Great stay and location.

Great location. Close to the major attraction like the public pool and pick up points for tour. Also the Night Market is right next door for food. The hotel also has 2 small pools as well that is shaded from the sun.

Lovely accommodation, well laid out with eco touches like cardboard coat hangers (great idea!) A special mention to Jaydev for making our stay so much more enjoyable.

Got an accessible room with a view of a huge AC unit. Had to go all the way back to change the room. There is small open lift for wheel chair access at lobby level to take you to front desk as there are quite a few steps. That is great but annoying to use every time you come in and go. There is no help to take the luggage to your room. The room was quite small and inconvenient design. The shower glass door was ineffective and flooded the entire bathroom. In the name of ecotourism- they had these really dirty black tea cups and two super flexible hangers in the room. Had to ask for more! The eco friendliness was a joke - There were a million lights on entire day entire hotel and corridors had ac blasting all day. The breakfast was a mayhem and chaotic. Truck loads of Chinese tourists fighting for the items. Nothing tasted good. No tropical fruits at the buffet - just watermelon and cantaloupe. Very few vegetarian choices. No eggs to order or choice of coffee. The location was great - walking distance to shops, restaurants and night market. We could get car rental from nearby Enterprise and walk to Cairns station for train to Kuranda. Overall, book this hotel only for the location. Don’t worry about breakfast inclusive rate. There are a thousand choices right outside - more authentic, healthier and value for money. Avoid if you have mobility access issues.

We really enjoyed our stay at Crystalbrook Flynn. It’s perfectly located for easy access to the esplanade, lagoon and marina, as well as many restaurants and shops. Convenient self-parking in parking garage ($15/night) available. Rooms were spacious and clean!

Bad lighting in the room . The main pool was freezing cold so we couldn’t relax with a drink as there was No service around the pool.fridge and room facilities not filled - had to ask! Room was not that clean. Bed not made properly. Some of the staff were apologetic but would not stay there again as it was a hit and miss of service.

Stayed at the Flynn for two nights and were happy to return for another two after we did a catamaran sail off shore. Staff was amazing and helpful and eager to assist. Rooms we had were nice with good beds and great showers. Nespresso coffee which I’m always pleased to see. Great location to the Esplanade and shopping. Recommend!

Loved the hotel design & location. My room was at the Esplanade tower but didn’t have a good view . However I still enjoyed my stay & loved the room & its amenities . Everything was a walking distance and a lot of dining options in the area.

We stayed here and found this location easy to walk to restaurants and local attractions

An absolutely amazing hotel! I didn’t realise but I’d booked the urban king room which was absolutely huge and sooo reasonable I thought the price was for a standard room! Pleasantly surprised. A little issue with check in as the receptionist didn’t explain properly to me how to use the lifts as my tower was a different side so I spent about 10 minutes trying to work that out before having to ask another member of staff who was extremely helpful and took me right up to my room. So this is my reason for 4* staff. Otherwise everything was incredible and I wish o had longer here

My daughter and I spent last week at the Cairns, Crystalbrook Flynn. From the check-in procedure to the check-out procedure, we were treated very well by all staff. The reception staff including Michaela, housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff were all pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and respectful. Five star location. Our stay was an absolute delight. Very different layout of a hotel which over looks the cairns esplanade. Rooms smell mouldy due to the tropical weather. Sea view rooms can be quite loud as they also over look the bar area on lower levels. Comfy beds, compact rooms which are perfect for a one night stay. Great location right in the heart of cairns!

The hotel was right in the Esplanade which made getting to the Marina and food easy. The guest parking was $15/day.

Super friendly staff and helpful. Variety of food and drink options and the in-room entertainment is really top notch with an assortment of new release movies.

Excellent stay

Fantastic location, very central to Esplanade, Pier, public transport, shopping and any other amenities. I found room fitout quality very good and cleanliness fairly good too.. Only reason why I won't score as 'Excellent', I had a King Bed room and it wasn't a King Bed, it was two single bed mattresses put together.

Gorgeous hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Foyer and other public areas are beautiful. Stayed in a twin room for two nights. Room a good size with enough space for luggage. Comfy bed and pillows; lovely bathroom. Only negatives were the lack of a full-length mirror and the lighting in the bathroom - impossible to do makeup. It's hard to look past those two issues as they made it very difficult for two women to dress and groom properly.

The best hotel stay I have had in many years. I regularly travel for work (this was a personal trip) and could not fault this location. I loved the lap pool each morning, the staff upgraded my room to a glorious sea view room, it is literally in the heart of Cairns CBD. Rooms are well appointed, clean and everything runs seamlessly.

Very friendly, full service hotel. Good breakfast included. Pools are small, but beach towels are provided. Excellent location!

Got charged my bond twice and when asked the lady she didn’t even apologise for the mistake. Overall a good location and comfortable bed.

Would have been better if there was a ramp in the lobby to bring in our luggage

The rooms were nice, stay in the Abott tower if you want it a bit quieter. The breakfast buffet was very expensive $38/pp we thought it was included in the price and were disappointed to realize that it wasn’t at check out. Be sure to confirm

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff is excellent. My only criticism is that they do not offer assistance with luggage, and there is no ramp—only stairs, which makes it challenging to carry heavy bags. Although they have an accessibility lift for wheelchairs that can be used for luggage, but I didn’t find it very convenient. Overall, it’s a good hotel.

The location is perfect as you walk straight out near the night market but esplanade side..free bubbles, free box of treats in your room and yummy breakfast upstairs. We will be back. Everything was clean although the pool lounges and surrounding could do with a daily clean and no pool towel pickup spot down at the lower pool

Ordered a room with balcony, didn't happen. Ordered room service, dinner was cold.

The hotel was conveniently located and had an exceptional view but housekeeping and maintenance let's them down. Room service was unavailable after 9pm, QR code for poolside drinks was unavailable in the afternoon and the pool was under cover and there weren't enough deck chairs available for us to use, we then went and used crystal Brook Riley's pool which was superb and the bar was operating. We stayed six days and had to call housekeeping daily as they failed to restock basic items such as face washers, soap and teabags. When we booked the hotel in advance for our special anniversary we requested a king seaview room, arrived late Sunday evening to two single beds and had to call and wait for housekeeping to come and push the beds together and make it again. Housekeeping was done late daily, surfaces not wiped and glassware and crockery only rinsed. Credit to the concierge who on day four gave us a bottle of wine in compensation for the constant hassle for having to follow up. Room technology was modern but very frustrating, everything is on the tablet, which you go on holiday to get away from and wasn't explained upon check in so it wasn't until day three that we figured it out. The TV was huge but some channels didn't receive a clear picture. Far too big for the room which was quite small. The buffet breakfast was very good but lacked the finer details of what you would expect of a five star hotel. Overall, not worth what we paid, perhaps Riley would have been better.

The Crystalbrook speciality is woke virtue signalling with no substance. They claim to be saving the world but neglect guest service and facilities. They have a tablet full of word salad instead of a compendium but it doesn't tell you how to operate the very poor lighting or other room features. Yes, the lighting needs instructions! The only option there is to not be disturbed is via the tablet, choices are: "for rest of the day or rest of your stay". No more signs like do not disturb or make up my room, that would be too convenient for guests. Even when you call them to not to make up your room, that instruction does not make it to staff, they turn up anyway. They do not accept the legal tender of Australia because "germs" but they don't spend any time removing germs from common places like door handles, elevators etc. (They do not mention how much they profit from charging transaction fees). We booked a harbour view king. The room was very small and had 2 king singles pushed together. We asked for a room with a real king bed and were moved accordingly. The next room was much larger with a lounge area and well appointed. The illuminated light switches next to the bed never dim. The hotel is in a convenient location and is generally comfortable and the staff are polite and helpful.

In the middle of everything.

We booked a sea view room. It’s nicely appointed, clean and everything you need. The bathroom is modern and had consumables available for us to use. What they don’t tell you is your room is in the Esplanade Tower. Boom, boom, boom. You’re right above a night club. Boom,boom, boom. Hope you didn’t come here to relax. Boom, boom, boom. The sound goes on all evening. And while it is a sea view, what you actually see are mud banks in the distance and the roof of the nightclub off your tiny balcony. It’s ok, but it’s not premium.

Modern hotel right in the middle of Esplanade. Of note- no beach there- only mud. For beach experience you would have to drive to Trinity beach which is 20 min away. But this area is central for everything else- food, excursions and shopping.

Place was great. Only thing is the address is for the rear of the hotel, not the main reception/lobby.

The room is super clean, spacy, very quiet and close to all amenities. The king size bed is very firm and comfortable, those pillowsare soft.

Only disappointment is the bar closes early. We went out for dinner and wanted a night cap before retiring and we were very surprised the bar was closed early on a Friday night.
