Kick off your day sweating

No air conditioning in the common areas outside the room, so by the time you get to the elevator you are already sweating, not the best start to the day.

The hotel rooms were great but I wonder why do we still have to pay for the parking for rm11 per day!! It’s a bit too much for me.

Great location. Its 5 min to Bukit Bintang. So during the weekend, we are not stuck in the jam going to Bukit Bintang. All is great except leakage at Toilet and sink that cause the bathroom to smell

The 30m² room was extremely spacious n the sofa was definitely a plus. Best part of this hotel is the provision of free-flow filtered water in the bathroom which not only cuts down use of plastic bottles, but allows guests to have an unlimited supply of drinking water round the clock. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay even though it was the just the basic deluxe room.

Exeeding Expectations

Exeeded my expectation. Thought it will be a mediocre hotel, which I dont mind since Im just travelling alone for a short trip. However, was amazed by the service standards, receptionist was polite and friendly, housekeeping staffs were mindful and approachable. I am also very pleased with their go green movement. I received a 10rm voucher to use at their vending machine for opting out of housekeeping for a day. No plastic bottles as I can just refill my own bottle using their filtered tap. Definitely worth the price and so convenient to walk to pavilion and shops around.

First time at this hotel & loving it. Given the 4 stars rating because I had requested for wake up call follow up call 45mins later due to super important meeting that I need to attend; the hotel didn’t wake me up. Anyway, everything else is value for value. The service is great, very convenient location, rooms is spacious. You can’t go wrong with this hotel.

great location. but be prepared for traffic jam as hotel is located at a place where always traffic jam. hotel have limited amenities.

Pro: A very good location close to a lot shopping areas. Cons: Breakfast has a lot of variety but it is almost the same dishes during our 4 nights of staying. it is very disappointing that they did not provide tea bags (I’m not a coffee lover) and when I checked with the staff, they mentioned that the tea bags is exempted and have to pay if need. A bit surprised as they used canned fruits to serve in the fruits area although they do have cut watermelons. Fruit selection is limited. Toilet is clean but has small flies

The room was great, large at a great price, with a nice view. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is perfectly located, right behind Pavilion, so there are a lot of dining and shopping activities at a short walking distance.

We had a grat stay. Really convenient location Family room was just the right size amd clean. Pool was great to have. Only down side was the room service. We planned to eat at the bar but it was not manned. We tried the cafe but we coildnt get a snack. Room service was thwrefoew our only option. We jad to wait 55 miniyes and it was cold and just not great. Otherwise a great stay. We woild consider one of their other hotels.

The rooms need renovation. The room floor carpet has stains and smelly. I stayed in 10th floor.

KL is Too hot in July- food delivery was great

It was too hot to go outside much. The transit was too far away and we got lost. Grab food delivery saved us. Hotel was drab, sink did not drain very fast. Pool was nice but small. Bathroom by pool was musty.

It was an excellent location,breakfast is awesome and staff are very friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and family ❤️. The only thing missing is hand and face towels, instead tissues was provided not the same to wipe your face with tissue. I think the hotel is going Green too much

Not enough parking for hotel guest

The front desk service is not good and of low quality. Room is okay. Cleaning service is great.

Dorsett is not a new hotel but the clean

The hotel is very old. The moment we entered the room, it smells musty. Also, the cleanliness is bad. We found some pee stains from the previous guest under the toilet seats and it was not cleaned off. The only good thing about the hotel was the location cause it’s a walkable distance from the malls.

Thou is a non smoking room, you still can smell some residue of smoke smell

As mentioned by others, parking is a challenge and very limited. Other than that, a decent stay at an affordable price.

Very dated accommodation at the residences. It’s basic and not really 4 star but still clean. Good location though. Breakfast wasn’t all that good. I would suggest buying breakfast as there are many options within the vicinity.

Good service in all areas of the organisation. Quality breakfast options with attentive service, reception staff were helpful and friendly. Overall a very pleasant hotel experience.

The room was nice and personal was courteous. No room service and towel change in four days. Efficient transportation to the airport. The restaurant closes at 6:30 pm!

Booked few months inadvance for connecting but turn-out to be separated from each other Different floor for only 3 rooms booking. Dissapointed.

Next to main areas

We had a decent sized twin room enough to sprawl 2 suitcases of luggage across. Bathroom was clean (no bathtub as we had a basic room), reasonable amount of toiletries were provided. Housekeeping were excellent and super friendly, room was spotless when we returned. Area is super convenient, walkable distance to Pavillion and a couple of cheap local eats. Main road hotel is located on is quite busy, hard to catch a taxi/Grab in peak hour, so allow extra time when travelling. Overall loved our stay :) not our first visit and not our last either (Dorsett Residence next door is also lovely and suited for families with kitchen/dining/lounge room).

Toilets were not clean, service was mid, however location is impeccable.

Great Stay at Dorset KL Hotel

Friendly staff with excellent service. Breakfast was fantastic with wide varieties of food. Admire the staff endlessly trying to clear the tables as it was a peak Christmas 2023 holiday period. Conveniently located.

Breakfast was served with cold food and dry. Chef Azmi is very rude.

Location is unbeatable. Great restaurants and bars in Malls behind the Dorsett and of course all sorts of shopping. I visit KL for food so I don’t really shop. Service was great and easy access to hotel restaurant for breakfast next door. Apartment had all the amenities and they even gave a great welcome food basket. Kitchen well equipped but we didn’t cook although we could have. The in unit washing machine/dryer was an absolute life saver. The infinity pool was also great. Would definitely stay again!!

Good location, behind the newest malls in Bukit Bintang. Just about 5-7 minutes walk, and its a quiet area behind the malls. Near the bukit bintang lrt around 7 minutes too.

Facilities are standard for a hotel of its class. Shower water pressure could be stronger The best: Front Desk service I left my car unlocked and the battery went flat the next day. It was a Saturday evening then. They helped me find a jump start service. The worst: Parking. If you're driving a bigger car, I highly recommend valet parking or parking at the private lot *beside* the property (it’s Rm12/entry, hotel car park is RM10/entry). The building is old and the car park ramps are too narrow. Luckily I managed to get away unscathed with an S Class but at the worst turning point my car was about 1cm from the wall/ledge on both sides. Many other cars I saw had their left door scuffed and dented including a Porsche Macan and a Mazda CX5. You’ll need to really take your time. TLDR; good hotel with great service. Don’t park in the basement car park if you drive a bigger car

Generally a good stay. The decor of the rooms seems abit dated. Gym facilities are abit dirty, which was a turn off. Other than that, it’s okay overall.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Form front desk, to each morning at breakfast, concierge and the lounge bar staff. A very enjoyable stay, we will stay here again.

The room was really run down and old with dim lightings. The toiletries like toilet paper and towels were not sufficent. The receptionist was just chatting with colleagues instead of properly serving me when i was checking in. The whole hotel is also very old and dated. Only good staff are the bellboys manning the main entrances as they are always polite and welcoming.

Close to Pavilion. Able to use the Ritz to walk through easily in air conditioning comfort.

For a 4 star property, we felt is was only very average. The staff were all very business like excepr Joanna the restaurant manager. She was lovely and full of life. The food is the restaurant was not good quality and was very cold. All hot dishes were in warmers that did not heat the food at all. No variation of food in the morning. Room was large but extremely dated. Old carpets and drapes. House keeping did a great job and the room was cleaned daily to a good standard. Good location but would not choose to stay again. Other better hotels in the area

Except for the obvious signs of wear/damage to the decor of the hotel room, and the gym room which needs a bit of updating and some disinfectant spray for wiping down equipment, the hotel was perfect. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the buffet breakfast was great, and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of a number of attractions and activities.

Spacious and comfortable room, with everything provided that you need - the only thing missing was a shoehorn. Not much storage space, though. The staff are very courteous and the lifts are fast. One thing the hotel could consider in future is providing staff assistance (or something else) to help the guests cross the busy road outside, as there is no pedestrian crossing nearby.

We stayed in the Residence apartments and it was a spacious, well equipped apartment. It was great to have a washer/dryer. We didn’t know there was a pool on top of our building, so that would have been nice information to be told by reception on check in. We saw it from top of Petronas Towers. There were no towels provided, so perhaps guests in the Residence building could be provided with extra Towels in the room. On checkout we were charged a Malaysian tourist tax which we were unaware of. It wasn’t expensive but we were unaware. Handy location to shopping

The hotel is in a great location but feels dated. The main issue was the loud air conditioning in each room, and the gym needed to be updated or closed. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

I requested for a family room of 3 single beds but hotel record showed 1 king bed 1 single bed. Does it mean that Expedia and hotel bookings do not link? We had 3 pax in the room but we were only given 2 bath towels on the 2nd day. Hand and face towels were also not given and only upon we called the housekeeping, then they came. The 3rd bath towel that came was also fraying at the sides of the towel. There were no sockets at the bedside to charge our phones too. Some parts of the room were also dusty and obviously not cleaned properly after the previous guests checked out. The only consolation to this stay was the location of the hotel. But we will not stay at this hotel again. There are other better hotels in the same vicinity area.

Booked Dorsett Residence for Two Bedroom Premier Queen + Twin. The unit smells like someone buried a dead body. Maintenance was sent to verify and he agreed the unit is not fit for living soul. Apparently the drain pipes get clogged continuously and this is not the first time or first unit they have such problem. On top of that, the floor is dusty as well as traces of hairs were found on dining chairs, sofas, bathtubs as well as pillows. Hotel has no choice but to switch us to Dorsett Hotel with two rooms. The rooms are so dated, air conditioning not functioning properly room reek of faint tobacco smell despite it is a non smoking room. Strongly advise any travelers to reconsider other hotels and avoid Dorsett Kuala Lumpur at all cost. If you must stay at a Dorsett property, consider their Sri Hartamas one.

The fact that I cannot get a bucket of ice after 9.30pm. And the fridge is also not able to make ice cubes.

Easy access to shopping centres very centralized location

the road leading to Pavilion needs lots of improvement .footpath is full with illegally parked motorbikes.the drains are smelly.The city council needs to do more work to improve the city image in cleanlyness n traffic control.footpaths not even

I am happy with everything except the shower water. The shower was not hot enough. I took a shower at 7 am. Turned on the shower and the water was still lukewarm.

Smoking smell on my floor through out the day. Either no action was taken or the staffs are unable to smell it.

Room was smelling funky (bau hapak) Chose Dorsett KL but was given Dorsett Residences… disappointed! No Parking on site & had to pay RM20/ day.

Housekeeping for room especially toilet is average. They did not replace new used cups , toilet not clean , bath towels have ugly smell plus did not replace foot towel.

Walkable to the big malls and easy to get around from the hotel. We wish to compliment Aisyah from the front desk for her politeness and professional service upon check-in. Bedsheet was not clean and had a bad smell from the pillows and blanket and we couldnt sleep well because we were feeling quite disgusted and we called up housekeeping the same night to change the pillowcase ourselves and the next morning requested them to change everything! Lights were flickering and the table lampshade fell off when we adjusted the table to eat. The toilet had hair sticking at the soap bottle and the bidet spray had pubic hair around it. Extremely disappointed.

Consider quite a good location, 10 mins walk to Pavilion.

Location is good. However I realise that the carpet at the 20th level of the lobby area was not vacuum throughout our 3 nights stay. White spots can be seen all over the carpets. Overall the hotel is still a nice place to stay in which is walking distance to many shopping area.

The price was affordable, walking distance to Lot 10 mall and Sunwang mall. There is good seafront restaurant that can recommend. 1) overseas Restaurant (Cheap and nice seafood) 2) One Seafood Restaurant ( Expensive but high quality food) - Fine Diner.
