Room is spacious and clean. Ceiling lighting is not enough. Shower is good and warm enough. Need more pillows (both soft and firm). Good location as it is just above the metro station, across from the park, supermarkets, restaurants and convenience store nearby. Walking distance to SNIEC.

Friendly staff. Spacious and odorless room. despite being a bit dated (have some signs of wearing on the walls), the hotel condition is well maintained. Housekeeping was great too. Good location, literally connected to exit 4 of the Century Park metro station (but this is without lift access, so would recommend to take exit 1 if you need the lift).

Was really damped and dirty, the hotel is not like pictures it has seen better years. I felt unsafe regarding the people in the area, and some make guests.

Most delightful stay

Reception and housekeeping were particularly friendly and helpful. Location was in a most serene and calm part of Shanghai, with extremely convenient undergound links to the airports, train stations, and major sightseeing spots.

Friendly staff, spacious room and great location

The hotel has an excellent location. The metro station is under the hotel building and the expo center is 1km away within walking distance. There are three shopping malls with plenty of restaurant options, each around 1km away in different direction. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I had tens of deliveries from online shopping. The reception helped receive those and send those packages to my room daily throughout my stay. The twin room I booked is spacious. The only disappointment is the breakfast selections. I think it is more friendly for foreigners than local Chinese. But overall, I highly recommend it.

Helpful staff, great view

Food was great, service at the front desk and restaurant was impeccable. Central to a lot of things. Beds were comfortable, a/c was a bit spotty, but wasn’t horrible. So quiet, so clean.

A great priority in an awesome location for trains, park, shopping. Highly recommend.

Great value

Great value, very affordable and convenient. The subway station, line 2, a direct line to the Maglev and Pudong airport, is situated adjacent to the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful especially Aiosa whose charm and smiling face at the breakfast venue on the second floor was always a great way to start off the day.

Ideal location for use of Metro. Tidy hotel, very nice smelling common areas. DIY laundry options. Booked 2 rooms, one was slightly nicer then the other as one smelt a bit musty overall rooms both very clean just slightly dated. Friendly housekeeping staff. Good location for cheap eats.

Very convenient

Excellent location, it's right next to the metro station and the park. Everyone was friendly and welcoming—the receptionist, concierge staff, and the cleaner. I had parcels delivered to the hotel, and they were very kind, taking them to my room and disposing of the packaging for me. The bellman helped carry my heavy luggage during check-out, which I greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again next time.

When arriving at Shanghai Pudong Airport, it's my favourite place to stay before moving onwards. Convenient access to the Metro system from Pudong airport and into the rest of the city, and right next to the Century Park.

When I checked in, the staff claimed that he upgraded me to a better room for free, but the room was not good (small and you have to climb steep stairs to get to the bedroom). So I asked to have the room I booked. And he gave me the room. The breakfast started at 6:30AM, but most of the food was not there until 6:45AM. I had to rush and ate what was available because I had to leave at 7:10AM.

Steps from Century Park; And hotel door is connected to metro line 2 ( to airport and downtown) exit #4, it's super convenient. Breakfast is great!

Really like and recommend the hotel, lots of attention to details. Friendly staff. Nice room with balcony, TV had some English Channels. It is the first hotel where the internet actually worked! Optional breakfast was good. I like the (free) laundry room, there is also a gym and a business center Also the hotel is located right next to the Line 2 Metro, Century Park stop, Exit 4 (line that goes to both airport and the Hongqiao Train Station). It takes 45 minutes to go to the Pudong airport.

Rooms and bathrooms are showing their age but are very clean and comfortable. My room was terrific value. It is accessible directly from Exit 4 of Century Park Metro on Line 2. I used it as an overnighter before a flight from PuDong and jumped onto the metro the next morning. All very easy. I will use it again for this purpose.

The bed was/is good. Kind staff. 25 minutes walking distance to SNIEC. Room, bath room does need a small refurnishment at some spots, such as lower wll area in the bath room at the shower cabine. Fauset needs to be re-newed. Minibar not filled. Hotel bar always empty of people ;-(

Convenient location and friendly staff

This hotel is right on subway line #2, very convenient to get to both the Pudong and Hongqiao airports. It is next to the Century Park and within walking distance to the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Tom helped me call two shopping centers, asking whether they have shops for luggage that I was looking for.

Subway station next door to hotel, which is one stop away from the Science & Tech museum MRT stop (which is where the market is). Hotel is opposite Century Park, which makes for a nice walk. Nice room. Decent choices for breakfast. If looking for western style food, choices are a bit limited nearby (there's a KFC very close though!). Suggest taking the subway to Lujiazui (Line 2 - which has a atop next to the hotel) and go for a walk there. Its also near the Oriental Pearl and shopping malls. Hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming, and spoke good English.

It is opposite the park which is perfect for nature walks in the morning evening. The subway is just below the hotel and it goes directly to the city area like nanjing road and airport. The convenience store is around the corner and kerry shopping mall is 15 minutes walk away.

It's reasonably good. Good location, close to transport and a convenient store just downstairs.

Like the location a lot. It’s 2 steps away from the subway station exit 4, when we arrived it was raining and we didn’t get wet at all. It really surprised us that the subway entrance is so closed to the hotel side corridor. Many good restaurants around the hotel. Century park is right cross the street. Nice view from the hotel

The hotel is at a very accessible location. There is one door that opens directly at the entrance of metro station. Direct line (2) to both the Shanghai airports. Breakfast is good. Room was comfy and clean. There is nothing to complain about except the wifi internet speed. It could’ve been faster.

Absolutely useless when it comes to food. Breakfast was, at best, average but it was impossible to eat in the evenings. And, as they were unable to fit in a single diner once during my 4 night stay, I had to live on takeaways from the KFC next door as there was nowhere else locally. Room was scruffy with the aircon pumping out hot air (25c for the duration, apparently it was set centrally so that you had to have what the management deemed you needed. The only way to adjust the temperature was by opening the window). Really disappointing.

Quite convenient for traveling from airport & around. The hotel is at Century Park station exit 4. The room was big and clean. Although there is nothing much to do except for century park nearby, you could travel to Longyang road or Lujiazui on Line 2 if you want to see more vibrant side of the city.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The food at the buffet table are fresh and of a good variety. The hotel is just on the top of the Century Park Metro station. It is very convenient to travel to anywhere from the hotel.

Well English speaking staff at the front desk , subway is right off the back door of the hotel. Walking distance from the restaurants and the convenience stores plus more.. the Central Park is right across from the hotel .

What i dislike is a full carpet hotel room where bed bugs could be hiding somewhere dark. I spotted a few baby cockroaches . It could be an isolated issue and i could close an eye for it. everything in this hotel is great and it is a great stay for those near the bund. Transportation is near also and we have a family mart near the hotel a short walk from it.

The breakfast buffet should be better and the meal quality and varieties was just average. Their customer service and cleaness was great though.

Booked 3 rooms 5 nights for a business trip. Rooms are super small and smelly. Washroom was not clean and dirt everywhere. Won’t stay next time.

Generally the hotel is good. Its clean and has reasonably large rooms. Unfortunately the Showers in the rooms are not good (over a bath) and water sprays and flows out onto the floor, flooding the bathroom.

Subway entrance is under the property. Easy access to/from anywhere. Awesome staff. Nice room with complete amenities. Will come back again!

Disappointing

The Dorsett is our regular hotel when we stay in Shanghai. Usually it's great, but this time it was very disappointing (covid I guess). I booked a loft suite since they had a reasonable deal on offer. The room was meant to include breakfast, free mini bar and a deep-soaking bathtub. The breakfast was poor (I don't blame them for this as it was obvious the hotel was practically empty). However, there was no deep-soaking bathtub - there wasn't even a bath. The room was filthy and the carpets would benefit from a steam clean. In these times, I would have thought cleanliness would have been the top priority. The mini bar was also non-existent, let alone free. In fact, we left a day early...

It’s accessible to the metro subway station, and the line where the station at is considered as the main line of Shanghai where the main attraction at, hence save the line transfer time and cost. It is also near to the neighbourhood super mart and the largest park, if you enjoy park. the location is good. The hotel’s amenities and facilities are equal to none as there’s no bars or night restaurants where u can hang out and there’s no room service.

The regular rooms are really underwhelming. If you stay here make sure to stay in the loft suite.

We stayed here 3d2n. Hotel is just a stone throw away if you exit from Century Park exit 4. Century Park is just opposite the hotel and a 24hrs convenient store as well as bakery shop beside the hotel. Highly recommended hotel to stay in shanghai. I will stay in Dorsett Shanghai hotel should I visit shanghai next time. 👍

Hotel is conveniently located. Subway station is right at doorsteps. You can enter via the hotel lobby. Many restaurants and eateries within 10mins walking. Shanghai New International Expo is within 15 mins walk or 2 subway stations. Room allocated is pretty small. Not possible to fully open my check-in luggage for packing/unpacking.

Close to New Shanghai Exhition area. Family mart beside hotel, not much else.
