You'll never confuse the Dorint for a luxury hotel, but it does provide exactly what's needed for a business trip. Clean, good breakfast, good bar/restaurant, convenient location, great price. But unless you like a combo body/hair wash, bring your own toiletries.

A nice location if Frankfurt is not your main traget. A good view in the top floors. Friendly staff. The room we got was not very clean. We saw some dust when we moved blankets and pillows to sleep. The major disappointment was the breakfast. The meat part was not fresh and stinky. Some fruit was rotten. It was very surprising to see these for a 4.5 starts hotel.

Dorint Hotel

Hotel was fine-clean and comfortable. The only negative I noticed is that the hallway had a weak smell of cigarettes. Other than that, the room, personnell, and service were great.

FANTASTIC BREAKFAST

Our room was exactly as shown in the photo. Just the perfect size for us. We had a view of the agricultural fields, which we liked. We went walking outside between them on the walkway. Nice! The hotel was close to Bad Soden, which we visited, and also just a short taxi ride away to Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt. Great shopping and breakfast nearby at the Main Taunus Zentrum.

So i had booked 1 room for 9 nights and then another room for someone else for 4 nights. both booked via the gold member program, when I got there the hotel didn"t know that it was vip/gold sort it out the next day. Received a room on the 3rd floor next to the elevator, wich was very noisyin the evening especially. The view was on the roof of the restaurant with air ducts, the other room also on the 3rd floor a little bit bigger (for1 person) but noisy from the highway, my discovery was that the windows don't insulate sufficient, noise or heat. Another problem is that the bed sheet wasn't changed in 9 days, towels were changed daily, also the cleaning in the room was not great. my bag was full with dust after 9 days. Dear Dorint if I will choose to stay with you for the 3rd time I will ask for 3 different room key cards and choose the one that I like.

shame

wehter was ainy but we are all day at Messe. In 7 days in 7 days the sheet never changed, I did not receive gel or shampoo,it was not made with the vacuum cleaner. We have 2 room booked, in both was same problem. Surprise, in one room, in last day, in in the clean bath towel, it was actually a human hairpin, I don't know where. I demanded all this but I only got a few apologies from the tip of lips. Shame for 4 stars plus.See photo with hair.

The property is isolate .I don't recommended to no one , the property is far from Frankfurt city and the only way to access to the city is taxi and the taxi cost 40euros and sometimes more , one way only , so round trip everyday is around 80 euros , no buss or train there , has not view , on the night if you walk from the mall which its like 10 minutes away is so dark the I can't find the way to go back to the hotel , the hotel menu is the same everyday , and many guests they walk to the mall to get food , be honest I thought the hotel was in frankfurt ,I paid probable more money to the taxi driver than the cost for stay at the hotel

Great again and again

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times during the past six years, and have been completely satisfied every single time. The hotel is located next to one of Frankfurt’s major shopping centres, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet is the best I have seen anywhere in the world. A very complete and reliable setup.

This hotel has a very warm and pleasant atmosphere. Hotel staff was really quite professional. Highly recommend place.

The biggest issue with this hotel is that it is not really close to anything so you do need a car or rely on taxi's to go anywhere!

This is a fairly typical Business Hotel, I wouldn't suggest it as a family holiday venue. Its too far out of Frankfurt if your are on a pleasure trip, but does have good road connections if you need to get into the centre for meetings etc - about 30 to 40 minutes depending on time.

3 star hotel for 5 star price

It was ok but this is at best a three star hotel with five star prices. You can do better especially since it's not close to anything including the airport which is a 40 euro cab ride away. Not the cleanest. Restaurant selection was severely limited and extremely expensive (21 euro for a burger).

Great hotel exactly where I needed! Wish breakfast price was more reasonable but found a nice cafe a few km away since worked out.

Overnight stay only if English.

A nice hotel for an Overnight Stay. Would of considered longer if there was any English TV Channels or the ability to switch the language through settings. Also if you like continental breakfast instead of Hot Breakfast perfect as Hot food was Cold. The Bar was outstanding with excellent English speaking staff. Never had time to visit the Spa so cannot comment. A couple of Tweaks required and would definatley recommend to friends and family.

The hotel is 15 minutes away from the Airport and minutes away from a shopping mall. It included free WiFi.

This Hotel is showing it's age!

Needed a Hotel close to Frankfurt Airport. Check-In was a disaster. Reception was not helpful nor informative. Matter of fact they where totally not interested in our stay. We escaped the place in a hurry and found a great 'Gasthaus' for dinner in the near small town of Sulzbach. The food was traditional and delicious. Can't say anything positive about the place. Room was average, the buffet breakfast was the highlight if I look for something nice to sat about this Dorint establishment. It's location to the airport and the nearby Shopping Centre are good. Will never stay there again.

Room was too hot despite the weather being cool outside. I asked them to do something and their maintenance person just left the window wide open (not very helpful), and that still didn't make much difference. The staff at the reception were not at all sympathetic. A very uncomfortable stay unfortunately.

The purchased breakfast was excellent! So much variety and good preparation and presentation.

Nice hotel, but..

A great hotel, let down by a few staff. I felt an "anti english" attitude from a couple of staff. Most were great, but a few made me feel uncomfortable. Nice clean room, great food. Good facilities. I would reccomend this hotel, but not if your english.

The hotel was not close to anything, even the airport, yet there was no shuttle so you had to rent a car or take a taxi. Parking was €15 a day, which is a little steep considering the parking lot is on the property. The restaurant and bar were very expensive. (€25) for a burger and fries. The room was clean, but the air barely worked and you couldn’t open the windows. Note: I stayed In several other hotels on my trip that didn’t have AC at all, but The temperature was comfortable because I could open the windows.

We arrived on Saturday evening to find that the restraint was closed at weekends and had to have 'fast food' in bar area, which on Saturday and Sunday evening was particularly crowded and noisy due to conference delegates drinking in the bar. Bed in room very low to floor, which we would have accommodated if it was not for the 2 small, single duvets on a large bed making this the most uncomfortable sleep for both my wife and I. I do not think that guests at the hotel for 4 nights should be subjected to car parking fees.

Great business hotel in the area

The Dorint is an excellent business hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Customer service, on the other hand, will vary widely. Some employees were very willing to help out with directions and providing additional information, while others were very defensive and dismissive. All in all, it is a very good hotel, just be aware that you will not get consistent "friendliness" to your stay when interacting with staff.

Reasonable place but too far from everything.

I had a pleasant stay here during the Frankfurt Book Fair. The hotel is fine. The make a good goulash in the restaurant bar. However, it's far to far from anything useful. They offer a ride to the book fair but only one way - you would have to return by taxi and that's an expensive ride. Expensive to the airport too - 40+ Euros. I'd say if you can find somewhere close to the action do so - you might have to pay a bit more but you will save on Taxi fees.

Pleasant over nite stay

We arrived rather late, due to flight delays & our room was held without an issue. Signing in was a breeze & the staff at reception couldn't have been more pleasant & accommodating. Our swipe cards didn't work not once but twice, then when we finally gained access to the room, housekeeping had obviously overlooked cleaning the room! Both beds unmade, beer bottles around the room & there was a huge stench of cigarettes!! (Non smoking room) The staff at reception where extremely apologetic, assigned us another room (without further incident) & gave us a voucher for two drinks in the restaurant/bar. We had wine (more than what was comped) & ate a late snack of chicken wings. Very good. The room was comfortable & we slept well. The included breakfast in the morning was absolutely outstanding! In spite of the rocky start we were very pleased & would definitely stay in this establishment again if the need arose!

Near airport hotel

Good location not far from airport, quick check in, nice updated rooms, Gated parking, Near highway so some traffic noise could be heard. There is a bar and restaurant but did not try. My stay for one night just to connect with flight.

Relaxing hotel just outside Frankfurt

This is a good hotel that is a little bit remote. Right next to farmers fields on one side, which allowed for enjoyable evening walks and then a fantastic shopping mall on the other side. It is about 25 minutes from downtown Frankfurt. It was quiet and had beautiful views of the hills. Also, the breakfast was very nice!

Nice hotel close to city

Hotel is very close to the airport and easily accessible. It's also very close to the Main Taunus Zentrum. The hotel was clean and staff was knowledgeable and courteous. My room was clean, comfortable, and had some amenities (hair dryer). The shower is very high and I found it difficult to climb in and out. My son, who is ten, had similar issues. The hotel's breakfast is delicious and we recommend it!

Dorint Main Taunus, Germany

The Dorint Main Taunus is a super hotel. We did not have a car and appreciated having a close bus line and a few blocks more a train. Service was great and a friendly staff. The restaurant was good too.

Convenient location

Chose this hotel because it was near the area I needed to visit. The hotel was modern and very clean. We did not hang out much at the hotl, but when we dealt with the staff they were friendly. The lights in the room did not work at first and I had to go to the desk to find out there was a slot for the key to operate the lights. That was annoying. The only real negative is paying 10 Euros per day to park. They had a big lot and there was no need for that.

Returned feeling broke, unhappy and exhausted

We have returned very disappointed with our hotel, and this has actually tainted our trip in some ways. Staff; On reception it felt like you were inconveniencing them by speaking with them. It was as if you were interrupting their busy day when asking a question.. and it was always a long wait when phoning from our room. Check in took ages! The lady manning the breakfast tried to charge for both of us when only one of us actually had food - trying to charge 46 euros for an orange juice for one and a small plate of cooked food and a coffee for the other. We had a meal for two with drinks for less in the city. The room; Clean, in fact even cleaned when we left the do not disturb sign up and they kicked our remote under the middle of the bed and took our second room key off us. View non existent from the windows. Facilities; Guest WiFi was down after the first night for the rest of the trip. TV showed a 1994-2000 operating system boot error also after first night for the rest of the trip. Breakfast is awful. Charred 'bacon', no fried egg as it was unstaffed, really small choice of food. And also an outrageous price considering how poor quality it was. Location; 38 euros in a taxi from the airport. 34 euros in a taxi into town. You can get a 9 euro taxi and 4.80 euro train instead but the station is dead so you will have to get a taxi back. Spent over 300 euros on taxis in 3 days.. Warning: All the taxi drivers drive over 100mph, buckle up!

Not really like but ok for 1 night stopover

Didn't realize that faraway from Frankfurt city central. Acceptable for 1 night stopover. Will not stay again if I have to stay longer or for holiday.

Decent hotel in a convenient location

Stayed there twice now. The quality is good for the price and the location is very good, close to Frankfurt and the surrounding cities of the Taunus. Rooms can be noisy since you can hear a lot from the rooms next door and above, keep that in mind if youre a light sleeper. Staff range from average to fantastic. Especially Ms. Gonzales (sorry if spelt wrong) was ver friendly and helpful!

Overpriced for outdated hotel

We booked hotel for last night stay in Europe because it was a short drive to airport. It was the most expensive room of our trip and it was definitely not worth it. The overall look of hotel was dated. The carpet in the hallway had patch spots and stains all over it. The room was clean and relatively comfortable. The wifi was terrible. We had to pay 10€ to park! Why? I have no idea, this hotel is surrounded by farm land, had a large parking area and can not see why they would need to charge you. save your money and go elsewhere.

Just what we needed

We had an early flight out of Frankfurt and needed a place to repack our bags and sleep for a few hours. The Dorint hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet, and inexpensive. It's nice when you walk in and everything just works/is fine. It's in an isolated place and not sure it would make sense to stay here for a longer time but for our purposes it was perfect.

Good value for price

We stayed at the Dorint for 9 days . The Hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable and quiet .Windows open to let in fresh air . The fridge had a complimentary bottle of water. The Personell is very friendly We would stay at this Hotel again .

Good Business Hotel

If you like a good steak, visit The Lodge Restaurant, close to the hotel next to the Opel Zoo. The best steak you have ever had and if you are really, really hungry go for the 1400grm T-Bone!!

Ideal business hotel, located about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. I can highly recommend the restaurant / bar, the food was exceptional and exceeds what a typical business hotel of this star rating would usually provide.

Good hotel in a good location

Knew about the hotel from when I lived in the area many years ago, decided to stay there on our trip to Germany. Hotel was very good overall, but as others have pointed out it could do with some renovations. The staff are nice, rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a good, central location. Would definitely stay there again, breakfast is way too expensive though.

Modern Hotel

This hotel was great. This is my second attempt at writing a review because the first was disavowed after I mentioned coming across two pubic hairs on the bathroom floor! Hairs aside however, my partner and I enjoyed staying here, the food was fantastic as was the service and variety of drinks available.

Great hotel with awful service for dinner

The hotel rooms are perfect but do not eat at the restaurant for dinner. It was fairly busy and the waitstaff/kitchen is absolutely overwhelmed if there is a bigger group.

Staff and breakfast good but could do with a refur

Overall hotel was located well for me as close to my offices however it is not within wlaking distance of other locations. The hotel could do with a re-furbishment as looking tired and dated now. The hotel was busy and caters for corporate events - so there is an atmosphere.Service was good and staff are helpful. Breakfast buffet offers a lot of options and variety.

Freezing cold room... Heating is terrible

Asked to raise the temperature and they provided a small heater which was quite useless.

I have stay in over 50 hotel globally, but room amenities in this hotel is not enough. Other hotel room rate can cover breakfast but this hotel have higher room rate without including breakfast. I arrived hotel at 9:00am as I have early flight arrival at 6:00am in Frankfurt. Hotel receptionist need me to rest in the lobby but I was totally exhausted for more 15 hours flight hours and I indeed need to take a hot bath and go to sleep. But she need me to pay 50 Euro to check in early at 9:00am, I am sure that guest room should have room available. She allowed me to check in at 11:00am, but what is the different for a oversea customer to check in 2 hours early without affect the operation and room availiablity. I have been working in hotel business for over 20 years, to satisfy customer need is our basic mission. Hotel industry staf should try their best to make custome more comfortable and impressed especially coming from other countries. If not, how can hotel have repeated guest or tourist to travel this cities again. The above experience is just my persoal opinion in order to improve current hospitality attiude. Regards, Derek

We stayed 1 night at this hotel. The room was relatively clean except for a large stain on the curtains. The room shows signs of wear. There was a partially used bottle of lotion left in the bathroom. I am also not a fan of the large container of multiuse shower gel affixed to the bathroom wall which seems unsanitary to me. I feel attention to detail was lacking. Also, breakfast was expensive @ 22 euros.

No safety chain on door, so staf enter. Door did not close properly, reported to receiption but not fixed. No shampoo or conditioner etc in bathroom. Clean but basic. Doors locked until 8 am so unable to acces car park near car. No notice stating that doors will not open before 8 am. Just irritating. Ok if you like walking up and down,

I stayed in this hotel before. This time we had to get to a funeral in nearby Bad Soden where hotels are notoriously overbooked. The Dorint Hotel always seems to have free capacity and is easily accessible over the motorway from Frankfurt Airport and has ample parking facilities. It is a straight forward business hotel with all the conveniences for the business traveller. We arrived at 20:30 for our first night and had a bite to eat at the restaurant bar at 21:00. The service was prompt and the food was very good. Next day after the funeral we went back to the hotel and had dinner there and had the best tasting filet steak in years in front of a roaring fire. We decided to have breakfast in the restaurant, which has an anti-room with 20m of breakfast buffet, with in-built equipment for hot and cold breakfasts. I chose a full English breakfast whilst my wife went for the healthy muesli and fruit selection. In conclusion, the hotel offered everything we would have wanted for on this trip and this at a competitive price.

Hotel was conveniently located off the A-66, very easy to get to and plenty of parking (was an additional cost, but worth it). Arrived at night, but there were signs pointing the way so no problem locating. Was simply a stopover before an early AM flight, so was perfectly located.

Great Hotel, Centrally Located

Hotel was clean, modern, comfortable, and located just a short walk from a large shopping mall. Staff were very friendly and helpful--they let us check-in long before the appointed check-in time. I'd definitely stay here again on future visits to Germany.

Customer visit

The Dorint has been updated recently, and is a really good place to stay for local business in the Sulzbach area. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food and atmosphere is always good and vibrant.

Professional service, modern, clean decor

conveniently located on the A66, within a 15 min drive of Frankfurt airport, this is a very clean, modern, efficient hotel. The decor is fresh, and bright. Service is prompt. Bed is quite firm, as is the norm for Europe. There is a huge modern mall within a 5 minute walk, with many nice, quick eateries, however not much else within walking distance. The room is quiet, and bright. For the price, we were exceptionally pleased. There is a lovely outdoor bar area, with cool and lovely wicker furniture.

I'm not sure they like customers!

When I arrived late at night the 'non-smoking' room that I had been given stunk of smoke. I asked if I could be moved and was given another much smaller room, which was quite noisy. None of the staff offered to help move my luggage or offered any compensation for the inconvenience. The poor customer service was shown again in the bar the next evening with a grumpy barman who seemed annoyed with me when he brought me the wrong order. The shower in my room was completely useless- just a dribble and the bed uncomfortable. I wouldn't really recommend this hotel to other people, apart from the location, because it seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff to have customers and I wouldn't want to put them out!

Dorint Am Main Taunus Zentrum, near Frankfurt

I made the reservation with Dorint because they said there was an airport shuttle. I found out before I left on my trip that there was not a shuttle and that I would have to get a taxi. I tried to canel the reservation but Dorint would not refund my money (Hotels.com did send me a voucher, which I am very appreciateive of). The cost of round trip taxi service was more than $150. I could have stayed at one of the other hotels right by the Frankfurt airport for less money. Great supper. Great service. Fine hotel but the cost of the hotel plus transportation is absolutely not worth it.
