Our favorite place in Athens

This was our second time staying here. The service was excellent across the board. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are clean and the location is excellent. Their breakfast buffet is also pretty good, but could benefit from additional hot meat items not made from beef or pork.

The location was wonderful -- just south of the Acropolis and minutes from the Acropolis Museum. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and courteous. Special mention goes to the bellman Michael who was especially helpful getting us to the airport.

The Divani Palace was absolutely amazing! The staff was exceptionally warm and helpful, the food delicious and the location central to everything! Our room was spectacular on the rooftop!

Very nice hotel. Located close to all the sites and is easy to walk to Plaka. The breakfast was very nice and a good spread. The rooms were nice and clean and had all amenities. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is in a great location and has the most amazing view of the Acropolis. It’s so beautiful on the inside too. Super friendly staff. Meticulously clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here will definitely come back again.

Fabulous location. My room had a balcony with a view of the Acropolis. The bed was super comfortable and I had the best night’s sleep. I booked dinner at a nearby restaurant which was out of lamb chops and other menu items, and the waiter was very rude, so I had a drink and left. I went back to the hotel and had a delicious dinner with a gorgeous view of the Acropolis. Everyone was kind and helpful. The reception staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Finally, before leaving for the airport, very kind Mr Michael helped me with my luggage and booked me a cab to take me to the airport, I lost no time walking to and seeing the Acropolis because of his help and how accommodating ALL the staff was. I don’t think I have ever been so well treated with kindness and accommodation. I hope to return

Location was excellent and convenient

I did like the property. At checkin, they switched our room to a smaller room and made me sign a document that said I authorized it. In truth, I wasn't provided a choice and was told I would still be in a large room. I was traveling with my son and needed 2 beds and the extra room. In fact, I ended up with 2 twin beds and a small room. The price was not reduced. I had to ask the staff to please sweep the floors in our room as they were dirty.

This could easily be considered a 5 star hotel. The lobby area was GRAND, with plenty of quiet eating. The rooms were very nicely appointed, and plenty of features, like in-room luxury coffee machine. We could see the frigging Acropolis from our balcony, which was just awesome! Refreshing HOT breakfast was included, which was very nice. Rooms were very nice and clean. The only pet peeve we had was that the shower area had only a partial door, so had to stand ion one place to shower, else water would come out. the second one was the very weird sink they had. Not sure if this is a Greek thing, but besides these minor annoying things, the experience was easy 5 star. If you stay in Athens, make this your first choice

The lobby and restaurants have heavy perfume pumped into the air. To avoid migraine headache i had to cover my nose. Ugh

The view on the rooftop was awesome. The rooms were clean. The hotel is close to the Acropolis Museum. The streets are quiet. The staff are so so nice. Highly recommend.

Divani palace was great. Close to all of the ancient archaeological sites. There were several good restaurants in the area. Away from the acropolis band around the was a fabulous bakery that served food and breakfast. On the same street was another good spot Sfika but our favorite was up towards the acropolis and take a left and it was Fratti. Good atmosphere and gracious hosts!

Great stay.

The Staff and Facilities are excellent, and the Acropolis Secret Terrace dinning was a perfect end to each day.

The services received during the check in by Natasa and Mary was outstanding. Both offered my help and support on my needs and both were very kind. Also Marios and Spyros were excellent as well, very helpful on everything, especially Marios that spoke with us in Spanish to make us feel at home. Excellent experience, looking forward to return in the near future with friends.

The staff were very nice and helpful, including Natasha and Uary. We absolutely loved our meal in the rooftop restaurant with the lovely view.

Divani Palace is a very nice property. It is clean and staff are conscientious and pleasant. The room was clean. The rooftop restaurant is very good, with excellent waiters/waitresses and a great view of the Parthenon. I would suggect having a smart TV that can show content other than Greek only. Also it wasn't clear that normal bottles of water in the refrigerator were charged at 6EU/Container.

A large hotel, with very personal service. The front desk was so accommodating. We got an upgrade to a fantastic room with two bathrooms. The upstairs bar was lovely for a nightcap with the Acropolis view. Would stay again, if in the mood for a large hotel. Terrific.

Great looking lobby but the rooms are outdated. We had an issue with the cleaning staff taking some change from the nightstand. The reception clerk was apologetic but it really gave us a bitter taste for the stay.

A quality, comfortable, well-managed hotel in an excellent location for a city visit. There is no outstanding view from any of the rooms, but leave the front entrance and walk 100m to the left and there is the Acropolis in all its glory.

This hotel is really nice but the rooms are a little dated specially the bathrooms. But worth being in the center of the city and close to the acropolis.

Great staff, but building needs a lot of maintenance, ac makes noise,toilet doesn't flush,sink doesn't work, water doesn't drain.

The hotel is brilliantly located and has everything that is needed but some of the facilities need modernizing / refreshing. In particular, the area used for breakfast (which was pretty good) is dark and depressing as is the bar area.

Some not good in room services

Staff was very helpful, especially Michael and the other doorman. The website is true in its description. Be sure to eat an evening meal on the rooftop for a spectacular view of the Parthenon at night. Thanks, Michael for arranging transportation when needed. Perfect location, beautiful hotel!

Staff was amazing! Property itself was very dated. Definitely would not consider this a 5 star property. We didn’t even get turn down service. Again though, staff was the best part of the hotel.

Under the impression there was airport transfer but there is not. Clean, close to ruins but pool is smaller than expected and need to walk through lobby to get it. When we went to the bar on top for drinks they put us in the bushes couldn’t see the acropolis and plants got stuck in my hair

Our room was next to utility room and employees where making terrible noise was not able to rest.

We stayed for 4 nights. The location was perfect for us. Facility was very clean. The lobby area must have been updated because the rooms were very outdated compared to the lobby. I will have to say that the noise level from outside and near by rooms were loud and could easily be heard in our room. We were on the 5th floor with balcony. The restaurant was amazing and beautiful! The staff in the hotel I have mixed feelings about. The staff in the restaurant were AMAZING! If you want the view then this would be a great place.

Proximity to the Acropolis

Not quite what the pictures show. The room was nice but was expecting nicer. I paid for Acropolis view, you had to go out on the balcony and turn around to see it so don’t bother paying extra.

I liked how friendly and helpful the staff was. They were available for whatever I needed, and took care of any concerns right away. I would have liked to see some recycling containers, which would have confirmed eco-friendliness of the property.

Overall great location and excellent breakfast. Thought we can relax with few drinks and relaxed dinner at the rooftop garden after a long day tours and hot summer but the restaurant was more formal and detached from the hotel. The views of Acropolis were great though!

The hotel is within a 5 minute walking distance to all the attractions, including the Acropolis, Plaka and museums. With an abundance of cafes and restaurants at your doorstep. Staff are attentive, warm and always very helpful. The rooftop dinning area is the best in Athens. We look forward to staying here again!

Great hotel that’s close to everything

The service was great and the room was nice, but: (1) the restaurant’s sea bass was not fresh (and all the portions are small); (2) the restaurant’s pool is overlooked by surrounding apartment buildings, which limits privacy and limits sunshine.

Nice people, got upgraded room as a gold member, liked the area and the hotel.

This was my 2nd visit to Divani Palace and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the safe part of town where you can walk just a couple blocks to the Acropolis and Plaka for shopping and great dining options in Athens. I highly recommend it and the hotel has a wonderful rooftop bar and restaurant, a lovely pool, gym and archeological ruins on display in the lower level of the hotel! I will definitely be back soon!

The best thing about this hotel is the location! Very walkable. In addition, the staff is great. We loved being greeted by Alexandros and the other greeters each time we entered the hotel and the tall curly haired lady with glasses who worked in the dining room was wonderful but I can’t remember her name. The breakfast buffet was great. The room was spacious with plenty of closet space. We enjoyed being able to cool off in the heat of the day in the refreshingly cool water of the pool. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a marvelous stay at this hotel. The courtesy of the staff stands out in the way they made you feel special and taken care of. The anticipation of customer needs is phenomenal. We had an early flight, and the front desk staff provided a boxed breakfast for our long trip. They treated us not just as guests but as family. Thank you, Divani, for providing us with the customer experience we will always cherish when considering our vacation in Greece.

4th stay at this hotel..enjoyed them all

The hotel was one of the best that I have stayed at in all of my travels. The rooms were exceptionally taken care of, the staff went above and beyond in making sure that all my needs were met. They were friendly and made me feel at home during my stay. The front desk staff was exceptional particularly Lefki who made sure i was comfortable every step of the way and made my sure my stay was a relaxing and joyful experience. Not to leave anyone out, overall all staff were wonderful at this hotel. I highly recommend it.

The rooftop restaurant was my favorite. The room and the hotel stay was just average.

Love the view and service on the rooftop restaurant. The room was average and the shower in the bathroom didn't work. We came to find out about it the morning of our check out. When mentioned at the time of check out. The response from the front desk for very dismissive. I highly doubt it that I would be staying at this hotel again.

Great location and view in Acropolis.

I stayed 5 days in Divani palace, the location is great, close to Acropolis and many other sites on a walking distance. The facilities at the hotel are wonderful including breakfast, gym and the amazing terrace on the 6th floor. My only question is my booking included a bottle of wine at arrival which I never received. Just do not offer things you will not provide. Otherwise, overall it was pretty good.
