If you like quiet and peaceful in a beautiful well manicured setting then this is the place. There are plenty of amenities for exercise including swimming, tennis, racquet ball, gym and a restaurant that is on the comex. Great for relaxing rejuvenation.

A very nice property and an excellent location.

The staff was wonderful and helpful! Each condo has his own parking and the condos are big and comfortable.

It is a condominium style Hotel.Much better than the photos they provided. The kitchen has microwave, toaster, oven, coffee maker and plenty of dishes. The bedroom has a comfortable bed with high-quality sheets and big TV. The living room has sofa bed and a TV. There’s a BBQ grill at the patio over looking a fountain. The lit tennis courts, jacuzzi and a laundry room are great. There is a parking lot and a restaurant in the property.

This is our home away from home! Very comfortable unit, spacious rooms. Love having a working fireplace!! Full kitchen, has everything.

Great grounds. Nice, clean spacious suites with with two restrooms, each with shower. Large balcony in ours was a plus. All you need within walking / driving distance. Much better than expected based on description.

Nicely appointed, the suites are really small apartments with a very well-appointed kitchen and full fridge (and 2 bathrooms!). Convenient, very quiet, staff very nice.

The water was not working in the morning which meant not showers, coffee, brushing teeth. It was a terrible inconvenience and front desk did not know anything. I walked outside by the pool to see a large hole dug up so I asked is this was why the water is off. I was told yes. It would have been nice to know about this rather than be waiting to rake a shower and could not.

Amazing experience. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We didn’t realize the room we had was a 2 bathroom/1bedroom. Bed was comfy and there was a lot of space throughout, with a full kitchen and backyard with patio furniture and grill. While we were there for only one night and didn’t use the pool or hot tub, it all looked nice and clean and super refreshing. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. Will definitely return.

Nice mountain background and met most of our needs

It was an excellent experience. The front desk staff was nice and answered all of our questions. Parking was close to the unit. There is a shopping center right across the way with everything you need (ie, Walgreens, etc) and site is positioned in a part of Palm Springs with a beautiful mountain background. The room had everything we needed and felt clean, furniture was a bit outdated, but did not take away anything from stay. The only issue was that there was not bbq propane and I wish the shower had more water pressure.

Spacious room with living room, kitchen and separate bathroom and two bathrooms. Only thing to be careful of is the parking carports are very low. Be careful if you open back door from inside your vehicle.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Condos are large,clean and when you first entered they smelled amazing! I loved the 2 bathrooms,fireplace,2 big tvs, and the bed was very comfy with 2 pillows provided each for the king bed. Staff are great. Bring your own hand softsoap and shampoo/bodywash. They only give you a tiny one for the first night. Bring a microwave splatter lid if you use it a lot. It was hotter than mine at home. All the guests were very friendly too. Your condo is cleaned once a week but all paper products are free for the asking. They provide a recycling blue bin and garbage cans. Dishwasher tabs and dish soap is provided. A very pleasant stay! Would go back again!

Excellent place for staycation.

The suite we stayed in was perfect for our family of 3. We enjoyed the large, deep pool and it was by far the cleanest pool I've ever seen at a property. The property is older, but has been well-maintained and updated. I wasn't crazy about the mattress (too soft), but the room was dark and although we were close to the street, we didn't hear road noise at all. The grocery store nearby was handy, although more upscale than what we needed for basic snacks. There is covered parking, 1 spot per unit, but use caution if you have a larger vehicle. The spaces are narrow and there are support beams that are very inconveniently located. The other thing to note is that there is no one at the front desk past 10:00 at night, so when we had an issue with our neighbor's noises at 11:00, there was no one available to help with that. Would we stay here again? Yes, but we would recommend one of the single story units, not one with an upstairs neighbor.

Surprisiingly wonderful

This place was surprisingly wonderful. The buildings and grounds are immaculate. The pool was warm and large enough to swim laps in. I enjoyed the hot tub. Very walkable to the grocery store. The room was a good sized apartment, nicely decorated. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing. I'd love to stay here again.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Desert Isle of Palm Springs. We had a one bedroom unit which was very clean, spacious and quiet. The grounds are very well kept with some sweeping views of the mountains. The location of this resort is excellent, very close to downtown Palm Springs and many amenities. We will definitely stay here again.

Bathrooms greatly need updating as do bed linens/towels/pillows.

Enjoyed fresh picked grapefruit every morning. It was picked from trees on the property and available in the office.

Our condo was big and it had all the amenities. We even BBQ'd. Overall my family and i enjoyed our stay.

Calm

We felt like, “Where is everyone?” At night we noticed the parking lots were filled up, but it felt like the place was empty. It might be because our parking spot was right in front of our entrance. There were two pools, but the prettier one in the center of the resort was more shady, so we used the pool and hot tub right outside our door, which was really convenient. Nice to have a heated pool all to yourself! We also had easy access to the tennis courts and the bikes. The bikes were great, but the subpar tennis rackets and dead balls kept our tennis playing to a one time event.

Peaceful and the suites were very clean and well laid out.

Very nice and spacious condo. Convenient location close to everything

Nicely remodeled inside, easy check in/out, comfortable bed. Just had an issue with TV remote - had to stand close to the TV to change the channel.

The was very spacious and clean/ - had a king with living area, dining table, kitchen, balcony , fireplace, 2 bathrooms. It’s a little worn but very clean. Shower was great with sauna feature, bed was comfortable. Had parking spot. Was not downtown - 10 min drive but stores nearby. Great value

The room was spacious, everything was in working order and, although there is not a daily maid service, if you are in need of anything, you can leave a note at the door, and they will accommodate you.

The location is really great and the facility and grounds are well kept and spacious. The rooms are also spacious and clean. Our only complaint was no instructions on how to use the TV, even with 14 yr old present.

Nice Room. Closet door in bedroom had no wheels and wouldn't move. Shower pressure very low. Lighting weak in bedroom and living room. No elavators

Fantastic Place to Stay *****

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Completely outdid our expectations. Very well-maintained property and room. The room was perfectly clean, the bed was very comfortable. Our room (it was really more like a 1-bedroom apartment) had a fireplace and a steam room in the bathroom! Very unexpected and we took advantage of both. 😊 Also, the whole place was peaceful and quiet, which we appreciated. And beautiful views of the mountains. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in Palm Springs.

Home away from home

The condo hotel rooms were perfect for a sunny getaway. They contained a well equipped kitchen, a large living room and patio, a large bedroom, and two bathrooms. We felt very much at home. The location was excellent - three miles from the downtown strip, many excellent restaurants, the fantastic art museum, and the amazing Indian Canyon. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Very nice place , safe , clean . Just need new carpet , otherwise linens and towels are clean , due to weather being cold unable to use the pool, it’s ok we came here for golf and enjoy the cooler temperatures

Nice central location. Rooms and property is clean but the sofa bed and roll on bed definitely needs to be replaced.

Consistently friendly and helpful staff and plenty of swimming, powerful jacuzzis, exercise options and weight and exercise room. The black-out curtains really do cut the light which is important when one has that much sun around! Very relaxing and a restaurant right in front of the property which has great food and desserts!

An awful experience - due to COVID we never travelled to America and never stayed at the hotel. However the Desert Isle hotel have communicated to Hotels.com we checked in and completed our stay to avoid giving us our refund which we have been requesting since last year. Disgraceful, untrustworthy and immensely disappointing.

Romantic getawat

We love staying at Desert Isle and hope to return again soon. It's a comfortable, relaxed setting with everything you need. My only complaint is the couches are slippery and not very comfortable. Bring a lap robe to make them more comfy!

Great place to stay, very comfortable and the pool is clean and quiet. Fully enjoyed our stay and loved being across the street from a shopping center, but inside the community felt like paradise.

We enjoyed our stay. Landscaping was phenomenal as were the views and ambiance. It was really quiet and we had a fabulous time at the pool and playing tennis. Friendly and accommodating staff. We had a leaky sink in the half bath and a master toilet that needed updating. A few stains here and there. The pictures in the Expedia listing show updated rooms, but the room we had definitely wasn’t as nice, particularly the bathrooms. Staff did a really good job at COVID precautions. Place had good value.

Another amazing trip to Palm Springs!

Our stay was Fantastic! The resort is beautiful and clean. Loved having the comfortable space for the 4 of us. Room was clean and tastefully decorated. Erin was amazing and well as the friendly gentleman that checked us in! The pool was just warm enough to be comfortable. Beautiful setting, love all the flowers and palms. Will stay here again!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Spacious accommodation, quiet, close to restaurants. It’s a little bit of a drive from PGA West (30 min) if you’re staying to play golf but easy.

My husband and I stayed here as our first trip away from home since Covid started. We were very happy with the precautions taken in the lobby while checking in and throughout the property. Our condo style one bedroom apartment was laid out very nicely to make us feel like we were staying in a home, not a hotel room. The kitchen was furnished with all the basic essentials. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Palm springs escape..

More than expected! Fabulous interiors and exteriors. Restaurant next door was just steps away and an endless menu. You'll want to stay longer than three nights...

This place could of used some upgrades but it was fine because it was super clean. I am a clean frik but it met my standards. Staff if efficient and friendly. Rooms are bigger and one of the best hotels actually villas . Definitely have to come with family. Nice and clean kitchen too. Exceeded my expectation since Covid.
