Cheap and cheerful

Stopover on the way to Nice,great location close to Metro and Las Ramblas,neat and tidy rooms perfect for what we required.

Basic but excellent location

Very easy to find, close to metro station and a bus stop, in a small alley but well-lit & next the the theatre so quite a busy route. The glass doors were in a bad shape, they have been badly broken and no signs of them being repaired while we were there. The reception staff are LOVELY, so helpful and polite and speak excellent English. The room was quite spacious for a European city. The curtains were a bit tatty, had holes in and dirly marks, the lamp shades were badly stained and had a layer of dust on. The towels weren't changed for us on one of the days, we had to re-use the ones we'd left on the floor which wasn't great, we should have rung down to reception but we decided just to reuse. The bed was quite hard, very comfortable for me but not for my mum who I was sharing a room with. No USB ports in the room but plenty of plug sockets if you have an EU adapter. Nice big TV and if you have a Netflix account you can watch it there. No bath in our room but the shower is ok, shower gel nice enough but bring your own shampoo as the hotel shampoo isn't great quality. Very noisy door slamming from our room neighbours, but that's not the hotels fault. Excellent location for La Ramblas and the shops around Placa de Catalunya. Lots of places to eat nearby and I didn't find them that pricey despite what I'd read beforehand. I kept my valuables close by and never experienced any pickpockets which I was warned about before my trip.

We booked a double room but recieved 2 single beds. Our room had no locking mechanism on the door so all our belongings were insecure and left us feeling unsafe during the night. The hotel looks nothing like the images. The front of the hotel had a smashed glass front to start with which again made us feel unsafe.

Walking distance to everything!

We found that the staff went above and beyond to make certain that we enjoyed their city to the fullest. Not only did they point out highlights, they also asked us questions about our own interests and time frames Then they offered suggestions that we could choose. Particular special mention to Carlos and Nacho, two of their great staff, with whom we dealt with the most. We look forward to seeing them again.

The location is very convenient and all staff were very friendly. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy and there was no soap dish and we had to leave the soap on the bench, which was messy.

Nice hotel. Excellent and very friendly and helpful staff. No food available on site but available very close by. Also convenient to attractions by using metro stop very close to hotel. Staff gave great explanations for using metro. Walkable to some attractions. Staff loaned umbrellas to us when needed. Room was was small. Did not seem to have working air conditioning. Would recommend based on location and excel staff.

Horrible Hotel Stay

The listing said there would be Air-Conditioning and there was not. They had a unit in the room that blew warm air out. Sleeping at night was miserable with no air. Bed is uncomfortable, I woke up with a neck and back ache. The kind that stays for days. The older gentleman that worked nights was rude. He said they turn the AC off if it isn’t summer but yet it’s 75 degrees out. Completely regretting staying there and I wish there was a review like mine to read so I never would have.

Room is like hospital. I couldn’t feel comfortable during my trip.

Great Hotel and Team

I was in Barcelona for business and looking for an affordable, comfortable and central hotel and Im pleased to say I found it in Dalia Ramblas! Ideally situated on Las Ramblas near all the entertainment. Very close to the Metro if you wanted to get around. Carlos who greeted me throughout my stay was and excellent host. Really good guy, remembered me by name and provided some guidance on how to get to the places I needed to for the event I was in town for. The two ladies who were also there during my stay were excellent too. The room had everything I needed for my stay and was set back from the noise of the main street. As a frequent business traveller I highly recommend this hotel!

Staff were very friendly and gave lots of useful information on arrival. The rooms we had were clean and the Hotels location was perfect for our stay. The Hotel is just off the La Rambla and has easy sccess to the Metro. Barcelona old town is only a few minutes walk away, where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants.

I loved my stay at Dalia Ramblas. I will definitely stay here again. The front desk was very helpful and provided guidance on what to do. The rooms are small. If you are looking for a hotel with big rooms, this is not the place. But the hotel is conveniently located in the gothic quarter. I doubt you will spend much time in your room. The beach is about 40 mins walk (worth walking to the beach lots to see on the way) or about 30 mins by bus. A lot of options for food, drinks, and sightseeing, The staff is friendly and willing to help you with any questions you might have. I highly recommend staying here.

Basic accommodation but clean and very comfortable. Great location central to everything. Smallest balcony I have ever seen. Would stay here again but next time I would take a travel kettle. No fridge in the room. Rooms and communal hotel areas very clean. Reception desk staff were super helpful!

We could not get the fridge to work and the towels were pretty old and ratty. Hotel was clean and the room was cozy with the couch and the deck was perfect!

Amazing location and staff was always helpful and friendly! My only small complaint is the advertisement shows a nespresso machine in the room and there were not any. They have a vending machine for hot drinks though.

Small rooms in a very central location. This is a busy location that needs some attention for the prices charged.

Excellent staff and just great value for the price. They were helpful and the room had little unexpected amenities and even a little gift (an apple).

The Staff was very nice and helpful. They speak English, provided useful local information. Ana, Carlos and others helped us a lot. There is a safe box in the room; no refrigerator but a big one in the lobby,;no laundry but there is one about 3 minutes away (12 Euros per small load). Hotel is in the middle of the center area, which is close to many popular sites. Metra (L3 subway) is 2 minutes away. Some ATMs are nearby, US debit cards work fine and is cheaper (5 euro fee) than currency exchange.

Very economy and convenience

This place is the best location for sightseeing Barcelona. Walking distance to the center areas and catch city bus, metro easily. Front desk staff are very helpful and gave us very good suggestion and clear information. But you should keep in mind that the stand room is small, but it function for visitors - just sleep in the night and out for the most of day.

Very happy with this hotel it's my second stay here .Booked the suite this time as I like plenty of space and will definitely book it again next time . All the staff are lovely and helpful and I was on the top floor with good Wi-Fi access. I would and have recommended this hotel to friends and family.

Location excellent - can’t fault. Steps off Las Ramblas & the metro station 1 min walk away. Staff very welcoming & friendly. Rooms clean - although shower was broken so whole bathroom got wet when used. Walls very thin could hear doors & voices early morning when rooms being cleaned. Lady outside every morning screaming outside the Opera (opposite hotel). Overall very good & would recommend especially if your an early riser

All great for a budget hotel apart from noise. Nice carried throughout the corridors at night and my sleep was disturbed both nights I slept there.

Very close to Las Ramblas, But far enough away to be be quiet at night, best of both worlds, Few minutes walk down Las Ramblas from Placa Catalunya if you get AeroBus from the airport. Hotel clean and staff very friendly.

Loved this Hotel.

I have stayed in 3 other hotels in Barcelona, and a couple of others in other parts of Spain - Dalia has been the best (not the most expensive). The location is great, the staff friendly - the room is ideal. I had room 404 which is a double room for single use - so it's small - but even so, big enough. Double bed which was the most comfortable of all in Spain - nice new bathroom, desk, hanging space. A chair may have been nice, it has the room, but even so, it was clean, comfortable and very quiet. I would definately stay here again.

Overall condition of room was mediocre. Bed was sagging, light from window shaft made it difficult to sleep. I expected better quality for price.

Amazing staff, great location & Room, Awful A/C!!

The staff were wonderful and the hotel is in a great place, the only thing is the air conditioning was the worst, literally worst A/C in my life, room temperature was 30-31 C! ( that's for over 4 days staying there). It was a beautiful hotel and I can't emphasize enough how great the staff were with words. We will not forget them <3.

Hard to beat

Perfect location, right next to a metro station for easy access around the whole city. The staff was beyond excellent as well, willing to help in anyway they can.

Perfect Location

Great little hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Friendly, clean. Please note though that the cheapest single room does not have a window, just a sky light in the bathroom.

Pleasant stay, very well-located.

The room was somewhat small (to be expected for a hotel in central Barcelona) but more than enough space for just me and incredibly comfortable! Very clean, modern, and not noisy at all despite being just off La Rambla. Very comfortable in terms of temperature too, with climate control that felt amazing coming back after spending a hot day in town. The location is perfect, just far enough away from La Rambla to avoid noise and crowds but still only about three minutes' walk away. Metro stop Liceu on line 3 is conveniently located to get you nearly anywhere you'd like to go in town. My check-in was pleasant, the blond gentleman making me feel very welcome and offering to help me find my way around, since it was my first time in Barcelona. The only opportunity for improvement would be the wifi speed and reliability. Apparently they were having problems with it during my stay so it may have been a one-off issue. Hopefully it's been resolved! Overall a great stay, and I highly recommend!

great staff, friendly and helpful. there's a fridge and sink to share with staff, along with tables and chairs so impromptu meals were easy and often. rooms were small, but well set up and clean; shower/bathroom was very nice bad: there was a desktop computer in the rear lobby, but it (a) had no modern browser installed - I fixed that problem - and (b) it had terrible wireless - and no hardwired - internet connection; so, effectively useless very bad: Air conditioning was out for 9 of the 10 nights we stayed there - room was hot and uncomfortable

Comfortable and Quiet

Charming and quiet hotel located within steps of the ramblas. Immediately greeted upon checkin by a friendly gentleman, who gave me some amazing recs during my stay. Everyone I met was so nice and accommodating. Room was small but much bigger than I was expecting, as I heard the rooms in European hotels are tiny. Everything was clean. Had a hard time turning off the heater so the room felt a little warm. Luckily there was a window so I just kept that open while I slept. Would definitely stay here again just for the location and comfort.

Nice hotel and location. If coming from USA bring converter, room only has 220 or can buy one for six euros at local electronics store. AC not working well; resolved by opening window.

Nice but small hotel near la rambla

Directly off la rambla. Very close to metro stop. A nice double room with good facilities. Difficult to control the temperature of the room, couldn't get it below 20 degrees, this meant the room was quite hot at night. opening the balcony door, did not help as the loud noise and smoke from the street outside wafted into the room instead. Very helpful staff in giving directions and ensuring we had a nice stay.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Dalia Ramblas Hotel is a hidden treasure! We stayed here one night and came back for two more after visiting Madrid. ALL of the staff are super nice and professional. The location is central and a short walk to the Airport bus. We felt very safe, comfortable, and informed. When we had questions, they went out of their way to help (and with a smile). We were in Europe for about 6 weeks and this hotel was our favorite!

Excellent location - just off Las Ramblas

Couldn’t have been in a better location. About 100m off Las Ramblas. Central for everything - restaurants, shops, beach and harbour. Hotel reception were excellent on our arrival. Talked us through what to see and do and recommended some lovely restaurants too.

Fantastic hotel

The hotel is within walking distance to the major sights in the historic center and is a 2-minute walk to the Liceu metro station. No breakfast is served but one can have something to eat at their sister hotel, a 5-minute walk on the other side of La Rambla, for a nominal charge. My only negative comment would be that the street below my room was fairly noisy - even with the window closed - until about midnight.

Great location Great Staff

We enjoyed staying in an area that is close to everything, including transportation. The gentleman who worked at the desk (Manuelo? I'm not sure I have his name correct) was extremely helpful every day with directions, suggestions, and advice. The room was clean and comfortable. If you are unfamiliar with Barcelona and want to see the sights, and enjoy the city from a central location, in my opinion, this location is idea. Not fancy if that is what you are looking for, but why stay in a fancy room when you have Barcelona at your doorstep?! Clean room, great shower, friendly staff. Perfect for us.

Great location and comfort

The hotel was extremely comfortable and centrally located. The hotel staff were very helpful in directions, calling taxis, etc. My adult daughters and I would stay at this hotel again if we come back to Barcelona.

Location,location,location

Location,staff and service great. Has all that one needs,few steps away from la rambla and center . Tv programs poor And a bit smells. We are told that is the case in many places in center for the old sewage sistem in the old part of town.

Do not book their single rooms..Its like a railway compartment & no space to even move around!!

Clean friendly hotel excellent location

Excellent staff and staff. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water but on ground floor you have to run it for five minutes before it comes through. Ground floor room faces internal square so couldn't have curtains or windows open for privacy. Would definitely return but get a room on higher floor with outside balcony.

Spotless and convenient to transport

Great place to stay. I'll definitely go back. Lovely staff couldn't be more helpful. Lots of hot water for shower. Free toiletries. Hotel was quite but nightlife etc very convenient in walking distance.
