Great hotel with an amazing staff

It was a less than smooth operation at an old Doubletree! This weekend trip in mid January was hindered by inconsistent key panel operations, (left out in cold and hallway several times), janitorial services unresponsive to towel request, and I'm sorry but I'd like to believe that a warm cup of coffee might be a simple service for everyone, not just those awake before 7am! Plus, there's a need to charge $20 for a breakfast most include with stay? Too far. This all pales to the biggest insult. With a check out time of 11 am on 1/27, I'm terrified to hear my door open. I raise up, irritatingly ask about check out being 11, no response, door just shuts. This is completely unacceptable. Run and I open the door to find nada and management who said they would look into it. There was very little service of comfort and safety. Hopefully things get better under new ownership.

Manager was rude when i complained about being lied to about why water was shut off. I was told they are testing the system. It will be on in 20 minutes. Several hours later manager said they were working on the problem and didnt know when it would be back on.ended up having cold water only before i went to bed without being able to shower cuz there was no hot water

I didn’t like that they didn’t give a notice that the water was going to be turned off. I worked out and when I returned to my room I could not take a shower and I had to go to work. Good thing I work in a hospital that I was able to wash up.

Room Quality

My room door didn’t lock properly and since the building is being renovated you’d at times hear the sounds of it. Also this has nothing to do with the room but good luck getting food around there past 10pm, you’ll have to go a bit far from the hotel or order but your options are limited either way

It use to be a Double Tree, so it’s a nice hotel! Hopefully they keep it up to date, and in good condition! Staff was very friendly! Room was nice with comfortable beds!

Hotel is in need of an upgrade and was in fact in the middle of a renovation. Limited parking. Front entrances were not all in use. Desk clerk was friendly and helpful, found a room on first floor at my request. Room needs more usb ports. Bed was very comfortable. Did not appreciate the connecting door to another room.

It was a decent hotel. Got what I paid for. However I wish it was advertised that the breakfast wasn’t free. It cost $21 for some measly breakfast buffet and baked goods. Definitely not worth the money.

The room was not cleaned properly, it seems as though all they do is make the bed, no dusting, no cleaning the tub/shower, no cleaning the sink or toilet. I only stayed one night, and would NOT stay again.

Best stay in Columbus

Good experience, the hotel where I stayed doubletree hotel by Hilton on 175 Hutchinson ave Columbus Ohio will be changing to Wilhelm so hopefully they stay as good

Everything was great. The manager is over the top nice and friendly. Only downside of this hotel is breakfast is not included.

Hotel couldn't find our Expedia reservation and Expedia was no help.

They didn’t want to put towels out in the pool area. Staff didn’t clean up some kind of dirty, but it was adequate for what I needed. Enjoyed it.

We had a comfortable one night stay. We loved the hot tub!

The front desk staff was beyond friendly and accommodating!! The property is under renovations but it was quiet. The only complaint would be the breakfast, at $21 a person it was severely lacking to what other hotels that I have stayed at offer for free breakfast.

The rooms were fine, but the hallways were under construction and looked outdated

This property is definitely from a bygone era. A hidden jem. Would highly recommend.

My wife’s car wouldn’t start in the morning and Terry their maintenance guy jump started her car instead of calling a tow truck. The lady at the front desk Aleesha went above and beyond making sure she and my daughters were cared for.

First room we checked into smelled of cigarette smoke terribly. After calling front desk, they did move us. Rooms are not very clean, very dated.

Pool and hot was nice we had a great time

Breakfast is $20/person and the restaurant bar in the lobby is pricey. I would recommend DoorDash or takeout instead.

Property is being renovated so it a little out of sorts. Room was nice and a great price. Breakfast was horrible.

No hot water, lamps didn't work, TV didn't work

I can see the potential in the property. We have the opportunity to stay anywhere donut it’s the stall that keeps u coming back

My car including several others got broken into and people were trying to get into our room

Pros- front desk employees were great. Cons- smelled like wet dogs, loud construction, elevators gave a unsafe feel with the jerking and clanking noises, bathtubs were decorated in black mold, the hair on the drain was gross, the mildew in the tile is nasty, tiny cramped room, broken furniture, plugs don’t work, no hand soap, paper thin walls, curtains have water stains or I hope that was water….Overall the worst Embassy Suites ever.

Staff was supper helpful. Would highly recommend.

My vehicle, along with multiple other vehicles in the lot, was broken into during my stay. Parking lot lighting and security was poor.

It was clean, quiet and the room was big. It’s under construction and I hope they fix the elevator which seemed like it was in good working order.

The property is undergoing a renovation so the high standards were not visible which is temporary. The staff was excellent. Polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Kudos to the night manager at 3AM on Wednesday 11/13 who went out of her way to accommodate my need which was very helpful.

I had my window broken out along with other cars in the parking lot. Car was rummaged through, thank god we took our stuff in over night. Only after that they decided to have security in the parking lot. Didn’t stay my second night

Was one of twenty smash and grab victims overnight. No security. No cameras in parking lot.

I booked 3 days for my b day and anniversary. The first night over 20 cars were vandalized. Windows broken in. The halways to each floor were being renovated. This means every night and morning u would be woken up to them pulled wood and signs off the walls. Wood peices and nails on the floor. Constant construction. Our room smelled like fish and mold. You cant use thier wifi unless you pay daily for it. Breakfast is 21.75 per person and the breakfast is normal food they serve for free at other hotels. We asked day one for a refund so we could leave. They wouldnt refund us and told us we could leave if we wanted but not with any money we paid. The bathroom door hit the light on the ceiling so the door would only open half way. There was no trash cans at all in the whole room... i couldnt get any hot water to come out of the shower. We couldnt shower for 3 days. We bought a electric tea kettel from walmart to warm water to fill the sink to wash our bodys. We went to the front desk about all this. Noone cared at all. We wanted to leave but we drove 4 hours to get there and had tickets to the other world so we just rolled with the punches. I have pictures and videos of everythign we went through. I wish i could post them here. Please dont choose this place to stay. Ur better off camping in the woods. This whole ordeal was traumatizing. The only thing the hotel did was give us a new fridge because they said that was probably what the fish and mold smell was.

I forfeited $172 because I refused to stay the second night!!!! The facilities were terrible, terrible lighting, and the car parked next to be got broken into. The staff were nice to check in, but couldn’t get them on the phone, didn’t have trash bags in trash can. Remote controller for tv was even broken, and the bed was so uncomfortable. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

A lot of debris from renovations throughout the hotel. Room could have been cleaner. The staff was great. Multiple cars got broken into in the parking lot over night.

You didn’t tell them I changed from 2 nights to 1 so I got charged for 2

The property from the outside was beautiful The inside not so much My room had old food in the refrigerator and a dirty face mask upon entering the room which tells me that the room was not cleaned whatsoever. I had to have my room key recorded three times. Staying on the fourth floor at the end of the hallway this was very inconvenient.

We had a great stay! We traveled with family, friends, and pets! The staff was super friendly and accommodating! Love that they were pet friendly and put us on the first floor for easy access outside!

I love the fact that it’s a very nice and affordable hotel. Also, I love the fact that all the customers that checks in gets offered a free delicious chocolate chip cookie. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that housekeeping not speaking English and needed to translator between us to understand each other.

Made to feel very welcome. All the staff was very friendly & helpful. The security guy was nice to see when we first turned up & was made to feel secure there. The lady at the breakfast diner went above & beyond for us & made sure we enjoyed our breakfast. Wonderful experience at this hotel.

Not a Great Deal, Beware

Stayed for an extended business trip for 9 nights. Found bedbugs on third night and was moved to another room. Also experienced poor upkeep of hotel in general, and black mold in picture frame in bath. At least one light in both rooms were burned out. I will not be returning.

My stay was great but the property is currently under Reno so it was kinda out of sorts in the hall my room was great though

The frount evening staff was really rud i booked my room 7 monthes ago and then theybdouble booked alot of room i drove 960 and was greeted pourly the rooms are very out dadyed and need some major maintenance. Pillows were good

Very clean, pleople there super nice, I had to pay for breakfast but it was worth it, I order some extra towels and never arrived. Overall super satisfied.
