Great value, rough around the edges but fantastic breakfast included.
I booked this for my daughter. She felt safe, comfortable and cared for in a quiet area.
I had a great experience at All Hallows College. Perfect for the solo traveler. Would stay here again!
Was pleasant
A wonderful stay in Dublin
Totally wonderful experience. We loved the place - everything about it. The campus is beautiful. The rooms are really nice - extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. Make sure to check out the chapel and the gardens. Quiet and peaceful - easy bus or Uber to the airport. Highly recommend.
Beautiful grounds
Amazing
The room was very small. Every thing else was fine.
Lovely spot a short stroll to the bus. It's quaint would be a good way of describing it. Staff were very helpful.
Everything was good but the rooms are very small.
Nice!
Nice treat to be at DCU All Hallows Campus. The food was great. Being near a bus stop made travel to my meeting and to city center easy.
Great value
Terrific value for money. Convenient, clean and comfortable.
This is a beautiful building to stay in. The staff were polite, friendly and very extremely helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We are recommending to friends.
Rural tranquility
Really nice environment and ambience. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable bed, and great value for money.. Highly recommended!
Excellent place in a prime location
Staff were extremely efficient and helpful and quickly resolved a hot water issue. Really clean room with all the essentials in a historic building with a lovely surrounding landscape. Breakfast was better than expected, everything you would hope for. Will definitely come again.
Really enjoyed our stay - good, well equipped room, with good transport links into the city centre
Comfortable and clean facilities; great location and public transportation options; incredibly helpful/ friendly staff!
I enjoyed my 3 day stay in DCU All Hallows. However I wasn't able to avail of breakfast as it is not served until 8 am. I had to leave before 7 each morning. I would prefer to have a discount on the nightly rate than breakfast vouchers which I can't use. I consider 8 am quite late in the morning for working people. Beautiful buildings and well kept lawns all around.
Thankful for a place to feel safe traveling back and forth through the City Centre with plenty of dining options, grocery, and transportation stops.
It was lovely; I particularly liked the trees. Interesting architecture, also. Would like more information as to when one can stay there, and if there are en-suite rooms. Some concise history, and information on the person portrayed in the bust would be appreciated.
Basic but expensive
I know Dublin hotels are ridiculously expensive at the moment, but the price for what you get here is mad. It was the cheapest place we could find not too far from the airport but it was still €25 in a taxi. It is basic student accommodation, with the addition of a kettle. You have to pay a €10 deposit to borrow a hairdryer from reception. Place was clean but the shower curtain didn’t go around the whole shower so the whole bathroom floor got soaked
The grounds are beautiful and we were very happy with our stay.
Fine stay for what we needed. Staff was helpful and kind. The building is old so doors are loud when they shut and walls are very thin. Beds weren’t very comfortable.
Don't expect what you read on their website
The website said there was a bar/lounge /restaurant and a TV in the room NONE of these were even an option let alone have a choice. This was just a room with ensuite facilities. OK for 1 night stays but not for 4 nights as I had booked expecting at least a television in the room. Cleanliness was ok but I had a dirty cup left on my table for all of my stay after having a coffee on day 1 and the bathroom toiletries were not replenished throughout my stay. There was a 'canteen' for breakfast which in fairness had a reasonable selection of both hot and cold food, however trying to find this the first day was almost impossible with little or no signposts/directions. Had to ask for an Iron multiple times before finally getting one within a minute or 2 so why that couldn't have happened first time I don't know.
I wanted to spend a few more days in Dublin but my first hotel (which was very nice) was just too expensive. I’m so happy that I found DCU at All Hallows. It was perfect for me. Breakfast was wonderful there also.
I enjoyed the stay, the breakfast was fantastic, it could not have been any better. The single room was clean but shower and WC were down the corridor and very basic bordering on unsuitable. The historic backdrop was amazing and it was very easy to get into town on the bus or bike, this made it easy to tolerate the shower and WC facilities. I was sad to leave, that has to say a lot for it. I would definitely stay again for the historic value, breakfast, price and ease of getting into Dublin.
Basic but comfortable
Very clean. Basic, but comfortable.
Key card didn’t work so had no toilet or shower for a night. Didn’t know was sharing a bathroom. Lots of screaming and anti social behavior
Great location and parking is a real bonus
Fine, but the lack of info without parking permits meant my security placed a sticker on my car without anyone contacting me. Also lack of hairdryer in room was unexpected inconvenience.
Great all around. The college is fascinating to look around. If I had any critique, it would be that they tapered down the breakfast offerings within an half hour before end of breakfast.
Good accommodation
Nice accommodation Thin walls so a bit noisy but very convenient for my needs
Beautiful grounds, splendid building but tiny room
The grounds and buildings that greet you at DCU All Hallows’ are impressive. It’s like stepping back in time. Service at reception was friendly and the breakfast both plentiful and tasty. We booked a double room with shared bathroom - the room was tiny and the bed barely a double which made for a slightly cramped stay and not particularly good nights sleep. Next time I would definitely ask for a larger room.
The guy on reception was amazing and helpful. The room at first had a shared bathroom and you couldn’t swing a cat in it, so we asked to be moved and he did he was great. The second room was bigger and we had our own bathroom but there was paint coming off the skirting boards and we was directly opposite the door to that floor and could constantly hear the door slam and people talking outside our room. We did not have our room cleaned on the following day and as we got back late it was to late for them to do this
Lovely old seminary campus. It was dormitory style (single bedroom, shared bathroom), but incredible value for Dublin city centre.
Great loaction with loads of parking. Breakfast is great with loads of choice. Room size is good but there is quite a bit of noise with people banging doors in the corridior. We didnt get much sleep as people were coming back late and making noise. Doors need a slow close on them. Apart from that it was a good stay on beatiful grounds.
The stay of two halves!
It was a stay of two halves. The first room we stayed in we wouldn’t recommend. On arrival we were given keys to The O’Donnell building, which didn’t work, with timings I had to leave to pick up my sister so the keys were swapped but we’re not tried until we returned. When we returned, we were very disappointed by the rooms. They were not like the pictures in the booking information. They were basic, no en-suite, no towels, the toilet and showers were down the corridor, with lock entry. Plus there were several flights of stairs and my sister had a broken back. The room had the feel of a quasi carehome/cell. With poor fittings, or veneer finishings, eg new wardrobe doors on very dated fittings. It wasn’t a pleasant night. We were able to speak to the receptionist in the morning who after seeing the booking details, moved us to the main building drumcondra house which was exactly as the pictures on booking.com and had en-suite, towels etc. So the second half the of the stay was absolutely fine. We weren’t expecting 5* and were really happy with the rest of stay and it is great value for money. The campus is set in beautiful grounds, car parking is included and it’s an easy 5min walk to high street with a great Thai restaurant if you don’t want to head back into Dublin. The included breakfast is served in a beautiful garden atrium room. It has everything eg fry up, which are perfectly adequate but not the best quality ingredients. It’s great value when your in the right room!
Very comfortable accommodations with a generous breakfast, close to the airport and bus line. Perfect for a short layover or a longer stay in Dublin.
Not the greatest
After booking and reviewing online and expecting a room with on suite only to find the room was small with only a small sink. No facilities for tea or coffee making. The room was clean and tidy the bed was small and uncomfortable.
This place is so clean and the staff are so friendly, it’s nice warm and dry, it was all worth more than the price to stay
Good value, room was functional and clean. The building and grounds are lovely. Breakfast was super.
Perfect budget accommodation
Perfect budget accommodation in old world eclesiastical setting
Nice place
Helpful staff, great breakfast. The room was nice and clean. My only issue was a mysterious buzzing noise that became apparent when I tried to sleep. I couldn't track down the source, but thankfully i was tired so I slept anyway.
Unique
Unique I enjoyed the beautiful old buildings
Very good value for money will come to stay again. Very economical
Staff very helpful. Only 20min Walk from Croke park. Breakfast was great. Fabulous building
Nice place to stay away from the hustle-bustle
The building was interesting, the room was ckean and the breakfast was excellent. But the lift was broken, and it was difficult hauling our cases to our 3rd floor room, and then climbing those 77 steps several times a day. When it had been repaired, no one told us, so we never did get to use it. The key system, cards in electric slots, was defective. We had to replace our cards a few times, and other people did too. We had to leave the (shared) bathroom door ajar so we could get into it in the middle of the night. The people on the desk were always friendly, and apologetic for these deficiencies, but they couldn't do anything about it.
So peaceful, quiet and will stay here again whilst visiting Dublin
Great value at All Hallows.
Excellent value for perfect cleanliness and comfort, and so convenient for Dublin Airport. Beaiutful grounds and a peaceful atmosphere. Good and free car parking.
Lift not operating and rooms on 3rd floor. Had to carry luggage up three flights. No bath in room. Walls very thin, can here people coming and going slamming doors.
Nice property. Convenient and cheap. The gardens are beatiful.
A great place to stay in Dublin.
The accommodation was excellent. The location was great, given that we had a short bus ride into the CBD. The food was outstanding and the staff were very helpful. It was a quiet, relaxing and historical venue to stay for three days!!
DCU Rooms Dublin
Nice place in tranquil surroundings, great to relax and have peace and quite
THE STAY. BY PAUDIE OREILLY.
THE STAY IN THE DCU ROOMS IS A AWAKENING OF ANOTHER.
Nice, comfortable stay
Lovely staff, lovely grounds and a comfortable room. Nice hot breakfast. All I needed for a short stay.
Rooms 1/2 hour from city center; spartan but clean accomodation; staff friendly and helpful; had to use stairs to go down 3 flights with suitcases because door locks in corridors broken; shared bathroom inconvenient especially as some guests don't clean up after themselves
Convenient bolthole!
The rooms were small (single) but had a very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. Very good for a short stay and really convenient for the centre of Dublin. Breakfast was adequate, not really keen on the cooked offering! All In all I can’t understand why more people don’t use this accomodation as it is really good value for money.
Value for Money
Perfectly adequate accommodate for this reasonable price. Location was excellent!
Extremly good value for the price of it. Great breakfast inlcuded also.! Very impressed and would definitley stay here again!😊
All Hallows’ College - Dublin
Beautiful location, room was clean and tidy and as expected. This is normally studen halls after all. Staff on reception were friendly and very helpful. Would stay here again when available. Easily located.
For student accommodation, the single room though small was surprisingly comfortable especially the bed . Ensuite facilities a bonus.
Lovely stay at All Hallows
I thoroughly enjoyed my week's stay at All Hallows. Peaceful and quiet and so very clean. The staff were friendly and helped me to figure out the public transit which was very convenient to the location. Breakfast was generous and delicious. A true gem just outside the hustle and bustle of the city center.
Great Find!
Great place to stay, our only regret was that we only planned to be there one night! Folks manning the reception were very helpful and pleasant pointing us to a great place to eat. We missed a sign pointing us to reception at first and wandered around for a while until we figured it out. (Special thanks to the young French tourist who helped us.) No TV in the room but we didn't miss it. Beautiful grounds to walk around and easy walk to shops/food. Taxi to airport was 20 Euro or so.
"Convenient, safe and clean"
Every thing was just fine, very close to the Dublin City Center and to the Airport and ease access to the public transportation.
Ideal accommodation
This was a lovely place to stay. The staff were very helpful and the building and grounds were beautiful. Excellent breakfast in the morning.
Good stay between airport and city
We booked the place mostly because of the location. Taxi costs around 18 £ from the airport to the hotel. Day after we took the bus to the city center. (5-10 min walk to the station) Rooms are basic - so is the bed. But all we clean. Breakfast was great. Overall a good value for the price.
Good accommodation but could do better inside
Huge bathroom, good free parking. Rather small double bed but adequate for 1 night. Beautiful location and building. Not all reception staff seemed very welcoming. Long way out of central Dublin. Used train inwards but had to get taxi back as later trains only ran hourly. Lots of buses available but you'd need to know where they arrived in Dublin. Quite a long walk to get to buses and station. Good free breakfast and lunch included canteen style with vouchers. Pleasant welcoming canteen staff.
The college is attractive and its location just north of the city worked really well for us. It was easy to find with lots of parking. Breakfast in the main restuarant was in another building to the rooms but was a very pleasnat setting.
Short stay in Dublin to visit family.
When we booked, only one double room was available with a shared bathroom. We then paid extra for an ensuite room. The room was very small with no TV or telephone and frosted windows with no outlook. In the bathroom, the whb tap was not fitted properly to the sink and every time the wc was flushed, there were loud noises for several minutes from air locks in the plumbing system. Most upsetting in the middle of the night. Breakfasts in the dining room were identical every day with tea and coffee served in disposable paper cups. Overall, we found facilities to be very poor for the rates charged and we made a detailed complaint at reception on checking out.
Lovely place. Excellent value.
Very convenient location for airport & city centre, close to public transport links. It took about half an hour from the airport during Friday rush hour. Bus into city centre from here only takes about 20 minutes. Magnificent buildings in beautiful & tranquil surroundings. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Was there with my (adult) son, so had requested a twin room, which they had confirmed by email. When we got there, we had been allocated a double. It was sorted quickly, easily & without fuss, & we ended up with a room each. My son is a student & said if his university had accommodation like this, he would have stayed in halls rather than move into a flat! There were a lot of taxis coming & going during the night. My room was above the reception, so car doors closing kept me awake much of first night. I mentioned this to receptionist the following morning, & they arranged a room move for the next night. So if you're a light sleeper, may be worth requesting a room not overlooking the entrance. Breakfast choice was reasonably good. More than adequate to set us up for the day! The cost was quite a bit cheaper than city centre hotels or B&Bs, so in all I'd say it was very good value. I would definitely stay there again.
Absolutely beautiful place.
The location was good- Bus stop into the city 5 min walk. Very peaceful and quiet.
Basic room
Basic room with a smaller than double bed. I didn't realise I'd booked a shared bathroom - so check carefully when booking. We were in town for the U2 concert and probably paid over the odds because of this. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast was basic also but coffee was poor quality. We just needed a room for the night, I won't be rushing back
Great location to airport and friendly staff
The staff is so wonderfully friendly, top notch. The campus is beautiful, and since it is a bit away from the downtown area, it is also quiet. The location made it easy to get to the airport. The breakfast was very good. The only downside was the cleanliness of our room; it was quite dusty and I discovered the second day that a towel we had put on the ground to be laundered was actually folded and put back on the towel wrack. Those two things made me question the cleanliness of the whole room, though admittedly not enough to complain to them about it.

Great facility for the price.
