Poor maintenance amd cleanliness

Dissapointed with the poor management of this hotel, despite it is one of the latest additon of branded hotel in Melaka. The room is bare minimal and the bathroom is full of molds at the fringe and not maintained. Marriott needs to keep up to its brand!

Clean

It was new, clean and comfortable. I booked 3 rooms of which one room had the bathtub shower which was poorly design, very high and dangerous for both kids and adults. The other 2 which were normal showers were fine. Opt for that instead. Service wise excellent

Great place. Well maintained. The pool area was nice and clean too.

The location of the hotel is not good, a bit far from the center of the city. Nothing nearby. You cannot find restaurants, malls, and shops. We needed to drive 15 minutes to find cafes for breakfast. On the last day, we booked hotel breakfast. The choices were limited, and the taste was so-so. The staff were friendly but was a bit slow sometimes. The guests who stayed right above us were quite noisy. The kids were running around and making noises after 12pm. We didn't have a good sleep. We didn't know why we could hear upstairs movements. First time experience. Never had it in any other hotel. What we like most about it is its quietness. Not many guests in the hotel is probably the reason.

Loved our stay in Courtyard by Marriott. Short walk to the river and then a beautiful stroll into central part of town. Pool at this resort is now one of my favourites. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Best shower.

Breakfast was superb. View from our room on 25th floor was fabulous. Location was central. Staff were very helpful and kind.

Overall quite satisfactory . Would be better if hotel have a live music lounge . Guests might want to remain in to enjoyed the ambience and with some music. Also should have a health facilitities.

Needs improvement.

While the checkin was prompt and the rooms were good. Room service needs improvement. We called twice for plates and cutlery in the room and it never arrived. The room cleaning service too took a long time to arrive. It looked like they have a lack of staff when in comes to housekeeping.

Short, relax trip.

Having stayed in the hotel previously and enjoyed the great service, I decided to return for this trip. Received the same excellent service and check-in was a breeze. Even though we arrived an hour earlier than the scheduled check in time, the receptionist was flexible in letting us have our room early. Room was clean and well kept. All the staffs were friendly and helpful with queries.

Staffs were friendly and helpful. Hotel price for one night is reasonable and is a real bargain. Highly recommend travelers could choose this hotel to stay when traveling to Melaka.

Good stay other than a minor hiccup

having settled full payment via the pay now option, I expected a smooth check out, unfortunately I was charged for tourism tax which was specified during payment as paid and there was no need to pay, there seems to be some form of miscommunication between booking websites and the hotel management

Very nice hotel with very lovely staffs. The room are clean and spacious and the view from the rooms are wonderful. Highly recommended and will definitely return!

memorable stay

After a lovely stay despite the requirement of daily updating of room key card because the hotel couldn't key in straight for a 3 night stay the deal breaker was the hotel asked me to pay 3 days of tourism tax. My hotels com email clearly stated there's no need to pay. I paid, disputed and now 3 days later, the hotel mentioned curtly without an apology that the refund is in progress. yes, the hotel's other staff are wonderful except for the front desk and reservations team,

a bit of a letdown this time, as my stay was being extended by 2 additional days and during check-in, the staff assured me the system will handle it, however I needed to update the room card each afternoon and car parking as well, for the final day, when requesting for a card update, the front desk asked what time I would be checking out? I said, please check your system and indeed it showed I was staying a final day, upon checking out, I was told to pay the city tax even though the booking showed it had already been paid, I paid by card and the staff asked for the credit card details, why? my card was recently compromised and I am not sure if this is the modus operandi, in the end I paid in cash, very dubious front desk staff!

The staff were all very polite and willing to help. The room was clean and comfortable . There is even a shuttle service to Jonker Street. If you call for service or room service using their direct phone line , they pick and response really fast. Buffet breakfast quality is good. You seldom find cheeses and yoghurts stored in stand up chiller to maintain quality. There are like 4 flavours of mini muffins , 3-4 kinds of danish and 5 types of bread just to cite an example. There are a lot of electrical socket in the room to cater to multiple devices. The only thing that confuses me is the bin in the room. It is a recycle bin but I think it is too small for practical use and l am not sure how we should really use it although there are pictures. Otherwise all is great !

Fast and easy check-in and check-out. Front office staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is huge and clean. The hotel also offer free shuttle service to Jonker Street but will need to register at the concierge as there will be limited seats for each trip. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Thumbs up.

Lobby is huge, property is clean. Do take note that 2 double beds is misleading on expedia. It actually means 2 single beds as i was corrected by hotel staff during checkin. In Taipei courtyard Marriot. 2 double beds literally means 2 double beds. I would still give 5 stars for the value

Liked the swimming pool . Toilets were stuffy. Exhaust needed.

a new property with great open space and beautiful lobby. room is spacious and love the bathroom with plenty of room for my toiletries. love the cleanliness and there's a pillow menu to choose my suitable pillow for great night sleep.

It is an expensive 3 Star

Hotel.com label it wrongly as 4Star, it actually a 3 Star. It is a huge disappointment for the mistake because the price of 4Star. - Cheap renovation design and material - Bad sound proofing - low quality mattress (the spring noise is loud) - long waiting to check in - no view, the room facing residential block - breakfast not enough sitting and additional charge for kids + clean and new + service is fast and good ( when request additional pillow)

Book 2 rooms. 1 available at 3pm the normal check-in time. The other one is not until after 6pm.

New and staff is good

We stayed at Courtyard Marriott Melaka for 4 days 3 nights. It is a new hotel in Melaka and my family decided to give it a try for our recent stay. The room configuration of a deluxe suite is good for family of three. However, we were terribly alarmed and learned by accident that their room attendants were not changing or cleaning up the room cups and cutleries using the dishwasher detergents, and they were wiping the water-rinsed cups and cutleries using an used towel that had been used for the past how many rooms that they were cleaning. This is really a serious breach of hygiene which we could not accept for a hotel under Marriott chain. You do not know what could have been transmitted from room to room if there is someone sick from the early room(s) that the room attendants had cleaned and used the contaminated cloth to wiped the other rooms' cups and cutleries. The management needs to seriously look into this lapse of hygiene practice to upkeep the chain's name. To future guests of Courtyard Marriott at Melaka, please ensure your room cups and cutleries are cleaned before used.

The noise of door closing by other rooms are relatively loud. The breakfast crowd handling for weekdays is efficient.while the breakfast spread is good, the quality can definitely be improved. Car parking, checking in and choices of pillows are the plus points.
