Very friendly staff. Felt very safe as a solo traveler.
Wonderful
We got a room with nice river views. Near the park, close to the bus stop. Great breakfast. Nice staffs. We really enjoyed it!
It’s a 3/12 star
Needs a little maintenance
Bedside light not working and bath plug is worn out.
The staff was very nice and helpful. We will be back again .
This is a very nice place with good breakfast and good access to attractions by bus.
No fridge or iron in the room. No good parking or drop off facility
The hotel room had everything we needed to feel comfortable.
Modern, comfortable and convenient. Staff willing to go above and beyond.
Great room and staff! Thank you
Upon early arrival,I asked that my medication be put in the refrigerator. There wasn’t a refrigerator in my room. When I went to retrieve bags, medication was on top of my luggage not the refrigerator. It was left out for 3 hours. Another employee kindly assisted and it was smooth sailing from there. Checkout was a breeze. He even gave me a coffee and snack to go.
Comfy for short stays, tricky neighborhood
It is what i would expect from Crowne Plaza. Thank you once again.
The Crowne Plaza Lyon Parc de la Tête d'Or is comfortable, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Beautiful location next to the river and the park. Only drawback is the closest store to buy water, snacks or anything is about a 20 min walk. It would be nice if the hotel had a little shop that sold little items like that.
Great
Everything was good
Everything in the hotel room was fine, the AC left the room quite dry though and the drain in the bathtub wasn't a complete seal so it was draining slowly over time though. Getting transport into central Lyon isn't hard via bus, you can use TCL E-Ticket app to purchase bus passes. There's also a nice park to visit and take a stroll through. Nearby dining is nice.
Revie
The bed was small and the room was a little bit cold but the service provided by the employees was perfect
Beautiful hotel
its a great hotel and the kids and i loved staying there. My only complaint is that it was way too hot, and even after turning off the heat the room was dehydrating.
The perfect place to stay!
This was an amazing place to stay! The front desk staff helped us find our way around, guided us with written directions even. This was extremely helpful as we do not speak French. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone visiting Lyon.
Great breakfast. Clean, and friendly staff.
Nice room with a river view. Able to get breakfast in the room, however there was no room service or restaurant for the evening. All the local eating places opened at 1900, so we ended up driving to McDonald’s! Car parking is not cheap, it is in a secure car park, but no direct lift into the hotel. Baggage trolleys are available. A comfortable room.
The room was great but the service was missing
The room was great but the service was missing. We followed the instructions for parking which was below the hotel. As my wife showered I went down to the bar to get us some drinks. The bartender was the slowest server. There were 2 other customers and it took close to 1/2 hour for him to serve me. When we arrived we were told what the parking rate was for guest. leaving the hotel they said we would have to pay the hourly parking rates since there were no hotel rates.
very bad receptionist and worst checkin experience
The worst hotel check in I have ever had! The receptionist staff Dong was the rudest person I have ever meet, the moment we reached from a long drive where we were exhausted we had to wait for him more than 10 minutes while he was on his phone to answer a small question! Just needed to know where to park my car , and when I tried to talk to him he asked next to stop rudely by his hand which got me out of my temper, but still he continued to be rude and careless as if he own the hotel, not sure how would crown plaza have such people in front office it’s a big shame as he spoiled my first day in Lyon
we arrived at 2 pm but the bar was closed already and no possibility to get a light lunch we are vegetarian.
The hotel is far away from all the restaurants and town areas. We had to walk 30 mins just to get food. The staff was not helpful with restaurant recommendations, a bit cold. When they found that we reviewed the room as outdated they stopped us in the lobby and said they would love to make us happy and upgrade us into another room and we almost took them up on it but then we discovered they would do so but by charging us more for the upgrade so kind of pointless. Breakfast was really good however.
Beautiful hotel, the rooms were super comfortable and spacious. Lots of small details that make the stay way more comfortable.
Arrived very late (0220 AM) - staff were very helpful and the room was excellent considering my short stay.
Below average
Beautiful views from this hotel of the river. However our room seemed like it needed extra cleaning and it was a decent walk from the parking garage to the hotel. Our room smelled like stale water damage. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful!
Crowne Plaza Lyon. Both thumbs up!!!
Everything was wonderful. The reception team was helpful and so lovely to work with
Very clean and spacious room. Bathroom was very clean and new.
Convenient for Congress centre
Staff helpful and friendly. Room and bed comfortable. Not soundproof but okay. Easy to use climate control. Free bottled water. Good light in bathroom and magnifying mirror appreciated. Nice shower, towels, toiletries. Right by park. Buses to city easy and efficient once sussed out the routes. Also walked to town some days. Enjoyed my stay.
Excellent
Best stay I ever had.
Parklife
Excellent hotel in a fantastic location across from an amazing park.
Nice hotel
Central, quiet, comfortable. No free oarking us a bit if a oain, but car park next doir, abd a socuak rate uf car there fir 24 hrs.
Nice stay in Lyon
Friendly staff from reception to room service. Bright, large and welcoming room. Breakfast was nice, made of continental and English breakfast. Greatly located, close to a huge park “Parc de la tête d’or”. I didn’t have the opportunity to go for a run unlike my colleague but I paid a visit to their 24/7 fitness room. Somewhat basic but with the necessary accessories.
Exceptionally helpful staff. Location is quiet and comfortable with some restaurant options within walking distance.
Amazing Hotel
Second visit at the Crowne Hotel, and once again we had an amazing time, the staff was very professional and friendly, the room comfortable and the view very pretty. We will certainly come back.
Pleasant stay just outside of city centre
If you can't get a hotel in the city centre this is a good option. Its very generic, soulless, but you know what you're getting. It is about 10 - 15 min. from the city centre, but there is bus stop just outside the hotel which can get you to and from centre and to the main train station. Restaurant was ok, nothing special, but vey nice staff.
will stay here again
Great staff and clean rooms.
Excellent hotel staff
All of the front desk staff were cheerful and eager to help with maps, directions and even allowed me to email journal papers to the desk and printed them for me which made my work life easier. The bartender gladly supplied champagne buckets and ice. The room was small but furniture in good condition. The bathroom could use an outlet for a curling iron etc. and a drawer for cosmetics.
Nice hotel with great access to rest of city
Great hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Nice lounge area with restaurants close by and easy access to public transportation to get where ever you need to go.
Good business hotel
Good business hotel. Stayed in a standard room, which was small, but well equipped and offering a very comfortable bed plus Molton Brown products in the bathroom. Had breakfast in my room on two mornings, which was good and also one dinner via room service, again, very good. Staff all very pleasant and helpful, and the free Wi-Fi was quick and reliable
The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful, friendly and could not do enough for you. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Nice Hotel.
Nice Hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you want to have peace and relax this hotel is your best option.
Weekend visit
Weekend break for dining & watching the rugby finals with family.
Great hotel next to the park
Great hotel next to the park.
Great Hotel
We stopped off here for a one night stay on our way to the South of France. The Hotel was great and just what we needed to relax after our long drive. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was great. It's definitely a bonus having the car park next to the Hotel. Overall very happy with our tsay and would definitely recommend this Hotel.
Don't stay here if you aren't going toa conference
Great location for conference, literally walk out of the door and there you are. 15min bus ride downtown. Right across the road from a beautiful park for walking or bike riding. The staff are friendly but not always particularly efficient at what they do. There is a concierge desk but no real concierge service offered. everything from the 'concierge' seemed an extra effort with little follow up. Little things in the room were funny, some days you get a chocolate and a water and other days you don't. The air con struggled to keep up despite being on the absolutely lowest setting. A few calls down to the front desk made no difference at all. They didn't or couldn't do anything about it and again nobody bothered to call me back to let me know. Breakfast was very limited and it always seemed to be a huge extra effort to cook me poached eggs rather than eating the mass cooked scrambled eggs. No fish options with breakfast. There is nowhere other than the hotel to have breakfast which finished very early (930am). The lower levels do not have a view of the park despite extra charges for a park view.
efficient hotel in good location for conference
ideal location for conference some distance from city centre. Public transport good until about 11pm
Great hotel for business and conference!
Conveniently located by the conference center "Cite Congres". Great views. Also opposite bus station for easy access to city center.
Staff are very good, helpful, knowlegable VG
Staff are corteus, kind, knowlegable and friendly
My Stay at the Crown Plaza in Lyon Cite Internatio
Excellent stay - only downside, I requested a high floor at the time of booking and was on the 1st Floor - not so great. But the room was large and clean. Would have been nice to have an extra TV in the sitting room. Breakfast was nice once I got a table. Lots of tables had not been cleared.
Convenient
We booked to stay here for 3 nights whilst attending a concert at the amphitheatre. We arrived early but were able to check in to our room immediately. We overlooked the river Rhone and were ideally placed for a number of restaurants and bars. Our booking was for two adults but sadly we had just one teabag, one tiny carton of milk and and one biscuit. Room service arrived at 3:45 pm , not quite what we expected for a 5 star hotel . Staff were welcoming and attentive . I'm afraid this hotel did not meet our expectations
hotel rating A 1
very pleasant stay...great staf
One of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed in
Great elegant décor, very comfortable high bed, with comfortable mattress and mattress topper and feather pillows. No street or corridor noise. Pretty good breakfast. Very helpful staff, who sorted me out with a limo to the airport for EUR50. Only complaint - the rooms and bathrooms were a little spartan but overall thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Overall an excellent package.
We had a very comfortable stay. Had a very sound sleep.Good location not too far from the motorway.Overall an excellent package.Weather reminded of good old Blighty---raining
Nice place in Lyon
great price & amazing location, very close to a beautiful park, bike rentals and great restaurants. Nearby bus access is very easy, and fast. Hotel staff were very accomodating. Enjoyed the comfortable bed, king size a must. Would definitely return here.
Good Staff
Very good staff. Location not near areas of interest or stores where you can get your own snacks and drinks for room.
easy to move any where .
it was nice , i like the hotel and i will advice my friends to go there.
comfortable and calm
Overall we are satisfied with that hotel.
French chic.
Excellent all round. Very helpful and friendly staff, easy access to Lyon centre, wonderful park close by, ultra modern surroundings. We would happily recommend this hotel to friends.
Fabulous staff
The excellent front-counter and reception staff made the stay a wonderful experience. They were most helpful in pointing out various transport options and recommendations for restaurants. The fact they spoke excellent English also ment I did not have to gesticulate my limited French.
Establish good and beautiful and calm unmatched
Decent hotel with good staff
Went to Lyon on business trip and excellent location to convention center and great staff. rooms were small and very poor air conditioning.
Overlooking Rhone
Excellent hotel. Fortunate to have room overlooking Rhone. Convenient to where I was doing business, but still walking distance to centre.
jA very nice hotel, but not downtown
Lyon is not an easy city to navigate. However, once you find the hotel at the very top end of the park, this hotel is well situated to local transportation. It is, however, very inconvenient for walking to the downtown area. It also does not have an abundance of breakfast restaurants (it's in the World Trade Center) so you must eat at the hotel at rather high breakfast prices. The hotel itself was better than "OK" but I'd rather stay closer to the city center next time.
Great hotel for conference
Last minute booking due to a cancelled flight. Staff good not have been more obliging. The dinner was excellent as well.
Great stay
Exceptionally friendly, helpful, professional staff on reception. Convenient for transport links. Many reviews and the hotel site refer to the frequent C1 bus service which stops outside the hotel. Few refer to the C4 and C5 buses which also use the same stop but go to other places in the city. Ideal for tourists.
Good Business Hotel
A good hotel specially if you are in Lyon for business. The hotel staff try their best to be helpful but they need to learn how to anticipate clients requests and have the right attitude to respond! Case an point, I needed an English Plug adapter to European plug, the hotel had none, and staff didn't try to solve this problem. I had to ask them to speak to a close by Hotel to borrow one from them, and I had to go a get it! Beds are comfortable, quality of linens are great. Towels on the other hand are a bit shabby! can use a better quality, and have better smell. If you want to be close to city centre this hotel is a bit far.
Good hotel to stay in if price is not the factor
Though the hotel was good enough for me and my friend, we used two rooms just for five hours daily for sleeping. The rates charged for us were much higher for the facility provided in comparison to similar hotels we used earlier in Europe and other places.....some consideration need to be given to make the customers give repeatative business....... we enjoyed the stay we intended for the purpose.
Pleasant, if you need be in Cite Internationale
My first time in Lyon, I was there for TPAC (a W3C conference) that took place in the nearby Congress Centre (the same block and very comfortable walking distance). Several colleagues complained to congress organizers about the hotel staff taking liberties with their credit cards. I did not know what they meant until one of the staff indeed tried to charge me for breakfasts that I did not have at the check out. Nevertheless, this was resolved OK, so my only negative experience remains the pathetically flaky Internet connection. Guys, the internet being complimentary, does not mean it does not need to work :-) Tried the hotel restaurant/bar only once and it was kind of pricey, but otherwise OK. The whole Cite Internationale (although a very pleasant area along the river surrounded by manicured parks) impressed me as a ghost town (probably due to the recession). Still the congress center and the Cite's hotels were an adequate location for TPAC and its 500 delegates. There is very frequent, reliable, and priceworthy public transport connection to the downtown and other parts of Lyon. The other day we walked (tired of sitting for the whole day) and it was a pleasant 5km walk along the river Rhone. The Rhone Express that would normally connect you to the Saint Exupery airport was out of order and so the rather expensive taxi remained the only viable option for the airport about 30km away via a toll pay highway on the early morning of my departure.
A beautiful hotel with lovely professional staff. Only issue was we were put in a disabled room, I feel because we booked through a third party when the hotel was clearly quite empty.
away from any city life
hotel was clean, but the beds were very uncomfortable, breakfast was not served up to the time mentioned on front desk, hotel is situated in a quite area - good for kinds, boring for everybody else.
Hotel de la Cité Concorde Lyon
The hotel is in business center or district. However it is only a bus ride away from city center. There are cafes, bars and restaurants in the complex.
Convenience and Comfort
Comfortable stay in a modern atmosphere. My wife and I choose the hotel because it rated 4+ from previous customers; we agree. The positives: modern, good parking, quality furnishings and bedding. Also, the location is excellent with easy access to trams, velo bike rentals for easy access to the city precinct. Areas of improvements: The hotel was a little difficult to find, especiallly as there is no 'drive-up' reception....we had to park te car on the underground carpark to get to reception....but that was really minor. The other area of improvement is to increase the attentiveness of te restaurant staff.... we had to wait for menus, food and for surrounding tables to be cleared of plates. Overall, we would stay at the hotel and recommend it to others.
good hotel close to Interpol
Comfy hotel, cheaper than Hilton but equilvalent standard. Would recommend.
comfortable stay but..
Very nice comfortable and clean. It was a little hard and confusing to find the location and entrance when I drive to the Parking with GPS.
Hotel Concorde was average at best
This Hotel was nothing special. I have stayed in better for less. Service was average and the rooms were in need of some maintenance. One room had a huge hole in the wall where somebody had swiung the bathroom door open and smashed the handle into the the plaster board. I Would not return or use this chain again.
A well-run hotel just a bit off the beaten path.
This is a very well maintained property with a competent and courteous staff. The location is best for business travelers attending conferences at the convention center next door. However, the excellent public transportation system offers bus service on three different routes just out the door, which can take you to all the major tourist destinations.
Modern hotel a short trolley-bus ride from town.
We stayed at the Cite Concorde because it was a short walk from Le Transbordeur, a music venue where we were attending a concert. To get to the center of Lyon takes about 20 minutes by trolley bus. It's an excellent service - public transport in Lyon is very good. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, courteous and attentive. The hotel building itself is fairly faceless - but the room was nice and the bed extremely comfortable.
Lyon - Hotel
Good hospitality - incl.. small candies adn plenty of water in hte room. Windows could open and free WIFI. Perfect location esp. when attending conference.
Fantastic value in Lyon
This hotel is outside the main parts of Lyon, so don't expect to be within walking distance of much, but the surrounding area (park on one side, river on the other) is pleasant. If you have a car with you, this place is great -- the adjacent parking garage is less than €5 for the night (check with the hotel, but I believe the night hours are 8pm-10am). The rooms were clean, and in particular, the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely come back to this place.
Excellent business hotel!
A memorable experience
I was made to feel welcome th eminute I arrived at the hotel. The check in was efficient and professional and the receptionist went over and above the call of duty. She readily assisited me with my luggage. When I asked for an iron and ironing board, it was supplied in short order. Everyone was smilingly helpful.the4 waiter in the dining room was very friendly and helpful.I got the feeling that SERVICE was the watchword for members of staff. There was a mix -up about my wake -up call , which might have been due to an error of language.
Very nice stop along the way...
The hotel staff was especially welcoming. I think Benjamin was the young man at the front desk that went all the way to the garage to help carry luggage up. The entire staff was very friendly and quite helpful.
Great hotel for business travelers
Expensive parking over the weekend. Otherwise comfortable hotel with a polite staff.
Hotel de la Cité Concorde Lyon - a real find
Excellent service and close to the trade and convention centre and a number of fine restaurants, although some distance from the city centre. Very competitive tariff.
Great Hotel in Lyon
Will go back.
New Yorkers in LyonG
The hotel is wonderful -- and there's easy public transport (Outstanding tsubway, and very good bus) o the "old city". You'lll find excellent linenes, comfortable beds, quiet .. . wonderful views (we chose the river side -- the other side, park, would have given us the verdant tree tops of a remarkable vast park.
Hottel de la Cite Concorde in Lyon
Great hotel. Out of the city center but on a bus line 10 minutes outside city. Would have been a 5 if located downtown.
Best place to stay in Lyon!
VERY VERY Nice and Clean hotel.
Hotel de la Cite - Not great for sleeping
The hotel itself was nice enough and close to a beautiful park. Bus ride in to Old Lyon takes about 20 minutes. BUT - we had a child and they only have rooms that have a second bed on the 1st floor facing the bar [or so we were told]. Lots and lots of noise. We were told it all gets quiet at 10 but it lasted till midnight. All fine if you don't have a child. Everything else was fine. Wouldn't recommend for families.
Hotel for the tried business traveler
The is situated on the away from the downtown so if you wish to see the core of the city you must take a taxi or a bus. The access to the hotel is limited so the waiting for rides or fellow travellers is not seamless. I would recommend the hotel for conferences or team meeting is all the amenities are on site.
Very interesting old city.
It is a fine example of a small very well run hotel.I would certainly go back.
Great Hotel, Great Value!
Recommend this hotel for sure. Great price and great service in great town.
Good, particularly if you are attending at conference at Cite.
Was attending a conference in the same complex, which was very convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, but perhaps a bit expensive.
Excellent service - great front desk staff - lovely experience
Modern, contemporary, clean. Ticks all the boxes.
Practical hotel in the World Trade Center complex
This hotel is easy to find coming from the airport Lyon St Exupery. Follow Lyon and Lyon Centre, keep the river to your right, and the hotel is in a new business complex to your left with ample parking underground. The Hilton is in the same complex but I prefer this one. There are numerous restaurants in the complex, and you can walk to the city in 30 minutes or rent a bike and be there in 10. Rooms are clean, a little small, wifi included, and they have a terrific breakfast buffet.
