Favorite hotel to stay at especially cause the hot tub

Great Last Minute Room

Emergency trip and last minute booking. Wanted to be closer to lobby &/or elevators. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The only thing I noted was all trim in hallways along the floors were missing and peeling away.

Check-in was awful. Three trips to the front desk because keys didn’t work after a 30 hour journey. Property was undergoing refurbishing, but looked poor.

We had no heat in our room on the first night. When maintenance got there to fix it it was 45* in our room.

Date night stay

This is our go to place when we stay in Anchorage for date night. The rooms are always clean and spacious. The staff is always ready to help and are friendly.

Checked into hotel and went to room to get ready for pool time. Went down to find out pool was closed for maintenance. Would have been nice to be told when checking in especially having kids with me. Went up to room and had to call maintenance to fix the light in the bathroom. House keeping should have had it fixed especially when the front dest said the people before us completed about the light when they checked out. No towels were in the bathroom to dry off with and there was hair in the bath tub. Opened the closet to find a military jacket hanging up. All this showed us was the housekeeper

$285 for a room that did not even include breakfast. I should have stayed at Motel 6.

Staff is always so friendly. Hallways need new carpet but otherwise very nice.

Perfect last stop on long trip. Huge room. Easy parking. Clean. Big valet carts at the ready. Great central location to dinner downtown and close to airport. Some noise from other rooms but minor.

Very comfortable hotel

Really really comfortable hotel with very good service and open coffee bar, which was lovely. Slightly out-of-the-way location, and the hot tub was set to a really low temperature (probably a legal requirement but still). Generous check in time.

The air conditioning didn’t work and the fan made a terribly loud noise. It was very stuffy.

Easy stay in Anchorage

Uncomfortable bed, nice bathroom

The hotel was reasonably update and mostly clean. My biggest complaint is that mattress and pillows were uncomfortable and TV channels were limited.

I reserved a standard room with two double beds, but when I checked in they would only give me a king room, which was valued less than the double bed. The staff was rude and dismissive. We were told it doesn’t matter what our receipt said, the standard room is subject to change. Poor staffing and even worse training. We won’t be using crowne plaza ever again.

Wonderful employees

The room and interior of hotel needs referbushing but your employees were amazing. They tried calling for a taxi the night before then the morning we were checking out tried again 3 times. Knowone was showing up finally I told them they could call an Uber he showed up Bennie and Mary worked so hard getting out so we could get to our cruise ship They were awesome Bennie also told us of a great place to eat

Not great

Stayed due to proximity to the airport and free parking. Check in was quick but terrible since breakfast was included and she didn’t provide a voucher. Then when I asked for a voucher, she only gave for one person and so had to go back to sort it. Room was ok but in dire need of refurb. Bed was ok enough. AC/heating unit is very loud. Breakfast had friendly staff but food was mediocre and service was pretty poor and had to ask for drinks multiple timesand coffee was the worst in our whole trip. Probably won’t stay here again Shame since it has good potential.

Room was dusty, maid lied about my having Do Not Disturb on my door, and heating was not even and blew cold air constantly at ny bed.

Hotel is in much need of an update. The hot tub and pool were great to use. Beds were comfortable. But everything felt out dated and dirty. Breakfast at the restaurant in the morning was ok. All and all I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The Crown Plaza has always been a good stay in Anchorage. We try to stay there when we are overnighting in Anchorage. The only down side was the people in the room above us stomping around and making unnecessary noise.

Fabulous hotel and staff

This hotel is a must stay. Front desk staff is wonderful and so accommodating. Hotel is very clean as are the rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows. Great hotel and will stay here again.

For the high price tag this hotel simply wasn't worth it. No breakfast, no water bottles, no robes. The Juno restaurant was PRICEY!! And very limited menu. The one convenience was the airport shuttle

I was pleased with the service but disappointed because i asked for a top floor room through a message on expedia but apparently they never got it. I was put on the 4th floor where i could hear someone walking around above me loudly every night when trying to sleep.

The property was nice but located in a more industrial area.

Hotel was okay and staff were very nice. Breakfast was only available as a small buffet as staff called in sick and couldn't offer menu items so extra charge for breakfast wasn't really worth it.

The property was well maintained and the front desk staff helpful. Only one front desk person got abrupt when we asked if we could get the shuttle to take us to the train station. The others were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was great.

Nice hotel, but did not enjoy the obviously dirty floor and old tooth place on the sink and counter top. These are basics of cleaning.

Worst hotel experience ever. Ceiling creaked every step the people above us walked and they were active when we were sleeping. Never once was there house keeping the whole three days we stayed there, had to call and ask for fresh towers every evening when we came back, their explanation was the privacy tag in the morning while we were sleeping or having breakfast, obviously they didn't come back and check during the day. Facilities were old and dingy, when heating worked it was like a tornado...made our vacation at Anchorage less enjoyable.

WOW! My family and I stayed at the Crown Plaza during the end of our 2 week stay in Alaska. The staff was AMAZING! We switched hotels last minute so that we could get a shuttle to the airport. Our rental car had to be back by 4:00 pm and our flight was not until 11:20 pm. After the 12:00 pm check out, the staff allowed my kids to swim and all of us to chill in their quite lounge area. The staff held our suitcases in a secure location so we could tour the town on our last day. All of the staff was smiling and happy to help! I wish all the places we stayed had the staff this Crown Plaza had! Thank you, Rebekka

Hotel was nice but we needed to get to civic center to take bus and had to get 3 Ubers to get their. Not sure why with amount of money Crowne Plaza makes we couldn’t utilize the shuttle in this case. It does go to the airport what’s the difference.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. It wasn’t a super high end hotel nor is it a budget hotel, it’s a good stay for a reasonable price. There isn’t much that you can walk to, so if you want a hotel with a “downtown” feel where you can walk to shops and restaurants, this isn’t it. if you’re ok to stay at a nice hotel for the price with not a lot to walk to, then this would be a good value…

Water main broke and there was no water

Rather expensive for the quality of the property. Room above was leaking so carpet was wet and room smelled musty. Ice machine didn't work. Staff very nice.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make this stay a better one for me and my husband. My husband had an accident before our trip and needed to use a wheelchair to get around the staff gave a bigger room to accommodate the wheelchair. Also Temeeka was so nice she knew we went to downtown Anchorage and when we came back she asked if we had a good time. While I was tally my husband went up stairs and he thought I was going up the stairs because I don’t like elevators. I found out the stairs were locked and I was going to get my husband to come back down to get me but Temmeka said I will go up with you so you don’t have to go alone. While we were in there she said let’s take your mind off being in here she said what did you get in town. Before I knew it the elevator door opened. She was so nice to ride with me so I didn’t have be in there alone or call my husband. She generally cares about the customers. Thank you Temmeka. Great hotel and room was great.

Clean, friendly. Good restaurant

The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was spacious. We didn’t feel like we were tripping over ourselves and our luggage. The air conditioning was a little loud but nothing I needed to bring to attention of staff. Easy location to get from airport and to downtown.

Coffee, tea and water was a nice touch in the “tv room.” The fitness room was clean and bright. Staff were responsive and nice. Overall clean hotel. It is right on the corner of a busy intersection and there was some traffic noise late into the night. With a restaurant on-site, continental breakfast would be nice.

The two working the front desk were super nice.

This hotel is okay. My main problem with the hotel is that the prices they are charging (~400/night inc taxes) do not equate to ~400/night quality that I would expect from a premium priced hotel. Further, the abhorrent service in the hotel restaurant (as well as the menu prices being different than what is on the receipt) makes for the icing on the cake. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel.

The second floor 224, broken bathroom tile, bathroom wall paper was coming off apparent water damage, the hall way carpets are all ripped and and old rolling up, the beds are really old and lumpy, the walls inside the closet where dirty. Over rhe last few years this place has really gone from a 5 star to a 1.5 star.

Very nice hotel

My stay here wasnt very good room wasnt the cleanest. Went swimming in the pool they had know towels. I notified front desk never received towels so had to go back to room soaked. Also asked for one more coffee pod room only came with one. Never received that either. Phone didn't work either. Definitely never stay there again.

Many hidden facts not identified. Rooms only cleaned every 3rd day. No clean towels unless requested' , etc. Had to argue with staff about breakfast. Turned out I was correct. Overall disappointing

Well maintained property with clean spacious rooms.

Many mistakes with reservation and charges. I “prepaid around $1500 And then charged me again at check out.” If you look at my bill or reservation it crazy with errors.

Staff was not friendly and slow to respond to request. There were four I. The room and we request an extra towel that we never received.

The microwave we had, which costed about $20 more for it each day, was from the 1970s. The toilet was weak, and clogged easily. When we told about it, the maintenance just gave us a plunger to clear on our own. Not until the next day they were going to do it for us, but it was already cleared, but they did clean the floor where it had splashed. The cable tv was really basic quality, not up to date as the rest of civilization, namely not HD. The swimming pool was a great plus, it was pretty clean and not such as much chlorine as others. Thanks!

The room was very hot and we couldn't get the heat to turn off and the air to come on. We asked about it and maintenance came right away, but it didn't really resolve.

The hotel was not clean at all!

The hotel was clean and our room was as expected. Check-in was a bit unorganized. The first room we were given was already occupied by another person. Luckily they were sleeping when we opened the door. Our next room was fine. The pool was also closed when we checked in and finally opened partially a few hours later. The hot tub was still being filled but the maintenance person never came back and it started to over flow. My son went to tell the front desk but he never came back so we just left. Not sure if we will give the property another try next time or not.

Property was ok but our a/c wasn't working. We got in from the airport after 1am and didn't realize it until we were in bed for a while and it wasn't getting cooler. It was so late and we had to get up early the next morning, we didn't want to have to get dressed and change rooms in the middle of the night. We told the lady the next morning and she just said sorry and that was all. We had to pay $300 for this hotel and the a/c didn't even work. We should have been given some discount but since we were booked with EXPEDIA We'll wait and see if Expedia does something or just ignore the problem like they did.

Room was not ready at 10 PM. Wrong size beds

Room was not ready at 10pm. The individuals working at the front desk were very new and could not assist approximately 10 other families who were dealing with the same issue. Once we were given a room it had two full-size or double beds versus the two queen beds that I had reserved and paid for. I had for occupants and really needed those two queen size beds.

After check-in we used our key card on our room which unlocked the door, but the security latch was on from the inside and we couldn’t get in. We tried it three or four times because we couldn’t figure out what was wrong, then heard the toilet flush and decided we were given an occupied room! While my husband went back to the desk to inform the staff, I stayed upstairs with the luggage. The door opened and a flustered, sleepy looking maintenance man came out. I explained about the key card and he said he’d get his tools and we could have the room. We were given another room, but I shared with the staff it was a very creepy experience, it appeared like he was asleep. They said it wasn’t a big deal, he was probably just fixing something. Why were we assigned that room then? Why was the door locked if it was above board and obviously now it wasn’t clean? Hate to give an unflattering review, but I don’t recommend this place at all.

No major issues. The problems I had were that the TV remote didn't work even after the kind folks at the front desk replaced the batteries. The other issue was that I got up at 3:00 a.m. the next morning to drive back to Fairbanks and after taking a shower, I did not have bath towels to dry myself afterwards!

My room was not thoroughly clean. There was toothpaste on the bathroom light switch, hair in the bathtub and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. Otherwise, a great stay.

Staff was friendly and hotel was nice and clean. Indoor pool and hot tub working!
