Fantastic location in the middle of the blue city. Our room was large and well appointed. Comfortable bed and great terrace looking out towards the Spanish mosque.
Het was er heel aangenaam verblijven
Only if you like to feed mosquitoes
Room was to small, especially the bathroom, no room to swing a cat! The shower fitting sprayed water over the curtain making the floor slippery. Simple but adequate breakfast. Down point, had to pay for extra cup of coffee!
This place is excellent. Great people. In a really good location, close to the beach, the port, and not far from alot of the cool lil tight shopping areas if you wanna do that. Just up the street from the main waterfront road, so you can catch a bus or taxi anywhere. About half an hour walk to the tanger ville train station. Breakfast is included and they provide laundry service. 2 minimarts across the street. Great place
Good for the price
It’s good choice for bed and breakfast.. It’s Motel rather than hotel .. The sea side is just 5 mins walk. MoYou will get nice walk in the
Holiday Dream
Amazing experience
Great location, right by the main drag, the boardwalk, and the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Tge room is very basic... don't expect much. no heat nor AC.
WELCOMING
Every staff member went WAY out of their way to help us, advise us and make us feel welcome!
The only good thing is location. The facility not maintained
Near beach, Mediterranean look, the only comments will give the rooms should have screen, so that mosquito won't roam around the room, lots of trees in the vicinity, nice 👍
Good stay
It was a good trip, that’s pity that the breakfast is
The towels weren't clean and there was no hot water. We requested to switch rooms and they wouldn't accommodate us even though we had only used the toilet. (Hadn't touched anything else in the room) The noise was a problem late into the night you could hear doors slamming and people talking. It is what it is. I'm glad it wasn't super expensive but I also wish it had been a little nicer.
Hotel location is excellent, near to major touristic sites and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We recommend this location. Breakfast could be much better, just one small cup of coffee per person and just bread.Room has not air conditioner, if you go on summer, make sure your room has air conditioner.Room was out of date and some items were broken. Even though there were other rooms much better, make sure you choose one of those, pay more, but worth it.
Not clean hotel
They need to hire, people to clean the place, and use white sheets , so people can see if they are clean, and change towels
Please take this review seriously.
The staff was very friendly and gracious but the service was very poor. When we needed replacement towels we had to wait for our dirty towels to get cleaned— it’s seemed they didn’t have enough cleaned ones on reserve. Even with 3 different WiFi spots, the WiFi was very spotty and would drop calls. The bathroom was very small and very basic and gave off a foul odor that wouldn’t go away for the entire 7 days that we were there. We had to leave the little window open to somewhat air out the place. The shower was clogged when we arrived prompting us to ask to have it unclogged (we presumed it was hair). The parking was a challenge. If you arrived anytime after 9 or 10, the chances of you finding a spot is very slim. They advertise that parking is available- and it is- but only if you work out a side deal with the parking attendants. I spent about 60$ for the week that I was there ensuring I had a spot saved for me. This hotel has A LOT of potential and could be one of the premier places to stay if they just worked out the many issues they have. The Moroccanesque look that the hotel is going for is attractive and a high point of the place. The staff is multilingual and very helpful— even with the limited hotel resources that they had. In my opinion OWNERSHIP needs to get their act together and invest a little money into this place. Again, if they did that, this place would be amazing. I hope they see and take what I had to say seriously.
Clean basic hotel on the edge of the city
One day stopover so the location was ideal. 20 min walk along the esplanade from the railway station and on the edge of the old city. An older building with basic comforts, reasonable value for money. Quiet street
Nice people, decent Continental breakfast, steep stairs at night, mattress was terrible, first night by credit card but only cash the second night, nearby good cafes.
The staff was friendly, the room was clean and Wi-Fi was stable in every area but the breakfast was typical of low cost hotels.
Do not stay here..
The location of this hotel is very good, walking distance to things. Staff is very helpful. However, there is no heat in the room. It was too cold. When taking shower, we started with hot water and finished it with cold water. We made the reservation for 3 people, we checked in 3 people, but they gave us only 2 towels which are 100 years old, color changed from white to grey. Not a comfortable place to stay. Not recommend it.
Long weekend stay
The hotel was basic. We had a twin room which was quite tired the bathroom was clean but the shower water went all over the floor under the curtain. The court yard area was lovely and the staff were great - really helpful. The internet was intermittent.
Great location!!! Nothing else
It's an ok hotel for one night to be close to the beach avenue.
Convenient and clean hotel
We had a pleasant stay. The staff at the hotel were quite friendly and helpful. They helped with organizing a tour for the day in Tangier and also a trip to Assila. Our guide was not only very informative but also quite funny. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Tangier.
Good location but nothing else
Just stayed overnight before morning bus to Chefchoen. Wifi didn't work anywhere except standing directly in front of front desk (not in room or on central patio). No hot water for showers which was a shame since we'd been traveling for 12 hours. Room and sheets smelled musty but there were blankets. Sign at front desk said breakfast at 7 but when we went to check out at 7:10 to grab some food and walk to our bus, the manager said it would take 30 min to make. Staff did wait for us to check in at 1:30 am without fees. So other than no wifi, no breakfast, and no hot showers, it was an adequate place to sleep.
In the Dar Omar Khayam nothing new: the rooms are always clean and the staff is always pleasant; the breakfast is a little bit sad but the jus is natural and the coffee is really good.
Noisy room facing street
Was noisy, our room was facing a very busy street, noisy all night, did not sleep.
Nice place, good price, helpfull sevice
the hotel is well situated and the personnel is helpful and provide quick answer and services the room was clean an rather big with a full equipped bathroom. The breakfast was correct and served in a nice patio open. Moreover the Wi-Fi works well I found 2 drawback a) Steps: Accessibility may be difficult since stairs have big steps and nothing is flat b) The room door was weak and wall thin so if your neighbor is making noise you hear it well :-(
Nice Hotel
The hotel was very nice, location was good, very nicely decorated, staff was helpful, room was comfortable, definitely recommend it!
Convenient and friendly hotel
Good onenight stop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Annoying mosquitos in our room. Nice breakfast.
A small simple but beautiful family-run hotel.
Equipment and comfort is very simple. But absolutely ok for the price. The staff, especially the hotel manager at the front desk is super. Very helpful with great tips for restaurants and sightseeing.
Nope, don't even think about it. Seriously.
While the people working there were very nice, it is by far the grossest hotel I've ever stayed in. Filthy doesn't even begin to described it. I got the only bug bites on my 4 week trip to Spain and Africa here, and a lot of bites, from god knows what. I'm sorry, I would never reccomend this hotel to anyone. The lads at the desk were very nice though and the hotel was very cheap. So, you get what you pay for. Really, really gross.
A home from Home
We are a couple in our early 60s and although nearly all the guests in this budget hotel were young, it was fun for us to be there. We had a ten day holiday in Tangier which is too long if you are wanting to do 'tourist stuff' every day but great if you are wanting a complete break. We found this hotel to have an excellent location, not in the centre but close enough, a very friendly and helpful staff and a very good budget hotel. We appreciated it and want to say thank-you. We would return.
Not a hotel at all.....
Damped room. Very dirty. Never seen a dirty hotel room like that. Staff was co-operative. Location is not ideal. Extremely uncomfortable. Not good for a family at all.
Great inexpensive stay for one night in Tangier
We had little trouble finding the place, once we could figure out the right street (few to no street signs, everyone we asked was confused when asked about a street name). It's the only little historic-looking building surrounded by modern monstrosities in a residential neighborhood of the modern city in Tangier. We walked there from the ferry and then walked from the hotel to the medina for some exploring. Felt safe in the area and the walks were not bad. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part, and we were able to slip breakfast in right at the start of its advertised time before we had to catch an 8 AM bus (we walked out to a main street and caught a taxi to the station, but it's only about a 15 minute walk away if you're not in too much of a hurry). The room was fine, though the bed is rather hard. Bathroom was fine, too. Overall, it's about what you paid for and perfectly adequate for a night's stay. Nothing marvelous, but not a dive either, and the historic aspect makes it fun and unique.
Nice hotel close to the Medina
Pleasant staff and very good placement (3 min from the Bus station, 10 min from the Central Station... and a lot of bars around).
Good
Nice hotel
Quiet place in the quiet district in 5 min. from the Road station.
excellent reception, staff very friendly and helpful, parking very easy and with security, perhaps check the shower: holder does not work properly.
It's okay for a few nights while visiting Tanger.
Personeel zeer vriendelijk, veel is bereikbaar op loopafstand. Mooie binnenterras.
