Lovely smallish hotel in a great position. Perfect for our needs.
Decent for a short stay
Hotel and room were recently renovated and looked good. It was all very clean. Wifi never worked nor did the room’s ancient (not part of the renovation) thermostat.
There is no parking on the property
Small Hotel, Big Amenities!
The room was fresh, immaculate, and spacious, and the staff was consistently friendly and went to great lengths to be helpful.
Parking is an issue. Breakfast mediocre
The hotel is conveniently located by the First Station and walking distance of the Old City. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff was more than accommodating. I highly recommend the hotel.
Home away from home in Jerusalem
We felt comfortable and well cared for from the beginning of our stay. The staff are all very professional and were helpful throughout. On the last day of our stay war broke out in Israel. There were air raid sirens and we had to go to the stairwell for safety. The hotel and workers were so helpful and accommodating. They did everything possible to make the guests feel safe and comfortable.
The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive with a lot of choices. Would have been to have an omlette bar.
Beautiful clean, friendly staff, very knowledgeable and helpful.
It was relaxing.had an excellant breakfast and was close to the old city
Amazing stay. Friendly staff and great food
When we first checked in, there was a misunderstanding. We were two friends and had expressly requested 2 twin beds. The first room had only one queen. It took about a half hour for them to finally get us in the room with 2 beds. After apologizing for the mixup and being settled in our good room, we had a wonderful stay.
Very comfortable and modern, central, easy walking distance to the Old City
Easy access. Clean. Good breakfast. Very helpful service at the reception.
Great stay!
The Dan Boutique was a wonderful place to stay. Their breakfast was fabulous and they were very accommodating. I broke my foot the day before arriving and the ha a wheelchair I could use. That made my stay so much more enjoyable. The hotel is also in a great location for walking around and getting meals.
Lovely position near a lot of nice areas and the old city, but quiet. large roomy bedroom and bathroom.
Some of the front desk staff have been extremely nice.
From the moment we walked in without a reservation Hindi and the duty manger showed us a room. We quickly made an online reservation and checked in. A complimentary drink was appreciated. The next morning we had breakfast and we’re approached by the guest relations manger Rakefet who greeted us warmly. The breakfast buffet was the best I have seen. In conclusion I highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. The hotel is pretty close to Old Town and there is a bus line close by. The area is quiet overall despite the fact that the hotel sits on a pretty busy street. We were very happy with our stay.
Rooms are old and outdated, dark and dingy
Thumbs up!
Nice place and great location. I just could not figure out why my key card would stop working daily when I paid for the room 5 days in advance.
My wife and I stayed there 21 days and we just can't say enough good things about this property and its personnel. 12 years ago we stayed there two weeks and enjoyed it so much we chose it again for this trip. During this extended stay we did not have one single complaint and in fact they added several amenities we did not expect. We hope to return to Jerusalem in the future and if so, we will not even consider any other place to stay other than the Dan Botique. We were pleased far beyond expectations in every way. The gates of the Old City are only a 15-minute walk away. The Old Train Station is only a 2-minute walk away with great shops and restaurants and is a place we went frequently. The location of the hotel is perfect. We really hated to leave the staff there which universally treated us as family. We miss them already.
It was walkable to the old city.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, very well located, good transport links, very close to the old city, good size rooms, installations in good condition for a 4 stars hotel. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, different choices and options, we never got bored of eating in the hotel. The only thing we notice is that service is good for everyone one but excellent for some religious backgrounds.
Old property. Air conditioning was turned to heat only option. Staff not friendly. Room was spacious and it’s walking distance to Jaffa gate
Across the street and around the corner a few decent restaurants and VERY good bus access for local wanna-be. Handy market 50 meters same street.
The rooms gave a lot of amenities which was nice. However, There was some problem with leaking from the shower and condensation build up from the window.
Location and parking were good
Best service i ever experienced in Israel, all staff were very helpful and kind. The hotel is beutifull and cozy. The bad is not so comfortable and is impossible having shower without having the floor completely wet
The staff was incredibly kind and always willing to be of assistance on all fronts. I was impressed by their forthrightness, faultless efficiency and exhaustive assistance; not to mention that the hotel is within walking distance from the holiest city on earth and the American - Jewish Academy of I am a member and ambassador. Shalom, Georgios
This property I have stayed here before. The staff are friendly and helpful. Viega I think she may have been the Manager was extremely helpful pleasant and that come through the staff she looked after. Give her a pay rise. The property very clean and food kosher which was very nice.
Give this one a miss
From the start it was clesr that service was not a priority - the doorman pushed aside our bags when we arrived and closed the door at the entrance. With the exception of Mohamed who was super friendly and helpful, the front desk staff were pleasant but thats where the service ended. The restaurant staff did not smile let alone be courteous, the food at breakfast was tasteless and the breads were hard. The bathroom had no ventilation so after a shower you had so much condensation that the water would flood onto the floor and into the bedroom. Overall definitely not worth the price you pay - for the facilities and / or service.
Very nice, spacious room and bathroom. Staff accommodating.
staff very friendly and helpful. bed and pillows very comfortable, rooms spacious and clean. Terrific central location. despite that, rooms were quiet. would stay here again. Areas for improvement: Gym could be bigger- need space for mats and perhaps an upright spinning bike to increase the repertoire. Gym needs cleaning wipes too Need better hair dryer (not antiquated one from the 80s) attached to the wall.
Our experience at the Dan Boutique Hotel was amazing. From the check in to our last day, we couldn't ask for more. Great location, awesome service and a beautiful property.
This place is walkable to Old City Jerusalem. The staff were nice especially Bashar, he is one of the front desk. He was very helpful. The room was clean. The only thing that I don't like is the parking. They have limited parking space but overall, I would highly recommend this place.
Stuff not professional
Great location. Nice enough staff but not helpful when I lost a shirt that fell down one floor. Comfy beds. Nice room but could use a good cleaning.
We ordered a taxi for 6 am for Ben Gurion; the taxi arrived but was turned away by an employee who then tried to order another taxi, probably from a friend of his. He was constantly speaking on the phone and was very unclear in what he was doing. This made us feel very unsafe, not to mention anxious due to our delayed travel to the airport. When we went outside to stop another taxi on the street, the employee got angry, threatened and followed us and even tried to stop us from embarking the car.
no housekeeping for room. told by staff h would return to clean room at 17:00 we rearranged our schedule and he never showed up after disturbing us to ring towels at 15:00 Our room was not available when we checked in at 14:00 W waited in lobby area and finally got room at 16:00 after asking. poor service throughout stay. This was completely fdifferent to our stay fit days prior.
pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staff
It was in a great location to everything we planned to do. Staff was very helpful. Sweet boutique hotel.
Furious about the front desk staff
The lobby area is fine. The carpet in hallway, first floor smells as did the one in the room. I don’t think they vacuumed my room or cleaned very well. Forgot to add toiletries when they were gone. Staff at the desk was great, nice and helpful.
When we arrived at the Dan Boutique it had been converted to a Covid infirmary. Our reservations had been transferred to the Dan Panorama hotel about one half mile away and were upgraded to a nicer deluxe room, so we can’t complain. We had made the reservations three months prior so I don’t understand why we weren’t notified about the change. We had been coming to the Dan Boutique for about twenty years and it has always been more than satisfactory.
Pesach at the Dan Panorama Jerusalem
Great location. Staff at front desk keep following up when there's a request to do something, which is good because the maintenance staff sometimes take a long time to show up. Oded - night duty manager - was excellent and helped resolve several concerns we had. Nagab who made the omelettes at the daily breakfast was friendly helpful and efficient. Lina at the front desk was also very efficient on checkout. The hotel is getting somewhat old and worn, especially the older rooms that haven't yet been renovated (Oded was able to get us moved to a very nice, newly renovated room even though the hotel was almost full as it was just before the beginning of Passover). The breakfast buffets and Yom Tov and Shabbat dinner buffets had amazing variety. Having a ping pong table was great.
This hotel was fine but not great. It lacked any great amenities. We looked out over a dumpy backyard.
Great hotel
Excellent hotel Very friendly staff Room with beautiful view on old city
I'd Stay Here Again!
From check in to checkout, my stay at the Dan Boutique was excellent. I found the staff to be incredibly attentive, answering any questions professionally and in a friendly manner. Saleh at the front desk, in particular was helpful and friendly throughout my stay. My room was spacious, especially knowing that Israeli hotel rooms are usually on the smaller side. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding had a high thread count - I slept like a baby!! I found the fixtures in the bathroom to be slightly dated but the incredible water pressure made up for any fixture deficiencies. The included daily breakfast was delicious (although I think I gained at least 5 lbs with the various and delicious offerings. A perk of the hotel's location is that its within walking distance (maybe 5 minutes) to Jerusalem's First Station. The original rail station of the city has been converted into a fun destination with amazing food options and some interesting tourist and non-tourist shops. I give the Dan Boutique excellent marks overall and would stay there again for future visits both business and personal.
Good value but needs updating
Hotel is tired, unchanged from when we last stayed there several years ago. The lounge area is poorly lit and not very inviting. The bedroom was comfortable but small and the furnishings need updating. Breakfast was excellet. For the price and location the hotel was generally good value.
An amazing hotel. The people who work at the hotel were really nice. Nael really helped us. Also, we asked for vegan option at breakfast and the kitchen staff made us special dishes. Thank you so much for everything, it was a pleasure to stay at the Dan Boutique Hotel. Highly recommend!
Friendly and efficient staff, excellent location, but insufficient parking, noisy, inconsiderate guests. Breakfast is served from 7:00 -- could be served earlier.
Excellent; friendly, not expensive, delicious breakfast, room very nice.
היה בילוי נעים עם שירות מצוין. הי קושי בחנייה במלון. אוכל מצוין
Recommended hotel Large and comfortable rooms An accessible hotel for the elderly Good level of service
We stayed at the hotel for 8 days during Covid in September for a family event. It is a nice hotel in a very nice area around Emeque Harepheeim (lots of coffee shops and restaurants). It was very confusing time for the staff at the reception with Covid rules changing every day but at the end we sorted it out. The staff was very nice especially Islam. Islam was really special person who provided a personal service with elegance and kindness. It was clear it was genuine – he loves his job and serves people because he likes people. Thank you everyone – we will see you again.
Overall we enjoyed our stay apart from room mantsinance condition There was an unpleasant smell in the room and also a leak in the bath with water coming out to the floor whenever we took a shower .
comfort
Cozy, quiet and calm atmosphere. We want to come back here again.
Jerusalem, August 2021
Good. Service was fine, breakfast good, lots of freebies in the room - fruit, chocolates, tea/coffee, bottled water, toiletries, even bedsocks!
Love the breakfasts at the Dan Boutique.
We had a great time at the Dan Boutique. Breakfasts got a bit boring with little variety after 7 days but that's because the hotel was quite empty most days because of Covid. There was still a large selection.
I asked for room with balkoon..and there no open window even
We won’t come back again
It was very disappointing. No free parking not an espresso machine to make coffee. And when we came back from breakfast the keeys were blocked!!! It is 9.00 at morning we have 2 hours to spend here.
So far it has been okay.
Very good staff, nice room. Bathroom could be updated. Good breakfast.
Dan Boutique is a good hotel. It has everything you needed, our room is clean, we had nice new towels everyday, they neat the room if you requested every morning. They have Instant coffee and water heater inside the hotel. Room size is average, bathroom is typical, hot shower works well. It is chilly inside bathroom. The breakfast is quite expensive for what it offers. There is bus stop nearby , Bus No. 12 to go to The Old City. Staff are helpful. But personally, their hotel is quite expensive for what it offers.
Great location, close to everything in Jerusalem.
A nice place to stay
Could not control air conditioning of room. Most of the time it was too/hot.
Great location walkable distance to old city Jerusalem, stunning view over Old City and Mount of Olives, 5 min walk from great dining options at the old ottoman train station which is not touristy and more locals. Free parking. Comfortable hotel, quiet and safe. We would go back again !
Nice hotel with a beautiful view over the Old City and Mount Olives, comfortable espceially for the suite. The parking is free and location is great as you have the old train station 5 min walking distance with several top 10 Jerusalem restaurant, and nice café for brunch with terraces. It is less touristy and filled with locals. You can walk to the old city in 10min or take a bus which is very easy cheap and convenient.
My Stay
Rami the desk manager was the best! He deserves a raise! He went beyond the call of duty!
Very good breakfast, the size of the room it is very good
We enjoyed our stay. Any comments or concerns we had were addressed immediately with sincere concerns about our happiness without stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located and convenient. We will stay here again.
Nice but overpriced for the hotel level The staff were brusque could have been pleasant since we are guest They were helpful with lost baggage
the service is AMAZING!! all the stuff is going out if their way to nake our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possiblethe location is good
close to old city with a good view. Good transportation to most visit points.
Very friendly staff, and close to Old Jerusalem. Good parking facility.
Great view of Jaffa Gate. Has parking. Easy in and out driving.
This is a fantastic hotel. The location is perfect for access to the Old City. The rooms are spacious, nicely appointed, and have comfortable beds. The breakfast is amazing. I wanted to move in there! The only downside was an unfriendly staff person who checked us in and out. But this wasn't a problem and all of the other staff were friendly and helpful.
Hotel a little
The hotel was a great location. Clean and very comfortable. The staff friendly and very accommodating. Room service was very clean and efficient.
Pretty good value for Jerusalem
Tasty Shabbat dinner buffet. Located a bit outside the city center but not too far from the old city. The hotel has some nice views. Good breakfast
Hit with an unexpected 17% VAT because our Israeli landing cards were from a cruise ship, and different than those attained upon airport arrival. The need for a certain type landing card was not disclosed at any time pre-booking by Expedia or the Dan Boutique hotel.
We enjoyed our stay very much
Great location, great breakfast, quiet and comfortable room
Great stay
Great stay hotel upgraded us to bigger room which was nice staff very friendly and welcoming will definitely go back
Nice hotel but dated
Hotel was comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. In a nice neighborhood with nearby restaurants. The decor however, was dated. Breakfast was good but not as outstanding as at many other hotels in Israel.
When I take e a shower , the water come out from bathtub to the floor, I ask hotel staff to fix it, but there is not improved till next day.
No parking, poor service, no one to talk to , no response
The Best!
It was totally amazing and will definitely stay here again when we go back!
Great
The staff was really kind, good breakfast, nice and spacious room with a balcony (I think we were upgraded). The hotel is a bit old but very nice and great location! Just pay attention if you’reIsraeli, you’ll have to pay extra taxes (מע״מ) at the hotel...
There was a huge roach in my room and the hotel did not even apologize for the inconvenience of changing rooms.
Didn’t get a upgrade! When I asked them to upgrade me the worker in the name of “SAID” lied to me that I was upgraded later on the girl that works in the front desk admitted that he lied but it’s too bad on me . Zero customer service , waiting for 20 minutes to check out. Television in the room didn’t work
Excellent location (near First Station). Staff was 100% helpful and friendly on our one-night visit. Room was a good size. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and modern-looking.
it needs some renovation in the bathroom, the sofa for a child was very uncomfortable. But, great location!
Friendly service, taxi that was somewhat dedicated the hotel (I think Yakov was his name?) The thermostat in the room did not seem to work. The air conditioning remained on even after the target temperature was reached, making the room cooler than desired
Everyone was lovely and welcoming and helpful. The room was large and the hotel is in a great location. My only complaint: The rugs needed cleaning. It made everything else feel dirty although they cleaned it diligently.

Good room, but bar closed earlier than expected
Surprised the bar closed so early (by 11) -- luckily the Beer Bazaar at First Station was open.
