My family had an incredible stay at this hotel. They were super accommodating with our late check in. There’s parking and an elevator. The staff were amazing and recommended some places to go nearby. We highly recommend this hotel, we loved it here!

The best Breakfast we ever had with such a big variety of fresh bread, cold cuts, jam, eggs, bacon, fruits, juice, muslix, and friendly staff.

The manager accommodated our after hours/late check-in which was much appreciated. He is warm, friendly and made us feel welcome. Also, he was helpful by making recommendations for sight-seeing. The breakfast buffet is great.

Great place to stay!

We loved this hotel! The views of the mountain foothills were lovely. The breakfast buffet was great and the staff were so very nice. This hotel is a short drive to Fussen and the castles but it felt calm and relaxed, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist city.

Great hotel and staff. Even with a late arrival, we were greeted with an envelope on the front door when we arrived that included a welcome message and our room key. We had a great breakfast the next morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again in the future.

proximity to Neuschwanstein Castle but in peaceful setting

This was a lovely small hotel. The staff were very helpful, including instructions if we arrived after the front desk was closed, and a very good recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good. Our room was clean and warm. Very nice for our short stay in Austria.

A good base of operations for sightseeing nearby castles, even up to Wieskirche.

Nice stay

The hotel room was good, just rather small. Our room overlooked the road. The view was amazing. Lots of road noise for most of the night. The room was clean, but had a old smell; maybe from carpet. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. It was full of many choices. Meats, eggs, fruit, veggies, yogurt, toppings for yogurt, bread and more. It also had a delicious beverage area. The sauna area was nice with plenty of towels and a area to shower off and chairs for relaxing. Make sure to request sauna as they have to turn it on 30 minutes before you can use it.

Friendly staff, quite area

The room was really nice, but make sure you have drinks and such. There is a vending machine but it dies not have everything. We arrived late and the staff was nice enough t wait for us. They typically do not staff reception 24/7, because it is more of bed and breakfast. The roomwas nice and had lots of windows.its nice to letthe cool air in at night or diring the day. Very comfortable bed as well. We missed breakfast due to our early depature for the castles. There is a small restaurant 200 meters away that has good austrian/german food and some italian. They make their own cheese even. The spaghetti bolognese, kase spaetzle, and wiener schnitzel were excellent. Its a really cute town. My group asked about the chances of getting Schloss Neuschwanstein tickets and were told we would not get tickets. Do not believe that. The ticket office opens at 7:30, we got in line at 7:35 and had tickets for Neuschwannstein at 10:25 and Hochenschwanau for 12:45 so it is possible.

Good location for outdoor pursuits, but not for us

This is not really a hotel, more a guest house. There are no staff on duty for most of the time. There are no bars nearby - there is a vending machine if you want a beer! One restaurant in walking distance which we didn't try as it didn't look very enticing. Breakfast is good although on our first morning a lot of things had run out even though we were there an hour before breakfast ended. The breakfast room was badly managed with small children being allowed to spread toys across the floor by one of the main doors and no one to ask the parents to stop them. Actually quite unsafe. There was one member of staff on duty in the room who was clearly struggling to cope. The second day was much better with four staff on duty! Our room was not cleaned and made up on the first day - the hotel management did apologise for this. Hot water lukewarm in evening.

loved the area. Great location view was great

Very enjoyable and cozy. Loved the old decorations and feel of hotel. I would recommend for any time of year. We stayed in December and the. mountain views are breath taking.

Nice, quite, clean and new

Nice, well cept and updated hotel. Quite area, good restaurant. New bathroom, clean, comfrtable, Good size rooms with balconies. Good breakfast.

clean, suite type hotel in Black Forest

Overall, a nice hotel with garaging for motorcycles. Only shortfalls were meager breakfast offerings, 3rd floor roof slope is so acute that we banged our heads on the bathroom ceiling and only 4 ft space over tub made shower unusable except for use as a bathtub, and no air conditioning( although it was unusually hot for early Sept).

Not as advertised

BEWARE: Internet ONLY in lobby. Rooms in detached building from restaurant and lobby and NO signal other than lobby. This is a misrepresentation, which is obviously intentional and unfair as I don't think I would have booked had I known this. Breakfast typical European (very nice); staff helpful; had dinner in restaurant, which was good (nothing special); room OK (we had attic apartment and adults banged heads on sloped ceilings) but room was adequate but minimal at best. IMPORTANT: Must climb stairs to room but stairwells are NOT lighted -- you must locate switches on wall each level yet switches not lighted so you have to grope in the dark to find them. A 2-star hotel that's a over-rated based on other reviews (in my opinion).

Adorable place

This is a lovely place. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was a nice room, and quiet. The restaurant was very good, and we enjoyed one of the best dinners we've had while on our 63 day Europe trip.

Superb Family Hotel

A great family hotel, the apartment was perfect for our small family, the baby monitor worked on the terrace and in the restaurant. The staff in this particular hotel is some of the friendliest you'll see anywhere. Overall a great experience.

A nice out of the way hotel. Room was large, clean and had very nice bathroom. Bed was comfortable and view from the balcony was of course amazing. We only stayed for one night, but both the dinner in the restaurant (I recommend the Käsespätzle) and the breakfast were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful and everything was clean. All and all a very pleasant stay.

A nice and quite night

It was a confortable and pleasure stay. I advice this location if you want to visit Fussen (it is far about 20 Kms) and to save money. All the staff was very kind. The only problem is that Hofen is a small town and if you want to spend some time in the night you have to use your car.

Lovely family owned guesthouse in Trol

We are a family with two daughters (8 and 12 years old). We rented an app. Two rooms, kitchen. The appartments were quiet with balcony overlooking the mountains.

Great hotel at great price!

The staff and ownership were very friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. View was fantastic! The rooms were clean and spacious. Close to Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. We only wish we had been able to stay longer. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Dusty, smokey liliehof

The lilliehof hotel was semi charming on the outside. The room was dusty and kind of old. The beds were ok but the bath towels smelled a bit like smoke and food. The rooms and bathroom were clean just smokey and in need of some update. The breakfast buffet was very nice though

Sieht von aussen etwas angewöhnt aus, man wird aber positiv überrascht sobald man eintritt. Sehr schön renoviert, top gepflegt, super Frühstück.
