I will recommend this place .
Heating and cooling unit was so loud I thought it was taking flight
Excelente
Definitely will be better if theres is actually a dining room for comp breakfast.
no elevator and stairs were steep.Office small and no were to sit to have your breakfast to go.Had to take it to your room
Muy lindo el lugar y seguro, los trabajadores muy amigables
Terrible pillows and very poor internet service.
It was a overall good trip and a nice stay at the hotel
Clean, recently remodeled, extremely affordable (for San Francisco), plus free parking (in SF!!!). Convenient location for an appointment at the Italian Consulate. Friendly staff! Nothing fancy, but perfect for our needs.
Nice cheap hotel
The room was very small. The Queen Bed also was very small, even the kids had their body going out of bed. We had breakfast included and we were given only a coffee, banana and protein bar for breakfast. There was no staff present in the morning.
Nowhere to leave luggage after check out until it was time to depart for airport
Ok for the price and area around. They offer a breakfest, but it is very simple. It should be improved.
You get what you pay for. CONS: Hotel required a photocopy your credit card and state id during your stay for a deposit. Breakfast consists of coffee, juice, bananas, and Kind granola bars. This is a cheap, basic hotel, is a bit run down, and in need of a paint job (walls had chipped paint) but is generally clean. PROS: Room has microwave and mini fridge. Parking is free. Hotel is conveniently located to SF attractions - Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Warf, and China Town - all are about a 15 minute drive. There are plenty of restaurants choices within waking distance.
Good location with easy connections. The room could have had a functioning TV.
small
the room was (to me) a bit small The stopper for the bath tub is broken could not take a bath
Regular
Muy chico de lo esperado, ruido en madrugada y el desayuno súper limitado.
Great value
Clean, updated room. Nice grab and go bfast and coffee
Good
Great location with parking, clean room, slightly uncomfortable pillows but worth a stay!
It was close to sight seeing areas.
The hotel is located in a prime location, walkable to many restaurants and shops on Chestnut St and Union St. The room was clean and functional. The shower pressure was low.
Close to where we wanted to be
Very nice staff. Hotel is close to all our favorite restaurants. Very close to the Marina
Need improve it
Check in was quick and easy, room was in very good condition and clean.
The room was very small to whete you would almost hit either the bed or dresser when you walked in the door. Very little space to move around. The clerk at the desk stayed on the phone the whole time during check in and told me it would be cheaper to book online.
Good location for us while visiting San Francisco! Short drive to the wharf but we walked, about 35 min. Lots of shopping and restaurants the street over on Chestnut. Parking was included and great. Room was pretty standard but no complaints, AC was nice! Found the area relatively quiet at night and felt like a fairly safe area.
Max did a great job checking us in very kind and pleasant. Allowed us into our room a bit earlier. Good microwave and mini fridge and coffee maker. Great location will definitely stay here again
The desk clerk that greeted us was super friendly. He ensured we were familiar with the hotel, the breakfast offered. and other amenities in the neighborhood during check in. Our room was clean. The bed was super comfortable, and bedding was all cotton. It was nice to have the continental breakfast in the morning before going out exploring. I’ll definitely be returning my next trip to San Francisco.
Ok
Dur le site indiquer avec déjeuner Fausse représentation, Une barre tendre et un café n’est pas un déjeuner Une seule chaise dans la chambre Aucun espace pour s’assoir à l’extérieur Aucune recommandation à faire pour cet hotel
Itnwas in a nice area, quiet, rooms were clean.
The tv remote did not work, the ice machine was out of order, the free continental breakfast they provided was only banana's, granola bars, watered down orange juice and really bad tasting coffee!
This location is very tight. There is no extra space. It is a good value for the price. If you want a cheep, basic, clean hotel in a good location, this is a good option.
You get what you pay for.
Not much parking and it’s SF so you have to pay for street parking if lot full. Uncomfortable beds and noisy all around. Not much sound proof in rooms so you can hear others conversations.
Friendly staff, very helpful.
Room was smaller than I anticipated for a 2 queen bed room, but overall it was a nice stay for 2 nights.
Good
Good location. About 10min walking distance to the Marina and lots of restaurants around (probably at least 20 different options within 5 min walk). Don’t get fooled by the “breakfast included”. The only thing offered for breakfast is coffee, orange juice, Kind bars and bananas. But other than that, we stayed 5 days from Thursday to Tuesday and it was extremely quiet. We were quite surprised as it is on a very busy street. Great staff!
There’s is free covered parking which is great. Room is fine for what you’re paying but the shower pressure was awful. Could hardly shower. Didn’t even bother washing my hair. No plug for the tub so no bath either. When I let the front desk person know I’m not sure she understood entirely what I was saying but thanked me for letting her know. She didn’t offer to discount the room at all so I was disappointed in the customer service a bit
This is a great place to stay if you want to explore the city by foot. Just a turn down Scott street and you'll be in the marina district, just a walk away from the golden gate.
窗、门隔光非常不好,卫生间房顶从楼上漏水。
Close to public transportation and good restaurants.
Average and budget friendly. There was a leak in shower above our room so water damage in walls. Other than that, very basic but did the job.
Very clean, nice beds and bedding, plenty of towels, nice fridge and coffee maker.
Great location and friendly welcoming staff:)
Positive: parking good, location is quiet, good location. Negative: roach found in coffee maker, not enough options for breakfast, vending machine price expensive
I was expecting more.
There is no breakfast only juice, coffee and granola bar in the very small reception entrance. Parking is available. Location is good if you have a car. Room was cleaned daily and everyone was polite
Easy Parking
I really enjoyed my stay, but the only thing that bothered me was that the people in the room next to us were fairly loud. Could have been more quiet.
The property was as viewed in the pictures (aside from the lobby which was different & small). Our room was just like the pictures. Everything seemed well taken care of. Parking was nice being tucked into the hotel like it is. A bit of a walk to the warf but lots to explore in the area. We didn’t bother with the breakfast as it was just muffins and juice, not much of a breakfast but there are good bagel and breakfast places close by. Good hotel for the price and convenience of a one night stay passing through. Definitely would stay here again next time we stop in San Fran.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Will consider staying here again in the future.
When we first walked in we noticed the plaster pieces and dust on head boards of beds. The dresser looked like it was brought in from the street. It was dirty and missing a handle and they placed towels and extra blankets in the other, so that was useless . The dresser was placed under the clothes hanging area, there was no closet, so you could not use that to hang things. I woke up with a slight rash on chest and face, and the bed was so hard my hips hurt for 2 days. I took a shower to have my friend take one after and found 2 dirty bandages on top shelf, I’m short so I didn’t catch that, I was absolutely disgusted. Than we saw the cleaning lady clean the coffee maker from the spicket from outside. Needless to say we only spent one night and found a better place.
There was a light right outside my room that brightened my room all night. Could not sleep at all!!!
Staff was nice.
They lied on advertising that they do breakfast. This hotel looks like 100 years old. Very small room. I am sure you will not have any help from customer service lady. There is a another hotel just 2 minutes on the same road, cannot remember the name but something looks like 'cow' type. It is cheaper, customer service is awesome, big room. So if you want to waste your money you are welcome to come this hotel. This is a honest review based on my experience. Thank you
Place was ok but the beds. OMG! Sucked . Super hard
The property/rooms are old but clean. The area is a bit sketchy but there were restaurants close by. Phat Thai was next door and very good! Walgreens was just a couple blocks and that was nice to be able to grab things we needed. If you are expecting a decent breakfast— don’t get your hopes up. They had coffee and juice and granola bars in the office which has room for 2-3 people to stand and grab something. For a tasty breakfast you’ll need to go to Walgreens for a better selection. It was a good place to stay for 1-2 nights if you just need somewhere to sleep. My mom needed to be on the main level— no stairs— and they were wonderful to change our rooms.
Tough neighborhood. I think the property does the best it can under the circumstances
Close to everything
staff was super duper! try to get a room farther away from Lombard st. as it can be noisy.
It was a great stay and close to everything downtown SF.
LOCATION
happy
This was our 2nd 8 day stay here at days inn on lombard in San Francisco. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and include microwave and mini-fride. The area is well lighted at night and the breakfast includes kind bars, fruit, coffee, orange and apple juice. 5 stars.
Very fortunate to receive room 104 on the first floor. My bladder was calmed when the Hotel manager replied "go" I will take care of the papers at this end. Thank You, extremely professional
Excellent San Francisco stay
Perfectly located, very clean but old! Would recommend strongly but the “breakfast” is not breakfast at all. It is coffee, juice, bananas and granola health bars. Would definitely book and go back for the rest though :-))
Very basic.
Disappointing
Four of us were on a 9-day road-trip in California. This was one of our most disappointing stays. We expected street noise (right on Lombard) but it was much worse than expected. So-called “breakfast” isn’t really so—we ended up walking down the street to Mel’s Diner. One of our rooms had replaced the toilet. It stuck out into the doorway. See the photo. But what really shocked me was that when we returned from breakfast, well before checkout time—with all our personal items still in the room—maids had already entered the rooms to change beds etc!
Stay somewhere else
The hotel itself has many issues. The hotel is only open 8-10. What hotel advertises breakfast but then doesn’t start it till 8. Our room was terrible. There’s zero water pressure, the bathroom door didn’t shut, there was mold and mildew in the shower/sink, the light outside was so bright it lights up the room at night, there’s no curtains only shutters, etc. The location itself is good. It’s a nice area close to the bay and lots of trendy restaurants.
This place was in a rundown condition. Room was filthy, unwashed, unswept floors. All door jams rotted and smelled of mould. Toilet only flushed after 4-5 attempts. Sink water took hours to drain. Furniture in badly used condition. Dust on every surface. Sheets and towels stained. Paint chipped and peeling. TV didn’t work. Lobby reeks of curry and staff are untrained and rude. AC/ Heater non working. Numerous bugs and insects in room. Parking abysmal. Room is NOT BY ANY MEANS ACCESSIBLE FOR HANDICAPPED. Manager/Owner rude and disrespectful. Looks like the hotel was occupied by the homeless during the Pandemic and has not been cleaned since. Cigarette burns on bed lined which was not changed between residents. Trash and debris left from pervious residents. Under the bed was used condoms and beer bottle caps. Being a non refundable payment, could not be refunded. Not one thing could be said about this premises. Rats in the parking lot. Just a complete horror.
The staff was very friendly and helpful
really light breakfast... just banana and oats bar, wouldn't call it a breakfast more like snack. Very convenient in terms of parking, 50 min walk to the pier 33.
I went to check out on September 20 morning. Door was locked with an instruction to ring the bell. I rang it many times, no response!!! I did not have access to breakfast area! Did not see staff around.
Staff was super friendly. Parking was well lit and rooms were clean.
Compy
Comfy, coffee in room the best for whole trip , handy for muni busses to get to Golden Gate Bridge , and other attraction . Good safe parking .
It was affordable compared to other hotels.
What i like was, they have their own parking space and accommodation of our car parked after checked out even though we paid extra for the parking . Bathroom smells bad.
Rooms need a deep clean!
Beds were comfortable and parking was good. The so called breakfast is just juice, coffee, granola bars and bananas. Rooms are in need of a deep clean. The dust was literally falling off in chunks from the door frames and lamps…
The breakfast was not very good and other then that it was great and quite and safe
It is on a busy street and our room was on the street so we could hear the vehicles roaring past (not all were roaring). The room was very clean but the bed was harder than I like. We used the heater and it was quiet so that was nice. We were going to Alcatraz and wanted to see if we could do a later check-out but the office was closed and only an answering machine picked up so we left a message. We had to get an Uber at 7:55 am and the office was closed. We didn’t get breakfast cuz it didn’t begin until 8 am but the area for breakfast is in the office area which only allows enough space for 2 or 3 people so I’m curious how other people managed. We were able to talk to the office staff just before getting into the Uber and we’re granted until noon for check out.
Property was in a good location for food options. The room was clean and we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed and pillows were. Overall good stay!
Everything was very clean and well kept. The breakfast was a Kind bar and banana but fine if you’re on the go. Could use better water pressure in the shower but that was our only “needs improvement” comment. Location was ideal for us.
The day we were supposed to check out, we were getting ready and packing our things and my sister was getting out of the shower and just had on a towel and the cleaning lady walked in without knocking!! AND it wasn’t even check out time yet!!!
Very well done
Great location and very clean rooms
Good, but no breakfast as advertised.
Our stay was okay as we just used it as a place to sleep. The breakfast consisted of a banana and a granola bar ( that was the extent of their offering). NO COFFEE. A continental breakfast consists of a little more than what we received.
Great property to stay at for a night or two. The room was clean and everything we needed was available. These is only coffee & juice, fruit, Kind-Bars available for breakfast.
Location Good, way Overpriced, No breakfast, No full size mirror, Staff service was rude.
this was just ok. not worth the price; location is good, you can take the #28 bus infront of the hotel to goto the bridge or Peir 39. Parking is a Plus, but there is no breakfast, which was not good. rooms are ok; its refurbished, carpets removed, but still not as clean as you would expect.
Me and my family had stayed here multiple times. This is a great place to stay!
Breakfast
While they do offer a very very limited breakfast, it doesn’t start till 8 so if you are needing to be up and out early you will be SOL.
Clean and in an ideal location between most of the attractions within San Francisco. For the money it was as expected. Only downside was the room was at the front of the property with the main road pretty loud at night/early morning (but that is just luck of the draw). TV did not work.
Basic but clean... would have been nice if you didn't have to pay for leaving your luggage stored until pick up time

There was pillow and sheet odor. The air has to be good.
