Hotel was good and service friendly. However the bed collapsed in the middle and therefore really uncomfortable.
Beautiful property, lovely star , great location
Stunning property in a beautiful location.
Relaxing
Quite location
Had such an amazing and relaxing stay at Didsbury House Hotel. The place is immaculate, the staff as extremely helpful, I had a little issue that needed resolving and the communication between the staff leaving shift and the new staff coming on shift was great. Loved it, will certainly be back again.
Incredible stay! Such a wonderful staff and an absolutely beautiful building!
Beautifully decorated and presented period hotel. Someone had gone to great lengths to ensure that the room had absolutely everything required for our stay. Breakfast the following morning was the best that we have ever experienced. Thankyou
Beautiful place
It was an impromptu stay but very well worth it. Relaxing and peaceful. Lovey breakfast. Thank you
Very comfortable stay
Very comfortable local hotel, friendly staff and nice room
Excellent experience at the Didsbury house hotel, the staff were all lovely and the location was very convenient. The room was beautiful and quiet. Will stay there again, Thanks!
2nd time staying here and coming back next week! It’s a perfect piece of England , lovely eateries picture perfect walks
Very nice hotel with excellent staff Breakfast very nice
Relaxing stay with friendly and supportive staff.
Great place to stay near the city
Clean, comfy room about 10 or so mins from the city centre, large bed and shower with good pressure. The carpet was very soft might I add, first time in Manchester and definitely not the last- will stay here again
Love this hotel! Beautiful rooms, great ambience, elegantly styled and an excellent team with a really warm welcome. It looks even more stunning now is decorated for Xmas!
Nice surroundings but not a good overall experienc
Condescending receptionist on checkout when I pointed out errors on the bill. Would never return because of that. Room cold, extremely noisy, it sounded like next store were getting up through the night to use toilet. Asked for not too many stairs on my booking but my request wasn't granted. When I mentioned this the receptionist seem to blame me. Should've, would've!
Lovely
Wonderful stay - lovely building, staff were friendly and breakfast was amazing. A few areas need redecorating and carpets were worn then we had to ask for the towels to be replaced but it didn’t detract from the overall stay.
Really lovely boutique hotel. Would love to come back and stay for longer.
Excellent stay! Beautiful room and bathroom. Only thing i would have liked is a plug socket on the other side of the bed too - to charge your phone at night :)
Lovely cosy room with attractive decor. Friendly staff. On site parking. Very convenient for Didsbury village. Excellent breakfast.
Well kept, interesting property. Staff very helpful
First time staying at this hotel, wanted somewhere close to Manchester but not right in the city centre. Nice boutique hotel with lots of character, decor was lovely. Our room had an upper level with a shower and bath with lovely high ceilings. Room also came with tea/coffee facilities, a mini bar with drinks and snacks for a fee, toiletries, hairdryer. Breakfast was wonderful, set in a cosy dining space with the choice of continental or cooked breakfast. Parking was also free on site which was helpful. Closest tram to the city was about a 10 minute walk and then takes around 30 minutes to get into piccadilly. Alternatively an Uber during the day cost around £13. Only small areas for improvement; the mattress in our room was a bit firm and one of those old spring style ones. It was also very hot over the days we were there and unfortunately there was no air con or fans in the room so was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend.
One night stay - lovely room and staff only too willing to please
Excellent, quiet location - a short walk from Didsbury village. Beautifully decorated hotel. Warm, welcoming and very helpful staff.
Love the room we had, a great size and well kept. Can’t wait to go back!
Room 22 smelt of sewage. The window was open and there is a drain outside
Didsbury House Hotel
What a fantastic hotel. The staff were exceptional, the room was outstanding. Will definitely stay again
We stayed in room 45, which has shutters on the window but could do with a blind to supplement them and keep the light out. The room was spacious and well presented.
Definitely recommend
Beautiful hotel with great staff.
Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Decor throughout the hotel is stylish and individual. Staff were excellent.
Fabulous place to stay . Also extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.
Great stay. Beautiful room. Would definitely stay again.
love the baths
A lovely boutique hotel
A lovely hotel with excellent service. Really different and doesn't take long to get into Manchester if that's where your heading. Have stayed several times now. Love it.
Overpriced. Heating turned off in late October, my elderly parents were told the heating doesn't come on until later in the year? offered a portable heater instead. One robe provided between 2 people, chipped cups in the room. Breakfast was very nice but that was an additional cost on top of the £185. Disappointing.
The room was excellent and even better then what we thought it would be. Great staff as well
Fantastic hotel
Lovely quiet hotel in a leafy suburb of Manchester. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food was plentiful and delicious!
Good stay. Enjoyed.
Would definitely stay there again.
Great staff Wonderful service all round Great attention to detail
Disappointed
Lovely hotel. However, the heating in the bedroom and the towel rail in the bathroom were not on. When I asked why, reception informed me that the indoor heating is controlled by the outdoor temperature. However, both the bedroom and bathroom were very cold! The month of February in Manchester is not usually known for tropical heatwaves! I have stayed at many hotels and individual room heating controls are usually available. I also couldn’t see the point of a heated towel rail warning when it wasn’t actually ever on!
The property was clean and impressive. A good nights sleep also.
Just lovely and very relaxing!
3rd time here and 3rd time in another room too. Our room (40) was really odd as it had a really old wooden bed that freaked all night. It had a Travel Lodge style mattress and the softest pillows we’ve ever slept in. Overall the quality of sleep was really poor. Considering we’ve stayed here twice before, and while we appreciate that each room has a character that is different, at least get the bed right considering the cost. It isn’t cheap but this stay felt really poor as the bed quality was really bad. Disappointing and to be honest has lead me to not come back. I’ve stayed in London 4/5 stars that are cheaper and have things like pools and gyms. For the money, it isn’t worth the risk that you’ll be allocated a travel lodge bed by chance.
Sky failure
Only real problem was the Sky TV - it didnt work initially and I had to get reception staff to help. Required turning on and off at mains several times to kick start it
Home form home
Great comfort especially the bed. Lots of special touches. Lovely bathroom great shower. Amazing breakfast.
Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Location excellent with plenty of free parking.
What a lovely place to stay, the room was very unusual and had a mazzaninexa
Smelled
There was a sewerage smell on my room
Lovely clean hotel with good size room in a great location
A lovely hotel, Georgian. Very nice lounge with a cozy fire. The breakfast was nice, and well presented.
Well looked after from the minute we arrived. Nothing was too much for the staff, professional and courteous. Will definitely come back again for the 5 star, personable service.
Comfortable. Clean hotel with good room facilities
Nice boutique hotel
Perfect stay
Amazing hotel, brilliant service and perfect cleanliness in room. Love the deco of the rooms and the attention to detail. 100% recommend
Lovely Victorian Villa, comfy rooms
Went well
Nice room good bathroom Pillows a bit soft and no milk provided for tea were only issues
Beautiful small hotel in excellent location.
Friendly and efficient staff. Room was excellent size even though described as a snug room. Immaculately clean. Food and drink prices on the expensive side so ate in Didsbury. Breakfast at £14 felt steep. Small amount of in-room drinks in offer. Digital radio in the bedroom was a nice touch and the decor was beautiful. A brief stay but would recommend to others.
A (fabulous) stay outside of Manchester city centr
Arrived a bit early and room not ready but kindly allowed to park up. Had sandwiches in the on site bar which were fresh and served with a smilein the outdoor patio. Room ready when finished and for a cost room I have to say this was brilliant. Big bed, nice clean bathroom (no bath), fresh, felt covid safe, and great value. Little touches like Nespresso machine and fresh milk make a stay so much more comfortable. Didn't take breakfast. If I was to criticise one thing it would be that when leaving it was unfortunate not to be asked if we had had a comfortable stay, which would have been very complimentary of our entire, albeit short, stay.
Beautiful quaint hotel, lovely room and wonderful staff…
Excellent hotel
Amazing hotel and location. Always return back, cleanliness at the highest standards and friendly staff, always accommodating.
All very very good
Luxurious , not ostentatious
Stayed as wedding anniversary treat,as this hotel about 5 mins walk from church we married in more than 30 years ago. Delightful Victorian villa with huge but comfortable public rooms. Our bedroom had door opening onto a courtyard( seemed to be only one that did)but despite there being patio heaters weather not really suitable for sitting out. As well as freestanding bath in room with bed ( sorry but I don't really understand this idea) there was a huge shower.Ask for a nonslip bathmat.Lots of teabags,Nespresso machine and fresh milk in fridge.Only very tiny niggle was that switches for both bedside /reading lights on one side of bed. Didn't have meals as knew there are lots of places to eat out in Didsbury.A most relaxing indulgent break.
i just love this hotel
Beautiful hotel superb cleanliness Breakfast was lovely, sadly the food during the day/evening not great as I have stayed before And was previously excellent. But due to current circumstances may have been factor ( covid 19 ) Every room in unique I love that place and will go again
Wonderful stay
Rooms really lovely. Well equipped, super comfortable, good value and will definitely return
Interesting property, unique decor, poor food service, very expensive considering the lack of facilities.
Lovely period hotel close to Didsbury centre. Room was nice and quiet with comfy bed.
Lovely hotel, very stylish with nice touches such as fresh biscuits in the room. Very helpful staff who gave us a surprise upgrade. Only quibble is that the room was very hot even with the radiator off and window open!
There were no temperature controls in the room and it was boiling hot. The radiator was turned off and I needed to open a window in January to be able to sleep.
n amazing find
An amazing find. Very comfortable bedroom. Room facilities excellent Lovely place to relax and unwind. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Superb boutique hotel
Superbly done out 'comfy' room, split level with the bath and shower upstairs, unique and tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lots to do nearby in Didsbury. We hope to stay there again.
relaxing whenon business
this is a really lovely stay away from home . comforts that you have at hand at home and when away on business this makes it really special. Staff were really helpful. Food great.
Pretty building, spacious room, perfect location with great parking

Booked this last minute for personal reasons, the staff were great and the room was just what i needed at that time. Bath is perfect size, ambience was amazing. Loved the soft lighting and music as i walked in. I've lived round the corned for 12 years and never new there was spa treatments as well.
