this hotel is stuck in the 1960's.. its not a 4 star Hotel at all. e.g. no bottled water in the room shower system that has a mind of its own running arctic cold to sun inferno in a split second bed is uncomfortable and room smells of 'old' musty'. I would avoid. Even the Hotel (as per attached photo) it seems is saying it should ONLY be a 2 star and not a 4 star rating !!!!
Cross the street from bus terminal Very very noisy Rooms - are clean but your can hear everything through the walls
Great location near Charmartin Train Station. Clean and comfortable rooms and very nice staff.
Very convenient from train station & near to metro. Good breakfast clean room. Decor a little dated. Good value though.
Good for the money. Not a great hotel. Very old and the bed uncomfortable.
The staff are amazing in the hotel. We don’t speak Spanish and they gave us their full effort to communicate with us. We asked for suggestions being first time travellers and they gave us brochures and looked activities up for us and the availability. The cleaners came through daily they are amazing. Location is good to walk to lots of local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The air conditioning stopped working after a couple hours, however it was not a problem since it was relatively cool out. There were multiple hairs that were not ours in the bathroom. Only stayed one night, so we did not ask to move rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location next to metro and bus stops.
Great breakfast buffet
Excelente
Very good location. Staff helped us book our extra room and extra nights on line, they wouldn't actually book it for us while we stood right in front of them. The staff told us to contact Expedia to extend the stay but Expedia said the hotel didn't release any rooms to them so they couldn't help. Crazy doesn't begin to describe the ping pong ball the hotel made us going back & forth with Expedia. We drove 4 hours from San Sebastian without knowing if we actually had a room for the extra nights we wanted to stay. Expedia said we may have to book with another hotel as this one didn't want to take our money?
Friendly and helpful staff. Good parking. Nice location. Everything worked out really well!
Very poor quality for the money (more a 3* than 4*). Super small room. Weird chemical odour in the bathroom
Very nice hotel with pretty views to Plaza de Castilla, also very convenient to have the subway station across the street
AC was not operating.
Will stay again
Poor. Amenities weren’t working. Crap bed. Previously stayed at fantastic boutique hotel then this sludge of a hotel.
The staff was great and the room was perfectly set up and clean !!
We booked for a queen bed, but a double twin was honored instead. This should be stated clear to the guest.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very good. It is steps to local transportation.
A really lovely hotel. So handy for the railway station. Would strongly recommend. 👍
A good business hotel located near a train station and metro/bus stations. Easy to go to the airport.
I booked two adjoining rooms for myself, my husband and son. I was charged an extra guest fee of almost $80 by cheap tickets. Additionally, when we checked in they told us breakfast was included. Then when we checked out, they made us pay $76 for breakfast that we were told were included in our stay. The staff insisted that we pay. They did the same thing to our friends who traveled with us. Terribly disappointed with the hotel and will never return. The hotel is also very dated and in a terrible location.
Very close to the building I went for classes. Besides the metro station in front makes it perfect to move to other places in the city.
Right by the subway Great, safe area of towm
Uncomfortable
The bed was terribly uncomfortable, hard and the pillows as thin as they had nothing inside. All the wood in the room scratched or broken. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice
Great location for metro
Very good accessibility from Barajas airport via metro
We have stayed here several times while visiting our daughter. It is very clean, a little dog-eared so it could use some fixing up around the baseboards in rooms and bathrooms. The front desk staff speak English well and very efficient in getting something to your room that you ask for.
Okay- a little dayed but clean.
The most important is to inform the housekeeping of the hotel to put more soaps and body lotion for customers in their rooms
Well located, clean, etc but nothing spectacular
Nice hotel
Amazing hotel and staff. Crappy WiFi tho. Nice room. Clean and nice and quiet.
I booked this hotel last minute, with my travel changes, and wanted a place close to the airport and quiet. The location was a poor choice on my behalf, because the front street of the hotel was a major transportation hub for subway and bus, with heavy traffic. The staff did give me a room on the backside of the hotel and upper floor, as I requested. However, when I opened the door, all I heard was pounding and heavy machinery noise. When I looked out of the window, there was a new residential building under construction that is 2 years away from being finished [steel and concrete framed]. The building was over 10 stories high and workers doing various things on multiple floors. It was after 5:30 PM and so I called to main desk to ask about their schedule. The receptionist indicated they finished at 8 PM and started at 9;00 AM. At this point I’d already checked in and it was raining, so I just was exhausted from the whole experience. The next morning around 7;00 AM the machinery and noise started again. I’m very disappointed with the whole experience. I travel often, but didn’t have a good experience with Expedia this trip of 3 weeks.
Good basic business hotel. Clean rooms. Prompt attention. Only drawback was the room was extremely hot even though it was January and the heat was off. May have had something to do with the large Westward facing windows. Slept with the window open all night. Thankfully it was the end of a long holiday weekend so no later night activity outside.
Good value good location good service
Very convenient location, a bit dated but clean and friendly staff. I always use this hotel for business trips
Location to Santiago Bernabeu is prefect and also location of local transport links to airport and city center are fantastic.
Close to metro and madrid chamartin station
Place was a bit tired but overall relatively clean. Bathroom was large with a large window. Staff friendly and speaks english.
I am not sure what to say after my laptop was stolen from their event room. I don’t event know how this could happen I. The first place because it is supposed to be a safe place. The hotel is pricy and outdated. I wouldn’t stay there again.
Good Business Hotel
The Hotel is very well located for the Metro with a stop right outside. Not a great location for restaurants, bars etc, as its quite a business area. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly, room does not have Tea/Coffee facilities but apart from that it was good. They have underground car parking at Euro19 per day
Very well located Diagonal to Metro La Castellana and Bus Station in front of hotel
Friendly staff, great location right next to Subway station
A Smokey surprise! :(
I booked one of the last available rooms and was looking forward to a nice stay. Unfortunately I was given a smoking room. I was told that this was all that was left. If I had known that at the time of booking I would have gone to another hotel. My throat was sore in the morning. A lesson learned. If it had been a non smoking room, then I would have been very happy with the room.
The receptionist (Her name is Anna) was very helpful and provided a lot of information.
Good hotel
Next to metro and bus stations, but 20-25 min metro ride to historical area. Good breakfast. Very nice staff. Big and comfy bed.
Great Choice
All the boxes checked on hospitality matrix to be a perfect hotel.
This property is literally across the street from a bus station hub and a Metro station so public transportation is very simple. Unfortunately the public transportation is very slow and you are very far away from the places of interest in Madrid. So you must leave very early to get where you want to be or pay a taxi around 25 Euro each way. There is no pool, which they say in the listing but it would have been nice to have one there. The rooms were neat and roomy but the beds were very hard.
The rooms are well kept though the rest of the hotel could use an update. The breakfast-buffet is good. A good value for your money. Conveniently located minutes from the train station.
Good situation for metro, train station and airport by metri
Very prompt checkin with a clean quiet room. All I could ask for.
Great location for my family. It was within walking distance to my cousins and to the Metra!!
Location. I had to leave Madrid early in the morning from Chamartín Train Station.
Old hotel, overpriced
I went there 10 years ago and that’s the reason why I returned, before it was an amazing hotel but now it’s only an old hotel without any maintenance or improvement, doors are cracked and in very bad shape, filtrations from the ceiling, breakfast it’s over pricing, nobody helps you with luggage, honestly I won’t come back again!
Great hotel and service
We requested a nonsmoking room and received a smoking one, but the staff quickly assisted us and after that everything was perfect. Great stay!
the hotel needs a bit of cleaning in general, the entrance always stunk and the rooms could have been cleaner. It looks a LOT nicer in the images than what it is. The people at the front desk were very nice, and it is very conveniently located
Great locations. Close to transportation and attractions
A great stay.
Nice hotel, room I stayed in was a little small, but clean and cosy. Bathroom was large with everything you’d need. Not tea / coffee facilities in room unless they were hidden somewhere. Didn’t use the bar or the dining room but the Noodle diner across the road was very tasty. All the staff friendly and helpful. Definitely stay again.
The food from the restaurant can be better but the staff is lovely
Location and superb staff! Very friendly and accommodating to requests.
A practical hotel with a parking possibility (a bit expensive parking) and just in front of the Metro stop. The parking slots are very narrow.
Good hotel but room I was assigned was very small, which was a bit inconvenient.
Location Very nusy rception area- with long wait times to access staff
very good location, price and service. The room was very good.
Great hotel
Very nice hotel would definitely stay again and so clean fabulous
Lovely hotel & staff but very noisy hotel. It’s beside a busy bus station & main road roundaboutso it gets very noisy with traffic, horns & sirens particularly if you are in a front facing room. We also found that there wasn’t much sound proofing so it was easy to hear people in the corridor & nearby rooms. If other guests are being particularly noisy hotel staff will deal with it (the twats shouting & screaming at 4am in the room next to us were too chicken to answer the door to the staff & were quiet afterwards). It’s a good location for Charmarton station if you want to visit other towns & cities in the area & the number 1 metro line is in the bus station which will take you to popular tourist destinations such as Sol Square & the Grand Via shopping street. There’s plenty of chain eateries nearby or you can venture into the streets behind to find some lovely local places.
Old hotel
Very old hotel.
Will recommend
Nice staff, clean
Tidy, clean, great service
It was a nice place close to the airport for a really good price. You’ll see the wear in the rooms, specifically the bathroom, but it was clean and tidy. The front seat staff was very kind and allowed us to check in early so we could rest before heading into the city.
Unremarkable
Unremarkable in every way. Nothing good. Nothing bad. If i owned a hotel in an area as devoid of character and amenities as this I would upgrade my communal areas and sell a lot of food and drink.
The location was great. It was close our just a train ride away from Center City. You could even walk if you're feeling energetic
Great service! Room was nice and clean
Clean and confortable
Rooms were a nice size, different from the incredibly small rooms in Europe. Staff was super kind and the beds although comfy for me it was not comfy for my travel partner.
Excellence
Very comfortable
I am a non smoker person and only offered a smoking room. Terrible experience.
Not best for price
Run down, not very clean. We were promised twin beds but hotel does not have any.
Staff is ok but could improve becoming more friendly.
All fine, just the check in was late for us
It was fine, the only problem is the check in, it was too late, we arribe around midday expecting to get the room, leave our staff, prepare our things to go around the city but it was only available from 2 pm, which i know we should have checked previously, however for a hotel to do check in's so late it's a bummer on a 3 day trip. Besides this, everything else was fine and according to a good-hotel standard we were hoping. We were satisfied with everything
The buffet breakfast was terrible!
Fantastic hotel , great staff , great quality
The front desk staff were really good but let down by a slightly tired hotel room. Everything was clean and tidy, but some of the furnishings and fittings in the room (322C) need updating.
I was assigned a room that had not been cleaned. Finally the one I took had very poor noise isolation from street.
Breakfast wasn’t worth the price.
Location near the metro and my meeting location.
The Hotel is good but quite old and far from city center
Disappointing Experience
Overall, I was sadly disappointed with my stay. The photos that were listed did not show the older look that was very apparent when coming to check in. The smell of the place was old and smelt like mildew. I did take into consideration that it may have been a renovated building but the smell was a bit much at times. The staff spoke little to no English and to me that was a deal breaker for extending my stay. I expected some language barriers but trying to eat breakfast, go to the bar or needing room service of any sort was next to impossible due to the language barrier. On top of that they double charged my credit card for the room and fees for each night after they asked that I pay for my room and all fees at check-in. I tried to call the next day after I checked out to clear up the matter and I was told to email my concern due to the language barrier. I still have not heard back from anyone.
Would stay again
Metro stop across the road. Clean rooms and a fair price in the nice part of town.
Rooms too small, however staff helpful, rooms clean, toilet clean, bath tub clean
great location and warm greeting
Highly Recommend!
Great, great stay. Hotel was spotless, room was spacious and beautiful and the front desk was beyond helpful. Location was good - across the street from metro and bus transit hub. Not as much around the hotel itself but we discovered a wonderful restaurant by exploring a little bit beyond. An excellent choice.
Needs some repairs
The location was great, so close to the metro. The hotel it is a little outdated and the shower was awful , it was broken so it was hard to take a shower, I had to hold the shower head on my hand.
Great location across from Metro
Rooms need some renos but functional.. Cafe /bar good. Always fresh fruit in foyer.
Its not a 4 star hotel.
The only positive of this hotel is the locstion. The staff are very slow to atend you. The hotel need a renovetion. Room needs the complete day to clean the room.
Not four stars by a long shot.
Not four stars by a long shot.
Hotel is good for the price the only down side is the breakfast ,is too poor for the price and you can get it around by 1/2 of the cost.the other down side they control the ac and lights in the room throw the room key
Close to the stadium
I would stay there again. It was great. The staff has impeccable manners and eagerness to please
Excellent hotel
The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the Metro and the Chamartin train station. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, breakfast is good but pricey. We stayed here at the beginning and the end of our trip to Spain. The price was reasonable compared to other Madrid hotels.
Ok rooms, facilities and food. Pretty average for 4 star
