Great service.

Everything excellent except the gym lacks a significant amount of weights and dumbells

Pros: Clean and spacious rooms. Lots of restaurants nearby. Mall within walking distance. Spa Service: The facial and massage services were below average. If you're used to high-quality treatments, this spa might not be worth it. The facial was essentially a light massage with various products, and the body massage was similarly a very light touch. However, the spa attendants were kind and friendly, offering the only smiles from the entire hotel staff. Cons: The biggest downside was the lack of hospitality. The lobby staff were unwelcoming, rude, and unhelpful. They didn’t greet guests, barely spoke, and were consistently impolite, which was disappointing throughout my stay. Breakfast was disappointing. I didn’t feel like I was in Colombia. I truly feel like it’s the first time I’ve eaten something unsavory here, which is super rare. Conclusion: If you're willing to overlook the poor hospitality, the hotel itself offers decent accommodations. But if you value good service and friendly staff, this may not be the place for you.

I visited during the carnival, and the atmosphere was vibrant with decorations and plenty of people, yet it wasn't too crowded. The location was excellent, with two large shopping centers right across the street, and a McDonald's next door for convenient fast food options. There were a few minor improvements needed in the bathroom, but overall, my experience was quite comfortable. The gym was clean and had a wider selection of equipment compared to most other hotels I've stayed at. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

I was charged the IVA Tax even when I presented our american passports. I was told because the passport did not have the entrance stamp but we entered the country using biometrics which basically does not stamp the passports. I tried to speak with the manager but that person did not have the courtesy to get in touch with me, I was told she was at lunch at 12 but also at 2:30, I guess a long lunch … but at least she should have tried to get in touch with me, we were there 2 nights

Property looks just very old, old fashion and not really up to date with current standards. Lots of improvements. Breakfast looks cheap, not elegant at all for a 5 star hotel.

Not happy

Our King bedroom was very spacious and comfortable but there were no tea/coffee making facilities. The pool area is nice but there is no protection from the wind so we didn't spend long there. Overall a pleasant stay, although the hotel is rather dated.

The hotel states 5 star status…Definitely not a 5 star. The wait at the front desk even to reset our keys is upward of 15 minutes. The breakfast food while good is served completely cold. Ran out of toilet paper and today on our departure day our room had no hotwater. The AC is extremely loud. Staff is nice. Hotel can do better.

OLD and not worth the cost

The hotel is old, the rooms old, they smell like humidity. They don’t give you any water or coffee as courtesy. Some of the staff at the lobby are very rude. The breakfast is good tho

Very nice place to stay 👌

Very accessible for different activities: shopping, dinning, transportation. The service was great and very attentive. The hotel and rooms we stayed were very clean and organized. The check-in and check-out were pretty straightforward and quick. Food were excellent. Although I wish there could be more variety for breakfast. Did not have time to try the pool and spa, but definitely next time!

Great stay. Nice clean rooms and truly amazing service. Only inconvenience was I could hear everything from the room next door so I assume they could hear us as well.

This is an amazing place for the money.

The hotel has a great breakfast with plenty of variety. It is also close to two shopping malls.

Stay for one night. The hotel was under renovation at the entry. But they were very accommodating to get easy entry. The front desk Andy was very nice and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. The only disappointing we had was the restaurant at the 13 floor the giratorio, nice place for a romantic dinner. Service was ok but I guess people are so layback that they forget we are customers. Food was price good and quality was good too.

El mejor lugar en el que he estado, limpio,amplio, silencioso. Con restaurante giratorio en la parte de arriba. Alberca limpia, atención del personal muy amable. Quedé encantada con este lugar.

The staff on this property definitely make you feel comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay, can’t think of anything that could have been better. The front door staff were very accommodating. Make you feel special. I have stayed at other properties in Barranquilla and this Dann Carlton is definitely 5 ***** star.

The Hotel Dann Carlton is conveniently located directly across the street from 3 of the best shopping malls in Barranquilla. It's a well-kept older property that makes Christmas shppiing easy. The rooms are clean and simple. The elevators and air-conditioning always function well. The beakefast, however, is crowded on the weekends with a large dining area but no place to sit until a table gets cleaned. The tables and placemets are cleaned with a common washcloth. The staff then places your utensils directly on the not-so-clean placement. The drink station is in front of where people line up for their food, making you having to cut the line to get to the drink station. And the breakfast eggs are too "wet" and lukewarm. The overall selection at breakfast is patially limited from the leftovers from the night before. The limited selection of cheese always has a fly or two. On my final free breakfast morning. The milk that was added to my coffee was brown. Perhaps the milk was accidently put an empty.

Es un buen hotel mal administrado. Las instalaciones fueron buenas pero necesitan mantenimiento, un lobby lleno de gente en temporada alta y solo una persona atendiendo para el check in, los ammenities de la habitacion escasos: 1 solo kleenex, 1 solo vaso , no hay perchas para la ropa, no hay donde guardar ropa excepto que sea de colgar..... aunque la habitacion es muy grande. La zona de desayuno, muy pocas mesas, no tienen lugar cuando el hotel esta lleno... en resumen... podria ser muchooo mejor con mejor administracion. Con seguridad no regreso.

Beautiful and safe

The food was so so not tasty or delicious in the restaurant down stairs next to the lobby, however the one upstairs was better the food. Our room was clean but the bath was inconvenient for my mom to use because was high for her to reach it, and we didn’t like the shower to be honest something weird with it

Bad Customer Service at its Best

Extremely slow service. Though I booked the only presidential suite they have on the entire hotel there was no service. Was struggling to get water or basic things. The manage on duty in day time (a lady) was the most in professional person I have dealt with in years of traveling. The front desk people were rude and had no concept Of customer service. Never ever going back to this hotel. Will make sure I broadcast my views to all the social media channels. Worst of the lot. Do not stay here.

The hotel is nice, but it could use a little renovation. Especially bathrooms, they're look old. And the pool although looks beautiful, not everything was working. Another issue I had, compare to the other hotels in the world is the check in, and check out time. It is a little too long. They're using a copy mashine to copy all your documents. All the personel is nice and very friendly. Not everyone is speaking english though. I didn't have problem with that, but you have to be prepared for it. Overall I had a great experience.
