I enjoy the Marriott Courtyard Properties. There is always a different style in the bar area"s I rented with C.M. hoping I would have a restful night after a long day of traveling. The property felt old and dated. Carpets, had a smell, in the halls, the room the carpet felt damp, maybe an oily feel. with a slight mildew/ mold / damp scent. not a good feel right after you get out of the bath. I rented a two bed room, both beds felt like I was laying on springs. very uncomfortable, and very restless. Overall, location was great, staff was great,

It was okay

The property and location itself was perfect. The lobby looked and smelled amazing. Very updated and overall welcoming. The room however, was not so much. We were given room 103 and the room was clean but there was a large water stain by the air conditioning unit. The television was a little outdated by the amount of color shifting and brightness changing without wanting it. The bathroom had an odd smell with the toilet roll holder cubby being dusty. A lot of scratched and tears against the furnitures and bathroom appliances. Things like that. It wasn’t bad enough to switch rooms for a 2 night stay but it was noticeable. Overall the stay was good but not excellent compared to other Marriott branded hotels I have stayed at.

I liked the price. The felt the springs in be bed. The room was very outdated. Staff was really nice. Breakfast needs to end later than 10 AM, especially on a Saturday. Overall it was ok.

Everything was good, the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. Only thing is the hallway had an odor. It wasn’t too bad and you couldn’t smell it while in your room. I would recommend..,

Best water pressure

Out of all the hotels we have stayed at on the MS coast. This one has all beat. The service, space and comfort and water pressure by far hands down the best.

Needs a visit from Bob the Builder!

Room was in desperate need of help. Shower pan was broken and haphazardly patched. Toilet seat needed replacing. Carpet was sticky. The whole room smelled of mildew. The bed was something that Wilma and Fred Flintstone would have slept on - felt like it was a slab of hard rock. The air freshener used in the lobby was incredibly strong and seeped into our 1st floor room. We asked for a resolution and were offered nothing beyond being told the hotel was full. We expect more from Marriott.

Excellent place to stay! Courtyard Restaurant was fantastic! Best tomato soup I have ever tasted.

This did not feel like a Marriott. Our room had blood on pillow, hotel had no WiFi, and hot water wasn’t working in room. Rooms are very outdated and not clean. Please consider before you book because this was not a true Marriott experience.

There were some things we were disappointed about, but nothing major. One elevator was inop, exit door not working, toilet handle was not working like it should. We had everything we needed, but little amenities. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Overall a good place for the price.

Went just to get away with my husband and our room was not ready. But they did comp us a room at their sister hotel. So that was a plus! I would stay again. It was due to the air conditioning not working in most rooms

This beachfront hotel is convenient and reasonably priced. I'd skip the breakfast and drop by a coffee shop, for pretty much the same thing at a much lower cost.

Amazing...except for internet

The staff was amazing! The facility was clean. The room was comfy. The only thing I didn't like was that the internet connectivity was terrible in my room. Also, there was no connectivity in the gym. So, no streaming music for my workout. Other than that, I'd stay here again in a minute.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! I would recommend adding the breakfast option when reserving your room, as I did. It was discounted this way. I love that the hotel was away from the other hotels, we were not crowded on the beach at all. We were next to Shaggy's and down the street from Island View casino.

A team that goes above & beyond!

The highlight of this hotel was the staff and the view! In all honesty, the room could stand an update (wallpaper, bathroom fixtures, carpet, furniture, etc) but the service and location are top tier. It was directly across the street from the beach which meant sunrise on the water from the window and direct beach access just a few steps away. There was an issue with our room at check-in but Patrick, the person at the front desk, was personable and responsive! Before he could even finish giving a call to housekeeping, Ms. Tiffany, the manager, had already printed us new room keys. I was really impressed with their service. The buffet breakfast was a win too! The attendant, Micheal, went above and beyond to make sure we had great coffee, fresh food, and anything else we could have asked for. Every member of their team greeted us with smiles and fun interactions. We can't say enough great things about our stay here!

They said that we didn’t have a room after receiving a confirmation and driving with my son for 2 hours then had to drive around longer and pay

Reserved a king, got 2 doubles

Decent hotel

The hotel was clean however the entire hotel could use a makeover or be upgraded. The food at the restaurant was good. The location is great.

Didn’t like that we reserved a king and didn’t get that. The beach area was gross. Was going to stay for 2 nights but left after one.

Great location and nice staff.

I reserved and Requested a King Size Bed Room with a View. My Fiancée and I arrived at 4pm. The front Desk clerk advised my Fiancée that they do not have any King Size Rooms with a View. She tried to give us 2 Queen Beds with a view. I’m 6’6 and cannot fit into a Queen bed. I asked her why did they not have any King Size beds available. The Clerk stated it’s Subject to Change based on availability. I booked this Reservation weeks before hand at it showed available. The Clerk then advised me that all they had available that was a King Size was a handicapped Room. So we had no choice but to take that Room. Horrible Service and experience. I will never stay at this Hotel again. I’m also a Bombay Member.

It was very close to the beach and within walking distance to several nice restaurants and not far from the aquarium. The front desk staff was very friendly upon arrival as was the bistro staff. The food offered at the bistro was delicious. We didn’t get room service or even clean towels despite calling the front desk. The shower curtain had black mold at the bottom of it. The pool was huge and very nice except that it was not clean with green algae in the deep end. There were also broken pool chairs.

Overall great experience

Me and my fiancé reserved a king bed room on the beach side for our anniversary upon arriving at the hotel we get our room keys go to the room and they gave us a room with 2 queens whenever we went back down to ask that they put us in the wrong room we were told that all the king rooms were booked for the night mind you we booked a week in advance to have the room reserved in my name. They put us in a handicap “king” room which in my opinion would be unsafe for someone who is handicapped because the shower flooded the entire bathroom and my fiancé slipped and fell on the floor do to all the water being in the bathroom, which made us have to get moved right across the hall to another room and that room smelled like straight up weed. But at least we could see the beach…. Never once got a free night or a refund for the inconvenience. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Relaxing stay, walked to Shaggy's, beach across street. Room was nice, had minor signs of water damage, but overall comfortable. Large pool and terrific staff!

decent stay

The rooms were well used and needed remodeling. Huge water stains on the ceiling of the bathroom, sagging bed and worn carpet. There was a bandaid over the peephole of the door.

The check in girl was awesome!. The hotel was run down for the price. Funky smell throughout the hotel. Ceiling in bathroom lol..Got out of the pool.. wierd.. we were all sticky. I would expect this from Motel 6 or Super 8... this is a premium hotel.

Very friendly staff, everyone took time to greet and ask if we need anything. Would recommend updating bathroom and providing exterior wash area for rinsing sand from beach.

Horrible experience

Phone was broken, pack and play was filthy, water was slow to drain from sink, toilet was slow to flush, a/c broken and leaks all on carpet. Once i reported it to management he tried to talk to me let it was my fault. We spent almost $700 on a hotel that was busts besides it’s location and only got a $50 credit and the manager acting like he had no common sense.

property was convenient to all things beach and dining. The property had great breakfast and easy to order dining. large lobby with plenty of space to relax by the bar.

We got placed on the 3rd floor, room 312. As soon as we walked into the room we were bombarded with the sickly smell of mildew and the sweet smell of a fragrant cover up. The whole room smelled and the floor was wet. We asked for a new room, this time we were placed in 302. Up arrival at the third floor we realized the hallway was damp… Room 302 was no better than our previous room. Damp mildew smell and a fragrant cover up. We decided not to stay. The rooms and the hotel were that bad. I definitely do not recommend anyone staying at this dirty, smelly and dated hotel.

It was great overall. The only thing was the air conditioner leaked and soaked the carpet in that area.

My bed felt like a egg crates on top of bricks , your shower need some paint or something I could see black marks in the shower.

The lobby as soon as you walked in smelt so good! Very clean and the staff was super helpful and Friendly. You could tell the the room was freshly cleaned and smelt just as good as the lobby. Sheets were clean all the way down to the mattress. We loved that it was a very short walk to the beach. The only thing we didn’t like was that breakfast was not complimentary but was $14.99 a person.

I have stayed here many times in years past. The lobby is completely redone and is very nice. Clean and smells very nice. Across the street from the beach and walkable to several nice restaurants.

Family Trip

Pool was down for maintenance but everything else was great.

Beds very uncomfortable. No free breakfast. Have to pay for it and front desk guy was very rude because i didnt feel like having a conversation with him. All i wanted to do was check in and get some sleep.

Very disappointing. No liners in wastebaskets, no bathtub mat, slippery bathtub. Requested handicap accessible room. No seat in shower, which was a bathtub, slippery tub. Both my husband and I slipped in the tub. I am handicapped....he is not. Thought Marriott was a nice place to stay. Never again.

The linens were stained and had hair on the pillowcases. We requested new linens and changed them ourselves. They were out of king comforters so we were given two queens. One of them had blood stains on it so we decided to leave. I’ve never had such a bad experience with Marriott.

Bed is wore out. Very uncomfortable

The location was amazing. The view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beach was stunning. i definitely will return here when I visit Gulfport again,

Love this place the only hotel I will stay at on the gulf coast

Since the property is near the beach, I expected a lot of humidity, but the room never seemed to get cool enough. The bathroom I think is pretty old, small, and the water pressure was not great. The lobby is remodeled nicely. Breakfast is not complimentary. Bed was fairly comfortable.
