is my 2nd visit to the same hotel with family member of 35. Racheal front-desk staff who handle our family Check-in and check-out was efficient and friendly.

4th generation Family trip

Check-in was very smooth despite so many rooms with different need. It was pleasant surprise to have front-desk staff Racheal to handle our check-in and check-out with no hickup as compare to my last year visit. Everything was good for a family of 35 pax except for toilet biget spray in one of the was leaking and not wheelchair family.

The hotel was great, room was large and comfortable and the staff in particular was amazing - friendly and professional. The biggest drawback is the hotel's location, surrounded by construction and it's not a particularly convenient or walkable area. You'll need transport to get anywhere.

Check in was smooth and front desk Jufli is very service oriented who helps with ease of checking in and out process.

We were given warm delicious cookies on arrival. The staff were very welcoming and our room was clean and cozy. It’s a beautiful hotel and will most definitely stay again. We actually stayed at the Peneng location then came to Johor Bahru.

Is a great stay in this hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean. Bed is comfortable. Lives the welcome cookies..delicious! But not so fancy about the breakfast. Fruits selection is limited. Food selection is wide but not 5 stars taste. Loves the food at Tosca. Will give a 7 stars rating.

room is so clean even the details in the bathroom and this is hard to find in Malaysia. Staffs are all so polite, I feel so welcome here. Food quality can be improve in the lounge and will be nice if cocktail hours can be extended.

Disappointment Stay

The stay was okays until we found bed buds clawing out from my daughters pillow. Immediately called the front desk, house keeping guy was sent up n confirmed is bed bugs. Took photos,called his boss. The guy wss good, apologise to us regarding the unpleasant experience we had . Hotel offer to us changed of room (i mean we have to except it bcos is like close to 2am) waited for someone to pass us the new room key, when the reception staff arrived at hotel room door step, he give us a look like we are causing him inconvenience, pass us the key, didn't said anything , not even bothered to offer to send us to the new hotel room, go to the lift lobby and can't wait to go dowm, leaving us in shock. The whole night until we checked out, no one bother to reached out to us, checking are we alright, how are we doing after traumatised by the bed bugs. Feedback to the manager on duty only given his name card said will be dropping me an email regarding the whole incident. I am kind of disappointed with Hilton Group services. I can provide the bed buds clawing picture if requested

Though a bit of walking distance from city square, it is easier to grab transport and the room is nice and cosy

Okay standard

Bad check in and check out experience. For the check out in particular, staff was attending me and other people jumped the queue and he decided to serve him first. The speed was slow so I ended up checking out for more than 30 mins.

The walls are quite thin, can hear ppl walking and talking. Also they charge RM5 for a set of utensils. But the chocolate chip cookie when you check in was a nice touch! I like their pillow menu too!

Poor sound proofing.

Overall not much complain less the sound proofing. Even though we are at a corner suite, the noise from fellow travellers can still be heard. Especially the loud bang when room doors are being closed. Other than that all is what you can expect from a reputable hotel chain.

I always stay at Hilton whenever I am in Johor. While I could have choose others for their better location, Hilton services and dining food quality made up for it. Not for this stay though. The careline manager and front desk both acknowledged my request for a slice of cake for my wife birthday... and they totally forgot about it. Hopefully it was a one time off outliner.

So happy to get the welcome cookie as always. Convenient location to where we needed to go.

The staff were nice and friendly. Though it is just a short walk from CIQ, there was no proper crossing that leads to the hotel. The hotel gave a small cake and the staff wrote a card for birthday celebration which was really sweet. Overall was a nice stay.

Walkable to City Square, with good choice of food around the area. We checked in late after 9pm, and the rooms are ready. We are blessed to have a late check out. Free cookies given by the reception. There is a spa in the hotel, but we went to the one across the road which operates till 1am.

Great stay!

Great stay at Hilton. The suite was spacious and could accommodate an additional bed for my daughter. Housekeeping polite and accommodating to our needs. Only thing is that the tissue box in the toilet is rusty.

Check-in was fast & express check-out is available. Breakfast great as usual. Room clean & able to provide additional towels & pillows for my child. Staff always ready to help and approachable. Keep it up 👍

Excellent stay and value for Money .

The hotel was excellent for my trip . Rooms quite spacious , having Qibla direct marked in roof . Cleanliness was top class . Breakfast spreads were extensive. Different cuisine available .. even you can get specially made fresh juice . Front desk and restaurant staff were very prompt to respond and helpful . Market , eateries are nearby ..There is a nice prayer place in 11th floor ..

Rooms are clean. Food has alot of varieties. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Pleasant stay

Staff is very friendly and feel welcome. Breakfast with varieties. The bed is soft that hardly can sleep well. Good that can choose a pillow that you want. Hotel to shopping mall is about 5 to 10 mins. But will not try to go out at night because along the way is quiet. Overall the stay is good.

Awesome stay

Awesome hospitality from checkin till checkout. Huge bed, huge room, strong shower. Love the crabtree lotions, shampoo, bodywash! However only 1 thing to dislike. The parking entry need to get a ticket from the machine, if using TnG card, you cant validate it for free parking. While it is stated upon entry, i think the display could be more prominent like right beside the tapping of TnG card. Or send an email to the guest to inform them before we checkin.

There was one issue encountered during the check-in process. I had inquired about the suitability of the swimming pool for children, but the response I received indicated uncertainty.

Rooms with no view and small for triple occupancy

The room was small for triple occupancy. Our room had no view at all. In fact half of the rooms in this hotel are facing inwards facing other wings of the hotel building. So, i suggest do not offer this hotel as a choice for family vacation. 6 room nights were booked but found it wanting.

Holiday stay with family

Booked a 2 bedroom suite. Living room air fan is cranking when you turn it on. Breakfast quality is lacking. Dim sum was hard and tasteless. If you want to access to the lounge. Do remember the cocktail is only 5.30pm to 7.30pm. very short period. Of course overall the staff service is still as good as before.

Bathroom very spatial and equipped with nice shelf, good drainage without odor. Bed is comfortable． Staff is prompt and generous

Good location. Rooms clean with good amenties. Good service. Gym and pool are decent for a hotel. Minot gripe is design of shower area which might flood the sink area

2 rooms 2 nights family stay

Good location. Not so smooth check in, arrive at 3:41PM yet no room for me and my family. Sound proof not good, stay at level 21 still can hear student making noise in the morning.

Excellent hotel in Johor

Amazing stay at Doubletree. Check-in was a breeze and each guest was given a freshly baked hot cookie. Connecting room was arranged on the second day, when not available on the first day. Hotel room was very clean and spacious. Definitely will stay here the next time

Clean condition and friendly staff

Wonderful stay.

From the minute we came down from the grab car, to the reception, to the restaurant staff, to the staff at the lounge, everyone was so polite and welcoming. They let us check in early. On top of that the lounge was with free flow of drinks and snacks. Location was good also. Buffet breakfast was excellent too. They had a wonderful and good spread of food.

Run down hotel but friendly staff

The photos looked promising but the hotel was run down and dirty. Towels were stained, there was mould under the sink and in several places around the room. Paint was peeling off from moisture. I was not a fan of the strong perfumed smell in the lobby and also in the room - and when that smell left, was replaced by faint cigarette smoke. The steam room and bathrooms around the pool were also run down and I decided not to use those facilities. I did not enjoy this stay so much. Having said that the staff were very friendly.

Excellent service. Good food (breakfast & dinner) Rooms are well maintained & clean. Very convenient to travel around. Excellent front desk service. Great gym, pools, sauna & steam room. A place to relax and rejuvenate. Place for those who need a recharge.

Room was big and spacious but the air conditioning felt weak which was disappointing. About 10 mins walk from City Square Mall to hotel

Impeccable customer service from reception to room service to makan kitchen staff to concierge… everyone was very courteous and friendly.

Fantastic stay at the hotel, with the staff being very helpful and welcoming right from the start. Carpark entrance was a bit strange, as it only allows for one way traffic. Security guards are stationed there to facilitate the flow.

Hotel and staff were fantastic and the food was excellent. The only negative is there isn't anything around within walking distance as far as restaurants and shops. This was not a problem for me but as a new visitor to Malayasia i would have liked to explore more in the linited time i had at the hotel.

Good room. Pleasant and helpful.staff

Initially planned to stay from 19-25 February but had to check out on 23 February to return back to Singapore due to a family emergency. Duty manager Ms Rachel Tan was very helpful and we got a refund back from the hotel after Expedia raised a refund request. Repeated stays at the hotel as we are very happy with the service and will definitely choose Doubletree Hilton again for our next trip.

It is disappointing that after paying for a suite, Hilton still holds "free wifi" hostage by demanding you sign up for yet another loyalty program no one wants. No I do not want to join, I never did, and your competitor hotels do not engage in such invasive behavior.
