Amazing resort, staff is very friendly

Viesnīca atrodas tuvu lidostai. Ir sava smilšu pludmale. Ļoti plaša teritorija. Ja dzīvojat Club room (ar skatu uz lagūnu), līdz brokastīm būs jāiet ilgāk. Viesnīca ir "gados" - vēlams remonts. Ja blakus numurā gadās kaimiņš, kas krāc, tad savā numurā to ļoti labi dzirdēsiet. Toties apkārtne ir zaļa, daudz ziedu krūmu. Ja kavēsiet uz ēdienreizi - var būt mazāka ēdienu izvēle. Apkalpojošais personāls būs smaidīgāks, ja aizvedīsiet viņiem melno šokolādi. Atstāsiet dzeramnaudu numurā - dvieļi uz gultas būs salocīti kā gulbīši. Lietot labāk USD, eiro monētas viņi "nemīl". Pludmali slēdza ciet jau pl. 17.00. Iemesls – uz krastu nākot jūras eži. Hurgadā mēdz būt ļoti spēcīgs vējš pat vairākas dienas pēc kārtas. Tad pa gaisu iet smiltis un arī jūrā nebūs iespējams peldēties…

The property is pretty nice. The rooms are good and the food is pretty good for an all-inclusive. The beach is beautiful. But the entire experience was ruined by a guy at the excursion counter who tries to rip people off. He tried to charge me $30 for a taxi to the airport on my last day there. However, there was a sign that clearly stated that the charge was $10. He was trying to overcharge me and keep the profit. This was the same guy that was very shady during an excursion to Luxor a few days earlier. He was my driver and did many things to get more money out of me and other things that made me feel uncomfortable. It's a shame because other than this guy, I had a great experience at the hotel. I had a great time in Egypt as well, but I booked all of my excursions through Travelocity and not through the hotel. Like I said before, the one I booked through the hotel was very sketchy, but the ones through Travelocity where great. I know their response is "we aren't in charge of those experiences because they are third-party vendors". But they absolutely are in charge of who they put in their lobby. It's a shame because if it wasn't for that guy, this would be a 5-star review.

That is my fourth time at Desert Rose Resort. It is so good as always. Staff super friendly, Food vary good, heated pool, and mu h more. Love it

A great stay at Desert Rose!

We loved our stay at Desert Rose! My family stayed here for 6 nights and had a great time. The food is decent — good amount of choice for a buffet style hotel and a la carte restaurants were OK. The bars were plenty! The rooms were really nice, although we stayed in a recently refurbished room which was nicely decorated and kept really clean. The lagoon is great with floating platforms in the middle. I only have a few small things to comment on: (1) If you went to look for a sunbed after 8am, the. You were going to have trouble if you’re a family of 4. It might have just been a busy time. However, if you ask one of the employees, they will help and bring empty ones over. (2) We were assigned a concierge who helped with booking the a la carte restaurants, which he did. However, I contacted him about booking excursions, and he was slow to respond so I booked externally. In all honesty, booking using Viatour or Get Your Guide is easy and you can see feedback of different tours, so maybe that’s better anyway. Overall, we had a great time and will recommend to friends & family!!

Very clean and excellent service

Lovely and clean. However almost felt clinical and like a hospital. The beach is really big but it is a very long way from the hotel room. The decor is very tired I’m the rooms and reception area. Does not Falaky put you in a good mood.

lots of to do, entertaining and a wonderful team to keep you busy all day. spoke all the languages. super friendly staff. Christmas atmosphere was the best. parade and gifting little ones on Christmas day were not expected. they put a lot of efforts. Our best was Soda club for drinks after dinner. before dinner winter gardens are so pretty. and obviously the crepe and waffle bar all cheffed on the pontoon cocktail bar/restaurant beautiful to see the sun rise and sun set everyday. Finally missing the one and only Casanova. Wont say anymore, find him on the beach but don t forget to bring him a banana. Highly recomended

Very special hotel and near to my heart

I have a very good experience in desert rose hotel. The hotel is very nice food is delicious beach is great . Staff is very helpful and keen to serve you . It's not my first time to stay in this hotel and won't be the last. I have a special memory staying in desert rose

We stayed in Desert Rose in March 2022. The overall experience was excellent. All the staff were friendly and always available to help. Especially Mr. Mahomud Abdel Samad in the main resturant and Mr. Milad Salama were always looking after us and paying extra attention to ensure that we are having great time. Customer service was exceptional at all levels. The main downside was the rooms as they are outdated and in urgent need for renovations.

Not renovated- only 1 building is 5 stars.

This is not a 5 star hotel. There is only one building that is renovated and properly “5 star” - the rest of the resort is not! In a real 5 star hotel you don’t get told “no” when asking for a bathrobe or slippers. They also have no shampoo and hair conditioner. The food is decent though and the food at the specialty restaurants was delicious. Problem was, someone checked on you every 3 minutes and so you couldn’t have a normal conversation! Also I was told there is “cctv” just because I wanted to bring some dinner to my room when I wasn’t feeling well. That felt a bit strange. The staff at this hotel are nice but it should be fully renovated before considering it 5 stars.

Not my first time and won't be my last. This hotel never disappoints me. Great staff, awesome hospitality and great customer service. Delicious food awesome views....maybe the only thing they need to do is somehow changing lagoon's water

Summer vacation

The hotel is really good, it has very nice facilities, amazing beach, tasty food, and very helpful staff. The guest standard is below average for 5 stars hotel.

It was very disappointing stay. I went through the weirdest experience ever in this hotel which I won’t mention as the guest relations tried their best to resolved it. Check in process was a hassle and super slow. The place is overbooked, staff is mostly untrained and unprofessional, poor service every where you go. The room was dirty but we have been upgraded to a renovated room which was nice. Food quality still preserved which was unexpected and the a la Carte restaurants were good, especially the Mexican restaurant. Ms. Nada from the guest relation was an exception in this place, she is extremely nice and efficient.

Wonderful holiday

It was amazing experience. Everything in the hotel is perfect: landscape, Beach, activities, Staffd and the food. The food quality is excellent and also the varaities.

Amazing resort

Amazingly friendly staff! Mido from Aqua Center is so informative. He had introduced nice activities for us. We bought a Paradise Island from him but due to the bad weather, it was cancelled. Restaurant waiters were nice. Housekeeping staff was nice too. It’s a fantastic family trip fir us. :)

Third time there and will book it again and again!

It is my family third stay at DRR and my second, will def keep booking this resort. If someone would have told me you will go to the same resort more than one time, i wouldn't have agreed but DRR def changed my mind! Going there is like going to your second home, seeing your good friends welcoming you back again! staff never forgets you and they are really happy seeing you in their place again. Want to thank Ayman Fathy (bars manager) for the great effort he did for us, making sure we are getting all we need anywhere at the resort (fresh drinks specially) he kept following up and asking if we are getting we need/happy or not! Wanna thank Hani (club soda bar manager) and his whole team at the bar for all the effort they do trying to please us and for their always welcoming smile and special delicious cocktails they prepared for us. A special thanks to Teri (guest relation) she's a GEM, she never hesitates helping, before being checked in i had some requests and although she was on a holiday she made sure all is set for us when she got back to work and never forgot about my requests. A very special huge thank you for Rose bar manager, hes such and awesome person! i remember my nephew ordering fresh watermelon juice and the bartender said don't have it atm, in silence he ran towards another bar made 2 (really quickly) and brought them with a cheerful welcoming smile....you guys impress me more and more and def our next stay will be with you

Amazing Staff

The customer service is beyond excellent. People are very cheerful and helpful. However, the hotel laid some rules that made life a little inconvenient. Also, the resort is very big so walking made it inconvenient. Overall, it was a nice stay, thanks to the staff....

Rooms: standard room is ok not bad as other reviewers say, i was in 2000 complex just the bathroom needs renovation. Food: breakfast is repetitive but this is how it is in all hotels. Lunch and dinner quality of the food was not good at all and variety is very few. Snack and drinks: drinks quality differs from one bar to another and depends on the rush if too many guests waiting to be served then you get the basic if there isn't you get a well prepared drink. Snacks was burger, hotdog, pizza and fries. Also sofr ice cream and popcorn Beach and Sea,: very nice clean and sandy beach. You have a choice to swim within a lagoon or an open water. Service and cleanness: service is very friendly and quick and very clean. Check in and check out: was quick and fast, no welcome drink but that doesn't bother me. Pools and aqua: very nice pools for all ages from kids to adults. Night life and activities: well I have to say that is best hotel providing activities and night life with a very good atmosphere. The hotel grounds are very good for taking photos during the day and night with a well taken care of greenery.

Wonderful stay in great resort

No words can describe how the stay in this hotel can heal your soul First of all the check in was fast and the room was well furnished with fast wifi The hotel landscape was great . Well kept gardens . The sea : u have a lagoon with non renewable water The snorkling area is the best option for swimming and snorkling but swimming shoes are must The main restaurant food is delecious varied and service is great . Try the ranchero restaurant ( ala carte ) All the bars are great There is no night shows only Djs

Great resort, awesome staff and good food. Simply all what you need for a perfect holiday! Staff is very helpful, smiling the whole time and accomodating to all your needs. Food is tasty and new items every day. Alcoholic drinks quality is awesome as they serve pretty good brands. It was an awesome holoday due to the great hospitality this resort offers!

Good stay

Hotel is nice, clean, applies COVID19 precautionary measures except thatbwe felt it is crowded at some point. All waiters and hoyel staff are doing an awesome job except for few in the restaurants that are booked in advance. Good variety of food. Receptionist on checking out was not so good as well.

Resort is not as same as good last couple years Absolutely a disgrace ; food is not good at all Tried the Dolcie Vita Italian restaurant and that was the only good one of them all ; other than that absolutely bad. Only good treatment I had from the reception guy Amr Khafaghy ; the only one that eased things up for me and my wife his gracious and good hospitality

It was a wonderful experience with amazing services, however, some of the hotel staff were rude and not smiling.

The ground is beautiful. Meals are below average compared to other all inclusives I have stayed. Selection is s problem and menu repeats every day and every meal.

Worst Resort experience

The good first beautiful pools nice landscaping most staff friendly. Room was cheap terribly furnished and not what we expected. The guest relations were rude beyond belief.. dealt with them two times and their attitude and unwillingness to help made my wife feel very uncomfortable. The restaurants they say are fully booked and when you arrive are actually empty we were originally told that nothing was available until dinner on our last day. Then after asking the management they gave us a couple reservations and to our shock they were empty fully booked is not 2 tables out of 40 with staff standing around on their phones. The manager was smug and basically said we must understand. The buffet was bland tasteless and lacked variation. The Mexican restaurant staff were very unprofessional and rude even taking my wives plate before she was done without asking her. The wifi only occasionally works in public places. All pools and beaches close at 5 pm which is way to early.

1 The resort was amazing by giving access to an aqua park, 3 different swimming pools and a private beach with it's own secluded bay. 2 Due to the time of the year the water was very cold and out of the 3 swimming pools and aqua park only one swimming pool had heated water whilst the rest of them should have had. Also the information received at the check in regarding facilities and benefits of all inclusive package were a bit vague and incomplete which we discovered during the holiday and unfortunately for us some at the check out.

We thought that the gardens and outside facilities were excellent. The staff were amazing and the private beach/lagoon was an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and the Italian and Mexican speciality restaurants we visited. If I am honest, the resort was let down by the poor standard of the rooms as they really do need refurbishing! Housekeeping kept the rooms clean. Special thanks goes to Amgad Ahmed in the Tropicana Bar for his welcoming smile and excellent service.

Everything and every staff is nice

The reception staffs are friendly and helpful. When I checked in around 7AM, I asked if I can take breakfast? The reception agreed cause the last day I will check out at 4AM. I am glad the policy is flexible.

Best resort I’ve been too

This resort is the best I’ve been to, the place and the service is exceptional. They go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. Thank you dessert rose. Highly recommend this place. I’m great at picking a good resort but this place took it to another level. We had the all inclusive package which included all restaurants on site and there’s a great choice to pick from. The private beach is well maintained and has an amazing view and the entertainment team organised great shows and entertainment. This place is great for family’s and couples and friends. I went with my wife and kids and really enjoyed it. I will definitely return.

Had a great time. Resort is fantastic with amazing staff. Excellent buffet and a la crate restaurant choices and bar choices mean you can vary each day in the resort. Rooms are currently being upgraded and I am sure once completed it will be a 5* resort.

Go to Desert Rose!

The resort is very big with 3 pools, 5 restaurants, (4 of them a-la-carte) the food is good.The hotel organized every night party on the beach and the atmosphere was great. The personnel was very kind and carefull with us. I recomand this hotel!

Nice Hotel on the beach

We visited Deser Rose in June. It was very hot in Hurghada and the resort was too busy. The resort facilities are in good conditions, and the beach is wonderful. Three swimming pools, more than 5 restaurants, and romanian style theater. Pros: To our nice surprise, there were golf cars that can be used by the elderly or people with limited mobility (thanks to Captain Ali who offered my dad to use these cars), a few staff members went the extra mile and offered exceptional service (Ibrahim Mohamed at the main restaurant and Romany at the fish restaurant). Cons: Most of the staff were stressed out (may be because the hotel was too busy), they were just doing their job, no smile, no special service. The beds are twin beds, too small, there is no WiFi in the rooms.

Enjoyed my 15 nights. Rooms need a bit of an update ( refurbished and wi fi added )....... Lots to do. Great selection of food and Restaurants. Would definitely return for another holiday here.

Very nice place, starting with the front desk they so friendly and nice the hotel it's a little bit large so make sure you will be ready for a lot of walking, the room it's nice, not the best but it's okay, the beach is a little bit dangerous if you don't know how to swim, not recommend at all for kids because there's a suffering thing at the beach so they could get hit and the water get deep all the sudden, food if you into eating this the right place this hotel always open for something to eat and some things differently every day, the guest relation very nice spicaly Ceara, she's very nice, best bar is at the pool the bartender there very good after all this hotel have there ups and down but the people here make sure that you have fun, if you looking for a place to stay and not worry about anything really recommend this place

My lovely second home really relaxing sea view with wonderful swimming , very nice beach with very good food too many bars let u never get boring you want the day 48h because 24 is not enough you to do many things huh really very good spa .The most important is the friendly staff and very active managers who do their best to enjoy us .I m looking to return back as soon as possible.

This is real lovely resort

Thanks a lot for the friendly staff from Mr Ahmed frahhat who is very active manager till Mr kirols and Mr Mafdy at the bar who made us happy felling that we r at our home with the excellent view of the sea then relaxing at the best spa in hurgada with esp thanks to Mr Mohammed nour at the spa who is really taking care to let the spa by this perfect position ,animation team is good.

Large impersonal but beautiful gardens

Stayed 15/12-29/12 over xmas I have done a detailed review on trip advisor We only really go for the sun every xmas the hotel was very large. The staff where mainly friendly but the staff in restaurants very slow to serve drinks and as no self service it was quite frustrating. Security was very good. We would go back I think but they would have to sort the wifi out. It really is terrible. We couldn't even get on to use Viber or wots app so ended up texting home to keep in touch. We brought a data card from the very well stocked on site supermarket but it didn't work in my iPhone. So best just take an android one. On our booking info it stated that we had an xmas gala dinner inc. they didn't honour this and said it wasn't inc via ebookers. Their guests relations where ignorant unhelpful a disgrace We where very disappointed we didn't get to go to the gala dinner but I wasn't going to pay extra for it as this is what they wanted us to do.

Very good and family friendly hotel, lovely staff.

We had a wonderful time at Desert Rose. The hotel is family friendly, and the staff is great. There is always something thats going on. There are lots of activity for Adult and for Kids. There are 4 Restaurants within the resort (apart from a main one) an Italian, Lebanese, Mexican and a Sea Food. There is 1 heated pool and 3 other pools including one Olympic size pool. There is also a small Aqua Park within the resort. Our Kids had loads of fun. Just outside the resort there are loads of shops. There is a taxi service counter at the reception from where we booked out trip to Cairo, its run by 2 brothers and they were extremely helpful, not only they gave us good deal but also upgraded our taxi to mini van so that we all can go comfortably. There is also a Diving Centre in the resort where we book for scuba diving it was a wonderful experience me and my daughter we loved it. We also enjoy the SPA within the resort. There is also a desert safari tour thats operated from within the resort again it was a great experience. We had a wonderful time when the day of leaving came the kids didnt wanted to go they loved it so much. We would definitely recommend this resort (especially for families)

Such a surprise, this hotel really values its gue

I have read reviews on this site for this hotel, and understand everyone's opinion, but I am left with the thought they did not find the hotel and people I found. The hotel delivers a common experience to its guests, one you can just have, but where the people here excel is when you ask for something different, they not only make it happen, they exceed any normal persons expectations, and do it withe biggest smiles, and happiness. Take my advice do not judge this hotel onits standard service which is good but let them truly surprise, whether you want peace and quiet, a family holiday or in my case the most romantic week you could imagine Build the holiday you want with friends you did not know you had. Need something out of the hotel talk to the two brothers that run the taxi firm in reception they will find a way to make it happen, I have thanked so many people personally for this stay, the list is to long to put here. Mohammed thank you so much you have put heart into this hotel, and your approach to your guests has guided all the wonderful staff that work in your hotel, I know you are so proud of the changes in the last year and you should be. Mr Alan, as most call me!

Has potential, but it's very outdated - 3* not 5*

RESORT This is a nice, big resort, with a lot of potential, but its very outdated, especially the rooms. the resort itself its huge, nice decorations, outside looks pretty good. the pools are nice, good number of sun-beds, the same for the beach. because Hurghada in general is a windy resort, they have for each umbrella wind protection, which is a nice feature, also good for privacy. the bars are scattered all around the resort, but the choice of drinks is very limited, for an all inclusive resort is less than average. ACCOMODATION the room is very outdated, the walls have cracks in it, the bathroom is the worst part, the handle was almost falling off, there was mold on the ceiling, the shower is antique and it felt very unsanitary. the furniture is very old, but the beds were nice and comfy, and they provided warm blankets for the cold desert nights. the balcony was a plus, although be aware, there are a lot of mosquitos, especially in the night FOOD the main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, but although they have a variety (not like the turkish one, but still) its not very tasty, i've had better food on the trips to Cairo or Luxor. they had another 4 a la carte restaurants, but couldn't manage to get a reservation except the Lebanese one, they said its booked, although the restaurants were half empty the libanese one, although its supposed to be a-la-carte, it was fixed menu, served in a hurry, they brought appetisers but no plates, few meat

Excellent resort hotel with amazing staff

We stayed for 7 days with our 2 children. The first and most lasting impression was the staff. Starting with reception, they were extremely polite and efficient. We were checked in within 10 minutes of arrival. This is a huge hotel with a large number of guests but all the staff seemed to work extremely hard to make things run smoothly. The food in the main restaurant was excellent- it was fresh, well presented and delicious. The chefs changed a few dishes each day, so we never had the same exact meal twice. I preferred it to the a la carte restaurants. Due to large number of guests, I would recommend going for lunch after 1pm and dinner after 8pm. The grounds are beautiful. My main critism are 1. Very poor wi-fi. 2. The main pool (which is huge and beautifully laid out) is not heated and the pool water is freezing - most guests sunbathed around it, very few actually got in. Otherwise, this is an excellent resort.

First and last visit

Overall worst experience I ever had in a hotel out of over 10 countries I visited. We booked 6 nights of supposed to be ALL INCLUSIVE package. Food was so bad that 4 of my family got sick and lots of other people got sick as well. I tried to find out why and for sure found out that their quality control people no NOTHING about food safety guidelines. The two guys I watched(one is a Vet) immersing the thermometer in food to check for proper holding temperature were simply immersing the thermometer without sanitizing it, they were just wiping it in a towel. Most likely they were cross-contaminating the food. Rooms are very outdated to be a 5 stars hotel. I was holding the shower-head the whole bar collapsed. The hotel buildings are 3 stories high and no ELEVATORS for people with or without disability to use.Swimming pools are fine except for a white line in the middle of one of them with almost 1 inch gap between the tiles that caused two cuts to my bothers in_law feet. When I asked, they said that gap is for "heat expansion" I did not get that part to be honest.What kind of heat that will expand the tiles? The funniest part, is that you have to wait in line to get a piece of meat of chicken!! really, who told you that it works? You got steam tables that can hold that for you instead of humiliating people and make them feel they are in prison not a 5 stars hotel. Owners, try to save this place before it is too late. Go to Mexico and see what service is. Good luck.

I have stayed 4 awesome nights at Desert Rose, very friendly staff, especially Mr. Ehab and Mr. Ayman. Every night different show for kids and adults. The kids corner is very good. I strongly recommend this place for family.

Very bad rooms in good hotel

The Hotel is nice , The food is normal , but need more variety specially in lunch. The reservation is not true "All inclusive", you have to pay for some items like fresh juice in the main restaurant in dinner or lunch and ice cream from 12 to 2 included your reservation but from 2 to 4 for extra charge , i see this is very mean from them. Big swimming pools one of them is heated but they close it very early at 5 pm more than 1 hour before sunset ( Most hotels open swimming pools from sunrise to sunset ). The Lagoon is nice.

2 stars rooms in a 5 stars hotel

The Hotel is nice , The food is normal , but need more variety specially in lunch. The reservation is not true "All inclusive", you have to pay for some items like fresh juice in the main restaurant in dinner or lunch and ice cream from 12 to 2 included your reservation but from 2 to 4 for extra charge , i see this is very mean from them. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, any problems were dealt with in record time. The pools are clean and extremely well supervised. The restaurants certainly cater to all tastes and even the fussiest of easters could find something to suit their palette. The Bars have a good selection and the bar staff will make you cocktails to your liking. Bar Topicana was a real favourite for us with Shazly and his team going above and beyond to make our time there so fantastic! As was the Rose Bar cocktail lounge. Too many exceptional staff to mention but all certainly made our holiday! Without doubt we will return!

Beautiful gardens and beach

This hotel is kept immaculate and the staff from the managers down to the cleaners are so friendly and always willing to help or talk to everyone. The biggest disappointment was the way the other restaurants had to be booked if your wanted to use them. You had to queue at guest relations at 2pm to get in 3 days later. As the weather was a bit cold the fish restaurant was closed, the Fatoosh was closed for general use. You had to be especially invited to eat there. The Italian (which only did 1 pasta dish and nothing else Italian on the menu) was at extra charge to use. The only one left was the Mexican which was lovely I need to add. But impossible to get in. We only went in the Italian & the Mexican because we complained to the Manager of guest relations after queuing for 3 days in a row and always being told the Mexican was full but we could pay for the Italian.They also don't tell you that you can only use each restaurant once, no matter how long you stay. This needs addressing as it is described as all inclusive and gives the wrong impression of what is available to you. Smoking in the winter gardens needs stopping altogether as the children are in there for the entertainment.. .most of the hotel is non smoking so why permit it in there. You pass the smoking area to go to the toilet and your clothes smell of smoke after being in the room. Anywhere enclosed should be smoke free.

Amazing hotel

We had an amazing week at the desert rose, from arriving at hotel everything was perfect. Firstly the guest relation Amhed explained everything to us about hotel then we were taken in buggy to our room that was a lot bigger then I thought it would be overlooking beach. There's a fish restaurant that serves breakfast but initially we had wrong colour band but this was quickly rectified so I would say make sure you get a black bracelet.at breakfast was always very calm overlooking Red Sea .The Rose bar is very nice and staff very pleasant and measures are generous. (This is an adult only bar) the Mexican is excellent . We throughly enjoyed our week at The desert Rose and will return in Nov

Fantastic hotel

Despite our first upset of having our daughters iPad stolen(from her hand luggage case that we had to leave outside whilst we checked in) We had an amazing time, been to Egypt 4 times now and have never stayed in such a friendly hotel, every member of staff always speaks and asks if there is anything they can do for you. Entertainment team work very very hard to keep you entertained although shows are very well geared to the English but lots going on in other bars if not to cold to use them. Food was a good for an all inclusive, have a very fussy daughter but she found something different each day. Beautiful beach. Mall is only 20 min walk away. The Christmas gala was out of this world.The grounds to the hotel are just breathtaking. All in all a super hotel and we will be returning but being sur not to leave valuables out of our site.

You get what you pay for !!!!

Great view from club suite, but if you book a club suite you have to walk half way across the resort for food and drink after 5pm.. It is next to impossible to get reservations for restaurants so you only have the buffet for food, and it is a cattle call and the food is terrible even if you are drunk... We had to go down the street to Starfish restaurant for our dinners. It is easy to see why the place is half empty....

Great location, managers & stuff

nice stay managers are professional, guest oriented always looking for feedback and survey. stuff are great with friendly smile . bearing and trying to satisfy different kind of guest Beach was fantastic and Bella vista beach bar too great variety of tasty food .. Italian, Mexican. Lebanese, seafood, oriental.... kids area was big enough with various games the only problem was with the crowd over pool and some kind of guest but still there are 3 pools and great beach . you will find a way for private stay Italian restaurant is superb with great atmosphere , rose bar too seafood restaurant has the best view ever Lebanese restaurant very tasty food. lucky to attend tanora and belly dance show all three with great managers and stuff Bella vista bar . no words can describe. the view. the service . the stuff. beach excellent relaxation balcony view was super excellent by the way it's safe place for your kids to move and play freely wish you will enjoy your stay there

5 STAR SERVICE FROM BEGINNING TO END OF OUR STAY.

We booked this hotel at the last minute after a disappointing stay at another hotel not too far away, as it was my wife's birthday, we booked online for the remaining 6 days of our holiday. From the moment we walked into reception with an efficient booking in and refreshing cold drink we were highly impressed with everything about the hotel. We were shown to our room which was clean,modern and spacious and our luggage was then brought to us within minutes. We had been given 2 key cards along with a map of the huge resort and a list of all the information that we would need to help us maximise and enjoy our stay. There are numerous eateries and bars spread over the complex - all we might add very clean and serving good food and drink throughout the day and night. The staff on the Desert Rose Resort are all very helpful and friendly and happy to chat to you and help in any way they can - nothing is too much trouble for them in the quest to help with our stay at the Resort. We will be recommending this hotel and cannot speak highly enough of our stay there and we will definitely be returning to the FANTASTIC and FRIENDLY DESERT ROSE RESORT.

Excellent hotel!

Really enjoyed our stay. Excellent hotel with fantastic food and a great variety of restaurants and bars. Enthusiastic animation team who were great with the kids and provided lots of activities during the day and entertainment in the evening. Cannot fault this lovely hotel at all, wish we had booked for longer and will definitely go back.

Not even two stars

Very bad experience, food was very bad, rooms are not clean, bathrooms are horrible. Gotta walk a lot to get to the restaurants. They advertise that they have four restaurants, that's BS you need a reservation with a 24 hours advanced notice to eat at the restaurants. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere.

Far away from expectations !!!

From the very beginning I was really shocked that this resort is classified as 5 Stars Hotel! The rooms comfort is really poor in Spite my accommodation was in a Sea view suite( Damaged Security cupboard - Sofa leg was broken - Toilet is horrible - room finishing is very ugly) The food quality served in breakfast and in other meals is really bad. To be honest they have a great landscape with a lot of green areas and several swimming pools - Staff with really friendly and supportive

Lovely hotel, not for the Brits

We had a lovely stay here just recently. The hotel facilities are great, the staff are amazing and can't do enough for you. The only downside and why we would recommend to our friends is that it is more geared up to accommodate Russians and Eastern european. This let down the food element for us. Whilst me and my family like to try different foods I have to say the selection was rather odd. Spaghetti, beef burgers and roasted veg for breakfast has to be a first! No cheeses and no cold meats and some of the main meals were slightly let down by being on the cold side. We were also one of two British families in the resort and heard a rumour there was one other somewhere, so if you like to mingle the this isn't the place for you. It didn't bother us though and overall had a great holiday and our 4 year old daughter loved evry min.

Best of the Red Sea

I was not sure how my stay would go in the Red Sea since our usual vacation is Florida or if we wanted to get adventurous it's Cancun. For the same money we were able to visit Egypt and the Red sea, which is the best body of water I've been in, clear water and full of marine life. This resort has everything we needed for the whole family, an aqua park for the kids, open bars everywhere for the adults and even a nightclub on the premises. They have free daycare that's open all day. The food was great and for every taste, I didn't know egyptian food was so good. Rooms were big and relatively close to the beach, which was more like a lagoon with a section of it on the open sea. Lots of ativity and entertainment provided by the hotel. The city was less than a 10 min drive and very lively with lots of shopping and walks. Thank you for the staff for making my birthday one to remember. I can't wait until our next vacation.

Really nice hotel but not quite 5*

Lovely hotel with spacious rooms but is a little tired in places. The food was tasty but not really enough choice for vegetarians. Pools were beautiful and we'll maintained. The lagoon is gorgeous. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and happy to assist. We were the only English people in the hotel so the staff took a shine to us. I would not return but only because I want that bit of extra luxury now I'm getting older but I would recommend the hotel for value for money.

Stay away unless your Russian

I wouldn't venture to this place if you paid me.. We stayed two nights with an all-inclusive deal - the food was catering for the masses and not very tasty.. the staff couldn't speak English well however appeared to be able speak Russian. Seriously this resort is just full of Russians. The rooms were old and felt it. The checkin was a disaster and despite requesting co-joining rooms as I have kids we weren't given rooms. I called the front desk and they said they would call back in 5 mins - no call was received. The service and overall experience left a lot to be desired.
