Had an absolutely dreadful experience at this hotel and feel compelled to warn others. The behavior of the staff was nothing short of appalling, and I left feeling humiliated and outraged. During my stay, I was treated like a criminal, accused of stealing a meal during dinner. Let me emphasize that I was a paying guest, and the way I was harassed by the staff was not only unwarranted but deeply disrespectful. The staff’s behavior was intrusive and aggressive—they repeatedly questioned me during my meal, creating a scene in front of other guests. It was utterly degrading and completely ruined what should have been a relaxing evening. What’s worse is the lack of professionalism and courtesy shown by the staff throughout the ordeal. Rather than addressing any concerns discreetly or respectfully, they chose to escalate the situation unnecessarily. The staff’s attitude was rude and accusatory, and they made no effort to apologize for their mistake or the embarrassment they caused me. This kind of treatment is unacceptable in any establishment, let alone one that is supposed to offer hospitality. Instead of feeling like a valued guest, I was made to feel like an unwelcome intruder. It’s shocking that this level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic decency exists in what is supposed to be a service-oriented business. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect and hostility. Avoid this place

Fantastic location & amazing staff
I loved it here - it had the personal touch and I can see why people come back year after year. Perfect if all you want to do is relax, sunbathe, swim and read. I loved the food - always fresh, home made and a large selection. All the stresses of life have disappeared!
Loved the swimming pools, particularly the one cut out of the rocks in the bay. Great food buffet- good variety. My room was a bit tired- bathroom needed an overhaul as there was mould residue on the tile grouting.
Love the place! Excellent service!
My airline cancelled my flight so i arrived a day later. Reception was very welcoming and gave me a meal voucher as i had missed dinner the night before. Reception organised my airport transfers which was hassle free. Food was good and a big variety to choose from. Rooms are cleamed every day. A lovely stay was had and I was happy to have a pool and private beach at my disposal. I booked a couple of local tours who fetched me at the hotel. I had a lovely Seaview room. I will definitely come back here
Lovely hotel with great amenities and close proximity to key locations
Gorgeous Sea Side Resort
Amazing resort hotel with cosmopolitan flare. The most shining stars come from their built in swimming sea coves. One gentle/shallow and one more adventurous. The pool is lovely & we appreciated security suddenly appearing when a group of partiers started getting out of hand. We appreciated having lots of loungers and many different areas with them. Provided yoga class and other built in activities a plus. It’s worth it to at least pay for the built in breakfast, if not more. The food is fabulous, with a wide European selection, and eating while facing the sea is relaxing. There is a walking trail throughout the property and a fabulous traditional Cypriot Taverna right across from the parking lot. The area is a snorkel lovers paradise and the nearest dive and snorkel shop is walking distance. Many other antiquities like castles and ruins are a short drive towards Lara point. If you are planning on swimming at this hotel bring your own beach towels. We were thankful we had, based on other places we were staying on our trip. The family suite was good for four. The only time the staff was less than pleasant was when we asked for an additional room towel. We had 4 people in the room yet were only given 3. The front desk staff was surly about this and did not want to give us a towel. If the facility itself was not so beautiful, this experience would have left me with an unsavory feeling. However, the resort itself is so stunning we’ll definitely be back!
Nice place
Great value, great service, great food.
Highly recommended. Great service. Very clean. Great selection of food.
Fantastic hotel in Kissonerga
Fantastic hotel with brilliant staff. Better than all so called "higher grade" hotels i have visited in the Paphos region. Big shout out to all staff from the manager, Andreas, to the entertainment team, bar staff, reception people, restaurant staff and the cleaners. Just outstanding 👏
Excellent find enjoyable stay
Nice clean and great service
Great hotel
What a fabulous hotel. The private beach and the staff just make it so special. (Love the beach bar) only 2 things I’d change. 1) the beds are very hard and the pillows are not great quality. 2. Breakfast (for an English person isn’t ideal) other nationalities probably love it though
Nice
Very good hotel
Very good, nice hotel, nice crew, nice service
Some of the reception staff a bit short the others were polite and helpful
Beautiful location,sea swimming and sunsets
Lovely hotel , however two things . Breakfast is a shambles as the hot and cold drinks are rammed in a corner - total chaos . Also the steps into the lagoon very slippery with slime . Both these things could be dealt with very quickly with a bit of thought
I stayed all inclusive with my partner in the Olympian wing “superior room”. Negative points: The first impression was not great, for some reason the specific instructions said 3 single beds when I was hoping for a double bed, the split down the middle resulted in poor sleep. They didn’t respond to my email prior to check in, though admittedly I didn’t realise until on the day so short notice on my part. Our room was nice but on first night appeared to have excessive amount of ants. There were still ants in the room daily, but were not as frequent or in large groups as night one. The balcony was on the side and not facing out to the sea, which is not what I expected. Maybe not a negative but something to note. Positives: the staff made the experience a good one. I would like to thank Tanya, Natasa, Olivia, Valentina and the gentleman with paw tattoo (I didn’t catch the name) for serving me drinks and ice cream at the beach bar. They were really focused and efficient and patient with my ever changing orders. We were at the sea front daily and so we spent a lot of time back and forth to the bar. The food in the restaurant is a buffet and they have plenty of variance, the good thing is you will find something each time. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all good and puddings were nice too. I don’t have much else to say, we really enjoyed the holiday and despite their being room for improvement. We would come back to this hotel and stay again all inclusive.
Lovely stay
Peaceful Ocean-Front Oasis!
Located on a beautiful little point by the sea with lush vegetation. Wonderful swimming and snorkelling just off the beach. Bring your snorkel, water shoes, towels, toys - not included. Reserve beach chairs by 830am. Hotel older with some issues but clean and well cared for. Rooms a good size and clean. I had a beautiful sea view and loved listening to the ocean. Staff were helpful when asked direct questions but not overly friendly or sociable. I had the all-inclusive and found food and drinks pretty lacklustre - not a lot of flavour, lots of mass- production, re-runs day in and day out. Think high school cafeteria. The salads and fruit were hi-lights as they were fresh and tasty. Lines and crowds at buffet constant but expected for August. All-inclusive drinks were pretty bad - all some version of fountain soda or sugary syrups mixed with cheap alcohol. By day 3 of my 6 day stay, I was no longer eating at the hotel. There’s a beautiful sea-side restaurant next door with amazing sunsets, brilliant food, excellent wine and wonderful service - Tsiakkas Tavern - highly recommend. A few good restaurants on the main drag near the hotel and loads of good eats in Paphos. Overall, I was happy with the hotel for its proximity to the ocean, beautiful grounds, lovely sunsets, crashing waves and cleanliness. If I go back, I wouldn’t take the all-inclusive - outside the hotel there are many wonderful dining options for those with a car and a few for those without.
Great discovery at a fabulous price
Modest price gets the best position in the area with a very friendly and helpful staff making sure your stay is top quality. As for the views from the rooms and the rock pool at the edge of the ocean, constantly washed with waves of clear sea - heaven for a family, a sole traveller like me or a group....give this place a go - you wont be disappointed!
The sea view was stunning. The lagoon to swim in made the holiday for me. I didnt like the food choices, very monotinous. If you choose half board the snacks at lunch are unappealing and expensive. They charge 3 euros for a coke and 4 euros for a coffee. That was served in a paper cup. The usual amenities coffee/tea and fridge you have to pay extra for. 🙄 taxis to the harbour are 20 euros, where normally, its a lot easier to get around. Entertainment was below par.
Friendly
Only Cynthiana Beach hotel in Cypress! We are thrilled and will recommend to friends and family!!!!
We stayed in a junior suite, which has a beautiful view and is renovated. Everything was perfect, except for the proximity to the bar where all the activities such as karaoke etc. took place.
I used this Hotel for an overnight stop, travelling out on a non-change over day prior to taking over a Villa for three weeks. It was a late check in and early check out next day but ticked all the boxes and I would stay there again
Lovely location
The hotel has nice view and was cleaned , did not like they do not have any entertainment apart of few minutes per day aqua gym.No music at all next to the pool , if wanted to walk in the evening, everywhere dark , no lights , looks like is end of the world.Understand is quiet place but still, nobody omesto offer some excursion to see some around.
Pros: location, great views for dining, parking, private beach. Gym has been updated and better than being shown on line. Cons. On site dining is quite expensive. if you wish to have tea in your room it will cost you €20 for the week. Our air con did not work, fortunately temperatures early season made it less of an issue. I would return to Cynthiana
Bring sea shoes, goggles and snorkel!
Terrific location, especially if you're beach and swimming bound. Short walk to probably more open restaurants and shops in the high season. Pleasant staff, with special notes to breakfast staff and beach bar. Would be nice to have pool towels available. Corridor carpet outside room needs upgrading. Our room was lovely with good size and balcony, but we will probably upgrage next time to get a few basic amenities. We would of enjoyed wifi in room, kettle and lotion in bathroom. Looking forward to returning.
Lovely spacious & clean room. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was lovely with varied choices.
Excellent seafront location and spacious room.
Seeing as this holiday was cancelled in August, I’m really surprised you want me to review a holiday I didn’t take.
Did the job, needs improvement
Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms but very dated and could use a full renovation. More or better organised parking required on site. Breakfast was disappointing. Would have liked some fresh fruit on the buffet rather than the awful tinned stuff (it’s in abundance in Cyprus at this time of year) and a better choice of food and drink.
Nice indoor pool and a nice outside pool. A very nice beach with line of rocks making it like a pool, great for kids.
A large hotel - but with personal service.
For a large and busy hotel everything went smoothly and was handled efficiently by competent staff. The buffet breakfast is well organised (excellent range of food available) so that no one is left queuing and there is plenty of seating. The hotel is kept in good condition and clean (with extra Covid protocols in place). Overall, very impressive, a great location and friendly staff.
Amazing views, great snorkelling right in front of the hotel. Beautiful sunsets. Staff are fabulous. Has a life guard, child pool, indoor and outdoor pools and ‘the lagoon’ seawater pool which is great. Never had a problem getting a sun lounger. Bus stop really close by so very easy to get to the harbour area and Coral bay. Entertainment ok if you like that kind of thing. Food is ok, but repetitive and as a vegetarian not so much choice. Place could use a bit of updating in places. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours. Unfortunately smokers allowed in all outdoor areas so strong smell comes into the property in the bar and pool areas.
Ideal situation for a peaceful break by the sea - beautiful
Lovely stay, really enjoyed the sea pool although the steps into it were a challenge. The staff were excellent (Reception, cleaners & breakfast waiters. Our room was lovely (866). The breakfast layout could be improved to give more space for the hot drinks area.
Very pleasing stay
It is a rather big hotel that includes 4 buildings. Our room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The buffet breakfast was quite decent. The beach seemed rather small for the number of tourists. Not everyone could have a sun longer right on the beach. Many of them were slightly further away from the sea, or around the pools. One would not feel hungry at the property as there are enough points to get a snack or something more substantial. The hotel works with big tour operators and quite often tourist buses take and bring tourists. Still it is very quiet. We were not very happy though that the hotel did not provide beach towels, but that is their policy. One can get a tea maker and a safe for extra charge. Unfortunately I failed to find the massage service though I had planned to. Out is SPA services I saw a sauna and a small indoor pool. May be I just was unlucky or did not really want it. Mind that many rooms especially on the first floor do not have a sea view. There are 3 nice restaurants within 150 meters from the place. The center of Paphos is 15 minutes by car. One can easily get to many interesting places in the area. I believe for a 3 stars hotel it is a very good place.
Despite booking our stay last November and paying on arrival was asked if would go to another hotel. Upgrade she called it. No we were part of a wedding party and arrangements had been made from cythiana beach hotel. Eventually receptionist agreed to let us stay saying she would move another guest. Quite unhelpful person.
Cynthiana has million dollar view overlooking Mediterranean sea! But there's no air-conditioner operating yet while room temperature was 26~28 Celsius. If we opened the door, mosquitos came. I would be glad if the hotel provide mosquito spray at least. This was the only downside of this hotel.
Everything perfect nice place hospitality fantastic very cleaner
The location is perfect! The staff were friendly and nice. The room was big but the water stream in the shower wasn’t too strong.
מלון מדהים ! על החוף נוף אין סופי חדרים שנמצאים על הים לישון עם הקול של הגלים אין דברים כאלו ! קסם של חוויה !
Stayed at low season and had a perfect srstay ay. We had a balcony and sunset view was amazing. Very nice pool and beach.

Great hotel nestled by the beach
It was fab hotel with own little beach area...lots of sun beds and the pools were so clean. Smioth check in and check out. All staff were so friendly and professional and lovely. Breakfast wad great..lots of choice. Fab sun sets from hotel. Definitely stay there again...loved it.
recommended hotel!
I stayed at Cynthiana Beach Hotel with a friend and her daughter. The room was very nice and clean, I would recommend to put some extra pillows for each room, they were a bit uncomfortable for me, and some extra blankets just in case someone's cold during the night. The staff was super kind and helpful. The wi fi signal could improve but it was ok, we only had wi fi at the common areas (lobby, cafeteria, pool, bar). Great food, good all inclusive services. Definitly a great hotel to spend a relaxing time, specially families with children.
Beautiful location
In an awesome spot with great views. The rooms are old & dated but nice listening to the ocean at night. The breakfast was great with lots variety.
Beautiful hotel
My husband and I stayed here 4 night. In November. hotel offers comfortable spacious rooms with nice airy design all around the hotel premises it's nice atmosphere to chill out here . Lovely little beach with indoor and outdoor pools. Nice big reception area lounge and bar and restaurant over look the sea. Good breakfast Very friendly staff and helpful staff was very pleased with our staying here. Hotel has spa services well worth it recommended try out wellness massage and scrub and oil massage Nearby we tried restaurant dorira really nice food as we fancy a late night. pleasant family owned restaurants
best location, great stuff and reasonable price
great experience .... located within a bay, first line to the beach, kind stuff and spacious rooms (the family one) the restaurant has live concerts at evening the indoor pool is not heated
Was a little bit away from town but a beautiful location, facilities and staff. And there's a couple of very good restaurants right next door.
Good location
Good location between Paphos and Coral Bay. On regular coastal bus route. Rooms currently undergoing refurbishment, those not done are tired but the housekeeping is good. Typical buffet range of food for breakfast and dinner. Very efficient staff bringing out fresh food and clearing tables. Snack bar and pool bar available. Beach lagoon very good as it provides a sheltered life guarded area to swim in. Wind and rocks can prevent sea swimming otherwise. Pools were cool but it was Oct/ Nov. Table tennis and gym facitilites okay. Tennis court in need of resurfacing, it is a carpet which has worn away at the base line making it dangerous for serious play. Evening entertainment from 9.30pm was available but we did not use. Could not hear it where our rooms were so good if need to sleep. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definately recommend for family or quiet break as there are plenty of areas to accommodate everyone.
Nice but dated.
Good value for money
I was lucky and was put in one of the newly renovated rooms where the air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was nice and clean. The breakfast fills you up but it's not of very high quality. The juice isn't juice, it's sugary drink. But if this is all I have to complain about then you;ll have a good time if you're only there for one or two nights.
NEVER AGAIN
5 cypriot channels..only 3 transmitting and they diidn't manage to fix it. We ask them to clean the room and until 1500 they couldn't because of short stuff. Very old lockers at the door and all the residents hit the doors again and again to make sure it was locked. The women for cleaning didn t speak greek or english (only russian)
One Night Stay
We live in Cyprus (Paphos district) and stayed for just one night to be with relatives who were holidaying in a nearby hotel. Hotel very nice indeed. Our room was modern and extremely clean with a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was average but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay at this hotel again
Good hotel
Good hotel for a short trip. Friendly and helpful stuff.
Fairly basic hotel but in a superb location.
Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and, regrettably, little has changed . The hotel location, midway between Pathos and Coral Bay , is superb and the sea pool is a delight. Staff are friendly and helpful but , in my view, food is not up to standard so we have gone there recently oh a B&B basis.Breakfast choice is quite good but more often than not, luke warm at best ! and no microwave provided. Food is a very personal choice and although acceptable in the main could certainly be improved. There are several nice restaurants locally which can all be recommended. Hotel bedrooms are being refurbished and, upon inspection , are a great improvement...very bright and modern. Further rooms are being done over this winters closure. Enjoyed our stay, met familiar visitors but just a little disappointed .
Great stay
Great, relaxing stay. The location is a little bit away from the harbour area where there are lots of restaurants but not a problem if you have a car or don't mind taking the very reasonably priced bus. We liked the little sandy cove by the beach - being almost enclosed makes it very safe for young children and babies.
One of the best sunsets
Nice hotel, welcoming staff, absolutely beautiful location. One of the best sunsets. Cynthiana is highly recommended. The hotel is set in a very beautiful natural area and a lagoon type is an extension of the sea water suitable for kids and non swimmers. Staff was very friendly and willing to help with everything. Mrs Toulla she was excellent and very helpful this gives me a great opportunity to say a great Thanks. Andreas
Great hotel
Great staff really welcoming. View from room excellent waking up to the sea. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools, in the garden and at the beach. Thanks to Alex and Aphrodite for making our evenings extra fun. Excellent Bus service at the end of the road goes to Paphos and Coral Bay.
excellent hotel close to bus route for east or wes
as a solo traveller I found the hotel friendly, clean and in a good location.
Dont bother
Average hotel, good rooms but really really terrible food. We were on half board basis and it was not worth it. The cheapest food you can get
very good experience. Highly recommended location for quiet holidays
Lovely hotel in beautiful location...
I initially thought the hotel was too remote, but found there were regular buses to-from the harbour. Had I known this before, it may have affected my choice, but realise that most Hotels in Paphos are set out like this, you get no noise from bars/clubs, so it's cool once you get used to it. My room had a sea view, which was stunning - I only booked a garden view, so it was a bonus. The Hotel had lots of loungers on the private beach & in the gardens, indoor/outdoor pool, beach bar, massage area. Hotel staff were very aloof & never spoke, except reception staff. I ordered an iced coffee @ the beach bar without sugar, but it was too bitter. I asked for sugar & was given a small satchet. I added more from a larger jar & the guy glared at me & started talking in Cypriot to the others. Another guy said to me 'next time, tell him you want it sweet'. I said there wouldn't be a next time. Why the drama over a bit of sugar? No need for the attitude, it really shouldn't have been a big deal. Towels/sheets only changed every 3rd day, I'd have preferred fresh towels more regularly. Beds made, but not changed daily. Be aware that you can hear people in next rooms, TV blaring, doors slamming, kids & adults shouting into early hours. Not the hotels fault, but it can be a pain if you need to get up early for trips/flight home. Overall, I enjoyed my stay & now I know what to expect, would probably would stay again if ever I return to Paphos.
On the beach but a taxi ride from the bars, etc.
Nice enough hotel in terms of its location which i think is what sells it to be honest otherwise the fact that it is a good few miles from the bars, shops, restaurants etc. is a bit of a pain. The hotel is also in 4 blocks and there is a slight gradient walking from the main reception, hotel dining, etc. to our room in the heat, which was in the 3rd block - a long way to lug your suitcase as no help was offered. The air conditioning in my room was not very strong (I just returned 9th Sept 2015). Great that it is only about 25 minute drive from Paphos airport. We went half board and breakfast became very 'samey' and boring but I've experienced that in many hotels worldwide so no surprises there. Evening meals were nice enough however they did tend to 'hog' the water rather than just put a jug on our table we had to keep trying to get the staff attention to refill our glass - I can only assume they wanted us to order drinks instead. Overall, a decent enough 3* hotel (in my opinion). I would recommend a room with a sea view, it's fantastic!
Furniture needs an upgrade
The pullout couch in the suite smelled old and the mattress was thin and stained. The hotel staff apologized for the condition of the room, hence the high rating for hotel service. Listening to the waves crashing on the coast helped me fall asleep.
Handy hotel near Tala.
I booked this hotel because it was inexpensive and close to my friends who live in Tala. I travelled on my own and only booked b&b basis. The hotel is in need of a makeover but it was fine for me. I just wanted somewhere to sleep and have breakfast. It's about 7 miles from the Paphos harbour (along the coastline, shorter by road) and about 3 miles by road to Coral bay. The staff were friendly and very polite. Breakfast didn't change all week much but was okay.
