It's the second time we stayed in Curringa Farm after 13 years. It's still as wonderful. Jane and Tim are very friendly and helpful as always. The two-hour farm tour is a must to join and it's very informative. And watching the night sky full of stars and even aurora is truly enjoyable. A must place to visit in Tasmania.
We loved our stay at Curringa Farm. The cottage we had was plenty large for our family of 6 pax and clean and very well furnished. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a quick meal and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the farm with the scones the next day. Our kids loved their farm visit and being able to feed the alpacas & highland cows & chickens. Thanks for a lovely time. :)
The rural sheep farm offered quiet, a modern cabin, excellent food dinner, a wonderful farm tour that included wallabies, echidnas, a sheepdog herding demonstration, and an up-close sheep shearing demonstration. The owner is gracious and informative in several languages. We spent 2 nights enjoying comfortable beds and the calls of many interesting birds and animals. Nearby we can also recommend the gin distillery tasting and hiking the 3 waterfalls at Mt. Field national park.
3d2n stay
It was amazing! The house was big and spacious. Quiet and comfortable. The farm tour was great, just abit costly. The house has quite a number of crawling insect during the night time. Otherwise it was a great experience!
Wonderful experience. Highly recommended to any couple and family.
Great stay at Curringa Farm
We had a fantastic couple of days at the Curringa Farm. The chalet is well-located (far off the main road), big and well-equipped enough for a much longer stay. It has all necessary amenities. We also enjoyed a generous barbecue hamper on the second day. It is not too far from the walks at Mount Field national park.
Stunning Property and Wonderful Hosts!
We stayed 'Over The Back' in one of the beautiful log cabins. It's incredibly quiet, the views around the property are amazing and the owners are absolutely wonderful. Grab yourself some champagne, fire up the BBQ and enjoy the Australian wildlife. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended!
Excellent views over looking sheep glazing grass land. Beautiful cottage with full facilites, clean and tidy. We love the unit layout with full glass window, enable a full view of the grassland.
Modern, well appointed villa in a beautiful setting.
Dream home
V nice farm house with superb view & sheeps around you. Highly recommended!
The serenity and setting are amazing Very relaxing Breakfast and dinner provisions wonderful Maybe some paper towel and bbq clean wipes to clean outside bbq
This was my second time stay at Curringa Farm. Still feel amazing!
Our family of four enjoyed the space and luxurious touches at our Curringa cottage. We had a stunning outlook over the dam and watched as the setting sun changed the surrounding countryside to a golden glow. The hosts were very friendly, helpful, and supplied a generous breakfast for the first day’s stay. We wished we could’ve stayed on a little longer. Very relaxing in a beautiful setting.
An excellent location and a pristine accomodation.
Awesome !!
We really enjoyed the stay with Curringa farm, the place was perfect for our family of four, very spacious and peaceful. Especially enjoy our dinner at the patio with the sunset view, Tim and Jane are very helpful and kind to offer us homemade apple pie. Everything is perfect. We also joined the farm tour there the next day.
Farm experience
Very comfortable and cozy to stay with birds and sheep to wake u up in the morning. Nice farm meal
The place is so great and the night view of the stars is excellent.
Amazing property with stunning view and comfortable stay. The farm tour is great but kind of expensive.
It was a beautiful quiet spot to relax! Would recommend for a romantic getaway 🙂
Nothing to not like about the place!! Stayed in the seaglenest studio, really pretty. Each accommodation in the farm is set a distance away from each other so you’ll have your own privacy. Woke up to sheeps grazing in the back. They have a couple of alpacas and highland cows as well. Tim and Jane were kind enough to arrange for someone to show us around the farm when they couldn’t fit us in for the tour (thanks Sophie!). Highly recommended to stay here!
Interesting experience, fantastic view
Curringa Farm provides us BBQ food enough for three meals. That's a bonus. The room is clean and the view is fantastic. At the night we could hear sheeps borowow and see the walking around our cottage. An interesting experience.
The lake view and surrounds were beautiful. Accommodation was lovely and peaceful and very clean.
Tim and Jane are great hosts! We stayed one night at the Curringa Farm in Wedgetail for 4 adults and 2 kids. We were very comfortable in the cottage and Jane made sure we have the food that we need and Tim gave us an amazing farm tour the next day. Plus weather was great and it was definitely a good experience for all of us. Highly recommended!
The house is very comfortable and clean. The host is friendly and we have well communication, he came to our house that night to see if we have any need.
All things are excellent, will come back again. Nice place , good to see sunset and setup .
Perfect!! Extremely beautiful place with superb clean and natural environments! Twinkle stars in the night sky! Excellent! I miss this place..I wish I can return to Curringa Farm one day in the future! No doubt, you won’t regret if you choosing here!
Loved the view from our cottage, how peacefully it was and relaxing. Had everything we needed plus more
Love the interior design of the cottage. BBQ dinner provisions and breakfast provisions are really good. Pay extra to join the farm tour but a bit disappointed, nice if we could try out harvesting / planting crops or feeding farm animals.
The best stay in our Australia trip
Wonderful experience! Spectacular view from Wedgetail Wing. Farm tour is amazing, we get to see some wallabies and rabbit and thousands of sheep.
Checking in was a bit worrying but we did arrive quite late, next time we'll know better. It is, after all, a working farm as well as accommodation & entertainment/educational (farm tours). The cottage set-up was wonderful, the only thing I didn't like - because I am prude - was the lack of a toilet door. One can always sing when "occupied" I suppose!
The farm owner Tims is good owner. We are stay quite comfortable and my both sons are happy staying in the farm. Good experience for them.
Farm Stay
It was great driving down a windy dirt road to get to our very modern 2 Bedroom cabin. Tim the owner was very helpful and had provided a lovely fresh breakfast of bacon, eggs, bread and cereals. We arrived at night so didn't get to see the lovely view from our room in the morning. We would definitely say here again
Overnight stay at lovely Farmhouse
The 9 of us friends had a lovely stay. The farmhouse looks newly renovated and much better than the picture shows. BBQ food and breakfast supplied was much more than we could consume. We had an overnight stay here to break the trip between Pedders Wilderness Lodge and Hobart. The stay far exceeds our expectations. Will definitely come back when I am back in Tasmania with my family.
Nice accommodation , checkout at 10 AM which I feel bit early please consider to revise to 11 AM
Cosy farm experience
Cosy place to stay in the country with lovely Lake outlook, sheep grazing to our door, tasty eggs and bacon breakfast, peaceful surroundings and highly recommend it.
Fantastic farm stat
The host is very nice. Must join the farm tour. Wonderful experience.
We were in an older cabin. It was a great space for families and we enjoyed the stay and complimentary breakfast.
Real farm worthy to visit
It is a very good choice if you want to see real sheep farm. Running by family from 1828, it is 300 hec with beautiful farm view. The owner Tim welcome us at the cottage and prepared delicious home made foods. The stars at night is a must to see. Unforgettable!
Private, beautiful surrounds
Absolutely amazing private comfortable accommodation nestled near a beautiful Lake. Faultless! Enjoy the serenity!
Excellent for a romantic getaway
Quiet, comfortable detached cottage with everything you need provided. I stayed at Seaglenest and it was equipped with a jacuzzi in the room. A good choice for a getaway for couples.
Peaceful setting and very relaxing after a lot of driving. Staff very friendly, welcoming and courteous. The accommodation was so very comfortable and we wanted to stay longer except our schedule would not allow this to happen. Breakfast provisions were scrumptious - especially the freshly baked bread! We have already recommended this property to friends.
Best stay in Tasmania
The area is surprisingly beautiful and the room is very clean and new.
Special farm experience
Nice stay. One thing surprising me is they have rice cooker and rice. Good for Chinese. Must join their farm tour in which you can get close to the sheep. The afternoon/morning tea is also good. Thanks for the hospitality of Tim!
Nice farm setting
Very nicely decorated place in the middle of farm , near lake make it better
Road to find your own soul
This place is out of nowhere, surrounded by nature. Room is beautiful
Amazing!
Arrived and we were checked in by the lovely owners, our room was spotless and the location superb. Everything we expected and more. Most thoughtful hosts, everything had been thought of.
Great cottage by the river
Stayed at "Over the Back" cottage, excellent choice! Very clean, cosy, well equipped. Big deck overlooking the river, kookaburras laughing around. Lovely spa!
Our unforgettable stay
We enjoyed our stay very much and definitely will make our return trip...thanks Tim & his family and team
Would be great to hv free wifi
We loved the wood fire, BBQ and the space
Exclusive and extremely comfortable
This is probably the most unique location of our stay in Tasmania. The large expansive farm and a warm comfortable cottage next to a river makes for a magical experience!
Lovely and romantic house
The owner, Tim was very nice and friendly. He gave us an interesting tour in the farm. We will definitely go back for another stay.
Nice peaceful surroundings
Very relaxing and peaceful with baaing from sheep at times. Good for day trips to mt field national park and russell falls. But must find own lunch and dinner if not keen on bbq. I liked cooking in the natural log cabin setting so was a good experience esp for cityfolks. Came prepared with food to cook. Those not used to the slightly yellowish water bring your own mineral bottles but we boiled the tap water and no problem for the 2 days we stayed.
Comfortable house and beautiful scene
Warm, comfortable house and beautiful surrounding. We had a good experience there.
Excellent farm stay
Would have stayed here longer if I had known how good it was
Overall, it was a great stay. However, the heating could be improved. There were electric heaters and blankets in the rooms but they couldn't keep the rooms sufficiently warm. The living room relied on the fireplace for heating but it wasn't sufficient.
Comfortable and quiet place
There were 5 of us but there were 2 bath towels only. Quite disappointed. We had to make do with those small face towels left in the cabinet. When queried the next day, the receptionist said the cleaner thought there were 2 of us only! But we paid for 5 and booked way in advance!
This place is really great for those who would like to relax in the peaceful natural environment.
We only stayed for one night, so it was too short to fully enjoy the stay.
Great farm stay!!
Very good experience to stay in Curringa farm.. The owners are friendly and nice.. The cottage is comfortable and the design is sweet and nice.. they gave bacon for breakfast and the homemade jam is super.. Also, the morning farm tour is fun and great too.. and worth for money!!
Great stay in a quaint cabin
We had a great stay in a quaint cabin. The fire was already started in our cabin when we arrive, leaving the cabin warm and toasty. Our host Jane was there to welcome us and also showed us around the cabin. It was great that she informed us that the hot water is from a water tank so we were more careful with the amount of hot water used. The BBQ pack we ordered was tad expensive though. We were looking forward to BBQ outdoors but it was really cold so Jane suggested that we do a indoors grill instead. Breakfast is provided but you have to cook it yourself. This was a little unexpected for us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and would definitely want to come back again.
Wonderful cottage and lovely farm
Very friendly staff and a great and wonderful cottage which is self contained. Nice breakfast set with bacon and eggs for cooking and cereals, milk and orange juice and bread provided. Great farm that we were allowed to drive round to take a look.

Many insects came out in the house even we had closed all windows and doors. All ladies were very frighten and screamed. We had no means but found a vacuum cleaner to suck all insects as we could. It's a terrible night!
各樣安排均很好,住宿,環境,風景,動物等等,很舒適和寧靜。 惟另外訂購的午餐,份量有點少,款式較簡單
超級好的體驗房間超級美麗農場主人超級好 我們還看到極光
