Great location but cleanliness needs improvement.

Fantastic location right by the Gate of Dawn in the old town made this a perfect location for me explore the city. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed was ok for comfort but under the bed sheets I found old hairs which brings the grade down. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic.

Great location right by the old city gate, but the hotel was hard to find when I arrived. Room was rather small with two tiny beds and two small separate shower and toilet rooms on the opposite sides of the room, which was very inconvenient. Electric Tea cattle in the room was a plus. Breakfast buffet was average. Receptionist was very helpful with finding a good place to eat near by.

Very convenient

You cannot get any closer to the old town. The check in and support from the front desk were excellent. Breakfast was good. Personally, I lovedbeing able to hear the noon bells from my room. I was on the top floor, so in the night I did hear the snow slide off the room a couple of times, something I found amusing and the hotel had no contol over-just something to consider as to what floor you ask to be on in the winter.

The location was perfect, right in Old Town, and close to the central station as well. Very cute rooms and comfy bed. Nice shower/bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly!

The ladies at front desk were really sweet and helpful. The only complaint is that I had to keep windows open because it was really warm in the room. Definitely a classy historical building. Bravo to the staff!

A very nice place

It was a lovely experience to stay in 16th century monastery. Room was quiet, clean, bed was comfortable, there was a kettle and teas and coffee. Breakfast had a lot of choices, i enjoyed my stay, thank you.

The nature of the old building makes it noisy and echoes. If people are walking or talking in corridors or stairwells they can clearly be heard in bedrooms.

Fantastic location in the old town of Vilnius

The hotel is perfectly situated in the old town and only a 2 minute walk when you get off the bus from the airport. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is exceptionally quiet and kept very clean. The setting is also very beautiful. The twin room I stayed in was a reasonable size. It was also nice to have the shower in a separate room to the toilet. The bed was a very narrow single bed, which was fine for me, a 5'4" female, however it may be on the small side for others. The price was also fantastic for such a great location. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Vilnius.

Nice spot in the heart of the city

Authentic Vilnius experience. Not art deco or fancy but quiet and cute place. Central location makes it perfect for walking to places of interest. Room is simple and rather small but we knew what we were booking. Btw we had dinner at Bazilijonai restaurant nearby and enjoyed it very much. So I recommend it and would stay again.

A lovely stay at a living museum

The Domus Maria is ideally located, in the Old Village area and within short walking distance to several cafes, restaurants & beautiful grand buildings. The staff was exceedingly friendly, courteous and accommodating. The hotel is a former monastery so its architecture makes it a very special place to stay with its long wide hallways & its arched ceilings; it gives the feeling like you are staying in a living historical museum :-)

I love staying at unique historic properties, & this one certainly meets the goal. It's a renovated 15th century Carmelite monastery, with the former monastic cells having been converted into rooms decorated in minimalist style to retain a relatively austere feel, but with everything you could possibly need, & nothing you don't. (Although, I could've done without a TV, & a mini-fridge would've been nice.) The original 4-story ( basement) building layout that surrounds a large inner courtyard was preserved, providing a sense of solitude & causing one to imagine what it might have felt like in the past. Ask to see the Grand Hall/Lectorium on the 2nd floor, with its breathtaking ceiling covered in 17th century religious frescoes. Located just inside Old Town's Gate of Dawn, it's a convenient one-minute walk to the main street lined with beautiful churches, imposing towers, & lofty archways, as well as numerous enticing restaurants.

The bathroom needs renew.

Housekeeping only concentrated on the bathroom and we would have liked to have while room looked at. More variety of foods at breakfast, eg no toast. On the whole it was fine. Staff were very helpful.

This hotel is conveniently located in Old Town, next to St. Teresa Church and Gate of Dawn. On-site breakfast is not fancy but adequate. Staff members were friendly and kindly packed breakfast for us since we had early flight. The Etno Dvaris restaurant next to the hotel is a must try. We had a heat wave during our stay, and we were surprised to find out that the heaters in the bathrooms were on all the time and can't be turned off across the entire city. There was no AC in the room and wish we had at least a fan to cool the room off.

Great location in Old Town. Right by the Gate and the church at the south end of town. Very walkable to the bars and restaurants. Hotel was decent enough. Price was good for what you get. Breakfast was average. It was fine for 3 days.

Great location. Small, but cosy and clean room. The only complain for me was the noise. It is an old building, so the hallways are very echo'y and you can hear every step and every word of every guest coming back later than your bed time or leaving earlier than you (would like to) wake up.

The location is the best, the staff is amazing. The building itself is unique. The bed and the pillows are very average. There is no A/C. A good stay, but not for the hot seasons.

No air conditioning—opening the window cooled the room sufficiently for May, but it might be too hot in the summer. Walkable, but used a Bolt ride share for the longer distances (order on the app and pay cash).

Tolle Lage mitten in der Altstadt, fußläufig vom Bahnhof in Vilnius zu erreichen und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten praktisch vor der Tür. Details der alten Klosterausstattung wurden liebevoll in die Flure aufgenommen, das Frühstück nimmt man sehr gemütlich im alten Refektorium ein. Die Zimmerausstattung iat einfach, aber passend für Ambiente und Preisklasse des Hauses. Die Mitarbeitenden an der Rezeption und beim Frühstück waren ausnahmslos sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für uns die perfekte Unterkunft in Vilnius.

Lovely and affordable hotel

Very clean, affordable, and comfortable hotel! Loved the location. It was very close to the Old Town.

The staff are nice. no fridge, no in-room safe, no a/c and no fan which means restless nights because it's too warm even with the window open. Besides the church bells kicking off at 7am, it is quiet, which is fine as it's a lovely city to start an early day walk.

Domus Maria is not a generic hotel but has lots of charm and lovely views over Vilnius. Rooms are comfortable and staff is friendly and helpful.

Great location at the top of old town and very close to the train and bus station (but far enough and separated by the old town walls so as not to be bothered by noise or traffic. Exceptionally quiet, simple and clean with very helpful and friendly staff.

A Former Monastery

It was very clean and the air conditioner worked very well. A nice location at the "top" of old Vilnius, very walkable to anywhere in Vilnius we wanted to go. Parking was only €12 per day. There was not a single ice machine in the hotel. The rooms were almost austere, but the building was previously a monastery.

Excellent property. The only hotel we choose to stay every time we visit. Close proximity to main sightseeing and restaurants.

This place is a bit spartan as befitting its history, but spotless and comfortable. The location couldn't be better, right inside the old town but a singly short bus ride from the airport. The breakfast was good and served in an atmospheric hall, and the desk staff were unfailingly congenial and helpful. I'd happily stay again!

The place was great. It was cozy and comfortable. When I came, I dealt with two different women behind the counter. Both were friendly and helpful. The area is great. Plenty of restaurants and things to do. I would stay here again.

This place is a Vilnius treasure!

My wife, 16-year-old daughter, and I stayed here for three nights. Our room was clean and spacious; it was divided into two bedrooms, which my daughter appreciated. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was quiet (apart from some church bells in the morning, which can't be helped) and located in a nice area on the edge of the old town. The nearby Halle Market (about a 4-minute walk) is a great place to pick up some fruit and halvah, and it has a good bagel place. We had a wonderful stay at Domus Maria.

The location is fantastic, really close to the sights and also lots of bars and restaurants. The staff were fantastic especially a blond lady that was in reception on my arrival, she was very friendly and helpful. The hotel apparently used to be a monastery and has been renovated to a high standard managing to blend tradition and modernity. I recommend this hotel and Vilnius and would stay here again. Love the place.

The hotel is an amazing place in the center of Vilnius. It is close to many dining options, all sights, and even the train station. The staff is helpful and friendly. The only disadvantage is the breakfast. There are a few options, but rather low quality (warm sausages and beans are nice, but that the eggs and bacon are cold is not nice - sometimes, some options were from the previous days). The worst is that there is a sign that hot drinks (like coffee and tea) are not included in the breakfast, one would have to pay 2 EUR per drink. Strange that a standard breakfast would not include a drink. My suggestion to the hotel: remove the sign (I observed that almost no-one pays); fry the bacon longer and keep it warm; and allow guests to boil eggs and toast bread, so that they can decide how done it should be.

Very conveniently located. The actual property is in a lovely courtyard setting and I believe at one time was a convent or seminary - it is actually almost ‘serene’. Staff were very friendly. One bonus - first time in two weeks/four countries that I actually had a bathtub to soak my sore feet in. Highly recommend
