We were able to check in at 9am which was amazing. The staff were friendly, room was clean, not much more to ask for.

Fast easy check in. Pleasant staff, Carlos at the bar/restaurant is delightful. Room was a great size, with a balcony. Most of the hotel is updated. Pool room and hot tub is quaint, could use an update. There was a Zen garden closed for the season.

Gentleman working the counter was absolutely wonderful. Room was clean and tidy. Balcony was very large and private. Parking is VERY tight for a truck. Frustratingly, there was a small SUV in the dedicated large vehicle parking but we made it work.

There was no room in the parking garage. The food at the bistro was terrible. Soggy cold hamburgers and microwaved pizza. Shower had no water pressure.

There was no water in the room. No one at the front desk when I attempted to get some water from the lobby. I grabbed two waters from the fridge for the room. At 2am in the morning the front desk repeatedly calls the room. Upon answering their first response is “you know waters not free here right” it was the most offside comment at 2am and put a sour taste in my mouth for this hotel.

Rooms need an upgrade… it was rather dated. No pictures on the walls. One chair (leg) was broken. No house coats. Fire alarms went off… no notice given when we were allowed to return to our home. Major construction next to hotel which will likely go on for a couple of years!

Staff was very helpful, even with the limited parking situation. We had to park off site, but suggestions were made to get in the parade in the morning for the next day. It’s a lovely hotel, with beautiful terraces and views. One thing that would have been nice is to have clean windows in our room for the view.

I love the location

The location was good for us but the room was quite cold. The doors and drawers of the furniture were not in good shape. The bedside table drawer would not stay closed ( I was hoping I wouldn’t run I to it if I had to get up through the night). The armoire door also did not want to stay closed and the dresser drawers were sticky.

We had habour view room which was a stunning look onto the harbour . The room was lovely just the bathroom had mold under the soap trays

Location is excellent. Service was terrific. Rooms need upgrade for bathroom, TV, and thermostat. What was very unfortunate was the massive construction right outside the hotel and our room. We were told about it at check in but that’s too late. The hotel should have to mention this on hotels.com when booking as a consideration warning. They also said it wouldn’t happen on Saturday but it did.

Temperature control does not work. Slept with patio door open. No real notice about jack hammering noise from upstairs for like 4 hours which was hard for our kids to nap.

Our toilet wasn’t flushing and we told them shortly after we checked in. We went out and came back and it was not fixed. Told them again and they said maintenance isn’t in until 9 so we were without a toilet

This hotel is perfectly located to the downtown and waterfront areas with all food options and things to do. Walking distance to all. Parking on site was great. Hotel is nice and clean, rooms are great, pool and gym were great.

Bed was horrible, very lumpy and uncomfortable. No greetings from staff other than on check in and check out (5 night stay). Location is great, easy access to waterfront and attractions.

The description did not say anything about the massive construction project out iur window that started at 7 in the morning every day. Waking up to a jackhammer is not a good alarm clock when on holidays

Love the location and the view of the harbour from the Zen Garden. Beautiful spacious rooms and easy parking . Conveniently located close to many optimal dining experiences. Highly recommend!

There was food left in my room on the floor from previous occupants. As well there was a few stains on the floor that looked like pee and my deck has cigarette butts left on it as well from previous occupants.

Balcony was obstructed by panels. Had no view. Very disappointed that they don’t disclose this before you book. Asked for a different room with a view but fell on deaf ears.

A nice hotel right by the waterfront. A very good location as a base of operations in Halifax. Numerous dinning options within easy walking distance. Rooms are large, well appointed, with plenty of electric outlets. We will stay there again

Bathroom sink had very slow drain. Outdoor deck was filthy. Room itself was fine. Parking was a bit awkward situation (public) but manageable. Price was acceptable.

Check is staff was terrible and so are the “check in policies” I paid over 1000$ on a suite for the weekend on my debit card and as I arrived, I was made to pay a 400$ cash deposit and a 47$ credit card fee after I was told a picture of mt credit card wouldn’t work. I was never told about this (during online booking) or in my 20 years of booking hotels. Check our staff was perfect, return was easy and quick. Definitely would come back just for the spa. Hotel itself needs some work :))

Construction noise was terrible.

Staying on the Halifax waterfront is a joy. Our room looked out on the harbor, and by chance there was a professional beach volleyball tournament that weekend. Delightful walking or bike riding, my place to eat, sites to visit, people watching. Everyone at the hotel was pleasant and helpful, especially as we tried to navigate our oversized vehicle into the parking garage.

We just love the rooftop terrace. A fantastic view of the harbour.

Well there was construction directly next door. Which was beyond the hotels fault. From 7 Am until 5 Pm Jack hammering and dynamite blasts going off as they were prepping the foundation of a condominium they were building next door. The hotel did provide a breakfast credit as an apology. It was a nice hotel otherwise clean nice restaurant.

Besutiful hotel! Very central location and the staff were really great. The room was quite spacious and very clean and modern. We paid the extra fee for a balcony but never used it because of the construction next door. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The look of the building was nice especially in the evening with all the lights in the garden. There was lots of construction around the property unfortunately but I realize that is not a fault.
