Good place to stay

The hotel is very nice. Pleasant place. I really enjoyed the breakfast. You can choose whatever you like from the menu and even if it is not. The manager has been very kind and professional and very customer focused.

Met my initial expectations from a Business hotel.

Nice hotel in a good location for business

The hotel was very nice, tidy and clean. The evening restaurant served very nice food. There was only a couple of things which were not so great: 1/ No Airconditioning during winter as heating is on. The room was 26 degrees which was too hot to sleep. I was told to open the window but its quite a busy road outside and lots of cars tooting their horns 2/ Breakfast was limited in relation to options of cold food.

Very polite staff. Hotel is clean and comfy. Breakfast is excellent. Business district Aurel Vlaicu very close by. Also subway station within 10 min walk.

Hotel is ok for position but has to improve rooms

Hotel has good position for offices around, but we had a hard time booking the rooms because the prices spiked up a month before, although after some days they went dramatically down and hotel refused to reimburse the difference or apply benefits. The breakfast was excellent, although with little variety, and I have to say that service was really at top, with reception and waiters at complete disposal. When arrived I found the heating broken, the day after I was sent a reparation, which did not fix the issue completely, but temperatures overall were still ok. The rooms are a bit tired, bed are definitely not comfortable and sheets are really messy, it is impossible to sleep well in all these folds and covers which are none of the right size. For the price you can find something better around or in the center.

Good for business

Helpful fast service. The breakfast staff was also very efficient and attentive. The room was of good standard and well equipped. Would go again. Perhaps a bit far out of out.

This is my third time at the Crystal Palace, and I've got nothing to say that is bad about either the staff or the rooms. Highly recommended.

Staff is Rude and No Air Conditioning

This hotel DOES NOT have air conditioning!!!! Beware!! The front desk staff are rude and I am pretty sure they just don’t like foreigners.. We complained about the A/C and finally they moved us to another room that had windows in separate rooms so we could have a “draft”. Lady at the front desk had the audacity to tell us that the entire hotel switches to only heat in the winter time. It might have been the end of October but it was prob 80 degrees outside. We almost walked across the street to another hotel and would’ve just forfeited the money but we had way too much luggage & were exhausted after spending 2 weeks road tripping through Romania. The bed was actually pretty comfortable but the bathroom was dirty and the sink was so clogged I had to rush when brushing my teeth. Overall the absolute worst experience we have EVER had in any Hotel. Period.

Very nice hotel, beautiful building. Walking distance from the city centre (about 15-20 minutes). Helpful staff, big rooms, quiet area no noise coming from outside, free parking.

Helpful staff, modern hotel

Hotel staff had me a to-go breakfast for my early flight out. White glove checkin service. Hotel lobby is gorgeous and modern by any standard.

Decent hotel close to a nice mall (Promenada) and relatively close to the airport. The area is not bad, or good, just meh... Friendly staff and better than average breakfast!

Staff bend over backwards to be helpful

The hotel is generally neat and tidy. Aircon seemed a little lacking. The rooms are on the small side, but well presented. There was a slight confusion about my booking, which the staff bent over backwards to sort out. The staff generally are a real credit to the hotel, and make the stay so much more enjoyable. A good hotel to use if you need to stay in Sector 1.

Nice hotel not far from the airport

Hotel was basically good. Unfortunately, I was given a room on the first floor facing the main street so I heard cars + pedestrians talking on the sidewalk until very late at night. The TV didn't work in the bedroom, which was certainly unexpected. The clerk who checked us in was very professional but didn't seem to know that she could, for no extra money, smile and say 'Welcome!'. The breakfast was excellent.

great hotel

Enjoyed the crystal palace and the friendly staff. Excellent service and superior breakfast. Bed comfortable and about 5 blocks to metro. Pretty close to airport(about 15 min) I would highly recommend it is you need to be on that side if the city. Can speak perfect English.

Nice

I was in a rush I stayed only 12 hours . Nice room actually they upgraded at no extra cost. Friendly staff. I invited relatives at diner ,the food was good.

Decent hotel

The bed was a little on the hard, springy side. The gym is somewhat of a dungeon, the cardio equipment didnt work as well. Breakfast was pretty good. Not a bad hotel for 2 nights

Okish

The hotel itself not that bad, the furniture could use an upgrade though, they are a bit shabby without the chic. People are extremely kind and polite, the place clean, the only issue was the breakfast, it didn't seem very fresh. Area quite ok, close to the aeroport.

Very Nice Hotel With Excellent Staff

Staff of the hotel was outstanding. Room was nice. We arrived late at night and they got us right to our room. Even had a complimentary fruit tray waiting for us! The next morning, we had a city tour scheduled that did not work out and the staff went above and beyond making recommendations, getting a taxi and storing our things while we toured the city. Everything was as advertised, maybe even better! Good location. Highly recommend.

wifi never worked despite calling front desk. Hotel smelled like cigarette smoke despite non-smoking claim. bell service was none existent.

Excellent stay. The room was very large, even though I only asked for a single. Very clean, good mattress. Excellent and courteous staff that goes out of their way.

Not bad at all !

Staff is very polite, friendly and always ready to help. The front desk did not have my info when I arrived so I had to wait but the issue was quickly resolved. Ther's also a generous breakfast bar with the same helpful staff.

Reasonably priced and a decent location not far from the airport. Staff was nice and accommodating and dealt with an urgent issue I had from a guest support standpoint in a professional and efficient manner.

Very nice hotel.

I was really surprised how extremely helpful and pleasant was the hotel stuff. It was a big +. Very often you don't get service like that in a five star hotel. The lobby and breakfast area was really clean and spacious. Good breakfast, clean rooms. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Truly Enjoyable!

This was a business leisure trip combined. I needed free excellent Wi-Fi connectivity and chose this hotel for that reason. The Wi-Fi was superb, good connectivity, consistent high and reliable speeds and I didn't always have to log back on repeatedly when returning to the hotel. I enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and for dinner where I used those occasions to read emails and important documents and respond accordingly. Serving staffs never rushed me to move on, so it was enjoyable to do work while having leisurely and delicious meals. Hotel staffs from the restaurant, front desk to room cleaning service staff were professional, courteous and friendly. The hotel property is good, rooms are clean and maintained, service excellent and I also enjoyed the hotel lobby while doing work there and having coffee or drinks. The hotel is a little ways from downtown, but accessible easily and quickly via taxis or a train service that stops in front of the hotel. My work is leisurely done with no pressing demands and in fact, I exercised each day by walking to downtown and back, although this probably is too much for most individuals to handle physically. I stayed at the Crystal Palace for three nights, left for the weekend to spend time in Brasov mountain area, then return to Hotel Crystal Palace for two more nights before catching my outbound flight home. Overall, it was a most enjoyable stay.

Great Value for the Price!

This is a four star property with five star service. Staff are professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and with good command of the English language. Breakfast buffet is very good, and the dining restaurant for evening food is an excellent value, with good Romanian servings. Room service is very good, and the help service most friendly when you meet them in the hallways. I chose this hotel mainly for the high remarks on Wi-Fi service, as I need good connectivity, high and reliable speeds to do my work in the evenings and early morning. The Wi-Fi did not disappoint and I loved not having to logged back on when returning to the hotel at the end of the day. I stayed three nights the last part of the week and then left for Brasov for a weekend get-away. I then return to the Crystal Palace for another two nights before my outbound flight.

Service good but Iron missing

I stayed here for 5 days and the overall service was very good. Especially the hotel manager was superb. Negatives: Iron board and Iron were missing - if the hotel is 3+ star and it should be default in all rooms and not something the guest has to request everyday. The Hotel staff were very good in responding and arranging something but then I expect it to be there by default. Sleeping pillows were not great - they were too soft. I suffered from neck pain.

Acceptable 3.5 star hotel.

Acceptable 3.5 star hotel. Excellent concierge/doorman on duty on Thursday Oct 30. Receptionist staff very obliging. Restaurant staff very good in the morning and evening. One disappointment was the room itself and my heart did sink a little when entering (I believe 201) - especially the bathroom (brownish-coloured tiles are not a good choice for a bathroom without any natural light). Refurbishment had taken place. Very, very frustrating lack of sockets and had to go to reception to ask for a multi-plug adapter so I could use my laptop next to the TV. There were just two sockets - one for the TV and fridge. On a positive note, the fridge was quite spacious and not overly crammed with stuff so I could actually store milk, orange juice, yoghourt etc. I usually stay at the Howard Johnson Grand Plaza but for some reason the prices were 50% higher. The Palace has many things to commend it but unfortunately the slightly heart-sinking moment on entering the room means that I will still look to the Howard Johnson as my first choice. I'm afraid the Palace might not make it to 2,3,4 place - mainly sue to the decor and 'feel' of the room.

I've stayed at the Crystal Palace while traveling on numerous occasions. The hotel staff is always courteous. The rooms are in very good condition and everything is very clean.

This was my third stay at the Crystal Palace. As always, they exceed my expectations. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Crystal Palace

An excellent hotel for a short break visit to Bucharest. It is conveniently situated for the airport, business district and a short metro ride to the city centre. The is plenty of parking in front of the hotel and nthere is a tram stop nearby. The metro station is a short walk away. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Perfect for business or personal stays

This is my second time at the Crystal Palace and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with this visit. The hotel staff, especially the hotel manager, were *very* attentive to my needs. I spent many hours in the lobby visiting with friends and the lobby staff always took great care of us. My room was always well maintained and I had a great view of the surrounding architecture. The hotel is on a primary street so there can be some road noise during the day but that means that it's also convenient to get around. Very close to shopping and it's easy to get to the historic parts of Bucharest. The included breakfast is a great way to start the day and I had dinner a few times. In the end...it's the great service that makes the difference. I bugged the front-desk staff at all hours of the day and night and they always helped with my inquiries.

Attentive and friendly staff

Rooms were cosy, the hotel is in a very good condition and currently being refurbished, enjoyed the breakfast. What I liked the most was the staff: very attentive, friendly, always smiling, helpful. I've even found a fruit basket with a hand written note in my room when checking in and that impressed me, because who is handwriting welcoming notes nowadays? The whole experience felt very personal. Would definitely stay there again

Alles gut, mit Ausnahme der Klimaanlage

Service und Essen waren sehr gut, nur leider schaffte es die Klimaanlage in meinem Zimmer, trotz mehrmaliger Überprüfung durch das nette und hilfsbereite Personal, nicht die Zimmertemperatur unter 24 Grad Celsius zu kühlen. Das Fenster lies sich leider nur abkippen und brachte keine Abhilfe.
