If you like being treated like royalty, this is it. Every staff member here are well trained and equipped to help you have a great experience. They have all aspects covered from valley to check in, many food cuisine options, fun activities for children and adults and a seamless check out process with more than 1 persons helping you. We never waited in lines, staff were available and prompt at taking care of your needs. The property itself is stunning with many varieties of trees and lush green grass lawns for you to enjoy, they are meticulous about keeping the property aesthetically pleasing and people friendly. Rooms are very spacious and amenities were more than enough for families to enjoying a relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai
Hospitable and Kind Staff
The property is not very accessible for senior citizens, the bath tub in particular. Also many of the steps don't have a railing. The 24/7 In Room Dining is a major plus.
Della is a little different from other Resorts seen. Lots of Adventure activities to do. Also some virtual ones like bowling. Small small things like Darts are also thrown in which is nostalgic. The complex itself is extremely well laid out and beautiful. Before going, I had checked the internet and found that there were negative comments about two major things. One was the quality of service and the second was the price of food. Based on my experience, I can say that the quality of service was excellent. There wasn’t one occasion when the response was not outstanding. On the price of food, yes it is a little bit expensive, but there are options available in the Sports arena which are relatively affordable. Some options on the Parsi Dhaba (1500 for two people) as well as the PNF (1800-2000) for two people are available. On a trip like this it is the overall experience that is extremely important. The experience was simply outstanding.
I never write bad reviews however I feel like I need to warn others- this place was so bad that we didn't stay our second night even though we didn't get a refund, and we had to get a driver to take us somewhere else and pay for another hotel. It was not clean, the service was terrible, and there were signs in one of the public bathrooms on the property with signs containing sexual innuendos and one about masturbation. I was so disturbed for my kids to see that and I just wanted to get out of there right away so we left. When we got home to the US, I noticed a charge on my credit card that I didn't understand. I messaged the resort and they refused to tell me what the charge was about, telling me over and over to call the manager. I told them that it would be an expensive call from the US and asked them to please just let me know what the charge was about. They ignored me. Finally I asked them for their manager's email address. They gave it to me and I wrote an email to the manager. No response at all! I called Expedia and they could not get any help either from the resort, so they gave me a small credit to use for future trips and I have had to call my bank to dispute the unknown resort charge. Such terrible service, really unbelievable. I have never encountered something so awful in any of my travels.
Excellent Parsi food. Very spacious property.
Poor service with unmotivated employees, lackluster food and remote location with narrow roads leading to the property. This is a 3 star hotel when it comes to hospitality
It’s an amazing property and perfect for a short stay for a young family
Probably one of the best resort in India that we have been to. We met people from Mumbai, Delhi, Rajasthan and other places with similar views. Ideal place for youngsters for thrill and excitement at the Adventure Park with so many facilities.
The room itself was satisfactory. On one of the days of our stay we had an issue with the bathroom having muddy water. It took a while for the problem to be fixed. The overall service at the resort was unsatisfactory. They had a few private events taking place during our stay which could be the reason for the poor service. Everything from checking in to getting our room ready for us and responding to requests we had was extremely slow and took multiple calls from our end. The restaurants are nice but can sometimes be overcrowded. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table at one of the restaurants on a Monday night. The adventure park was great. It’s located on the property and was only a 3-minute walk from our room. The marshals at the adventure park were amazing. Everything was well organized and they always put safety first. Overall, our stay at Della Resort was satisfactory but service could have been much better!
Great place to unwind, bit on the pricier side though; more than what it deserves… I was planning to Uber back to Mumbai but the local cartels would not allow Ubers to come in…and the hotel was not keen to resolve. The return fare is dictated by these local transport providers, so don’t bank on Uber
Camps are nice
The property is huge with beautiful lawns, pools and seating areas. There are many activities and a spa. Cafe 24 serves good food and the cocktails at the lounge were delicious. the italian bistro food was not good. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was polite and attentive to guest needs.
Location was great but the place was not kept clean. Too much waiting time for check-in and check-out.
Awesome property
Great stay over the weekend
Overall it was a very nice experience. The hospitality, courtesy of the staff is commendable. The property is also well maintained. Personally for me the bed was too soft so sleeping on it was not that comfortable. No negative points for that as this is my personal liking.
A very enjoyable stay
A very comfortable stay. After staying a night in the Adventure Rooms we extended our stay and moved to the Luxury Rooms. A small price difference but a huge difference in the feel. The whole experience from the rooms to the house keeping to the service and the time taken for service were all a marked improvement.
A nice holiday but the Adventure Rooms are sub par
We had booked an Adventure Resort room and that was a mistake I believe. Anyone who wants a luxurious holiday should book the luxury category room. The resort rooms are far from the reception and need to be accessed using the resort vehicles (which are very conveniently and readily available) the rooms in this category are dated and the maintenance is below standard as is the housekeeping service. It is highly recommended to pay the small difference and choose the higher category room ( which we booked for the next day as we extended our stay)
not worth the money
Very average
It’s good
Very nice
Everything seemed to take eternity
Right from checking to ordering food at the restaurants to getting valet to get your car to the reception seemed to take time. Without getting into details, the valet took more than 30 mins to get the car to the reception
Della is just too commercialised and busy. They have day trippers coming in and the noise and continuous activity is a head ache if you are looking to use it just as a resort. Also, they are constructing and dust and noise from the same is a constant.
Fabulous Resort. Luxury redefined.
Come, see and experience the world class Architecture, interior design, hospitality, Adventure. Long story in short. "Della Resort". It's a world in itself.
Poor electrical design...
This stay was a total disappointment. We stayed there for two nights sleepless nights. There used to be frequent power outage and then after a gap of few minutes the power used to be restored, the TV switched ON and Air Conditioning did not switch ON. We used to switch off the TV again using the remote since there was no mains switch and get out of bed to restart the AC from the controller mounted on the wall.... This we kept on doing on both nights.. The management should be made to suffer this for one night to understand.
Please have a doctor or medical assistant. I got injured with the cricket ball but help was only a spray from one of the marshals. Medical help is important!!

Wonderful destination for weekend
RIP Della
We booked Della once again in August 2014 following an awesome experience during our initial stay in February 2014. However, this time we upgraded from Camp Della to Luxury room. This was our "GRAVE MISTAKE". Jimmy Mistry gave us all the luxury he promised but compromised on his staff. One major issue was a lack of communication. The entry to the resort was grand but we got the first shock the moment we entered our room. Even though it was requested at the time of booking, the luxury room had two single beds instead of a double bed. The front desk said they would get it sorted soon. On the other hand, when we spoke to someone from the housekeeping staff after a few hours, we were told that it could have been done immediately if the front desk had asked them to. This is just one example of miscommunication. There was a group which had put up in the next room to ours was at the sit-out making noise at 3 am. We had to request the front desk twice and yet it took them over an hour to resolve this. Such negligence is quite inexcusable. Moreover, one expects at least the electricity to be up all the time, especially from a property like Della. There were 3 power cuts in 12 hours. Overall, we were crestfallen and regretting our decision to stay here again. Not worth the price we paid!
its a great Resort
It's great resort for family holiday and weekends
good hotel
We had a hood experience. The hotel may be understaffed for checkin and checkout. Also the restaurant could not handle the breakfast croud where we had to wait to get the table. The camp room was very good.
Luxurious hotel still under construction
My family and I enjoyed beautiful surrounding and plush interiors of this resort. There was excellent customer service from all members of staff. I would not recommend this place for families as there were many corporate events taking place throughout our stay and our needs were sometimes neglected by management. For example there was no where to eat at the resort one night as the only restaurant was under repair and I had to order expensive room service. Our room was furnished to highest standard and all our housekeeping needs were very well attended. This hotel is good for someone with their own transport to go and enjoy breathtaking surroundings and delicious cuisine of Lonavala. The spa at the hotel offers excellent pampering treatment which I highly recommend.
ROAMNTIC PLACE
WONDERFUL
disappointment
As per the booking on 6th of july at Della it was very disappointing to note that the hotel staff was not proactive towards the services it defines under the itenary. There were huge problems with the room the jacuzzi related to power shut down, that RUINED our experience. even after several complaints there was a temporary solution offered & the problem still persisted. We made a complaint to the hotel management (reception) but they didnt take any innasive measures. We were very disappointed with the attitude & furthermore may think of putting a complaint with the government of Indian tourism dept. & avoid making bookings via hotel.com and also at Della. Kindly do the needful.
its fun
it was a fun
Fantabulous weekend Get Away!!!
Overall very good, worth a visit
Overall, the hotel was very good - although a little expensive. We wanted a brief break to relax and unwind and stayed in a Camp room. The room was very well appointed with high quality fixture/fittings and had a fantastic, unobstructed view over the valley. Generally service was also very good in the restaurants and spa. My only gripe was that the service to our Camp room was incredibly slow. These rooms are quite far from the main hotel area (you need to get a complimentary car to take you up the hill) and while there is no issue getting to and from them, having items delivered took a long time - e.g. it took several phone calls and about two+ hours to have a DVD sent up to our room. However, overall, would recommend the resort for a weekend break from Mumbai/Pune.
Nice resort
It was close to perfection. The staff was excellent and services were good too
Really Good Activities but poor Hotel Experience
Great set of Activities & fantastic location. The staff manning Della Adventure Activities are really good at their job & friendly.Congratulations to this part of Della. The Hotel part is a let down specially the house keeping. They do not replenish room / Bathroom stock and you will need to keep chasing them. Room cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Upkeep & maintenance of the originally super room furnishings is dismal. However the biggest let down in the room is the Air Quality..the Air Con throws out foul air in intervals. Restaurants on premise are decent but you might find some of the staff insisting that you pay in cash instead of signing off against the room..happened with us in Cafe 24, discovered later that we were over charged in cash!! Also, despite an email from Expedia stating that reservation is confirmed with the Hotel, upon reaching there Della could not find the reservation in their system. This took a while before they allocated the room (one for Expedia to look into!). All in all the great set of Adventure Activities at Della does make up for the below par stay to some extent.
Exclusive hotel for adventure sports freaks
great fantastic enjoyable stay ' A must visit for all The thing which differentiates Della from others is its unique location, adventure sports ' fantastic rooms good restaurants / amiable staff etc.
Great location
One of the best Resorts at Lonavala
Heard a lot about Della. Thought of giving it a try. The property is located quite inside. They provide 3 types of accommodations. I chose to stay at the Camp villa. These are very well made and located on the hill. The resorts provides their vehicles to take you at the top of the hill where the Camp villas are located. The only problem that we faced was that after getting down from the vehicle, in order to get to our camp villa, we had to get down 172 steps and climb back if we want to go anywhere. This was a bit tiring as during the relaxation trip we don't expect to strain ourselves. Rest all was fantastic.
Excellent Property & Superb rooms
Quality of services and the comfort in the property was amazing. Location is very nice and the property is very well brought up.

AC was not working in our room. Room Mini refrigerator was not working. Vegas show is very cheap, it’s local Artist & there is nothing to spend ₹2500/- I am not satisfied.
